Hi, I'm Steph. I live on the western side of Brisbane with my kids and animals and it really is the best of both worlds. We're in the countryside, but the city is just down the road. I really love the open space. It's so great for the kids to just have the freedom to run around, invent and play. There really are free range kids here. From as early as I can remember, I've been prepared to give anything a go. I've worked really hard for everything I have. In my gap year I jillarooed on a massive sheet station in western Queensland and I've put myself through university a couple of times. I think the adage, you know, if you want something done, ask a busy person is really true. Just get in there and get it done. I really love watching out for my neighbours and they watch out for me. When we had the floods here earlier this year, I opened up my house. I literally left the front door open and I had three families move with all their animals, dogs and cats in crates. When someone needs help, just jump in there and give them a hand. My family are farmers and we've always been John Deere customers. So when I moved onto acreage, you know, John Deere was the natural choice for a ride on mower. I love how easy it is to use all the different attachments, whether it's the aerator or the spreader, or carving the big bucket around to clean up the paddocks. There's a stereotype that only old men are into lawn maintenance, but you know, there's plenty of chicks out there having a go. I don't have the time or the budget to create a perfect lawn. I do what I can and look, the lawn we have is perfect for us. And so mowing the lawn is really one of my happy places. I can put the ear muffs on, it's time to myself and I get great satisfaction seeing the results.
