Hi, we're the Ferners. My name is Fred, my wife is Christina. I have a daughter, Talia. We have the two purebred tenterfield terriers, Cooper and Chloe, and our new family member, Vinnie. We were living in Sydney, decided to move to Wagga Wagga. The opportunity to start a new career in daycare centres came up, so we thought it was good lifestyle change and to give us more time up our sleeves as well, we purchased a 12 block out near Coolamon. When I'm working out at Coolamon in the daycare centre, I stay out in our caravan. Out at the block, life is much slower and also it's just a great place to go and relax. We've always had a liking for nice red wine and just with a bit of vision we decided that a winery would be great just for us to go out for a getaway. When we first purchased the block, the fences were all pretty much destroyed. A lot of the fields was just overgrown with weeds, which Vinnie was great for, just removing all branches and pulling trees out. Vinnie and the slasher have been incredible because we've had to slash the block about four times in the last four months. We are up to a stage where we're doing some wood chipping now for the garden beds. So we're. We've got the front bucket so we can utilise that just to spread all the wood chips around. So just without the help of Vinnie, we would not have got anywhere near what we've got done. Vinnie saved us a heap of time and effort in the jobs that we're doing. It has saved us a lot of money already. We've not been relying on contractors to do a lot of the work that we've done ourselves. We have a new addition to the family that we use at the daycare centre. Our zero turn mower is very handy because it's just. It's very quick and it just can manoeuvre into any tight areas. When I first was introduced to Andrew, I just really believed in the man. I didn't have much of an understanding of the farming industry and Andrew and the John Deere team have just explained it all and made it so much easier for stuff which was way out of my league. Andrew's been out at all hours of the night. When we first purchased the slasher, Andrew was out there until 10 o' clock at night, just setting up the slasher and showing me how to use it properly. I reckon Andrew and I have formed a lifetime friendship along the way. After a long day working at the daycare centre and on the vineyard. It's great to hang out with family, slow down and take it all in it.
