Mitchell Channer, a parts apprentice trainee at Apgari Equipment in Perth, Western Australia, won John Deere's 2022 Technician award. He talks about the satisfaction of helping customers and what the recognition means to him.
My name is Mitchell Channer. I'm a parts apprentice trainee and I work at Apgari Equipment in South Guildford, Perth, Western Australia. What I find most satisfying about being a parts apprentice trainee is helping out people and getting them out of trouble, which therefore saves them downtime and obviously increases their revenue as a business.
It's been really good. It's been such a great learning experience. I've learnt a lot and I've met some great people and I've been able to network and it's just been really great. John Deere have done really well. Oh, I'm very happy, to be honest. I can't believe it. Yeah, I'm just on cloud nine at the moment. Feels great. Yeah. My dad's gonna be really proud of me. He's gonna be really happy. I'll probably. Yeah. Give him a call right after this. And let's.
