Must Have Tools to Keep on Hand During Mowing Season

Caleb Money from SunSouth Montgomery walks through the tools you need to keep a mower running during mowing season: metric drive sets, oil filter wrenches, grease guns, deck leveling tools, and tire sealants.
Hey, my name is Caleb Money. I'm a parts manager from SunSouth Montgomery. And today we're going to be talking about some must have tools to maintain your mower. First thing I'm going to talk about is a metric drive set. You can get these in metric or standard. It just makes disassembly of your mower 100 times easier. The next thing we're going to talk about is an oil filter wrench, because a lot of times those oil filters are in pretty pesky places. So this gets up in there and it lets you take it off relatively easily. There's two different styles. This is one you can put onto a ratchet, and this is hand. The next thing we're going to talk about is a grease gun. These are for predominantly your spindles and your tires to maintain the bearings for the grease. It really prolongs the life of your spindles. And this is the grease that I recommend going with it. It's HD water resistant because there's a lot of moisture when mowing grass. The next thing we're going to talk about is this deck leveling tool. It just helps you keep a clean cut on your grass and lets you check it after a season to make sure everything's lined up correctly. The last thing we're going to talk about is a tire sealant that we have here. This is a quick, easy fix. If you run over minor nails, what not, you pull them out, you load your tire up with this, and it seals it relatively well. You can get any of these products at your local SunSouth. You can come see me at sun south of Montgomery, and I'd be happy to help you.
