This is a YouTube video titled "Mythbuster: Why the John Deere Polymer Hood Beats the Competition" containing a promotional talk by Drew Shirley from SunSouth, explaining the advantages of polymer hoods, fenders, and floorboards over metal ones for John Deere tractors, emphasizing durability and color retention. The content is a single-speaker presentation focused on product features and benefits.
Hi, this is Drew Shirley with SunSouth, here to talk to you about polymer hoods and why they're superior to anybody else in the industry. Okay. First thing I want to show you is how durable they are. Metal hood, you're going to see that it's going to be a problem. Let's talk about metal. Polymer fenders versus metal fenders and polymer floorboards versus metal floorboards. This is actually green, John Deere green all the way through. So as you're driving through and you're bush hogging and you own this tractor and you're using it, limbs, sticks, all kind of other things are going to hit this. And if it scratches it, it's still going to be green. So it's going to be really hard to tell. Also the floorboard, when you're getting on and off and you've got muddy feet, you've got sand and debris and other things like that scratching on that floorboard, and it's metal, and that paint comes off, it's going to rust, okay? So if it's metal, it's going to rust. Guys, they don't build football helmets out of metal, okay? The reason is this gives, but it also stays, and it stays the same color. So if you're looking for your tractor to look like it does 10 years from now, the day you buy it, you need to look to John Deere and Sunsouth. And when you think equipment, think Sunsouth.
