Our financing solutions explained | John Deere

John Deere Financial walks through three ways to finance equipment: Hire Purchase, Finance Lease, and Operating Lease. Each option works differently depending on whether you want to own the equipment, spread costs over time, or keep it flexible.
We at John Deere Financial help you to find the best financing solution for the purchase of your new equipment. Let's take a closer look at the three financial products. Hire Purchase makes you the owner of your equipment at the end of the contract. Finance Lease is an attractive leasing alternative that allows you to enjoy many of the benefits of the Hire Purchase option. Operating Lease is a cost effective option to fund the use of a machine over a fixed term without owning it. Hire Purchase can range from 1 to 7 years. Finance lease from 2 to 7 years. Operating lease ranges from 2 to 5 years. With higher purchase, you can expect fixed payments and a fixed interest rate from the start of the agreement through to the end of the contract. Also with fixed repayments and a fixed interest rate. Finance Lease is an alternative where VAT is payable on each lease payment rather than in full at the outset. Operatinglease is an attractive leasing option with a fixed low rental payment, fixed term and no future resale risk to you. Moreover, operatinglease allows you to fix costs by choosing to add a maintenance plan to your contract. HirePurchase lets you choose a seasonal repayment option if your business requires it. Finance Lease offers the same. Operatinglease is ideal for businesses looking for a low payment option with minimum commitment. With HirePurchase you can claim available capital allowances for Finance Lease. Whilst you will never own a leased asset, you may be able to claim tax relief for the capital element of your asset. For Operating Lease payments can be written off as direct operating expenses, reducing short term taxable income. When you choose Hire Purchase. No usage restrictions are imposed at the end of a Finance Lease contract, you may request the equipment to be sold to a third party and you get to keep 100% of the proceeds from the sale. For Operating Lease you simply give the machine back to John Deere at the end of the agreement. This allows you to access your new machine without resale risk. Predictable running costs Just add a dealer maintenance package to your Operating lease.
