This is a YouTube video titled "Purpose-Built Performance | John Deere 904 P-Tier Wheel Loader" featuring a discussion between two speakers about the performance, efficiency, and operator comfort of the John Deere 904 wheel loader used in mining operations. The speakers describe the machine's power, ease of use, and technological advancements relevant to heavy equipment operation.
Our loader is one of our most important pieces here at the mine. We're fortunate to have a two pass machine that gets the trucks in and out of here quickly in the course of a day. If he's loading trucks and it's a two pass machine versus a three pass machine, he's 33% more.
Efficient compared to the older models. It has a lot, a lot of power. I noticed the difference as soon as I got in it and pushed into a pile. Normally I have a little bit of a struggle getting into depending on how heavy the rock is. And with that one, it didn't matter what size rock I pushed into. It just it went in like butter.
The mines run a lot of hours. You know, we run 12 hour shifts here and we do run the equipment pretty hard.
This machine keeps up with everything that I've put it through. And I put things through hell. The controls in the 904, they're actually really smooth. There's no stiffness to them at all. I mean, you can operate them with your fingers with no problem.
The cab's really clean, it's laid out really well and it's a very, very easy machine. Friendly to operate, not intimidating. Other than its size, it is a big machine. We've tried to stay on the forefront with Deere and buying new equipment, keeping up with the technology, keeping up with the operator comforts. I think everybody will really enjoy the machine.
