This is a YouTube video titled "R952i | John Deere" containing a detailed product presentation from June 8, 2020, describing the features and technology of the R952i trail sprayer and the R900 series. The content is a single-speaker technical overview focusing on the machine's specifications, capabilities, and operational advantages for agricultural spraying tasks.
So this is the R952i trailed sprayer, our highest technology trail sprayer. Built on over 70 years of experience in building machines at our factory in Horst, the Netherlands. This 5200 litre trail sprayer is the middle size of three machines in the R900 series range. Also including the R944i and the 6200 litre R962i. All are available with booms from 24 to 40 meters wide. The R900i series machines are long low trail sprayers built for high stability and high speed spraying in conditions where you can increase forward speed. So the proroad progressive axle suspension gives a smooth ride both in the field and on the road using maintenance free polyurethane dampers. The axle steering system operates in three different modes. Manual steering, automatic steering to follow behind the tractor all of the time and headland management tying in the axle steering. Along with the master spray control. The R900i series sprayers feature the unique dual circuit power spray solution system. The power spray system features two pumps, a 1200LPM filling pump and a 750 or optionally 1000Lp min spraying pump with direct rate control. So with a 1200 litre per minute filling capacity, PowerSpray fills this sprayer in a little over four minutes to give you a fast turnaround and get you back in the field spraying again. The R900i series also feature our power fill 50 litre capacity induction hopper. When we empty the induction hopper into the sprayer, we take all the liquid from here and we put it into the tank through the the filter basket in the lid so everything is filtered before it gets into the solution tank. With such a high filling capacity, getting all of your products into the induction hopper could be a problem. The power spray has a really nice trick up its sleeve to help us with that. All I have to do is switch on the induction hopper here and the flow from the filling pump into the tank stops. But the filling pump keeps running, supplying as much clean water as we might need to the induction hopper here. So filling product into the tank is less stressful with no race against the filling tank. So when you've got your product in the tank, you can switch on the agitation which has automatic intensity control. So no matter what the amount of liquid in the tank, you always get the right amount of stirring to mix your product correctly. And finally, the power spray solution system features fewer moving parts than other sprayers, so there's less to go wrong and there's no regular Annual maintenance to carry out. So the heavy duty steel boom features a 3D design to minimise torsion of the boom. The stainless steel spray lines are tucked right up inside the steelwork, totally protected. And the hydraulics feature end stroke damping for maximum durability of the boom. 2 automatic boom control options are available. Terrain Control Pro that controls boom height and boom angle and Terrain Command Pro that adds automatic variable geometry control. Both systems feature hybrid mode sensors capable of measuring the distance between the ground and the sensor and the crop and the sensor simultaneously to give better performance where the crop has gone down or where the crop hasn't yet met in the rows as standard. The machine is fitted with a five way rotating nozzle body. But optionally it can be equipped with the twin selector nozzles we have on here that allow us to either manually or automatically choose from two nozzles on the go from the cab. So we could have for example, a liquid fertilizer nozzle and a conventional spray nozzle, or two sizes of conventional spray nozzles switched automatically as we increase or decrease our speed in the field. R900I Series trail sprayers are Isobus machines. They'll operate with any Isobus kit display in the cabin. They come with their own dedicated sprayer joystick to control all the functions of the sprayer. But they can also be configured to work with an Isobus OXN joystick like this Command Pro. All the functions of the sprayer are on the command centre display. So for example, the sprayer main page or I can access the job settings for things like the tank filling screens or the auto rinsing screens. And we have five different rinsing modes which we can switch on from here in the cab to rinse out our machine completely ready to change to a new product. So it's easy, it's very time efficient and it's foolproof. The R900i series sprayers are very productive, advanced and reliable machines built for many years of cost effective spraying.
