This person is likely someone who has a role in the business management side of your operation or is a paid employee. A partner is a separate organization with which a data sharing relationship has been established. Partners are generally thought of as trusted advisors. You may establish partnerships with any and all organizations that you work with, for example your John Deere dealers, agricultural input providers or co ops. But it's important to note that while dealers are partners, they have their own tab in team due to their unique ability to support your business needs. A search box is available to help you quickly and easily locate a particular team member or you can utilize any of the available filters to narrow your search down by permission type, permission level, request status or attention needed. Filtered search results will be displayed for you in a list view and selecting any staff, operator, partner or connection from within the list will open the right Hand Details Panel this panel will include an overview of the team member, their contact information, their designated access levels and more. When setting up your team, think about what tools you would like your partner, organizations, staff members or operators to be able to access and exactly how much access you'd like them to have. Access for partners and staff members is broken out into five unique categories. It is very important to review each of these categories carefully as they impact your team's ability to use specific tools within Operations Center Web and Operations Center Mobile lets. Take a look at each category. Equipment Access enables your team to view and edit all things relating to your machines, implements and devices and includes access to equipment details such as location alerts and diagnostic, trouble codes, offsets and maintenance plans. These permissions are also used to authorize your team members to either view or edit your organization specific preferences and to designate which team members should receive organization related emails. There are two unique organization Organization Management Permissions that you can apply to team members in your organization. Contract Acceptance Permission can enable your staff members to accept contracts on behalf of your organization. Examples of contracts include JDLink, connectivity, service and Organization Terms and Conditions. The access levels within team are your way to maintain control of your organization and data. Each different access level within each unique category allows for very specific permission and abilities for your staff and partners. Generally, the higher the access level, the more abilities a user will have within each specific tool. Remember, you can always select show more to View detailed information about what each access category and Access level entails. As roles and responsibilities change within your organization, it may be beneficial to occasionally review or edit your team's access levels. Editing Access levels is simple. Within Team, select any staff member or partner. Then from within the right hand Details panel, pop out. Select either Access, Access Granted or Access Received. Then select Edit. Identify which access category you would like to make a change to. Then select that dropdown. Increase or decrease access for that team member by selecting the appropriate Access level number. To support a partner means to view or access a partner's organization. To do this, navigate to the Organization Selection drop down menu and select the partner you would like to support. Notice their organization name now appears in the top right hand corner of the browser. You may switch between organizations at any time. If you do not have access to specific data or actions when supporting a partner's organization, it is a good idea to investigate if you have the correct access level for the task you would like to complete. Navigate to the team in your organization and select the Partners tab. Then select the Received filter to display only the permission levels that have been granted to your organization by each existing partner. If a change is needed, you can request the necessary permissions from any partner by selecting that partner from the list and then selecting Access Received from within the right hand Details panel. Next you will need to select Edit, Increase to the desired permission levels, and then select Save. This action will send a request to your partner asking them to update your organization's partner permission levels.
