John Deere showcases its golf and sports turf equipment at Parkwoods International Golf Course in Queensland. The company demonstrates fairway mowers, spray rigs, and new technologies including precision turf management, electrification, and autonomous machines.
Today we're on the beautiful Gold coast at Parkwoods International Golf Course and we're holding a golf showcase event in conjunction with our local dealer. And the purpose of the event today is really to showcase our range of commercial golf and sports turf product and invite customers from around the South East Queensland area to come and ride and drive and also to give us feedback on, you know, what are they looking for to help manage their businesses going forward.
We use the John Deere fairway mowers to look after the football field as well as the fairways on the golf course, we've introduced a shortcut around the greens where we can also incorporate the fairway mower use. So versatility is a big part. The new greenmill technology is awesome. Some of the onboard flexibility to change speeds of cutting perimeters, turning speeds, stuff like that is really awesome technology. It takes a factor out of having to teach the staff so much and just inputting that information. You control what they're doing. The spray rigs I think are second to none. So we're just replacing on our four year lease with our sprayer and we just want to stick with what we've got because we know it does the job and does it well.
I would say that the spray rig is probably the most exciting machine here. Just the size of the area that we have to cover, it would make life a lot easier. And the machine being able to turn off the individual nozzles is, is a great concept at saving Chemical.
I think the most exciting thing going forward is probably going to be in the precision turf space, electrification and autonomy and I think all three of those are things that John Deere is actively addressing and you'll see coming to market in the next few years.
