Smart Connect App Overview

Hi, I'm Drew Shirley with SunSouth in Tuscaloosa. We're going to talk to you today about the new Smart Connect for the compact utility tractors offered out by John Deere. First thing I want to show you is the attachment that you order through parts that's compatible with all tractors 2 through 5 series. And basically it just plugs into your EDL connection here and it's Bluetooth. And you can connect it to your. My John Deere tractor, apparently. So what you're going to do is you're going to open your John Deere Tractor plus app. You're going to go and hit the plus button here at the top. You're going to make sure that your Bluetooth is active. With this app, your tractor that you're trying to add will show up and you'll actually click on the tractor. You'll actually select what kind of transmission you have. In this case, this is a power reversal transmission. And you're going to add equipment to your app. Then to get information on the machine, you're basically going to click on the machine. You can go in here, you can see the hour meter. You can see troubleshooting codes, diagnostic codes as of code. Right now, there is no active codes, no inactive codes, no ignore codes. Tells you basically the operation of how you do everything on your tractor, how you set up your machine, the ballasting information that you can use for the wheels and tire setup, safety information, troubleshooting. It also shows you things like fuel level, live dashboard, and it's going to show you ambient temperature, fuel temperature, your engine rpm, your coolant temperature, and all of this is live. So I'm going to actually start the tractor up and you can kind of see that it's going to be reading everything live off of the app here. So basically, this is just a. It's a $100 option that you can add to any tractor two through four. And it's something that actually gives your customer a little bit of help, a little bit of peace of mind. And basically it's something that they can use to get the info on their tractor, show how to completely take care of their tractor. And another cool little feature is it actually shows you compatible implements that you can put on this particular tractor. So it actually helps you sell things in the future. One other final thing is this is something that is proprietary to John Deere. As far as we know right now, there are no other competitors that even have this in, in the pipeline or in the future to come out soon. So once again, my name is Drew Shirley. I'm Sunsouth.
