Hey, my name is Jake from the Sunset Alabama service technician.
I've been here for a little over nine years. Most people have now started calling me Jake from John Deere because I'm not from State Farm. Well, in a day to day life.
Situation, I'll work on anything from little 3 series tractors all the way up to these. And right now we're working on a lot of these, a lot of eight Rs, everybody trying to get peanuts in, trying to get cotton gathered, but pretty much anything that goes wrong, that's what.
I have to go fix.
In my free time I do a lot of hunting and fishing.
I used to like to do a.
Lot of hunting and fishing. Don't have a whole lot of time.
To do it anymore. I've been to work on tractors at deer farms and got to see a.
Bunch of interesting things there.
Several of the guys I've become real good friends with, I've actually been able.
To go fishing with them, haven't been able to go hunting with them yet.
I like to get out, see different things, talk to different people, meet them, run their equipment.
So one of my favorite customer experiences about three years ago, we had some towers go down, some GPS towers, navigation.
Towers, and everybody started plowing up peanuts.
Everybody's lines were off, couldn't figure out what was going wrong with it. We calibrated everything, went through several different people's tractors to make sure it wasn't something with us with their tractors.
And our system ended up being we forgot about it.
We had the roof remodeled, had to.
Put a new roof on. They moved our tower. I had to go up there and reposition the tower to where it was, do a recording on it and move it over. Shifted everybody's lines back to where they were. It pretty much saved the whole peanut crop.
So one of my favorite things about.

As a kid growing up in south.
Alabama, we ran a small farm, mostly cows, no row cropping, but all the neighbors.
Everybody around ran big trout.
I was always excited to see tractor.
Going down the road or if we.
Were going down the road and seeing a tractor in the field, or if for some reason I got to go riding with somebody that just made my day.
And then the career come around, opportunity.
Come around for me to work for SUN Sound.
And now I get to work on.
Big stuff, the John Deere equipment every day. So that was one of my favorite things about it is getting to see.
All this new stuff, going to school.
Seeing all the new technology that's coming out up. That's what it's all about. John Deere.
