SunSouth Employee Spotlight- Rick Redmon

Hey, everybody. My name is Rick Redmond, and I'm with Sun South John Deere dealership right here in Montgomery, Alabama. I've been here 10 years now. I was in another career, 40 years, so that makes me really old that I've been here 10 years and this is my second career. I love it. I love the company. I love the company of SunSouth. I love the company of John Deere. I like the people that I deal with. I like everything about it. When I come to this office during a course of a normal day, I bet you I laugh a hundred times or more. And when you can go to work and laugh and go home and not be all ringed out with the stress, that's a good place to work. And yeah, I got problems like everybody else. I got to get equipment ready by a certain time, you know, everything's got to line up and you got to get them financed and all that. That's all part of the daily deal. But I have fun doing what I do. I was in the mortgage business again 40 years, and so I know that side of it. I know the corporate suit and tie part of the economy. It's fine. It's okay. I like this better. I wear a knit shirt, blue jeans and cowboy boots. How about that? And so that's a good thing. So I kind of know people. I like people. I like dealing with people. So I guess that's good for this job and my hobbies. You know, I'm like any other guy that's born, raised in Alabama, live here in central Alabama. I love hunting, I love fishing, I love. I used to love golf till my back got too. Too old for golf. Do a lot of things. Actually had a TV show one time, just recently quit doing it after 17 years in the central Alabama area called Venture Outdoors TV Show. We've got 21 stores in Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. So we got a store near you where all the advantages in the world of a huge corporation, but all the advantages in the world of a mom and pop operation.
