Targeted Applications - Speaking on Spraying | John Deere

Well, it's real-time, right? Like, there's a camera on that sprayer as it's running through the field, it's giving feedback into a controller that I can set the parameters and I can apply the herbicide on the plants that need the herbicide in this instance. So the focus in this field is around the green, which are, you know, less mature plants versus the plants that are more mature or, you know, yellow to brown in colour. They don't need that chemical to put on them because they're closer to harvest as we speak. So the technology is allowing me to basically pinpoint the greener material, apply the chemical to the greener material, and in this case it's giving me a saving because I'm not applying it to the material that doesn't require it.
