Jacob Autry from CleanCut Property Management and Rick Redmond from Montgomery Sunsouth talk about John Deere commercial mowers. They cover product features, how the equipment performs in the field, and what customer service is actually like.
Name is Jacob Autry and I own CleanCut Property Management LLC. We've been servicing the Tri county area for 12 years. In the last three years we moved to buying just John Deere stuff. We use Exmart for almost the whole time. Turf tracers and Lazer Z's and then we use hustler, we use skag. But about three years ago, I ran into one of the sales reps at Montgomery Sunsouth, Rick Redmond. And I was like, man, John Deere ain't cutting nothing. And he was like, well, let me let you demo one. The 930 is what I demoed, actually a 60 inch 930. And I fell in love with it. My guys fell in love with it. We're cutting hillsides that we had to use, stand on mowers that Exmarts weren't even touching. We're cutting nice terrain residential yards with 60 inch 930s and it's leaving the best cut out there.
I first met Jacob, I don't know, maybe three years, maybe four years. I know you came in occasionally, you know, and I knew you were a name out there. And one of my jobs is to sell and stress our commercial zero turns.
Only John Deere had the twills. I had seen somebody driving with one and I was like, man, I want to come by there and see about it and check out a John Deere. And then that's when you introduced me to buying a whole fleet of them also. Another thing that y' all sold me on was the mulch on demand, which no other zero turn manufacturer is doing. A mulch on demand system. I didn't actually believe it until I came in and actually looked at one. The whole deck actually is mulch on demand. Instead of. I was thinking just like one little.
Baffle where all three baffles close down and it's really kind of airtight under there. You don't get a lot of residue under there. And it is a great. If you're a cutter and you got places where you got safety issues about shooting rocks out, you know, that's a great thing to do where the next lawn you're out in the middle of the field, you don't have to do that, pull a lever side dish.
With us cutting schools and around kids and playgrounds, the safety of like, if I'm about to pass, I can just close it. I'm about to pass cars on commercial places, I can just close it. Or go and buy pine straw flower beds, you can just close the whole thing. So simple. It was an awesome. Design by John Deere. Go try out my. I'll be like, with my buddy, try out this mower. And then I'll be like, dude, call Rick. He'll let you demo one. Because all my mowers ain't got the good seats and stuff. I'm like, go demo one with twills and the seat. You know how many people we could drive down the boulevard and see cutting grass right now, you know, and be like, hey, look, let's pull these two off and cut beside them and be like, look, dude, this what you need to be on 800 hours in a season out of a mower. And I'm only replacing gas and oil and stuff. Nothing's messing up on these. And I'm putting them through the wringer every day, you know, people until they get to use one for like a whole, like, get it, use it. And then they buy one. That's. This is me. I bought one and I was like, dang, man, this thing, it lasting, it cuts phenomenal. It holds heels. Phenomenal. The weight distribution on it is awesome. And then you get a three year 1200 hour warranty, which is better than most guys. If I'm down a mower or if something tears up, I call one of the sales guys and they keep me going pretty much when whatever is happening. If it's a bad day, they pretty much got my back all the time.
