This is a YouTube video titled "Witness our JOHN DEERE 8R eAutoPowr Tractor in Action on the Field!" containing a detailed monologue from a single speaker describing the features, performance, and benefits of the John Deere 8R 410E Autopower tractor used on their arable farm. The speaker discusses the tractor's horsepower, efficiency, comfort, and reliability in various farming tasks such as ploughing and potato work. The content is a product testimonial or review rather than a conversation.
We trade as green farms. We're an arable farm growing wheat, barley, oats, beans, potatoes and grass for racehorse hay. We run eight John Deere tractors on the farm, ranging from approximately 120 horsepower to over 400 horsepower. We were running an 8 370R and we've replaced it with this 8R 410E autopower. We bought it because we wanted a little bit more horsepower and we were attracted by the E Autopower element of it, which replaces the hydro part of the gearbox with electrical components. We use the tractor for ploughing, cultivations, drilling and also for potato work. And we do about 1200 hours a year with it. We've run the 8 Series tractors for a long time now, and what we find is they're a very reliable way of putting power down to the ground. The inherent principle of a long wheelbase tractor with the engine set well forward, means that it's exceptionally well balanced and doesn't require a lot of extra ballast to perform well. With the new atar, the Autopower, we found that it's extremely efficient and produces a lot of power, a lot more than we expected, and it does it very efficiently too. The challenge of having over 400 horsepower at your disposal is getting the power down to the ground, and to do so, generally we run the tractor on dual wheels, but for some purposes, such as winter ploughing and potato work, we use the tractor on single tyres, going from a 370 to 410. We were expecting a marginal increase in power, but the tractor's more than exceeded our expectations in that regard. But also we found that with this E Auto power, the drivetrain is more efficient and we're finding that the fuel usage is only marginally greater than the old tractor. The new cab offers more comfort over and above the preceding model. It comes with DAV radio, it's a bigger cab and in our case, we've even got a massaging seat. The other aspect to it is, with the E Auto power, it's considerably quieter than the preceding hydro version of the truck that we've used the same John Deere dealership for over 20 years now. And although we don't need to use them very often, when we do need them, they're always there for us and problems are sorted out very efficiently.
