Flow Dreaming.
It's a show where we talk about.
The power of your mind to change.
Your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. We talk about this feeling of hope and joy and relief. And that is what being aware of your flow does. It gives you a feeling of power.
Again in your lives. Oh, my God.
You were so on target. You are so amazing. I can't thank you enough.
Breathe.
It is the feeling that you bring forward. It is your emotional connection that really.
Sets the tone for what is going to be happening to you and for you. And you know that feeling when you.
Touch it, it just spreads through you.
Thank you for taking my call.
I don't know why I feel like crying.
I think I just feel your love.
Of course. And I think I'm gonna get some ANSWERS.
I'm Summer McStravik, and welcome to another.
Episode of Flow Dreaming. Welcome to Flow Dreaming. Hello, lovelies. How's everyone feeling today? I'm pretty good. I'm excited because I'm starting a new little series. Sometimes I do this, you'll notice in the podcast, I will get hooked on a topic for a while and I'll explore it once, twice, three times. Different angles, different subtleties, different ways of working with energy, working with flow, working with manifesting around a particular topic. This latest one, this latest idea that I had been mulling around for a while, finally planned it in, and we're about to jump into it today, is, I think, a really fascinating topic. I call it the Lack Cycle. The Lack Cycle. To me, it kind of sounds like one of those series, you know, of juvenile fiction, like, you know, not Twilight, but what's that other one where they're all battling each other? Anyway, the Lack Cycle, what it's about is the traps in our thinking, our mindset, the traps in our energy, the traps in our ability to create that keep us in state of lack. And we're going to obviously be talking largely about finances as well as just stability and security in general, as well as these concepts of there not being enough of what is truly valuable versus what is not valuable. And I'm hoping that over the next couple of episodes, you can start to deconstruct your thinking a little bit, kind of, you know, open the door, let some new light come in. And it's kind of funny when you are listening to this program the first time through, believe me, people do listen over and over to the same podcast. In fact, I had someone tell me just the other day, she went back and listened to some podcasts from earlier in my, in my show, ones that were two, three years old. And she said, it's so funny. The second time through, I heard them completely differently. And I pointed out to her, yes, because you have changed and grown so much. You know, you're picking up different layers that you did not pick up before. So the lack cycle is really about looking into layers of your thinking, layers of your energy. Because all of you who know anything, even a smidge about flow, dreaming, know one of the basic principles is that your energy is reflected outside of you in all of the physical experiences, people, situations, everything. If you want to know exactly where you're at inside, look at outside. So if you've got people fighting around you, if you've got an unhappy workplace, if you've got an unhappy spouse, if you have depression, all of these things, you and your physical world are perfect mirrors for one another. A happy internal self generally creates beautiful, gushing, open, creative, constantly developing evolving circumstances in your life. The more, however, that you have shut off areas in yourself, that you have areas that are not fully developed and brought out, that lack strength, perhaps courage, areas that lack clarity, you're going to see that manifesting outside you in different circumstances and situations. And I do a lot of work with people with their patterns, energy patterns. You know, I'm not a psychologist. I don't look at patterns from that perspective. I look at them as kinds of energy, kinds of behavior, kinds of thinking, kinds of emotional content that play out over and over again and they spill over. It's like you are like an ice cube tray. You think it's just in your work life. Look closer. It's probably on your relationships too. It's just in certain areas you've been able to better manage it or mitigate it or, you know, have it be less. And it plays out in so many ways. You know, we end up, say, with a wonderful career and not a single sole person in our life that we're in love with, or we are the opposite. We love our family. It's wonderful. We have great relationships. Look at our work, it's a desert. Sometimes it's because there's things playing out that we're not aware of, such as the concept of lack. And you're going to see it in your life. We all have a concept of lack in our life. I want you to become an explorer and start finding those areas where you perceive lack, where you expect lack. That's a, that's a key. Where you expect lack. You think about that a second because it's there and it's going to start showing itself to you if you're paying attention in all kinds of funny little ways. Like, I hope my car tires are still going to last a little bit longer. Oh, I thought I heard my brakes. I'm right. And what immediately does your mind go to? Because I can't afford new tires right now because I need to make them last a little longer. I wonder if I'll be getting a bonus this year. Last year we didn't get any. And I'm so. My boss is so unhappy with me. What are you doing? You're expecting lack, right? Look at this. In fact, it could be an exercise for you to play with for the next 24 hours. Where are you expecting lack in your life? Where Maybe you're thinking, yeah, my boyfriend's going to come home and we're not going to do anything romantic. He's just going to go and turn on the TV and drink a beer. You're expecting lack. You're expecting not to get your needs met. Really? That's what lack is? You could rephrase it. I expect not to get my needs met. Here, here, here, and here. Write it down on paper. The next 24 hours. Every time something strikes you where you are anticipating not getting your needs met, jot it down. You're gonna be shocked if you really do it. Here's the thing. Most of us, you guys aren't gonna do it. We're not gonna do it. Why? Because we don't even give to ourself. We don't have time for that. We've got other things to do. We're too busy for that. Can't. No, We. We put ourselves last. We can't expect to have enough time to give to ourselves like that. We can't expect to get our own needs met. You see how I just took you right back into a core sense of lack? You don't even have time to do this for yourself. What do you have time to give to yourself? This is starting to open doors. Thoughts, I hope to where you're not getting your needs met. You're not even serving your own needs. Perhaps. Sorry. I dumped you into this show, didn't I? Like three minutes in and bloom there we are deep in. You know, I didn't even mention. I usually go through some of my. My preamble, which is to mention that all kinds of things are going on@flow dreaming.com. indeed they are. You know, the lack cycle is coinciding with a. An event series I'm doing right now called Money Intuition. You've got to be on my mailing list, though, in order to get the information about it. There are daily videos that you can watch. I've been able to interview amazing women. And, okay, I was a little bit sexist about it. I only chose women, but I did that really consciously because women often have a slightly different way of working with the world, with each other. They have different expectations. And I think that being that I have so many women listeners, I wanted to give people models that they could really and truly follow. Not some more masculine way of doing things, but maybe a feminine way of doing things. So, anyway, be on my newsletter, Money Intuition, and if you can't find it, let me know. If this is an older podcast, I'm sorry, things are gone. But just, you know what? Tell you what, Google Money Intuition Summer Mixtravic or Money Intuition Flow Dreaming. Bet you it will come up somewhere. I'll try and make it available into the future, but right now we're kind of keeping it on a limited basis. So, yeah, Money Intuition. And the reason I bring it up, too is because I just interviewed a wonderful woman this morning. Her name is Alexis Neely. We were talking about money and intuition because I firmly believe that self growth almost always leads to financial growth. Unless, of course, you're consciously choosing to eschew financial prosperity. Some people do that. You know, look at Mother Teresa, people like that who say, no, I'm going to grow spiritually and I'm going to remove myself from the world to do so. However, most people don't end up being able to remove themselves from the world. They have families, they have financial obligations, responsibilities. So instead I say, well, pursue the other course. Self growth equals financial growth. How does that work? I have seen over and over and over and over, the more people change that internal template, that internal structure. I work with flow to do this. I work with universal energy to do this with people. I work with the emotional expectations that have gotten lodged inside you. I work to open your mind. You know those few times you can remember where you realize, oh, my God, I just saw something for the first time. I just realized something about myself, or I realized something about my relationship with my mother, or I realized I could actually let go of that expectation, or I realized I was totally wrong, or big points like that in your life and your thinking that just, you know, it's like a train jumping onto a new track. I go for those. I don't wait for them to come along. I make them happen. I set up certain predictable conditions within myself and within other people where I know, follow this track. That's going to happen. You're going to have one of those, and then you're going to say, oh, my God. And then what follows on the heels of that? Your physical life starts to change in response. You get more financially secure. You finally meet your boyfriend or girlfriend or, you know, future partner. Just bam, bam, bam. All kinds of things. It's fun. It's taken me a long time to get here. I used to just teach basic manifesting. You know, here's flow. It's amazing. I mean, I can't say it's basic. It's amazing. The core of all of this. But I realized people reached a level in their thinking and they couldn't ask for more, they couldn't receive more, they couldn't. They didn't expect more. And I stopped getting anything more. And they'd say, oh, manifesting doesn't work. My life is just the same. It's like, no, manifesting works. You're not working something in. You push it. So I pushed it in myself, and now I push it in other people and I help you push it through this podcast. This all, of course, plays into the lack cycle, and it plays back to what I was saying about Alexis. We were talking about how well she was saying, I give her credit for this. She was reminding me and all of us that we are priceless. You know, we get used to one thinking of ourselves as being worth a certain amount. My skills are worth this amount. My degree is worth this amount. You know, blah, blah, blah. She reminded us, no, you're priceless. And you have to instead turn this around in your thinking. And instead you have to just decide, how much do I need to make, how much do I need to make, and how much of my time am I willing to give to make it come up with that? You come up with a number, then you figure out, what am I doing that will make that? What can I offer that will make that? Don't tie it to something hourly. Don't tie it to expectations of what you make in your career. Break out. Think bigger. Think bigger. It's there. And I know for certain for a fact, because I'm seeing people do this every darn day anyway. I love that. In fact, I didn't even put it across as well as she did. So you'll have to. You'll have to look up Alexis neely and Summer McStravik and Money Intuition, and you can catch that whole inter. But it reminded me of, you know, today's topic, the Lack cycle. And today I wanted to talk particularly about your energy income ceiling. Okay. And where do you think you're worth? Where are you falling? How are you valuing yourself? However you value yourself is being directly reflected by the salary you've got right now. I know that's going to piss a lot of people off to hear it. If you're not happy with your salary, you're looking at yourself now and saying, well, I'm happy with myself. Mm. Mm. Go deeper, go deeper. Let me rile you a little bit. Let me kind of get under your skin. I want to provoke you. You can. You can hate me all you want because, see, I'm just a voice in your ear. I'd rather you hate me than hate your best friend telling you this or your mom or someone else. Right. Your boss. Okay, we have a quick break to go to. When we get back, we're going to explore that a little bit more and figure out what is your income ceiling. How can we break through this? How can you get that aha moment as you start working your way through the lack cycle? Stay with me. I'm Summer McStravik. We'll be back right after this. Foreign.
But on break. And I know that some of you are still wondering, what is flow dreaming and what is mi School? Because I refer to both of these quite a bit in my podcast. Me School is a transformational program. It's a gorgeous and deeply revealing, empowering online school worldwide where I teach you how to remodel your life in any way you choose, using the technique of flow dreaming as well as a bunch of other deeply powerful life changing processes. So me School is either enrolling or it's accepting names onto the wait list. And that means that I'm accepting students who work with me for the year. And you can learn how to do.
What I do in life, the way.
I think, the way I build things, make things, heal things. Everything I talk about you will learn directly from me how to do. You're going to create some amazing things. My me schoolers. Their lives change way beyond the norm. And you don't even have to be a superstar when you go in. Some of you are, and you're ready to go bigger, play in that bigger field.
And some of you are just saying.
Hey, help with next.
Where should I go?
And both are fine. Both are great if you're ready to go big. But you know that you need to deepen your own spiritual practice and your personal growth because that's where it all comes from.
Right?
Then this is where you need to be. Your life only grows as big as you do. So here's what to do. Go over to flowdreaming.com and click on MI School. And during these enrollment periods, you can actually set up a free phone call with me or my staff and we'll talk about it.
Is it a fit? Is it interesting?
During waitlist times, we just put you on a list of people who've expressed interest, so we can notify you as soon as the doors open. All right, I look forward to hearing from you and even more to getting to know you as one of my personal students in me school. Now let's get back to the episode.
Welcome back to Flow Dreaming. So we've just touched on a few aspects of what it means to sort of raise your thinking. This is because I want to get you to start thinking about your income limit, your ceiling, the upper point of your comfort zone. And I know I'm not the first speaker or teacher to talk to you about this. I hope I'm not. I hope I'm not the last either, because it is an ongoing process. Every time you push one ceiling up, it's like pushing up the floors of a building or the ceilings of a building. You start in floor one, you go to floor two, floor three. And a lot of times, it's a natural progression. You know, when I was 18, I was expecting a certain amount. Now that I'm quite a bit older, I'm not going to tell you exactly what I expect more. Once I stopped, as Ali mentioned, stopped valuing myself according to a strict idea of hourly or what other people are charging for this or that. Once I started to realize, no, my life is really priceless. I mean, your time is limited. You've heard me say this before. Some of you think I'm morbid, but it's limited. You know, time truly is your most precious commodity. Or you could say your physical self, you know, your body, your energy, that's also your most important commodity. Those two are way more important than money, right? We've all heard those quizzes where, what would you give up, you know, 10 years of your life, your health, or, you know, million dollars, or, you know, being rich. Everybody puts finances way down. The point being that finances come, income comes, security comes. After you figured out your time and your energy, your time and your health and vitality, your passion, okay? Those are the two most confining things that we have. Income, however, is flexible. And most people have that reversed in their mind. First, they work themselves to exhaustion. They give all of their time. They give all of their energy for a little bit of money. Think about this. We've all been. We've all done this. I've certainly done this, too. I used to be the work hard and you'll get ahead type of person. Then one day I realized my personality is just to work hard all the time anyway doesn't necessarily guarantee I'm going to get ahead because, in fact, I've had businesses fail. You know, I've. I've even been fired. Working hard did not get me ahead. Made me stop and start thinking, what if I work hard in something that really suits me, suits my time, suits my energy that has flow to it. Oh, boy, it set me off on a whole new wild Mr. Toad's Ride of excitement. Now when I think about finances, I recognize them for what they are. They're a vehicle to have enough in my life that I can do what I want, be where I want, go where I want. It's not something that I have to squirrel away and create a giant, you know, bank account safely stashed in the Bahamas with. I don't have to do that. Money is something that's always rolling in. It will always roll in. It's something I could make again tomorrow if I lost what I had today. I know it would take me a year, two years, maybe three, and I'd come right back. Because I know how to talk to income. I know how to talk to money. And importantly, my income ceiling is pretty damn high. That means that if I were to receive large amounts of money, I would feel totally comfortable with it. I would know what I want to do with it. I'd know who I want to share it with, give it to, hire with it, spread it back into the world, into the marketplace, send it out to help other people. I would know exactly what to do. I feel very comfortable and confident now. I'm telling you this because I'm sort of revealing my energy structure to you right now. Okay? Can you see how these things I'm saying about myself now, if I look out into my physical life and world, you can kind of go, oh, yeah, I see why Summer has been able to develop a whole career around something as wacky and crazy as flow dreaming. You know, you can't go to school for it. Nobody hired me to do it. Had to start from the ground up. Had to trademark the darn thing. My point is, I took something. I took nothing and I made it into something. Okay, not that flow dreaming is nothing. That's not what I meant. To imply. But the fact is nobody had something ready made for me. I just made it up. I mean, I just said here's how I live, here's how I work. You know, basically I'm giving the world my thinking, I'm giving the world my processes, my techniques. And people are finding it incredibly valuable. So use my example. What if you were to do something like that? Could you do. Would you feel like I have something of huge value that the world can receive from me that other people will honor, Other people will want to learn, other people will want to have a part of a piece of God. You know, if you're a teacher, you have to feel that way about yourself. If you're a healer, feel that. If you're a lawyer, feel that way. I mean every profession you can feel that way. What you have is an amazing skill, talent, ability, something to communicate, something to give. Why let other people, other institutions, organizations, they're just big slow moving groups, big slow moving masses. What happens when a bunch of stuff gets together and it's heavy and it clumps together and it falls to the bottom, right? Energy, people, big organizations, you know, governments, corporations. The bigger they get, the heavier they get. Plunk. And that's why, you know, corporations, eventually governments, you know, people say they become corrupt and they become, they don't grow anymore. And they, yeah, why buy into the thinking that all of that is created about you, about your potential, about yourself. You are free, dynamic, alive, going somewhere. How many more years do you have to play with to become financially secure? What things do you have to take off your thinking in order to get there? You can do it, start today. It's not something you start tomorrow or next week. You make a decision in your head and you say, yeah, this is suddenly very important to me. And I tell you when you can place your commitment into something like that, even a commitment to. Yeah, I'm going to start reworking this. I'm going to get through this lack cycle in my life everywhere. And I will be very different. And my family's life will be very different. My financial life, my security, my feelings of streng and confidence and courage in myself, very different. All it takes is a decision. One thing. I'm going to get your calls. I see you guys waiting to talk with me. Thank you. I have something really exciting. I can't believe I didn't lead off with this in the show. I guess because I was already too excited about what I was going to talk about with my lack cycle. I'm starting a new School. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. First time I've mentioned it. So big secrets out new school. It is the ME School of Flow. M.E. school of Flow. M stands for manifesting. E stands for empathic intuition. Me. You guys hear me all the time how I work with energy and manifest by putting information into flow. And I receive information out of flow through my empathic intuition. I always talk about how it's a two way street. It's a yin yang, it's a, you know, it's a. It's an electric current going both directions. I'm putting together a program, actually, it's together. I am going to be launching it right now and I'll be teaching people over the course of a year how to do both. How to make them work together synergistically in your life, how to create things and how to receive the information to know what you should be creating. It's going to be so powerful. So if you're looking at my website right now, it may or may not be there. I am going to focus not so much on building tons of web pages this time. I'm focusing more on curricula and talking with you. So you'll be having opportunities in the coming weeks to actually talk with me. Schedule times to have little sort of strategy sessions with me. We'll talk about if it's something that interests you. So stay tuned for that. I'm going to be kind of really opening myself to all of my potential students because who comes with me in the next 12 months. You know, you guys are my babies, my flock, my students, my teachers. And I want to be real clear on who you are and if you're ready for this because it's going to be mind blowing for all of us. Okay. You know, I guess I should take some calls. Of course. We're going to be doing Flow Dreaming. A flow dream as we move forward, you guys who are new to the program. Flow Dreaming. Yeah, it's a technique for manifesting and I've done lots of shows about what it is. In fact, I'll do another one soon, giving you all the nitty gritty details, how I manifest, how it's really different and not Law of Attraction, but dovetails very well with those kinds of teachings. The teachings of Jerry and Esther Hicks and so on. So today I'm not really going over those basics. In other words, go to my website, you'll find the basics there. And check it out. Donna, you're calling from Belgium. How are you? Hi. Good.
How are you?
Good. How did you find yourself in Belgium?
I'm actually just here doing some work and yeah, I'm a bit trying to.
It's.
I'm jet lagged at it, but it's early over there where you are. Yeah, I called you before. I just want. I wanted you to look into my flow to see K. How you see the. My career going. I've been doing your Prosperity Challenge. You know, I've had the CDs for two years and every time I start I just never finish them. But I'm really keeping it up this time and.
Yeah. Hey, Donna, that's really. That's interesting. You know how I mentioned that, you know, I gave a little exercise for people to do earlier in the show and I said a lot of you guys won't do it because you won't give that time to yourself, to your own development because you're in a place of lack. When you don't do that. You say, I don't have time. You know, I'm the last on my list. That's a place of lack. When you are not able to complete, say, the Prosperity Challenge, something you are doing to create and open more income in your life right off the bat. That shows you I have resistance. Some part of me either doesn't believe it enough, doesn't think I deserve it enough, feels frustrated at myself for whatever XYZ reason you want to find that, because that's pointing up one of the things that the challenge itself is supposed to help you dig out of you. What's going on with your career or not going on with your career. What career are you in?
Well, I'm an artist and I have had a really rough beginning of the year, but things are really shooting upwards right now and I'm very grateful and I feel like I've done my time and things are going good. I'm just wondering if I'm going to see the financial boost that I'm looking for. I've been looking for, for years. I don't know if you can look into my flow.
Yeah, you're an artist. I've got. I'm doing that right now. My eyes are closed. All right, so you are an artist, you're living in Belgium or there temporarily.
Yeah.
You want to know where things are heading for you. Do you put your stuff in galleries or do you do more commercial arts? Gallery. Mm. Why do I see a big white area? Big white. I know a lot of galleries are white inside, but there's a lot of white art in it as well. There's A lot of things that are in whites and in softer, more natural colors, neutral colors. I don't know if I'm seeing your work or if I'm seeing a place for you that you'll be stepping into. What I'm feeling is that, you know, you've been trying these different galleries, testing them. It's like every time you move into a new gallery, you're testing a new market, right? It's like somebody who has a widget, and they. They say, well, it might sell at Kmart or it might sell at Target, or it might sell it, right? So it's like you've been hopping from store to store, trying to get any store, you know, and each store has a different clientele, different market. You. You're still, in other words, finding your true audience. Okay? So I don't want you to think about your work anymore in terms of what gallery you get into. And, you know, thinking of that being the end point. The gallery is a portal to your audience, the kind of audience who goes to that kind of gallery. You're looking for those people who match you, who align to you, for whom your art wakes up, something in them. They want to invest in your art. They see value in it that goes beyond just what they're looking at or touching. What I'd like to see you do before you walk away from any new installation, any new opening, is just be with your art. It's going to sound wacky, but this is what we do with energy, work. Be with your art and send yourself in it. Wrap yourself all through it and say, you are reaching out in my place to find the people who want us. You're my stand in. You're part of my connection. See? So what you're doing now is art previously has been something that you create, you put out there, and you hope other people look at and want. Okay, so you're putting the art in a kind of disempowering position because it has to be picked, has to be chosen. It's just there. But if you are tying yourself emotionally, energetically into your pieces, you are empowering those pieces in yourself and in themselves, and saying, now you're really part of the loop. Your energy is drawing this person in. We are a triangle passing the energy back and forth. You're strengthening it so that when people are viewing it, they're looking at the art, they're looking at you, they're looking at the art. They're saying, I'm feeling drawn. I'm feeling drawn. I don't know why. I'm feeling so drawn. I'm really responding to this. I'm responding. Okay. That's a little technique I think you could use. That's going to help you feel that your art is being seen and wanted as opposed to just being on a wall that people pass by, you know.
Summer, you are amazing. I just want to tell you that I actually do that I actually place women in my work and have them be an extension of the painting or sculpture. They actually are physically alive. During the exhibition opening, they will be standing alive with the work literally wrapped up in it somehow. So I don't know how you saw that. That is insane.
That is. Wow.
Literally do that already. And I've been trying to find the language to explain that, because I don't know why I do that. I'm just intuitively drawn to awaken the pieces somehow. So what I've been. I've been thinking of it as it being an extension of myself, of it being like a self portrait somehow.
But so awaken it through the women that you have standing there, sort of representing the pieces. Draw them into it as well. You know, it's like. It's like a. It's like a funnel. You're creating, you know, a whirlpool. Stronger, stronger, stronger. Connection, connection, connection. Then, you know, you'll try this at the different galleries, and you'll find the gallery where your people are. Don't lose heart while you're looking.
Yeah, I won't, but thank you. Thank you. That was really helpful.
You're so welcome. I think it's just. Just a little shift in your perspective. Do what you're doing. Do more of it with more intensity. And now you've been validated doing it, which is really important. Yeah.
I just need that money to come in a bit.
Go back to the prosperity challenge. Yeah. All right, Donna, I gotta let you go, my dear. Thank you. Bye. Bye. So interesting. It's so. It's so common. The things that I see are often actual, you know, literal presences in people's lives. I will see all kinds of crazy things. And, you know, part of being empathic is taking the sensor off myself and just saying, you know, not holding anything back, because I say things that make sense to the person listening and nobody else. But they get it. They're like, oh, my God, that's my signature. You know, that's my mantra. Or that's what I'm doing, or that's what my husband said to me yesterday, or that's what my dad used to do with me. Or it's crazy. And that's not crazy. It's just. It's just still. It's just gives me goosebumps. I love my work so much. Quick break again. When we get back, more calls. And of course we're going to do a flow dream. So please visit the shop@flowdreaming.com and see how you want to begin changing your life. Now back to the show.
Welcome back to Flow Dreaming. So the two topics we've covered so far today in this first episode of the Lack of Cycle are for you to think about your income ceiling, your energy ceiling, where you top out where you feel like, okay, this is just Getting into ridiculous mode. I don't think I could ever make that right about there. That's your ceiling. This is not something where you say, well, I'll win it at the casino or the lottery, because everybody says that flippantly to themselves. No, this is a realistic feeling that you have. How much am I worth? How much are my skills worth? Okay, you're priceless. Let's go back to that. But if you need to make a certain amount, figure that out. Now figure out how your skills can match that amount. Okay? Just turn things around. Don't look at your skills and say, what are they worth? Look at what you need and then figure out how to serve that. How to serve what you need with all of your resources, your skills, your talents, your ideas, everything. You can do this either as an individual entrepreneur, you can do this working for someone else. Good stuff. Okay, the other thing, I want you to pinpoint all those thoughts you have today, tomorrow morning, where you say or anticipate you won't have enough, that your need will not be met. That's really the number one thing, your need will not get met. Every time you feel that your need will not get met, you are identifying a hole in your life, an emptiness, a place of little energy. You're identifying an expectation of lack. What you expect, what you anticipate is what ends up forming around you. Basis of manifesting. Okay, little further on. We're going to go through some ways to start fixing some of these things, correcting them. Oh, gosh. One of the ways you can start now, of course, is to go to mmmflowdreaming.com you'll find I have an amazing store filled with goodies, playlists, MP3, physical books, physical CDs, downloadable books. Downloadable. I mean, tons and tons of stuff that you can peruse and enjoy and start working with to correct, expand, create, manifest different areas of yourself and in your life. Okay, Beth, let's talk with you real quick before we go into our flow dream today. What's up, Beth? You're calling. Hi, Summer.
How's it going?
I'm great.
Excellent, excellent. I'm. I've been reading up on reading a number of your books, including Creative Flow Dreaming, Tuning into the Podcast. Nice to talk to you in real time. Oh, wonderful. Yeah. And I was just wondering if I could get a little energy insight. I seem to be going through a massive energy slump. It's as if my flow or a tire, I would like, as if I had a nail in it or something kind of punctured and deflating and it doesn't quite make sense because I have a career that's creative and it's rewarding, but sometimes it's. It drives me crazy. But that's just part of the process, I suppose. And I don't feel particularly depressed, just tapped out and tend to feel better when I just get out of town, so. Was wondering if you had a hunch if it was the city, if it was. If it's time to do something that involved fewer people around me. Was wondering if you had any impressions.
Yeah, you know, it's interesting, your energy. It's like you generally have a high energy about you. Your flow is full of movement. Maybe that's what you mentioned about the people around you. It is full of movement. Stuff going in, stuff going out. It's like if you were some sort of, you know, packing plant, you'd be operating 24 7, you know, popping out the. Out the conveyor belt. That seems to be almost like a baseline for you. But over the years, you've been shifting, and I don't think you've been aware of it. You've been doing what you've always done because it's always worked for you. It's part of who you are. But you are, in fact, shifting. And I think you're just now waking up to that. And by shifting, what I mean is you are slowing down, and it's okay. It's a good slow. It's more like slowing down and savoring slowing down. And you don't need as much now, but what you need is to go deeper with fewer things. Yeah, that's the part that you're. It's not struggling with. You're just unsure. You're like, what does that mean? What would going deeper with fewer things mean to me? And a part of you is nervous, too, without the activity. Will I be okay? Will I feel okay? You know? You're not quite sure.
Yeah. I've usually been a little bit of a workaholic, which may or may not be avoidance, but it's gratifying. I play music, and lately I've been feeling a little more antisocial. Like, the last thing I want to do is be around people on my nights off. And I've been enjoying myself writing fiction and not sure if I really want to take that plunge. Not sure if I could sacrifice one or the other.
You don't have to. You can write your fiction while you do your other work. Here's what I think. If I were you, this is what I would do, because I Like putting physical structures in place that help manage the shifts that go on in my energy self and energy structure and flow. You know, I believe in action and pre action. The two go together. I would create something, a system in your life, a structure for six weeks. And I'd say Sundays, I see no one, I talk to no one. The only things I do are things that I truly want to do. I write my book, I sip my coffee, I go for a walk. Zero involvement with other people. Nothing full on solitude. But not to the point that it scares you. It's got to be so that you can pour yourself out. Think of it as, I'm not alone, I'm with me. I'm not alone, I'm with me. Okay. And this is going to help you kind of work through what that really feels like, what that really means to you. Okay. And from there you can add more times like that you can say, okay, now it's not just all Sunday, but on Tuesday nights I'm closing up shop. I'm kind of unreachable. And again, it's time with just you. And I don't know why I'm. I really don't know why I'm suggesting this to you.
Will it make sense?
Sounds right.
I have. Because I have no, no real set schedule. I sort of live from gig to gig and while I've been trying to set up with a lot of pre action. As for your writing with something that I can do fewer gigs but more rewarding gigs where I don't have to knock myself out. I can do things where people are actually digging it. There's security in the venues and people aren't screaming requests for free birds.
What do you do? You're a musician then?
Yes, I am.
Oh, wonderful.
So it's like on my nights off, the last thing I want to do is go to a bar. And I really am a people person. But I can also really be happy by myself.
Yeah.
And I keep thinking that if something just gives, then it'll open up for other areas of my life. Like you're.
You've got to date yourself. You've got to date yourself.
That's, that's absolutely, absolutely true. I'm. I can be completely happy by myself. That being said, it would be nice to have something in the close to a functional relationship. But until then, I do enjoy my solitude. I really do.
The thing about booking gigs and always being there for your audience is it keeps you in a constant state of being available.
Yeah.
It's like you don't shut off, you know, 24 7. I would imagine you sort of get.
The same thing too. Yeah.
If it's not playing to please your audience, it's receiving the email to book your gig. You're constantly available. You have to shut that down a little bit, see what happens. Explore it. It might be uncomfortable. If it's uncomfortable, I think you should definitely do it. I'm all about getting uncomfortable. Okay.
Right, Right. Absolutely.
All right, I gotta let you go because we need to do a flow dream today. All right.
Thank you so much.
Oh, you're welcome. Thanks for calling. Glad you enjoyed. All right, take care. Bye. All right, we have to do a flow dream. Oh, we have to do. Listen to that. Oh, doesn't that sound like. All right, everybody sit down. Put your hands under your under. Close your eyes. No, it's the best part of my day is when I get to relax with you, with clients, with myself. And I move into flow. I move into that place where everything just is. It's in a state of being. It's in a state of nowhere. The energy has all come together. It's all around us. We are the energy. We're part of the energy. We create an energy. We play in our energy. This is where we are in this flow, this ultra presence. And we can feel behind us. Yes, there's a past we can feel ahead of us.
It's like our toes just peeking up.
Over the the line signals the start of the race right there ahead of us.
It's our future.
There's nothing haphazard about it. You're like sending a marathoner off into the wilds with no direction, no route. Oh, you've got a route. You've got a direction. It's marked out for you. It's not pre planned. It's being marked as you go. It's being marked. It's being put together based on every choice, every decision you make as you move forward. It's being marked and created and put together by the feelings, the emotions that you're constantly pinging your future with. You're like a submarine sending out the sonar. Bing, bing. Constantly pinging it out there. What's happening around you is your reality. Your physicality is rearranging itself. Serve it. Serve it. Match it. Match it. Match him. Match her going around on around you. Right now. Things are being put together based on feelings you had last night and yesterday and the week before and the year before. Do you see your expectations out there? Do you see your feelings of either lack or bounty? It's all there. Lack or bounty you've pinged, that you've created, that you've been manifesting, that can you sense out there and the energies. You're still that little marathoner, just kind of humming along in the energies, not winded, feeling wonderful, feeling easy breezy. You could just, if you don't even have to run, you could just swing your arms and walk right in. Out there, you see this beautiful, glorious, gorgeous path that just shines with an internal light. You walk on it and it forms wherever you want to go. It gives you options and choices at every turn. You just keep picking the ones that feel the most right, that look the most good, that you have the most response to, that your heart leaps up and says yes to. There's an instinctiveness about it and an intuitiveness about it. Yes, yes, I'm gonna go there. Oh, yes to this, oh yes to that. Sometimes you follow a yes and it ends up with a dead end. And you go, oh, that was interesting.
You back up a few feet and.
You keep going and you recognize. Flo just told me that one ended. That one wasn't a long term one. That was just a short term one. That was just a little detour for a day, a moment, a year. That was that relationship I almost had but didn't quite. That was that assignment at work that I. I started but then stopped. A lot of things go on like that. It's all right though. I'm still moving. I have plenty of other chances in front of me, plenty of other places to go. One of those things I'm doing is I'm marathoning into my future financial security. My future financial security. That's a big one for me because once that is completely felt through, once I realize there's no lack there at all, it's always ever abundant springing forward and a never ending wellspring of security and income and possibility. Once I really grab that and understand that and feel that, wow, I can just imagine what the rest of my life will feel, feel like. As that energy begins to pour into my relationships, into my creativity, into my feelings about who I am and what I am, I can feel that person. I can feel that person right now, that person I'm becoming. Who says I lack nothing? Every day is an exploration. Every day is more fun. I lack nothing. I don't anticipate any lack. Sometimes I don't get things that I think I should or might want to have, but that's okay. I get something else that's all right. Those are just possibilities that I either select or don't select or either come to me or don't come to me has nothing to do with lack not getting my needs met. I always get my needs met. I always get my needs met. And that's the feeling at least. Linger on. This is daydream. This Flow dream, this emotional outpouring comes to an end and I open my eyes. There you go. I always get my needs met. That is your antidote to the lack cycle in your thinking and your feeling everything. All right, that wraps up our episode for this week. Like I said, the coming weeks we're going to be talking more about this lack cycle. I'm also going to be sharing more about MI school with you. Cannot wait to get my first student class together for this amazing program. Many of the pieces of the program, by the way, I've been working out the last couple years in various smaller programs, and I realized it's time to bring it all together. It's time to really give you the complete set of tools that you need. So I'll be sharing more about that as we move forward with more Flow Dreaming. Until then, my love to you all.
