Flow Dreaming.
It's a show where we talk about.
The power of your mind to change.
Your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. We talk about this feeling of hope and joy and relief. And that is what being aware of your flow does. It gives you a feeling of power again in your lives.
Oh, my God. You were so on target. You are so amazing. I can't thank you enough. Breathe.
It is the feeling that you bring forward. It is your emotional connection that really sets the tone for what is going to be happening to you and for you. And you know that feeling when you touch it, it just spreads through you.
Thank you for taking my call. I don't know why I feel like crying. I think I just feel your love. Of course. And I think I'm gonna get some ANSWERS.
I'm Summer McStravik and welcome to another episode of Flow Dreaming.
That's right. Welcome to fl. Hello, Dreaming. So I sound a little different today. The reason is that I'm doing. I'm taping my podcast by telephone. I know. Can you believe it? It's like the dark ages. Oh, my office has had its Internet, actually, all broadband Internet, television, everything completely down to the last two days. So this is my creative way around it. I. I also think it's a little whisper from my flow saying, you don't need to be connected. You're focusing on creating content and making stuff and making all your new flow dreams. And you've got to get in that head space and stop checking your email. It's funny how things actually work like that to support whatever place you have to be in. I get nudges sometimes from my flow reminding me. And there we are. So I have no Internet connectivity for this show, so if you don't mind the quality, there's still some really, really good qual content. We're talking today about creativity, where it comes from, how does it reveal itself, how do you feed it? Why do you need it? Do you think you're creative or do you think you are not a creative person? We're going to look at all of that and of course we're looking at it from the context of flow and energy and manifesting and creation. I think sometimes I don't talk enough about how flow itself is a creative medium. Medium meaning like paint or pencils or clay. It is something that is worked and shaped and guided and made into something else. It is an ever flowing fountain of change. So we're going to look at it like that today and see what's going on. In your life in particular. Before we do catching up, I direct you to go to flodreamming.com at some point, either during or perhaps after this live taping of my podcast. That is the website that I created my baby. It underwrites the free podcast that you listen to here. And you can find so many good things. A blog that I write about slow and thinking and experience expanding and going big and creating. You'll find my manifesting store where I've created all kinds of flow dreams, which are not meditations. They are active emotional processes that create things for you, change you, change the structure of your energy to bring new things into your life, change things in your life, whatever it is that you're looking for. I have, I believe, more than 100 of them now on all different topics. So you will find more than one. I promise you. You'll say, oh, I want that one. No, I want that one. That one. People always email me, is it okay to have more than one? I say, yeah, pick as many as you feel comfortable working with at any given time. The moment you feel bored with one, switch to another because you don't want to put the energy of boredom into anything that you're creating. So let's get onto our topic today of creativity. And while I'm discussing this, I do encourage you to call in. I'd love to talk to you. The number toll free is 1-877-230-3062. You can find that also by going to my website and checking under the tab that says radio and podcast or something along those lines. And that will tell you when I tape live and when I can't take calls, such as the moment. Of course, if you're listening to a podcast after the fact, don't call in. You'll reach someone else's radio program or you'll reach the studio and they won't be open. Nobody will answer. But if you're listening right now and it's live, give me a call later on. We're also going to be doing a flow dream to enhance your own creative self, to get you deeper in touch with it, to find out what it needs, to find out what your creative being is asking you for. So that's going to be a really good one. So what is creative energy responsible for in your life? What is think about this. I believe, I feel in my life, in my clients and students lives, creativity is really a wellspring for just about anything that grips you and makes you want to do, be, or become something at its fundamental Nature. Now, this is a very different interpretation of creativity than what we are sort of conditioned to think. We think artists are creative, and therefore, there's only certain ways you can express your creative self. You have to do it through music or dance or painting or drawing or knitting or sewing. But we feel like, okay, those are creative art. And we call them that. The art theater. The art. Creativity, though, does bloom. It does gust through the art, but it gushes through everything else as well in almost equal measure. I know that's heresy. What? How is a business person showing any sense of creativity? Well, you know what? The best businessmen absolutely are. They absolutely are. And you know this. Just feel it, think about it. Creativity is responsible for anything you feel passionate about in your life. Anything. If running a business makes you feel incredibly passionate, you know, you're infusing it with all kinds of creative ideas and feeling this inner joy, this desire to jump into something that is your creative self nurturing this. Maybe it's something else. Maybe it's not a business. Maybe it's something else. Maybe it's your home and you're saying, I want to fix up my house. I want this place to reflect who I am. That's your creative self saying, surround me in a nourishing environment. Surround me with what makes me feel good and open and comfortable and clean. There's so many ways. Those are just two. Creativity is also responsible for helping you distinguish yourself against the backdrop of the world. That's a Big Gulp kind of idea, but it does. It distinguishes you from the backdrop of the world. Your creative self is what helps you understand how unique you are, what it means to actually be or feel authentic. That's your creative self responsible for that. Your creative self is going to get you into all kinds of situations, relationships or schooling or workplaces that will help you understand how am I unique? Who am I? What separates me from my mom? What separates me from my dad or my sister or my best friend? That is directly a result of what your creativity, your creative self has asked you to look at and explore in your life. Your creative self is responsible for all of your initiatives in life. Initiative. Yeah, that's the sense of, I want to do something, I want to do something. I want to move. I want to get a new job. I want to get a new boyfriend. I want to stay with my boyfriend and get married. I want to have a baby. I want to lose 10 pounds. I want to, I want, I want, I want. Now, we often say, oh, that's your ego saying, I want, I want I'd like you to distinguish right now your creative self, your sense of initiative, from your ego. There are energies in us that will push us to do things because we feel we have to live up to something or correct something or all kinds of things. Right? Less than pure motives, more motives that come from fear. But when your creative self says, no, initiate, that's a feeling that bounds out of you from a place of joy, from a place of excitement. I want, because why? Well, it's going to feel good. It's going to make my life feel better. It's going to give me something. It's going to show me my distinctive, authentic self. If it's any one of those reasons that you're initiating something in your life, that's your creative soul waking up saying, mmm, give me something more. Creativity is also ultimately responsible for the level of contentment you have in your life. And yes, there's a lot of other things involved. Self acceptance, for instance, healing, the amount of love. But your creative self is the self that nourishes you, that instead inspires you to go after the things that will further nourish and care for you. Ultimately, that lands you in contentment. So now that you're realizing, oh, my God, my creative self, I never realized you were that powerful. Let's figure out what that creative self really means. And how is this relating to flow energy? How does this relate to manifesting? So I'd like you to look at flow energy as the creative substance of the universe. It's the stuff we are made of it. Just get out of your science mind for a moment. You can think. All right. Yes, I know I'm made of molecules, I'm made of atoms. I've heard that said a thousand million times. You know, beneath all that, there is a quantum structure that keeps me together, etc. Etc. Yeah, well, let's go deeper than that. Think about the information, the knowledge that has put you together. The ultimate quantum state. Or beyond that, well, we can't even fathom yet. There is a certain creativity that links things that created you. Separate from a tree, separate from a supernova, separate from a fish pond, separate from a radio. There's something that made you distinct, clear, different. Your own beautiful life form, able to hold and embrace every evolving consciousness. Ooh, that is big. That's big. That's creative. Think of it as a substance, because you are seriously, literally knit together from this energy, this stuff. But think of it as beyond being a substance. It's sort of like a particle in a wave, you know, it can be both. And that's what you are. You're a particle, a substance. You're also a wave. You're information. You're a push. You're a feeling. You're a drive forward. There is intention in there. There is a desire for a greater development, a greater expansion. What is that? That's a creative being. A creative nature. You could say Source itself as the ultimate creative being. Strip away everything else from Source, all your thoughts of it as being love or God or this or that. It has got to be the ultimate creative fountain, because everything it is springs from it, is. It is made of it, created by and from and for it, for reasons we can only come up with in our minds. Guess that. So when you are saying, I am getting to my ultimate creative self, flow is that self. You are made of flow already. Therefore, you are ultimately a beautiful creative being. It's being. Now think too. The bigger picture here, our universe. Most people think there was a bit of thought in its construction. A bit of thought, a universal mind, a God. Some people say, well, it was a creator created everything. Some people say, no, it's all of us. We're all part of that creator. We're all simultaneously creating together. Part of God or Source. Does it really matter? There's thought in this thought that helps pull the randomness together. Yet there's also beautiful, gorgeous randomness. We know this from science. We know that when something is evolving, for instance, there will be lots of random mutations, for instance, in our very selves. Those were perhaps not thought. That was just thrown in. So look at this now. You have both thought and intention and randomness. Now look at the duality of all life. Isn't that a perfect dualism as well? Your creative self both includes intention and thought as well as randomness. That is the spark, the ever elusive muse, that thing that we say makes it for us. Well, I did everything. I was very skilled, but I'm lacking that. Mmm. That something that. That just flows through me. That's the creative spark. That's the bit of randomness that charges things. So here I am, scaling all the way up to the universe and Source itself, and all the way down to you and your smaller creative process. Your creative expression requires the same kind of balance that all expressions create. The making of the universe was created. Your creative self, the flow that is in you, that's part structure and part random. That's your fuel. It's your fuel. If you are feeling right now, ask yourself, am I feeling burned out? Am I feeling tired, bored? How about restless. That is a symptom I often get when my creative self is getting low. My reserves are getting used up. Also irritable. I tend to feel irritable and restless. Other people feel burned out and tired. Some people feel stuck, some people feel lost. Those are all symptoms that your creative self is not online, that your creative imagining, your fuel is low and it's time to do something about that. So how do you feed your creativity? How do you feed your flow? Because that is directly responsible for what you manifest and create. When you are existing in a narrow field of creative lusciousness, let's say your life begins to reflect that. Your field of choice is narrows. Here's what happens to you. Your dead creative self, your restricted, your low creative self. You have higher stress, you have a narrower focus. Look at yourself. Remember a time when you were thinking of all kinds of things. Everything seemed possible and fun and wonderful. And now you're like, I've only got this and this to pick from. I have to do this and I have to do that. And there's no time left over for anything else. If you've been running that script in your head, you have a narrowed focus. That narrow focus happened because your creativity, your options, ran low. You didn't nourish and feed your creative self. You said it was not important while you pursued other things. This is what results. You also end up with a narrower sense of possibilities and a sense of emptiness or lack of purpose. I talk to so many people, so many students, clients, and they say, I don't have purpose. I don't know what's my life purpose? Where am I going? What's next? I say don't look for your life purpose yet. You need to unblock your creative expression. You need to let your flow out. You need to nurture it. You need to build it up, you need to give some stuff to it. You can't possibly find your passion. You haven't wooed your creative self. You've been crushing it. In fact, you've been negating it. You've been denying it. Let's get that back online. And then your next step will become apparent. It will bloom for you in front of you. So we're going to go to a quick break. When we get back, I'm going to offer you ways to feed your creativity, to nourish your creativity. I'm going to offer you ideas, activities, ways to bring it up and out inside you. All of these directly impact you're manifesting and what comes next. So stay with me through the break and we'll also get to your calls and some Flow Dreaming right after this.

Welcome back to Flow Dreaming. Oh, now we get to the good juicy stuff. I hope I convinced you in the first half of the show. Why you need to pay attention. We are so, and I'm harping on it because we're so conditioned to think of our creative self as a luxury. It's a luxury, right? We're conditioned to think of the art as a luxury. Well, it's something you only do when you have time. It comes after reading, writing and arithmetic. No, no, it doesn't. Your creative self, as I just said, is responsible. It is the fuel. Everything else you do is fed from your creative fountain. Your flow is the stuff of creation. You as a manifestor, if you're saying I want to manifest. I want to create this in my life. I mean, create creativity. You become a 100% creative being when you are in the act of manifesting. And you are in the act of manifesting every moment of your day with every feeling, every emotion, every expectation that emanates out of you. So, you know, this came to my attention actually a few weeks ago. I participated. I was part of a movie taping. Very cool. One of my friends, Laura Hollock, she is an artist who is very much involved with energy and source and creation. Everything right up my alley. Wonderful, wonderful gal. And I got to spend a few days with her in pure creative indulgence, just exploring, basically creating a white space. And that's the first thing I want to suggest to you. You have to create some white space in your life. Now, if you're into visual arts, you know that the white space is the paper that is not covered by paint. It is the areas that your eyes are not drawn to. It is the empty space waiting to be filled with something. When you create white space in your life, you're creating space that new ideas can flow into. But you see, you have to have a container for them. And when I went on my retreat and we did our filming and our photos, that became white space for me. And I realized I was very confused in the beginning. I thought, okay, here's what I'm going to learn, here's what I'm going to do, and here's what you know. And I was thinking all these things that I was going to do and be and accomplish and experience, and all of that stuff just fell right out of my head. And I was very, very quiet. And I even said to the other people who were there, I said, I don't know why I'm being so quiet. I just feel like I just have to be. I just have to be. And I realize, oh, I am topping up my creative self. I'm allowing it to be filled again with something new. So the first thing you do to feed your creative self, to feed your flow, allow some white space in your life. This can be time, empty thoughts, laying, gazing at the sun. Time to feel, not do. Don't think of anything. If you find yourself falling asleep, that really is telling you something. It says you're exhausted. Your body has to recuperate first before your mind can even wander. And after your body is rested, then allow your mind to wander. See what crowds in. See what you can let go. See what white space you can open. You can also feed your creative self through your ears. And many people do this through music. What music have you listened to lately? Is it the same old stuff? Is it whatever they're pumping out on the station you listen to? Why don't you look for something else? Give yourself something stimulating. Imagine that you are a child and you're sitting in a bedroom. And the bedroom has a beautiful mural on one wall. And you've been looking at that mural for 12 years. No one has ever let you out of the bedroom. You've memorized every bit of that mural. You can't stand that mural. There's nothing enriching and enlivening about it anymore. Even though it's a fantastic mural for someone who looks at it for the first time. This may be you. Bring some different sounds into your life. I have a collection of nature sounds and I play them for my kids at bedtime. Some days we listen to the American wild. Some days we listen to crickets. Some days we listen to thunderstorms. I'm bringing in new sound dimensions for them for no particular purpose. Maybe it helps them fall asleep, but it definitely stimulates their mind, stimulates their ears. Look for something new. I have a flow. Dreaming at bedtime for kids. See what I play. The thinking is also that one. Maybe look for chanting. Look for something different. Stimulate your ears. Stimulate your touch. Bring creativity into your touch. Go outside. Touch the rough bark of the trees. Go for a swim. Feel the water against your skin. Do something fun, physical. Take a walk. Twirl in circles. Feel your body in motion. That's your touch. That's creative. That's stimulating. That's opening things that haven't been touched in a long time. Use your nose. Bring some scent into your house. Are you regularly burning candles? Are you burning sage? Are you clearing your home? Are you clearing your workspace? Has it been a long time since you've done that? Would your co workers look at you like you're crazy? If you do that? Great. Do it. Especially do it if they think you're crazy. Do it. Bring scent. Do you have any aromatherapy that you use? Has it been a long time? Bring scent. Bring a bouquet of sweet flowers in and put them by your desk. Stimulate your nose. That's going to stimulate your mind. Your nose is deeply connected to your memory. I was reading that recently that your memory storage center and your olfactory centers are deeply linked. More than any of your other senses, which I think is crazy. Amazing. More than your eyes, which we rely on probably the most. More than our ears, which we rely on second most we think of our sense of smell as sort of, again, like creativity, kind of the lost one, the last one. No. Deeply important and last. Do stimulate your eyes. Look at some new things. Are you looking at the same environment every day? Is your office covered with the same pictures you put up six months ago? Go run your finger over some of them. Is there dust on those pictures on your wall? If there is, you've lost creative stimulation in your surroundings. Go change up your bedroom. Move things into different spaces. Even if you don't have the energy to do a lot. Move things around. Go put some vases here, move them there. Move a chair around. Go someplace, look at something new. If you haven't walked in your neighborhood in a while, go walk down some streets you haven't been. See what your neighbors have done to their homes and apartments. Stimulate your eyes. Don't stimulate them with more on television. Your eyes already know how to react to the screen, which is click, click, click, click, click. You're not really absorbing. Allow things to go deeply into you. Stop. Pause. Haven't you ever wondered why in the fine arts and museums, a person stops in front of a painting and looks for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, half an hour? There's a great place around my part of the world. They have something called slow art. Slow art, where you spend an hour gazing. It's a ritual. They invite you to come for an evening of slow art. And you think, why? It's not the art at that point. It's what the art is triggering off in your brain. It's the new associations you're making now from all of this. What will happen is your mind is going to be fed, your creative self is going to be fed, and you're not going to realize it's even happening. What you'll realize is, I feel different. And a new thought popped up. It's not A A to B kind of equation. You don't do this, and it results directly in that. That is not creativity. Creativity requires kind of transmutation. Ooh, I love that alchemical word, transmutation. Lead into gold, or whatever it is you're transmuting. You feed that creative being and it's transmuted into other things in your life. A kind of richness. It's like when you compost your whole vegetables and it turns into rich brown dirt. The actual composting is going on in you. It's going on in your flow. The result, though, is your life picks up. There's more stimulation going on. Your flow has more to work with. You get More ideas. You start to develop that sense of direction again. You stop feeling so restless, you stop feeling so irritable, and you realize, oh, my God, that is essential. I would pay $1,000 for that. I would. If there was an immersion for the creative self, maybe that will be the next part of my life, to create a school, to immerse the creative self. I would pay that because for me, that is as important as keeping my body healthy, as important as keeping my finances healthy, keeping my family healthy. Well, maybe my family comes first. But after that comes keeping my creative self vibrant, buoyant, whole. Because that directly feeds and impacts everything else I do and create. It impacts the size of the business that I develop and the reach that it has in the world. It directly impacts my understanding of flow, my ability to transmit it to you. It directly impacts how good of a wife I am, how good of a romantic partner I am. It directly impacts how good of a mom I am. Would you want a mom who was creatively dead in her soul, unhappy, unsure, stuck, restless? Or would you want a mom who said, ooh, let's go to the ocean today and stare at the water and see what it makes us feel. Oh, let's go ride bikes outside and see if you enjoy the sensation, the dizzying feeling of flying up and down the street and the wind in your hair. Oh, let's you see how there is a creative fuel behind every desire. The last thing I want to say about creativity, I've mentioned it. Creativity is not just the art. Hope you've seen that by now. The whole direction of this conversation, I've used the art as example. Creativity, expressing yourself, being nourished by it. Creativity, nourishment. It's painting your kitchen creative. It's rearranging the clothes in your closet that's creative. How do you want to set them up? What's going to work for you best? It's creating a PowerPoint presentation at work. Yeah, you can slap one of those together, use the templates, pop in the stuff, get it done before deadline. Or you can say, how could I really express this in such a way that that absolutely captures the material, that captures my vision for how I want these people to read the material? What about writing a proposal? Creativity. Are you writing a proposal for a book? Are you writing a proposal for your homeowners association? Are you writing a grant proposal that's creative. Helping your child with their homework Creative. You can do it flat, dead, unenthused, Buy the book. Or you can say, hmm, what are they asking you why do you think they're asking you to think like this? Why are they asking you to memorize this? Now it becomes creative. Figuring out your investment, figuring out your debt. Ooh, you're saying, yikes, that's not creative. Oh, yes. Nourish yourself with that. If you're figuring out how to pay down your debt, you're nourishing yourself. You're being creatively strategic. You're taking something and saying, I will change you. I will change you. What if you don't have debt? What if you have investments? I will change you. I will grow you. How can this be done? That satisfies all the different parts in me. The part that's saying, ooh, ooh, make a lot of money off them. And the part that's saying, no, be conservative. Don't be too, you know, hold back, hold back. Don't be risky. How do you balance and play with that? That's creative. Okay, you get where I'm going. Oh, my God. Every task that you do is a creative exercise of your flow energy, your soul energy, your self energy. Play with that this week. Just play with it. And the other thing they want you to do is they want you to think about nurturing and nourishing your creative self through regular feeding. Don't starve it. Don't starve it any longer. How can you regularly feed your creative self? Don't just listen to me here on the podcast. Think, think. How will I do that? What would I do? Oh, is it that you're feeling like. Are you feeling, like, all rusty and out of. You know, Are you like, the Tin Man? Here, give me some oil. I can't even think how I'll. How I'll nourish and nurture my creative self through regular feedings. Ah. Even that's hard to do. Get past that. Do it. Move to the next life you can. And the result, you're going to be a person when they're manifesting, who has so much in front of you, so much to pick and choose from, so much action flowing through your life. So many good, delicious opportunities happening for you in front of you. So much gorgeous communication, so much beautiful intimacy bubbling through, rippling through all your relationships through different degrees, different measures. That's where you want to go. That's where you want to be inside that feeling that nothing is off limits for you. Nothing is off limits. You're flowing in this creative bath. That's who you are, and that's that. So before we go to our next break, I know some of you Guys are waiting to talk to me, waiting for me to wrap up my long discussion. Let's go with. Let's go with. Tamara, you still on the line? Tamara, how can I help you today? I have been. I feel like I'm doing something to not be in my flow, to attract a long term partner. Okay. I want to see if you could help out with that. Okay, so you're not in your flow. You don't have a good long term partner. Have you had anybody recently? Yeah, I just ended a relationship a few weeks ago. Okay, so you ended something. I'm just going to look at you right now. I'm going to feel how you're feeling, what your flow is like, and then I'll go ahead and look and see what's around you. Okay. So I see you looking back at this person. A man, I'm presuming. Mm, yes. Yeah. That was decisive. I mean, it was decisive. I don't know if you realize the degree that you decided and made it be, but I got this sensation of a big pair of scissors. You realize this isn't happening. I'm not going back. Maybe you actually tried a couple times on this one. This has been snipped out. It's finally snipped out. So here you are. I'm turning you, looking forward with you seeing what you're seeing. You have this fear that the next man will be like the last man, will be like the last man will be like the last man. I'm pointing this out because I see this pattern in people. It's an anticipation of, lack of. It's an energy that we sometimes get stuck in. Where we say, this has been my pattern. This will probably reoccur. I have to be on guard for this. I have to be looking out for this. He's going to be another one who was almost there. But when it gets right down to it, we realize we're fundamentally different. He does something that just totally derails me and I realize, damn, another almost there. Another almost there. Do you feel what I'm saying? Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. So this is now an energy that you have inside you, and it becomes part of who you are and part of what you create. Not even part of what you attract. Part of what you create. Another almost there for you. What I'm sensing is that you're needing to just kind of create a revolution in what you're anticipating. I am not looking. If this is you and I'm speaking for you in your flow with you, the next person who walks into my Life is going to be a very different kind of person. And perhaps I will feel thrown off by this because it will feel foreign to. He will feel very different. I won't know quite how to read him yet. I will wonder. He might make me feel insecure. I accept that. I understand that because I'm anticipating someone I don't know. I don't know the way he works, because he's not that kind of man. The ones I do know so well. And so I'm learning from him. I'm being taught by him. I'm anticipating this. I'm eager for this. I'm ready to go feel a little awkward, a little unsure, but at the same time, I'm going to be practicing ways of communicating with him, of getting in deep with him that I haven't done before. And I'm going to be able to do it because that's going to be his nature. He will be so different that I will have the chance to play in all new kinds of experiences and ways of communicating and ways of being in a relationship. I haven't been able to do that till now because it's like I've been getting the same color clay to work with. I know how to work with red clay. I know how to work with red clay. He shows up and he's blue clay. And I say, I don't know what you are. He says, wonderful. Let's play. Let me show you. Let me show you. And you, you're releasing into that feeling. It's a release for you. Ah. It's a big sigh. Show me something different. I'm absolutely craving something different. I'm craving that feeling of not knowing. Of not knowing what to anticipate with him in the very best possible way. Not a way where I kind of have a sneaky feeling I know what he's like or what's going on. No, I know that feeling. That's different. So this one is, Wow, I can't believe you called me right away. And that you said this and that. And is this how you always treat people? Because I'm used to. And he'll say, no, let me show you who I am. Stop saying, you know I can feel that from you. Okay, I'm ready. I'm ready to hear it and be okay. I hope that helped you. I didn't check in with you pretty much. I just told you what was happening. Fingers crossed I'm right. No, thank you. No, that was amazing. Thank you so much. Okay, so can you practice that sense then, of being uncomfortable or not in a very good way, though. Absolutely. Yeah. Really open. He will not be like any man. And he might be the guy, he might be the one you end up falling in love and partnering with forever. Or he may be the transition man, opening you to this other kind of person. He may be the gateway man. Doesn't really matter. Either way, you have to go through this. You want it, and you just say, I want it with my whole heart. I want to know this. I want to be led into this. I need different materials to work with because I'm ready to expand, and I just proved that through my last relationship. Okay, thank you. Anything else, Tamara? No, that is it. Thank you so much. You're so welcome. All right, take care. Bye. Bye. Bye. And with that, I think it is time to go to a quick break. When we get back, I will continue with our calls and we're going to go in and wake up that creative self, go find her or him, nourish them, feed them, see what they're really asking us for. So stay with me. We'll be back in just a few moments. Hi.
It's summer, but on break. And I know that some of you are still wondering, what is flow dreaming and what is MI School? Because I refer to both of these quite a bit in my podcast. MI School is a transformational program. It's a gorgeous and deeply revealing, empowering online school worldwide where I teach you how to remodel your life in any way you choose, using the technique of flow dreaming as well as a bunch of other deeply powerful life changing processes. So me School is either enrolling or it's accepting names onto the wait list. And that means that I'm accepting students who work with me for the year. And you can learn how to do what I do in life the way I think, the way I build things, make things, heal things. Everything I talk about you will learn directly from me how to do. You're going to create some amazing things, my me schoolers. Their lives change way beyond the norm. And you don't even have to be a superstar when you go in. Some of you are, and you're ready to go bigger, play in that bigger field. And some of you are just saying, hey, help. What's next? Where should I go? And both are fine. Both are great if you're ready to go big. But you know that you need to deepen your own spiritual practice and your personal growth, because that's where it all comes from, right? Then this is where you need to be. Your life only grows as big as you do. So here's what to do. Go over to flowdreaming.com and click on MI School. And during these enrollment periods, you can actually set up a free phone call with me or my staff and we'll talk about it. Is it a fit? Is it interesting? During wait list times, we just put you on a list of people who've expressed interest, so we can notify you as soon as the door doors open. All right, I look forward to hearing from you and even more to getting to know you as one of my personal students in me school. Now, let's get back to the episode.
Welcome back to Flow Dreaming. Hey, Shawna, I think you've been waiting to speak with me for a little bit. How can I help you today? Are you there, Sana? Hello. Hello. How are you? I'm good. How are you? Great. What can I help you with? Well, I just kind of. I'm kind of stuck. I had a relationship recently that kind of ended. I feel like everything else in my life was going on track. I've been through a lot of change recently, but when that one ended, it kind of threw me for a loop, and a lot of things happened that I were out of all of our control. So I kind of want to know is, is that one going to be coming back, or is there something better out there for me waiting? It's funny. So my. I almost did. My topic today was on the flow of the breakup. And you and Tamara, you both are like, oh, you guys would have been right in target with that one. It's like, you knew. You knew I was going to do that. I'll do that one next week, though. That'll be my next podcast of one. Oh, that would be great. Yeah. The flow of the breakup. Because I realized I've never spent a whole hour on that topic before, and honestly, everybody goes through one, so. Absolutely. All right, so tell me this person's name. What was that? Josh. Josh. All right. Yeah. Tell me what he does and about how old he is out. 38. 38. You tell me what he does, Chef. Okay. All right, let's see you and you. All right, what was your question again? Now that I have him, I'm just kind of wondering. Wondering if he's coming back because our relationship kind of ended very suddenly and he was just gone. And I feel like it shouldn't have happened. And just kind of want to know, is he coming back or should I just move on? Oh, let's ask him. Why the lack of communication? You know, right now? He feels like he is distracting himself and trying to hide out. Yeah, interesting. He's hiding out, and he's distracting himself. If he can fill up his time, like going out or with other people with stuff and not think, he's trying to not think. And that's creating this gap of time where you're saying, I'm willing to think. Let's figure this out. Let's hash this out. Let's decide if that's what's really going on or what. But he's just telling me he hardly wants to talk to me. It's why I was having trouble finding him. He's just like. He's putting his hand in my face, like, don't look at me. Don't. You know, I'm looking at these other things. Well, let me ask you about, Shauna. Why the stop there. Why the pulling back so quickly? This is not the first time he's done this. Okay? He's done this before in his past. He has. It's like. It's like he reaches a point of decision making, and his default decision is to pull back, pull out. He would be. You know what? He would be a tough guy to marry. I mean, he really would, because he will. If you. If you try and pull him in, he will just pull back. He'll pull away. And that's what he's doing. It's. He's like. He's like, there's two men in there. The one who wants a relationship and the one who says, no, I don't ever want to. I don't ever want to be bound. What? And he just. I mean, his life pretty much. Pretty much crashed, and that's what caused him to leave. And I know that, yeah, that would be it. That's the binding. That's like, I can't. Boom. Like I said, it felt like a decision point. I don't know if maybe that's the crash you're talking about. But then he had. It was like, decisions, okay. We're at the point of decision, and bam, he just pulls right back. And instead of really going through it with a lot of thought, he is distracting himself, which is too bad. So I'm just going to tell him that, you know, it's like a person who drinks or takes drugs or something, they're trying to not be present in it. I just want to tell them, josh, be present in this. You don't want to do this again in your life. You know, you've had this tendency, and here it's coming up in a really Big way for you. This is it. This is your flow giving you a big opportunity. You're getting older, my man. Okay? So I'm letting him go. Whether he comes back to you, I just want you to know you're going to have your hands full with him in this pattern. You will want him to push him, to go deep to look at things, and you will sense avoidance with him. And I think that will always drive you a little bit crazy unless he really comes to his heart. You can't make him do that. He's got to step up first. And I know that's bad for you because you want to go feature for him. You can't. You've got to step up first. Okay? So just rest in that and some other time we'll talk about who's coming up next for you. Okay? Absolutely. Thank you. All right. All right. I wanted to go longer with both of them, but I have only a couple of minutes. So we're going to go into that flow and find out what our creative self needs right now. Find out what they Is your creative self in shambles? Are you a walking zombie of creativity? Rotting parts falling off? Or are you a beautiful, vibrant, glowing, luscious, creative creature? Eyes closed. Let's go into flow. For anyone new, it's not meditation. It's a very different animal. Go to my website, flow dreaming.com. by the way, I do have a series of flow dreams about your creative self. Getting past creative blocks, making projects be successful that are creative. You can check those out at the manifesting store too. This interests you. The whole topic interests you. Deep breath and relaxing. Feeling good. Letting go your body. Release your mind. Release. You are a little toy boat. You're a little toy boat and you're floating on the surface of a small boat. Pawn. Feel how comfortable you are. There's something childlike and whimsical. Maybe it's a raft made out of twigs and bark and leaves. Maybe it's a little red boat. Goodbye, storm. Doesn't matter how you look and how you feel. Maybe you're just a leaf, a large leaf. Slow floating flow floating in the creativity. Floating in this buoyant pond of light. Beautiful glow. And as you feel yourself aligned to the center, aligning to this light, you transform. You walk from this pond now. And you sit on the pod, soft moss on the side. And you drag your fingers through this glowing substance and you realize this is a pond of creativity. A pond of creative self. What is it like? Is it truly glowing? How big is it? How small is It. Is it moving? Is it fragrant? Is it rich? Or is it a little still and empty? Quiet? How do you want it to be? Fill. Fill it up. Make it look the way you want it to look. Make it be the way you want it to be. Watch it grow and bloom. See it surrounding you now. Oh, this is your creative self. This is your true creative self. Look over there. Is that a waterfall? Is it now pouring into your pond? Is it constantly refilling it? Is there a bubbling spring in the middle? Where is the creative source? What's giving to the self? What's giving to you? Well, that's you. That's part of you. It's fundamental. You found it again. You found it again. You dance with happiness and joy and light. And you realize. You throw at kisses and you say, I have to go. I have to go. I will be back, though. Now that I saw you, I will be back. And with that, your daydream dissolves and you return and you open your eyes and you're surprised how quick that little process was. Well, that was. Was just a creative interest. It was touching, tasting, sensing, becoming aware, opening up. Now you can go back whenever you want and make it deeper, wider, and more beautiful and more fresh. With that, we're ending our podcast today, out of the radio show and into life, into your beautiful, creative self. My love to you all. See you next week. We'll be doing the flow of the breakup. So until next time, take care, everyone. Bye bye.
