Flow Dreaming.
It's a show where we talk about the power of your mind to change your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. We talk about this feeling of hope and joy and relief. And that is what being aware of your flow does.
It gives you a feeling of power.
Again in your lives.
Oh, my God.
You were so on target. You are so amazing. I can't thank you enough.
Breathe.
It is the feeling that you bring forward. It is your emotional connection that really sets the tone for what is going to be happening to you and for you. And you know that feeling, when you touch it, it just spreads through you.
Thank you for taking my call. I don't know why I feel like crying.
I think I just feel your love. Of course.
And I think I'm gonna get some ANSWERS.
I'm Summer McStravik, and welcome to another.
Episode of Flow Dreaming Welco. Flow Dreaming. Hi, everybody, it's Summer here, ready for another rollicking hour of Flow Thinking. Flow Mindset. What is it like to inhabit a world where when you want to make something or create something, you do, and you can. And no one stands in front of you and says, no, you can't. No, you're not good enough. No, you're not. You're not able to. No, you don't have the education. No, you're too old. No. No, you're too female. No, you're too male. What happens when nobody is standing there saying any of this? There's no reason why you can't make or be or do or have whatever it is that catches your interest, whether it's something quick and small or lifelong and big. A career, a lifestyle, a way to live, a way to relate with the world. Think of life as a jewelry box. I suddenly felt very Forrest Gumpy there. It's off the top of my head. This was not in my script for today. Think of life as a jewelry box. What are you gonna pull out and wear? You can only wear one beautiful, gorgeous thing. Would you pull out something crummy and cheap and yucky? If you're. If you're looking at this, you know, gorgeous diamond necklace, no, you would pull out the most beautiful thing and drape it on you. That is what your life is like. You haven't seen certain number of years. I know. This is getting mortal now. Boy, this whole introduction is just going off track. But really, you have a certain number of years. What are you going to do with them? How many of them are you going to spend or even waste or put on hold while you dilly dally with. Should I or shouldn't I? Can I do this? Is it smart to do this? Everyone says to do that. You know, when we're young, we listen to what everyone says. Everyone says go to college. Everyone says get married. Everyone says travel a little before you settle down. Everyone says have kids. You know what? Life is not about what Everyone says life is about you choosing. What do I want to experience? This is it. These are your golden years. This is your prime time. Do it. Jump on it. I think because I pay such close attention day after day to the things that I create and my family creates and my students create, it just comes home to me. Not just the reasons why we stop ourselves, which I find just, you know, perpetually fascinating, but the fact that so many of us, you know, we're not sure even which thing to pull out of the jewelry box. What do we want? We don't know. And then we just stop even trying. And we then settle with one of those things that other people said to do. And when we wake up, we see our life and say, wait a second, where have I been? Hold on a second here. That is not what represents me. So today's show is about what represents you. The show is called how to get over yourself. Isn't that odd? Believe me, the whole show is going to be odd. Just like the introduction has been welcome, by the way, if you're brand new to the program. This show has been in existence as a live taped radio program as well as a podcast since 2005. Oh yes, long, like almost 10 years now. You can find all of my older podcasts up in the premium archives. To find that, go to my website, flow dreaming.com or download the app. You can find the app at Google, Amazon, itunes. The app is everywhere and it's free. And it will let you access those premium shows for like a really ridiculous price. I, I probably should increase it, but I figure, you know, why? It's only a couple dollars. So gives you years and years of, I don't know, many, many different topics just like this. I do have one request for all of you this week. Like I made last week. If you like the show, rate it on itunes, subscribe to it. Think of that as your tithing free program for, you know, some stars and few words or subscription. It very, very much helps and I love that you do it. Thank you, thank you. Thank you in advance. So today's topic, I actually really, really love. The phrase get over yourself is one that I say to myself constantly. And you're gonna be kind of dropping back and forth in your mind the whole hour about, is this a contradiction or isn't it? Wait a second. She seems to be contradicting herself every five seconds. Yes, I will be. Because getting over yourself creates the ability for you to do as much and be as much as powerful as you want, as courageous as you want. Getting over yourself, releasing yourself, conversely, opens the doors to everything you want to be, do or have. So, yes, there's a built in contradiction and we're going to try to deconstruct it over the course of the hour. The reason that I have often said to myself, just Summer, get over yourself, is because here's what happens. I think, okay, here's something I want to do. And it could be something really silly, you know, like I want to put together a party, right? And it's going into the holidays here and, you know, parties are starting to come up on everyone's plate. And I think, oh, I want to put together a party. And then I think, oh, but what if, what if I invite a bunch of people and they don't come? You know, what if my friends really don't like me after all? What if I spend all this time and energy and effort and then nobody responds to my Evite? And what if, what if, what if? And suddenly I'm down this road of worrying so much about myself. Are my feelings going to be hurt? Will I truly see how my friends feel? Will they not like me? Have I been misguided all along? Do I have an inflated sense of ego to think that everybody would actually want to come over to my house instead of somebody else's house on a Saturday night? I'm so deep into myself, I've created paralysis. I might never know because I've already convinced myself by being so attuned to my own insecure thinking. And I know you think I'm being ridiculous, but I'm not. This pops up in my head, too. That's exactly when I step over myself and say, summer, just get over yourself. Do you want to have a party? Have a party, see who comes. Enjoy yourself with those people who come. Does it matter? Are you trying to prove something to yourself about yourself? Why is your ego getting afraid? What's going on? I do this not just with simple things like in my social life, but really everything I take on. I do it a lot in my career, every time I think of something big. I mean, you've got to have a certain amount of. What's the word? Chutzpah? No, I don't really know. A certain amount of courage, gumption to say, hey, I'm going to create a new product and it's going to change people's lives. If I was turning my energy back into myself, I would be saying things like, are you sure it's good enough? What if it doesn't work? What if it doesn't change people? What if it only works for you and won't work for anybody else? Would I ever do the stuff that I've done today? No. Would I have this podcast? No. Do you know the first time I got on air was with Hay House. And I said, you know, I've never been on air before. I'm making this whole radio station and I've never been on air before. You know what I had to do? I had to get over myself. I had to say, okay, I might be a big disaster, I might just be a big old mess on air, but I can't afford to indulge in that. I've got to get over myself. I've got a job to do. And I did. And yeah, there were plenty of times that I really screwed up. In fact, there's plenty of times that I screw up now. You always hear me. I trip over my words sometimes I go off on tangents. I know exactly the things I do, but I still do them. I cannot afford the luxury, the indulgence of looking at myself. If I do, I will stop myself. I will freeze up. I will self doubt, I will worry and wonder, what are you thinking? Hey, every time I send you a newsletter, a lot of you guys are on my newsletter list. If you're not, by the way, get on it. I've just revamped and created a brand new introduction to Flow dreaming. It's a 30 minute training audio. It's fabulous. But every time you get a newsletter, and I had to send out a couple today, I think, gosh, I wonder what they'll think. Gosh, I wonder if I sounded like this, if I sounded like that, if I. Am I giving away too much? Am I revealing too much? Am I not being candid enough? Summer, just get over yourself. So I'm sharing this with you because, you know, you guys are doing this too. I know it. Really, I do. I know every single one of you. There's very few people I've ever met in life who don't have a degree of this. And on the one hand, we're kind of taught to believe we should. You know, you should be conscious of your actions or behavior. You should Be conscious of the way you come across. You know, be polite, be nice, play. Well, on the other hand, we're also taught. Are you sure? Are you sure you want people to see you like that? You sure you want to act like that? Are you sure you want to? And after a while, you think, I don't know what I'm sure of anymore. Who is me? What if I show the real me? What will happen? What if I do something just God awful stupid? Speaking of God awful stupid, I was walking out from an Italian restaurant a couple nights ago. It was my mother in law's birthday and my daughter bumped into me in the lot. She was hugging her aunt and she stepped right back into me and she just pushed me flat down. And I staggered and I staggered. And finally you reached the point of no return. And I was like, I'm going down, I'm going down. And I went flat down onto the asphalt. I actually scraped up my ankle pretty bad. My hands, fingers, even my fingernails were scraped up. I must have looked absolutely ridiculous. You know how it is when somebody falls. Yes, I was hurt, but at the same time, it's funny, right? And I thought, wow, I could really be embarrassed in front of my entire family and all my in laws that I just took such a major dramatic tumble. But I wasn't. I'm like, what do I care? Seriously, what do I care? Get over yourself. It's not about you. It's not about me. Okay, so this is right where we start tumbling into contradiction. What do you mean it's not about me? Summer, you're thinking. You're always saying to me I'm so deserving that I'm, you know, worth anything that I could put on the freaking best jewelry in the box in this life. And now you're telling me to get over myself. What are you meaning? I have been thinking about how exactly to phrase this. When you are self conscious, when you are overly aware of how you appear, how you might act, how people might take you, it's going to stop you every time. It's going to stop you and hold you back on the job interview. Oh, gosh, it's going to stop you on that date where you're like, oh, I don't want to appear this way or that way, or I better only order a salad or, you know, I better pay for the meal. You're doing all these things to try to be perceived a certain way. It stops your authenticity right in the track. However, on the other hand, you are a big deal. You're a big Deal. You're amazing. You're fantastic. You really are. Just like I am. Just like everybody I know is. I look at some people, sure, I don't like them so much, but I can't argue with the fact that they're inherently made out of the same material I'm made out of. You know, they come from the same source energy that I come from. They're made up of the same quantum energy that I'm made from. They've just done different things with it. And sometimes it's things I don't even like. But they're still deserving. They're still deserving to grow and to be in love and to experience the best life they can have. The goal here is to be full of yourself. Full of yourself. I know I'm taking a phrase and turning it on its head. You want to be full of the awareness that you are capable, competent, good, kind hearted, that you can take on things you can do, things you can accomplish, things you can achieve things. That kind of self love must be absolutely topped off inside of you as high as possible. That's simply an awareness of your true self. That knowledge, that understanding. On the other hand, when it comes to how other people perceive you, you want to strive for almost an opposite feeling. Don't really care how other people receive me. I'm not worried about that. I know I'm a good person. I know I act with best intentions. If I insult or hurt someone, I believe in myself to the degree that I know I'll be able to go and humbly apologize and recognize my error so I don't have to worry. How is my hair today? Did I sound bad? Did I get drunk at that party and say something stupid? Did I text when I shouldn't have? Did I insult someone in my family when I didn't mean to? Get over yourself. Stop wasting time on that. Can you quit your job and start your own company? If you are procrastinating on something? If you are holding back on something, ask yourself, is it because I can't get over myself? See, I notice that whenever I'm hanging back from something, it's often because I have too much of my own self image tied up in it. Okay, so for instance, I want to do something, but I worry, will I succeed? Am I going to be okay? Will I look good? Will I, you know, will I this? Will I that? And those of us who are type A personalities and perfectionists and we have to do everything right and perfect and we want everyone to see how right and perfect we are, we're the worst. We have to really work to get over ourself. We have to really work to turn it down a notch and say, you know what? Here's who I am, this is what I am. I love what I am. And I'm not going to worry about how it comes across because if I do that, then I've got a double layer of stuff and I don't need that complication. It's going to slow me down. So if you're not a type A personality, I'm thinking of a few people popped in my head as I was saying that. And you're preventing yourself from accepting that invitation to a party. You're preventing yourself from going out and meeting new partners or potential partners in your life. You're preventing yourself from looking for a new job. What's going on in your mind? Are you truly worried that you're not good enough or are you maybe just getting caught up in yourself? If you got over yourself, could you go out on that date? If you just got over yourself for a few minutes, could you go on that job interview? So yeah, I guess it's kind of an interesting way of putting things. For me though, it works every time because I recognize when I start to hold back, when I start to get nervous, when I start to ask, and particularly when I start to, you know, bombard myself with questions and fears, it's because I have made myself too important to figure in the equation. And I remind myself, you're not that important. You're not that important. What people think of you isn't that important. If your hair is, you know, nice or not is not that important. Reminds me the other morning, well, a few mornings ago, the weekend, Sunday morning in particular, not one but two parents, parents of my kids friends stopped by unexpectedly and I'm in my pajamas, my pink butterfly pajamas, the matching pair I bought with my 11 year old daughter Lexi. And my husband's robe. And my teeth are not brushed, my hair is not brushed, I have not even had a full cup of coffee. And I find myself standing outside in front of my house chit chatting and I chit chat so long with the first parent that the other parent this time even a man walks up and I just think, oh my God, I just look like a disaster. I just look like, you know, I've been up a week, I'm sure, and my breath is bad. Oh, and for a second I went into that whole, oh my gosh, here I am. No makeup, bad hair, bad breath, pink butterfly pajamas, standing in front of my house for two hours, chatting. And then I got over myself. What do I care? Is that what they're looking at? No. Why did that come up in me? I don't know. Is that interrupting my flow? Could have. It would have meant that I wouldn't have had a dinner date with one of those families coming up this week. It would have meant all kinds of things. I would have prevented myself because I would have ran, ran myself right back in the house. You see, in that case, it would have prevented me from having more opportunities in my life. Getting over myself was, hey, I want to stand here and talk to you. And apparently you don't mind. So you're not, you're not cringing, running away. So yes, this does relate to manifesting. You're like, how, how, how it relates to manifesting because when you have this kind of self consciousness, you are tightening the, or constricting the flow of opportunities, possibilities, stuff that your life can give you because your hyper awareness of you actually gets you in the way. So if there's anything I want you to take, I think from today's podcast, it's that the next time you find yourself holding back or replaying a scene in your mind or not fully committing to something, being shy, just say to yourself, you know what, I'm gonna get over myself and see what happens. Because I know at that point your flow is going to step in. Your beautiful promising path of ease is going to step in and remind you, hey, we put you in this position for a reason. We brought this encounter to you for a reason. We brought this opportunity for you, to you, for a reason. Thank you for getting over yourself. So you can jump right in and don't look backwards and don't regret how you might have sounded or anything like that. Because people can feel it. Other people can feel it. The most wonderful kind of person to be around is a person who doesn't have that sense of self consciousness. They're free. You want to be in that energy. We all know people like that. They just, they don't worry about how they look or how they sound. And sometimes they're obnoxious, it's true, but sometimes they're gentle and beautiful and filled with light. But the one thing we admire is, gosh, they're themselves. Their flow has unfettered access. They're not always yanking it back with that fear and that self consciousness. So muse on that while we go to break. When we get back, I would love to take some of your calls if you are listening live and the show does record live as a radio show every Tuesday at noon Pacific time. That's California Los Angeles time. And you can call me during that time at 877-230-3062. You might even want to jot that down into your phone or calendar. Oh, Summer's show. I want to call her live. I will look in your flow. I will look into your energy. I'll look into any other person's mind. It's all open. I work in energy. I work in manifesting. By the way, if you're looking for manifesting information, today's topic has been a little tangential to it. But typically this show does cover an aspect of manifesting every single time. Go to my website, flowdreaming.com, you will get up to your ear loads in, or an eyeball loads in information about how to flow dream, how to manifest, how to create. Okay, stay with me. We'll be right back after this break.
Hi, it's Summer, but on break. And I know that some of you are still wondering, what is flow Dreaming and what is MI School?
Because I refer to both of these.
Quite a bit in my podcast. Me School is a transformational program. It's a gorgeous and deeply revealing, empowering online school worldwide where I teach you how to remodel your life in any way you choose, using the technique of flow dreaming as well as a bunch of other deeply powerful life changing processes. So ME School is either enrolling or it's accepting names onto the wait list. And that means that I'm accepting students who work with me for the year. And you can learn how to do.
What I do in life.
The way I think, the way I build things, make things, heal things. Everything I talk about you will learn directly from me how to do. You're going to create some amazing things. My me schoolers, their lives change way beyond the norm.
And you don't even have to be.
A superstar when you go in. Some of you are, and you're ready to go bigger, play in that bigger field.
And some of you are just saying, hey, help. What's up next? Where should I go?
And both are fine. Both are great if you're ready to go big. But you know that you need to deepen your own spiritual practice and your personal growth because that's where it all comes from, right? Then this is where you need to be. Your life only grows as big as you do. So here's what to do. Go over to flowdreaming.com and click on MI School. And during these enrollment periods, you can actually set up a free phone call with me or my staff and we'll talk about it.
Is it a fit? Is it interesting?
During waitlist times, we just put you on a list of people who've expressed interest, so we can notify you as soon as the doors open.
All right.
I look forward to hearing from you and even more, to getting to know you as one of my personal students in me school. Now let's get back to the episode.
Welcome back to Flow Dreaming. I hope I gave you guys some things to chew on in that first section about how to get over yourself so as not to block your true potential, your manifesting potential, your ability to express and be yourself in the world. Those of us whose goal it is to remove our ceilings, to find, discover and demolish our blocks and restrictions, you know, the world is our oyster. What do you want to have or be or achieve or do? My goal is to teach all of you how to reach that, how to achieve that in any of the given ways you're wanting to do it. And you know, in me school, I work with people in all fields. Computer programmers, university professors, moms, business owners. Gosh, there's so many different things. Massage, masseuses, yoga teachers, trying to think. Gosh, there's so, so, so many teachers of all stripes, government workers, lawyers. All of you guys have chosen areas of your life to be a success in. Mothers, fathers, areas of your life to be a success in. And flow dreaming means not just identifying and knowing what it is that you want and then programming the emotional template to create it and achieve it, but also in getting past the things that hold you back from it. It's a multi step process. It's a mindset. It's the most exciting personal development journey I've ever been on. And yeah, so that's, that's where this, today's show came from. Okay, let's get on to some calls. And of course we're going to wrap today with a Flow dream. Scarlett, you're calling from San Jose. How are you?
Hi, Summer. I'm fine.
How are you? Wonderful. What's happening?
Well, a lot of exciting things. I've been doing a lot of deep emotional excavations since 2012 when I learned some family secrets of abuse from my father. And so, you know, I've been really brave to confront all of the emotions that have come up through all kinds of therapy and spiritual development and in relationships. And I've been lucky to have a couple of relationships to sort of reset my understanding of Love and. But the ones that have been very deep have been also hurtful in that they've made me kind of relive the trauma. And so I was just wondering if I'm in the clearing now, because I have, you know, been brave to confront the shadows and work through them. So am I in the clearing, or will I continue to have these kind of relationships to go deeper and deeper into these. These patterns?
Oh, there's so many things I could pick up on here. First of all, I did a show a few weeks ago on how to use flow for healing. You may want to listen to that one, especially because healing is a journey. You know, it's. It's something you don't do just once, and you clean everything up. And, you know, it's not like cleaning up broken glass on the floor. Healing continues as we grow. And the more we grow, the more we encounter places that we can heal and develop ourselves. So to your question of, do I need to go deeper and deeper into this? My experience is that as we heal, we reach a certain. I don't know if you call it bottom, but it's a certain place where we really understand what we're looking at finally, right, the revelation. And after you have the revelation, you know what you're looking at. Then it's more a question of, and where else did this affect me? And where else? Then it's more like a treasure hunt. How else did this restrict my relationships with men going forward in my life? How else did this cause me to mistrust authority? How else did this cause me to hang back from going forward for career and things like that? Where I wasn't sure I became uncomfortable with myself. Where else? So that's the treasure hunt that you get on. And flow will give you lots of opportunities to see where this pattern is expressing. And it doesn't have to be huge in each area. It can just be a little here, a sprinkle there. Your job at that point is to look into them and say, oh, I don't want it there. I don't want it to affect me there. I don't want it to affect me there or there or there. Are you following me?
Oh, yes.
Okay. So rather than bracing, that's another term I use a lot. Bracing means that you are preparing for difficulty, you're preparing for more. You're almost getting rigid and not in flow. You have to kind of let go and say, oh, I feel so grateful. I saw this abuse. I get now, this whole pattern in my life, and I'm really Starting to understand it's not just here in my relationship with family or with men, but I see it here and there. I'm seeing it in all these ways. It's affecting me. And then you feel gratitude. Thank you. Thank you. This means I'm ready. This means I'm ready now to deal with this. This means I've grown to the point. This means that I've reached a certain maturity level where this is being revealed to me. Thank you. I feel so blessed. I'm so glad to finally be here. Okay, now, you see, what we're doing here is we're changing your emotions at this point. Okay. Instead of shock and awe and fear and anger, we're moving it to. This is very interesting. And it may take me a while to piece together the why of it all. I may never piece together the why of it all, but I do know what I can use from this. I do know the good things that I can take from this. I do know that it now makes me uniquely available to other women who've experienced this. I do know that it has triggered certain tendencies in my personality that I'm going to put to very good use. You see? So you're starting to explore everything else it's done for you.
Almost as if it's a gift.
Yeah. I try not to say it just like that because it's hard to swallow. But you want to turn this into something that is your power. Right? In manifesting, we're always looking at who is holding the power. And if the person who abused you or hurt you is holding the power, you know that because you're still feeling victimized, you're still feeling hurt. You're still saying, why me? You're still angry that it, you know, turned your life on its head. Every time you feel anger, it's because that other person is still holding the power. When you finally release the anger, you're actually taking your power back and saying, weird, this whole thing was strange, but you don't hold the power. I've gotten through the anger.
I've gotten through the anger and I've even opened myself up to love. And then the love turns weird, so it's reveals more of the misaligned emotion. So I really am ready to hold it the way that you're suggesting that now I can see how it's connected to other aspects of my life and open up to it to become more clear to me. Yeah, that's affecting me.
Yeah. You don't have to work this out just through relationships, by the way, because Patterns like this go into every area. It's you. You develop a behavior and a response to pattern. That response pattern becomes the energy. You constantly give your flow every day and it goes everywhere. So you give yourself permission, look for it in other areas, try and tidy it up there. You know, come back, circle back around to the relationships in a few months or a few years if you'd like to. You can play with it in any. You can. I always say you can play with an energy pattern in any area of your life. And as you strengthen it, it will affect all the other areas. Okay. What I recommend for you, Scarlet, you need to focus on regaining your power. Owning it. That means letting go of the anger, because anger says that the other person is still owning it. Okay, what you said you've done, but get more powerful. What can I do with this? How can I use this? How can I enrich myself with this? How can I use this to make me be a fearless person? How can I use this to embolden myself to do other things in my life? Because that's kind of like the ultimate, you know, screw you to your abuser. You put it that way. You're saying I'm actually going to use this to do something amazing and majestic for myself and for my whole family. Not. Not that you have to use revenge as a way. I just find it does work for some people. All right, Scarlett, thank you for your call.
Thank you for taking it. Bye bye now.
Thank you.
Bless you.
Sure. You're so welcome. So kind of wanted to get into it more with her, but she kind of felt like she was half there with me and half just like, wanting to hold back a little bit. Interesting. You can always feel people's energies. One more call and then we'll go to a quick break. We'll see. Actually, we'll see how many calls we can get through today. We're going to Flow dream, by the way, in just a little while. And yes, the Flow dream, of course, will be about how to get over yourself. What I want you to experience is the absolute, utter freeing sensation of getting over yourself. What it's like to just be able to do anything you want without self consciousness, without self doubt, without fearing that you look back and see how silly or wrong or stupid you were for it. Getting over yourself just says, this is it, folks. It's who I am. It's what I want. Like me or don't like me, it's all right with me. I have stuff to get done. Okay, let's see. Dallas. Dallas, this Information, it's hard to decipher. Dallas. Are you calling from Dallas? Is your name Dallas? Is that a made up name? Dallas? Names? Dallas?
Dallas? Yes.
Hi, Dallas.
How are you? Oh, fine. Listen, I. My husband apologized for doing. Doing me wrong. And he said it was over.
Mm.
That the girl keeps calling. And he said he's gonna block the phone because he wants to stay with me and not her. And he made a mistake. He's telling the truth.
What's your husband's name? First name?
Gilbert.
How old is he?
56.
56. You know what? When I look at Gilbert, look at his flow, look at his feelings, his energy, he feels like every now and then, it's like he falls off a chair. But that's what he says, like falling off a chair. It just kind of happens. It's not something he means to do. It's like things were there. It was tempting. I can see that he has an intention not to follow up. I don't think he actually likes this woman very much. No.
Because she's him right now.
Yeah. Yeah. His feelings toward her just. He doesn't like her. Doesn't know what he was thinking.
Yeah.
But, you know, the deeper conversation that I would have with him is, you know, honey, if you want to get something going that's interesting in your life, that's got some spice, some beauty, let's. Let's see what we can do together.
Yeah. That's what I thought.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's what he wants.
He does. It's like he just. It's almost like he reaches a place of bored thoughtlessness and it's, you know, the easiest thing in sight. And if. If you guys. If you're fulfilling him when he gets to that point of bored thoughtlessness, not that it's your job to, but, you know, if you've created that kind of relationship, he will look back at you and say, let's do something kind of. I don't want to say kinky, but crazy or fun or different. Yeah. That's what he's looking for. And it's just part of his personality, I'm so sorry to say.
Say that again.
I said it's kind of part of his personality. He just needs an occasional injection to make him feel alive.
Yeah. Yeah.
And.
Yeah. Yeah.
He told me how much he loved me. And he. He said that, you know, that he was sorry that this lady won't leave us alone. And he said he's gonna go block the phone.
Mm. The good idea. Well, he ought to do it if he hasn't already. If he doesn't have it blocked within a day or two, you know, then you can have a different kind of discussion with him, which is, hey, what's going on? But as I look at him, it doesn't feel like an emotional, you know, love affair. Doesn't. Doesn't. I don't have that characteristic at all. It's just he feels like he just, I hate to say it, did one of those dumb things. All right, Dallas, thank you.
Thank you so much, though. Our marriage will be okay. Thank you.
If you want it to be. It's all cards are all in your hand right now.
Oh, believe me, I am going to make it like it should be.
All right, Dallas, you take care. Thanks for the call.
Okay, thank you.
Bye. Yeah, you know, whenever I look in people and they're having. Well, let's just say they're getting their needs met in different ways, because after you've looked at as many people as I look in, that's what it comes down to. How is this person getting their needs met? What is it that is lacking or empty? Where did they go to get those needs filled? Sometimes it's women, sometimes it's booze, sometimes it's shopping. Sometimes it's by creating some dramatic incident in their family. What's going on? That's what I was seeing here with Dallas. You know, he was just looking to get his needs met, but it wasn't long term. Okay, so let's go to a quick break. When we get back, we'll do a flow dream. We'll see if we can't get to one more call as well. So stay with me for more flow dreaming right after this.

Welcome back to Flow Dreaming. Hey, we're going to do a flow shortly, but let's sneak in one more quick call before we do. Jessica from Tennessee. I love how you guys are calling from all over the country today. What's up, Jessica?
Hey, Summer, how are you?
I'm great.
Good, good. I'm in me school with you. I have a question about potential career change.
Okay.
And if I have time, I want to share a quick praise report 30 seconds before I go into it.
Oh, sure, of course.
Okay. Well, I recently booked a trip to the east coast and almost didn't do it because of, you know, feelings of lack. Do I have enough money to book it?
Yeah.
And made the plunge. And literally a couple hours after I booked the trip, a guy that I met in that same area about three years ago, who I hadn't talked to you since, sent me a random email. And we're supposed to have coffee when I get there. So I thought that was great and just a good example on how things can open up when you kind of, you know, you. You get rid of the lack cycle or go in the other direction.
Oh, I love, love, love it.
Yeah. So want to hear that. But my question for career advice. I'm currently an attorney and I have been thinking about making a career change or a supplement to doing some work in real estate on the sales side, but a little bit scared, you know, will it affect my career? And, you know, if I give up the accounting part altogether for, will I be able to go back into it? The same sort of questions that you talked about earlier in this podcast I'm just trying to figure out, you know, is it should I get over myself or should I not make the jump right now?
Okay, so let me ask you, what is the feeling that makes you want to jump into the real estate deals? You said real estate, right?
That's correct.
Yeah. So what's the feeling? What is it generating you when you think about it? Is it just for the money, or is it that it's like, more creative or a stretch?
Or what is it more excitement, a chance to use more of my creativity to actually be closer to my clients? Right now I work in a bigger firm, so I'm not seeing that in my law practice. It's just a lot of paperwork. So the feeling of being able to be really in there and those. Those deals and to help people find housing, just, I guess, a little bit more variety and hands on.
Mm, variety. Hands on, yes. It's sort of like where you are right now. Everything is a little bit colorless. You described it as paperwork. I sense it as a lack of color. There's a certain number of monotony. It's like the same papers, the same contracts, the same kind of stuff flowing through, you know, not being able to see and touch what all that means in people's lives. Whereas with real estate, a house or a property, a business is acting like a tangible go between. Between you and another party, another group. It's like something solid. You could say, this is what I made. This is what we did together. This is what we created. If you were to shift into real estate, one of the things that I could see you doing is developing. I don't see you as just a realtor knocking on people's doors and, you know, delivering your cards. Not. Not that there's anything against that. Everybody, but the kind of realtor you would be is structuring deals between people and perhaps retail places, sort of playing, you know, both the front end and the back end. I don't see your lawyerly abilities leaving. I see you integrating them into whatever deals you're structuring and structuring ever more interesting deals as you moved forward. That would become your challenge. What is the shopping mall? How can I sell it? How would I do that? You know, things like that. It's like you see a progression of where you could go. Whereas in your business, your firm, I feel like the progression has somehow stopped. It's more like a repetition. Is that what you see, too?
That's correct. Yeah, that's what I see too. And it's really funny because the Retail is really. I thought about it at one point, so it's great. That came up. I just haven't had a chance to touch that. And where I am right now, though.
Yeah, that's where you could go. Let's just say that's where you could go if you wanted to. There's a lot of different flows you could hop into, and none of them feel like there's a ceiling on them. Meaning that you could structure ever more interesting, productive, expensive deals. You know, you might even end up in development if you're not careful. But you would like that. You would like. Okay, because you're now touching the people that, the things that you're structuring between each other, it's like your bridge to them. Like, you know, what you've actually made now instead of just enforcing laws or, you know, doing the kind of work you're doing now where you feel like you don't insert yourself. So I say go for it. I don't see any reason not to. I see a lot of fun exploration there. I don't think it's going to ruin your lawyer career either, which was a question that you had as well.
Okay.
All right, Jessica, thank you for your call and I'll talk to you tomorrow in MI school. Bye.
Sounds good.
Bye.
Bye. Bye. Yes, she's referring to the MI School of flo, one of my students. MI School is a year long program where we launch deeply into what we're made of, what we can do, how we can use universal energy, how we open up our intuitive, intuitive selves. It is delicious. It's the best gift you could give to yourself in a lifetime. At least I'm striving to make it be that way for every student who is in it. So let's go now into the flow. Speaking of, we have a couple minutes. We're going to go into the flow and you're going to feel how amazing it is to get over yourself. And believe me, it's not the same thing as just letting go of your ego. It is a conscious way of saying to yourself in every moment, hey, get over yourself. Hey, nobody cares. Hey, if you want it, go for it. Doesn't matter what other people think. Doesn't matter, doesn't matter, doesn't matter. It's just a free. It's like a refreshing sip of lemonade. I say this to myself all the time. So let's get into the energies together and put some of this characteristic, this sensation, this knowledge into the energy template that we are. Here we go. Eyes closed. Relaxing, not meditating. No, no, no, no, no. Hypnosis. We are very focused. We feel emotionally tuned in. We feel tapped in your flow. Oh, you are going to the sink in your kitchen right now. In your mind, you see your sink. Maybe it's even a nicer sink than the one in your kitchen. Maybe this sink is just gleaming and polished, as clean as it's ever been in life. Not. Not a sink you ever cleaned? Nope. Look at that faucet. Ooh, it sparkles. Look at those. Look at those handles. It's like. It's like turning a couple of diamond chunks. You grab one and you turn on that flow and the flow gushes out. It gushes out. It's a river of light, of bubbles. It fills. There's no home around you. It fills the spirit space. It fills the world. It fills you with light. You just relax in those bubbles. You love those bubbles. You. You enjoy this flow of light and energy. You've turned the tap on. You just, just. It's like being in a pool, floating. You just sit there and you've got your tropical juice in your hand and you. You've got your little hat on. Just feels so good floating in your flow. Floating in your. Your flow. And you realize, hey, the world might be looking at me right now. Oh my goodness. Is this a time when I would normally feel self conscious floating in a pool? Oh my goodness. I might. But you know what? I don't. Look around. Look again. Look at the world around you. Do you see everybody? They're actually not paying attention to you. They're all looking at themselves, aren't they? They're all floating in their own flows. They're all floating and flying along their own rivers of energy and light. And they're all worrying about themselves. They're not even looking up to see you. And you realize two things in that moment. One is a sadness. Look up and around everyone. Are you also self conscious? Are you also worried about how we're all looking at you and thinking, and yet no one's looking at you because we're all looking at ourselves. And the other feeling is, huh. I guess I can do whatever I want. I guess I can be whatever I want. I guess I can go for whatever I want. I guess I can challenge whatever I want. I'm very curious what's going to happen when I do it.
What a freeing feeling.
What an empowering feeling. What a glorious feeling. You love this feeling. And you realize now you're no longer in your flow, but you're standing and you're dressed and you're warm and you're cozy and you've got that thing in front of you that you were ready to tackle all along before any thoughts or doubts ever got in your way. And your whole heart reaches in and holds it and you say, yes, I'm out of my way now. Let's get this job done. And that is flow. And you open your eyes. That was the quickest flow I've done in a long time, by the way, but hopefully you got the gist of it. The emotion, the feeling, the programming, and the speaking with universal energy all wrapped together. Okay, until next week, my love goes to you all. I will see you all then for another episode of things you can do in the Flow with Flow Dreaming.
