Flow Dreaming.
It's a show where we talk about the power of your mind to change your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. We talk about this feeling of hope.
And joy and relief, and that is.
What being aware of your flow does. It gives you a feeling of power again in your lives.
Oh, my God. You were so on target. You are so amazing.
I can't thank you enough.
Breath.
It is the feeling that you bring forward. It is your emotional connection that really sets the tone for what is going to be happening to you and for you. And you know that feeling when you touch it, it just spreads through you.
Thank you for taking my call. I don't know why I feel like crying.
I think I just feel your love.
Of course.
And I think I'm gonna get some ANSWERS.

And here we are. Welcome to another episode of Flow Dreaming. I am your host for the hour.
Summer McStravic, and yes, I do appreciate.
You putting up a little note on itunes, you know, reviewing it, starring it. You can also subscribe to it. That's a great way to make sure that the podcast is always on hand. It doesn't mean you have to listen to each one, but if you subscribe to it, whenever you're going and looking through the podcast on your phone or your pad, your device, all the latest ones will be there, so you don't have to worry about downloading them. Sometimes you'll say, where did they go? They will stop downloading if you haven't listened to them in a while. So you have to press reload. You have to basically get them to update you with the latest ones, just FYI today's program. Well, typically in Flow Dreaming, we explore how we use our minds, our consciousness and flow and our ability to create and shape our future, to recreate and reshape our own inner selves, our own inner emotional, energetic landscapes. What you are inside is what you manifest. Outside law of attraction will never, never, ever, ever, ever work any differently. What you are inside is what you create, attract, manifestation, expect on the outside. So if you're looking at your material life and saying, huh, this isn't quite what I wanted, instead of trying to reel things into you, right, Imagine that you're a little. You're standing in a. In a little tiny fisher boat, right? Little tiny fishing vessel, tiny one, like. Like one with two paddles. And you're standing up and you're trying to reel in a whale. They're going to capsize, right? There's no way. The whale's too big. This is what a lot of people do when they embark on manifesting and creating. The first time they say, I want a whale. I want a million dollars. I want the most fabulous relationship of my life. I want everything healed. And they're standing in this little tiny boat of themselves. They capsize. They will not be able to pull in that which they're trying to create because they themselves are not strong enough, sturdy enough. In flow dreaming, we build you up inside so that you become an ocean liner. You could pull in 5,000 whales. Not that I endorse whaling at any cost, but. Or by any. For any reason. This is all a metaphor. Just disqualifying that. But that's the point. The stronger you are, the bigger you are, the more solid you are. The more you've changed yourself, the more you can pull in anything because it matches you now. It's aligned to you. Flow dreaming is a way to talk to the universe and communicate with it in this deep and rich and very, very direct way, right? It bypasses just about everything that could get in the way between you and your feelings and your needs being heard, felt, and reacted to. But what are those needs? What is it reacting to? That's you. And that leads us to the topic of today's program. It is not how to flow dream. If you're looking for that, go to my website, flowdreaming.com and if you type in your email, you'll get a little free gift bundle from me. A little free gift bag. It's an audio that teaches you how to flow dream as well as a practice one to start with, right? So that'll take care of that. How you actually do the technique. Now, why do we do this technique? What does it do for us? How does it change our lives? That is today's program, or one way that it changed. You probably saw that it's titled getting the exact opposite of what you're Trying to create. Then this is your episode. I thought it was time to address this.
It's been a while because I get.
A lot of emails. Like this summer I just started flow dreaming. It's so amazing. I love it. However, it's been three weeks and the most horrible things have happened to me. I feel like it's bringing up all these terrible bad things to me instead of good stuff. Help. What am I doing wrong? Right? Or some variation of that. Right? I started flow dreaming for a better relationship and we broke up. I'm laughing, but I realize how serious this is and how serious it can feel. You wonder what is. What am I doing wrong? Is it me, is it the universe, Was this supposed to happen, etc. Etc. That's what we look at today. We're going to dive in as usual. I'll take your calls. I'll help you figure out. What are you creating? What are you manifesting? Do you know you're manifesting that? Do you know you're creating that? Do you need me to look into the situation? Into your life, into your future, into your past, into the mind of someone that you know? You can do all of these things using flow energy. It is the ultimate source that every intuitive taps into, every medium, moves through, every manifestor uses. So just depending on what your question is, you never know exactly what combination you're going to get. But that's how I like it. Nice and customized. Anyway, you can find my call in number by going to my website, flowdreaming.com. click on Audio Video and you'll find the complete information when the show airs live and the number to call. So why are you sometimes starting to do stuff? Create stuff, intend stuff, attract stuff, make stuff. And everything seems to just completely go to hell. Let's look at this. Let's back up. Chances are you're a farmer like the rest of us. We're going to go use a metaphor again. This is one I used with one of my MI school classes not too long ago. It really helped them understand it. So I'm going to use a variation on it. Different. Different teaching, but similar. You're a farmer and you're planting your seeds. But you know, you notice that the ground looks really rocky. In fact, it's full of rocks. And you're starting to wonder. I wonder if this is why the stuff I'm asking for really doesn't seem to come up. Or it comes up and it's all stunted and weird, doesn't look healthy. The relationships, the job starts out well. Goes bad. Maybe it's the fact that my field, my fertile field, myself, my life is full of rocks. Well, if I start really saying, all right, universe, I am going to change this. Like I'm really going to change this. I'm not going to half acidly change this. Excuse my language. I know there's some kids that listen occasionally, sorry, guys, but I'm going to change this for real this time. This is it. This is it. I'm embarking on a change in myself that might take two weeks, it might take two months, it might take two years, it might take 20 years. I don't know. I don't even care. All I know is it's going to change. And I'm completely, 100% committed to this. This means you as the farmer, are now digging up these rocks. Because you realize I can't keep throwing the seeds on top of all this old stuff. Old ways of thinking, lack thinking, family drama, bad thoughts about myself, lack of self, love, low self worth, never really reaching what I think I should be reaching. Always feeling like I'm just hitting under what I could be doing. All this stuff right that keeps us on the side of being unhappy, unfulfilled, not achieving our destiny, our greatness, our passion. You start removing the rocks. You see, you have all these rocks because you were scared to remove them before. You just kind of let them keep piling up. What happens when you keep letting rocks pile up in your life? Pretty soon it's like a rocky beach shore. We get that around here a lot. In California in the wintertime, the rocks wash up and they can be a foot deep of nothing but rocks. There's no sand, there's nothing for any seeds to grow. And it's just rocks, rocks, rocks, rocks, rocks. So when you reverse your thinking, when you start to build and recreate this person inside so that your new external world will start to match who you are, you're really picking up a lot of situations that had scared you before still scare you. You have this feeling if I touch that, it's going to bite me. If I go there, things are going to break, fall apart. I won't have the money, I won't have the house. I can't leave. How often do I hear that I can't leave, can't leave my job, can't leave my relationship, can't leave my family problem, can't leave, can't leave. I'm stuck, I'm in it. Everyone else is making this a horrible situation, I have to say. And now here you are saying, no, I'm gonna pick up this rock. What do you think Your life starts to look like? Things are shifting. You're getting rid of stuff. You're picking up the rocks that were underneath you, and you're now pulling them up and holding them in front of you, starting to see why. Sometimes a few weeks, a few months in, you feel like, oh, my God, everything just went to pieces. This is natural, it's normal, it's necessary. And the longer it takes you to do this, the more crummy stuff you're going to end up picking up at some point in your life. And if you don't do it at some point in your life. You know those grumpy old people we always make fun of in the movies? Those cranky ones, always negative? That's going to be you people who've never picked up, cleaned up, gotten strong and said, no, that doesn't make me happy. Right? You get rid of the stuff that doesn't make you happy. If you keep it, you end up very, very unhappy. Right? You die young. Horrible things, bad states of mind, depression. You're like, geez, Summer, this is not a very positive show. Don't worry, it will be. It will be. I'm trying to impress on you the necessity of moving through this process at some point, even in the most small and tiny way. Now, it doesn't happen for everyone that you end up, you know, having everything fall to pieces the minute you start trying to manifest really doesn't. I'd say it only happens maybe one in ten times if that. It tends to happen most to those people who've let unhappy situations go on for a very, very long time, entrenched, and they themselves are struggling to come into a better frame of mind as well, right? So when something bad happens, instead of going, I'm going to handle this, let's move on, they hold onto it like, oh, my God, more bad things happening to me. And then they then escalate it. Right? It's not common, but it does occur normally. What happens when you start manifesting is that, yes, things will start to shift and you'll notice, oh, something that I was pursuing sort of just dropped off and sort of withered away and just stopped. It's not that big of a deal. It just wasn't right for you. Your flow is starting to course correct you, right? It's shutting down certain paths and avenues for you because you asked it to. You said, I want a life that is flowing and easy and balanced and rich and full of freedom and Sense of self worth, where I'm cultivating my truest and best talents, where I'm becoming a role model, where I'm becoming loving to everyone around me. This is like flow thinking. This is that place of being in beautiful, gorgeous alignment with yourself, with everything in your life. So obviously there are things you probably have right now that aren't in total alignment with that. What do you want flow to do with those things? Do you want. You want to ask Flo to just haul them along behind you? Like, we'll save it for later and we'll just haul some heavy stacks of things that don't really help us, but we're afraid to let go of them. No, you don't want that. Your flow's not going to do that. Flo's going to say, you don't need that. We've got something better. If you want to hold on to that and bring that yucky stuff into where we're going, you're going to. You're going to soon discover even more contrast because it doesn't belong there. And it's going to become even more clear to you. You can say, no, no, I don't want to let go of that. That's my. I. That's just how it has to happen. This is where I have to live. This is who I have to be with. This is how I was gonna say. Okay, okay, okay. All right, all right. She says. So she's still creating that we'll haul it along, even though it's going to become very apparent that it fits less and less once she or he sees where we're really going and what we really have in store. At some point, she's going to want to get rid of this. She's going to say, please, why is still with me, right? And then we're gonna be on the other end of the scales. Why is still in my life. I thought I got rid of it, and it's still here. You guys hearing yourself on this, right? This is all we all say to stuff, to each, you know, to ourselves. You know, I thought I got over this. I thought I didn't. And here it is again. That's one end. The other end is, no, I don't want to let go of that. I can't let go of that. I have to keep that. No, no, no, no, no. So what happens for most of us to get back to that is that we are shifting. When we start to deeply commit to something, the shift is correct. It's good. It's necessary. Here's the way I approach it. I go in and say, all right, I have an objective. Something that I've just come to a realization about in myself. Like, you know what? It's time for me to finally heal. There's this. Let's just use something that I've been doing lately. There's this thought that I have about myself, and it has to do with lack thinking. I feel like it's very hard for me to have, you know, a good network and the people around me that I love and trust. And this is a very old pattern. And I know it doesn't fit me anymore because I keep proving over and over again that it's not true. Really want to get rid of it. It's time. I'm moving into something else in my life. I have to get rid of this if I want to go bigger, right? This is stopping me. It's like the lowest thing inside of me, energetically, it will hold me, a part of me, to that level. I can't go higher. It's like holding the end of a balloon, you know, with a lead weight. The balloon wants to go higher. The lead weight, it may be unrelated to the balloon, but it's still in me. It's still in you. It's in your life. You've got to take care of that. Okay? So I gotta take care of that. Take care of that. What does Flo do? Flo says, good. Here are some things you need to get rid of. Here are some people you need to get rid of that you were holding onto because they were proof to you for a while of what you were thinking and feeling. Now that you're absolutely refusing to believe that anymore. And to go into that lack thinking anymore, we have to get rid of them. Do you get it? Like A plus B equals C. Pretty easy, right? It's pretty straightforward. So it can feel like, oh, my gosh, I started saying this and I lost all these things and all this stuff let go. That's fine. I asked for that. I asked for that. Where the fear comes in is, what am I getting next? What if I get the same thing? What if it doesn't get any better? It always does this, and then I just get the same thing again, right? Am I. Am I growing when I'm feeling that way? Or am I just reverting back to my past thinking I'm reverting back. I'm going right back into that old pattern of thinking. And yet I'll do. I'll bring in the exact same lax situations and scenarios that I had before. So I stop myself again and go, no, no, it's not what I'm going to do. I'm really going to heal this. Bring me instead things that will heal me. That's what I want. Now Flo is listening and saying Summer is aligning the situations in her life right now where she has a beautiful, flourishing network of partners. Partners of all kinds. Husband, children, family, employees, clients, friends. She's got tons of great partners. She knows this about herself. She's capable of having this. Let's give this to her. Okay. Now I'm being given new things, new opportunities, meeting new people, developing an ability to deepen my relationships with certain other people. Now I'm really moving. But do you see how even I had to go through a sort of releasing there to get to that next point? Never be scared of the releasing. Never be frightened of it. It's always your flow telling you, not that path, not that door. That's not your best one. That's not what you really want and need. It's okay. Let go of it. It can be hard when you feel like the thing you're releasing is. Is something that you've put a lot of yourself into. Your hope, your fear. You worked for it. You knew this was the right thing. You knew you should pass that graduate exam. You knew you should move in with a certain person. You knew that this was your dream job. You knew that this is where you absolutely wanted to settle in and live the rest of your life. And then, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop. Flo says, no, no, no, no, no. Wouldn't you rather be wrong and end up in a better place than be right and stay miserable? Because you were right. You wouldn't allow flow to take you anyplace else. Man, I would be wrong any day. I would suffer that momentary confusion, frustration, pain, so that I know I'm still going into that better place, then say, nope, this is it. And then have to encounter the resistance, the frustration, the less than perfect that my flow knew was going to be there and tried to remove me out of. Now, here's one other thing before we jump to a break. If you are starting to go deep into flow dreaming and you're manifesting and you're creating and the exact opposite of what you want is showing up, right? Instead of having lots of friendly dates and meeting wonderful people like nobody is interested with you and the three guys who were dating, you stopped texting you suddenly, and it's like crickets. You're like, what happened? Jeez, it's not what I wanted. I want you to think about something. Sometimes we say to ourselves, I'm totally going to get this. I'm going to have this. I'm going to be this. I'm going to do this. I'm going to make these changes. It's all going to be great. I'm getting into alignment. I'm feeling really positive. I have lots of money. I'm well loved and liked and opportunities. My health is great, whatever it is. But secretly. Secretly, there's a part of you that says, I've done this before. It never works. Never works. I always get excited about these things and they never work out. I don't know why I keep doing this. Never works. Is there a part of you that does that? A part of you that fundamentally says, I'll try it again, but you're gonna have to prove it to me because I really don't trust this. I want it. I want to believe, but I kind of don't because I've never had any other experience to prove to me it actually works. I see it working for other people all the time. Right? Raise your hand. Does it work for other people? Do they manifest and create things and get them? No. But not you. Maybe it doesn't work for you, huh? Maybe you just can't do it. Maybe you don't deserve it. Maybe you're not good enough for it. Judgy, judgy, judgy. Did you hear that? Even the tone of my voice shifted. That's our internal self, our deep pattern. This is what we manifest. This is what we create. That's deeper than everything. You know why? Because it's your emotional self. Set point. Your emotional baseline says, I don't get it. It's really hard for me to get it. If I do get it, I have to sacrifice or give up something. Ah. Flo says, okay, look at that. She wants it, but she also has all these other things that she feels about it that are even more strong inside her. So, sure, we'll give it to her, but we're going to give it to her as painfully as possible. Or him. Right? Yeah. Well, we'll make sure that, you know, he gets a new apartment, but it's gonna be totally painful. He's gonna lose a bunch of money in the process and he's gonna have a fight with his girlfriend in order to move out and get his new place. Yeah, we'll get it to him. We'll just make sure it's painful because he won't trust it. Otherwise. It'll be too far out of his realm of experience. And he's used to experiencing things he's already become comfortable with. That's what he really, deeply, deeply, you know, deep down expects. So if you're in the midst of change and this deep part of you is saying to yourself, yeah, but it always means I end up without money. Yeah, but it always means that, you know, my health is going to get worse. Yeah, it always means that bingo, flow's going to give that to you. It's like the upward, downward climb. It's like, yeah, you'll get your next place, you'll get your next thing. But you've already pre decided how much sacrifice or what bad things have to happen in order for you to get it. If you don't think this is true, look back in your life, look at current situations. You probably find a few that totally fit this model because it's very, very common. You're definitely not alone. It's everywhere. We all get this in our heads. Flow dreaming, fortunately, will get this out of your head, right? We don't have to go through these routines in our thinking anymore. We re pattern from the inside. We emotionally re pattern ourselves. I was thinking, you know, when you start to flow dream, it's like an emotional fitness program. I've been thinking a lot about this because I'm in this pretty intense physical fitness program right now. You know, I'm exercising five, six hours a week, which from zero for me previously is kind of a lot. Big, big, big change, I'm thinking. It's funny, everybody says we have our physical fitness program and everybody knows your body needs exercise, it needs fitness. We have our mental fitness programs. What's that? Usually it's going to work, having to deal with stuff, interact. You're all day long, you're keeping your mind sharp because you're reading and you're adding up things and you're scheduling things, you're organizing things. Right? There's a lot of mental fitness that goes on day by day. Have you ever considered, do I have an emotional fitness program? I bet you haven't. I bet you don't. Flow dreaming emotional fitness Topic of an assumed to be podcast. All right, quick break. When we get back, we'll check and see callers. Yes, there you. There you are. Oh, two gals. Great. Great. I see room for one or two more, so go ahead and give a call. We'll be doing a flow dream a little later on so that you don't get the opposite of what you want. We'll Be doing a little clearing flow dream later on in the program. So stay with me. We'll be back after this.
Hey, it's summer again and yes, we're.
On break, but I wanted to share.

I look forward to hearing from you and even more to getting to know you as one of my personal students in ME school. Now, let's get back to the episode.
And here we are. We're coming back. Back to the show today. Let's. Yep. Okay. All the lines are full. Full, full. I think. Kathy, you've been waiting the longest. Hey, Kathy. Welcome. You're on air. Hi. Hi. Hello.
This is Kathy with ME School. Your MI School.
Oh, hey, how are you? A ME schooler on the line. What's up? What can I help?
Well, I'm wondering if you can go into the mind of someone that I. My someone that I know.
Okay, you got to give me a little information.
Okay. Well, she's the perfect show. It's exactly what she's going through. Trauma in her past and she's sort of freeloading right now, but she keeps going back to the trauma, that it's. And then she gets anxiety and she just knows that it's going to come up again. And she just knows that it's going to happen again.
Right.
And either advice to me on how I can help her more with.
Can you give me her first name?
Pardon me?
First name.
Oh, Lynn.
Lynn. Okay. All right, let me go see her and then we'll have a little three way conversation here. Lynn. Lynn. Lynn. Lynn with the trauma. Lynn with the. So she's escaping something right now. Correct. She's kind of. I don't want to say running. She feels to me like she's hiding. She is. She's hiding.
She's closed herself off some.
Yep.
Everyone except for my son.
Mm. Hiding, hiding, hiding. What are you hiding from? It's almost like she's got herself caught in an endless loop in her mind. Everything just keeps going back around and around. She doesn't see other ways, other options. She hasn't felt them. She feels like it always comes back around to the same thing, the same person, the same issue. Like she's orbiting. She's like a planet orbiting the sun. The sun is the problem. Not your sun necessarily. The sun. Sun, sun. Though it could mean both, for goodness sakes. It's an interesting image. Yeah. Okay, so what I want to tell her right now is you can step out of this at any point, Right? This is a revelation. It's something she won't hear easily. So I'm just going to tell it to her inside of herself and her flow and her mind. Lynn, you can step out of this anytime. The cycle won't break without you breaking it. You have to stop thinking it's going to take care of itself outside you. That it will stop. It is just what it is. It just keeps going. It is what it is. You are the one who stops. You're the one who stops. It's the only person. You have power over yourself. You stop your involvement. You stop your thinking about it. You stop your engagement with it. You stop your mental anguish over things. And you stop it. You're the one who can do this. Stop waiting for other things to get fixed. Stop. You'll wait for a very long time. And that's why it will appear to be the same to you all the.
Time, over and over.
Okay, so that's a little general talking too. I did with her without complete details of the situation. It's obviously highly emotional. I think it has to do with some men. It has to do with feeling emotionally hurt or harmed. So, yeah, unless you want to reveal any more?
Well, yeah, I can. I mean, what you just did is big. Because it gave me an example of how they're now sort of pretending like. Like I'm, like, talking to yourself as. You're your mom.
Yeah. Yeah. You're the one. You're the one. I think that's the biggest thing. She. She thinks that when things outside her change, it'll all be better, and yet she says they don't change, so it will never be better. She. She doesn't understand personal power yet. She. She thinks that the stuff outside her half has to get fixed. And what I just told her, and you should know too, is the stuff outside her is just responding to what's inside of her. The stuff outside her is responding to what her participation is. She herself will change, must change. Stop waiting on other people, fearing other people, thinking she's given all of her power over to these things. And by doing that, she's participating. Okay. Okay. All right.
Okay.
Does that help?
Yes, it did. Very much.
All right, Kathy, thank you. I'll see you this week in class. Bye. That was interesting because I was picking up a lot of distress from this girl who felt a lot like Kathy to me. It's interesting. They felt very similar to each other. Yeah, it was very murky in there, but the power thing was big. Big, big. Jessica, Tennessee, how are you doing? Jessica, you there? Hi. Yes, I can.
Hi. I'm in mi school also, and.
Hi, all my. I just call it the ME School hour. People are gonna think you don't ever get to talk to me. No, really, we have classes all month long. What's up?
No, I'm actually. Well, the reason I've called the show this time is because I'm actually calling in follow up to something that I asked you on air last fall. I am practicing real estate law and at the time had been looking for something a little bit more dynamic. And one of the statements that you made to me at the end, you said, well, you might get into development if you're not careful. But you said, but I think you'd like that. And it's funny. So you were right. I have gotten. I guess I'm in talks with someone who's in affordable housing development, and it sounds like a really interesting field and something I'm. Yeah, yeah. Which is really the only other consideration I made. So you were. You were spot on with that. And so I just, you know, I just am. I keep going back to your statement. You might get into development if you're not Careful. And so it's something I do want to.
Are you worrying about the if you're not careful part?
Yeah, a little bit.
That was not a warning. All right.
Okay.
That's more like when I'm looking and I see areas of opportunity opening for somebody. Right. It's just paths that you could take. And if I feel that someone really wants one thing, they're set on it. You know, it's like, well, you know, you got to really stay with that because if you're not careful, this other path is equally open to you and would be equally good for you. That's all I mean by it.
Got it.
Yeah. So don't fret. You know, you were just getting a little heads up on, hey, you've got this choice or that choice, so, you know, you know what to do. You want to sort of ping, ping, ping yourself. How do I feel about this? Does it feel exciting to me? Do I feel like I could make a difference? Do I feel like there are areas that could be frustrating, but maybe I would learn how to navigate through them? Do I feel I have, you know, I'd have the opportunity for control and growth and, you know, feel your emotional response to the opportunity. What do you think it would give you?
Yeah, it's. It's all those things. Again, it's something I immediately jump to the different paths that I can take, you know, not only with, you know, this job, if it's available, but just long term. I just. I see a whole lot of possibilities, not necessarily pinpointing the exact path, but I just see a whole lot opening up and a lot more engagement, which is some of the things we talked about earlier. And there's some things that do scare me. Yeah, they do. But from learning from you, I know that these are things that, you know, I just need to get out of the lack cycle and just think about possibilities instead of, you know, the what if.
Absolutely.
I'm excited.
So here's something else to think about. Just as I'm kind of feeling your situation, you're going to be learning a lot about how things work in, I'm going to say, the bigger world. Right. I feel like you're going to have a lot of eye opening. This is what they do. This is how long it takes. This is what you have to do. It's like some very big structure, structural lessons in how to push things through, how to navigate. These are skills you'll be getting if you choose this route. I don't know that you'll always stay in it. In Fact, I don't think you will. It's going to be a shorter term thing for you, but it's going to give you some necessary foundational understanding of how things work. It's kind of like I'm remembering when I first went to work in a corporate job. I was pretty shocked, like, wow, this is how it works. And if you do this, you're going to upset that person and there's all these internal politics and I've never worked with a company this big to know and, oh, this is the real role of the HR person and this is the real role of the sales director. It's like, I didn't know any of that. It was very eye opening, like, whoa. Oh, that's the feeling I get you'll be having. I recognize that sense, like, oh. And when you step out of it again, there's this maturity, this ability to know how things run that's going to be necessary for your next step. You're going to call on these skills again. Okay.
Okay. Got it. That is 100% better. You're on track how I'm feeling about it. Yeah. Thank you.
All right, Jessica, you take care. Thanks for calling. Talk to you this week. Bye. Oh, I think we have time for someone else, too. Gosh, how do I say it? Is it quantal?
Yes, Quantel.
Quantel. Hey, how are you? Hey.
Doing good.
How about you? Great. What can I help you with?
Yeah, I guess I've actually been a listener for about a year now. Recently moved from Tennessee to Oceanside, California.
Oh, great. Are you in the military?
No, no, I'm not. My. My wife actually got a position in the healthcare industry out here and I'm actually. I actually run my own graphic design studio and I work from home. Got a home office, so I, you know, I work from home, but I guess I was trying to, you know, maybe get a reading and maybe see, you know, find myself, you know, wanting to get into other, you know, opportunities and. And, you know, I find myself, you know, at times getting into the lack cycle and, you know, feeling like things won't come through for me. And so, you know what?
You. You have a feeling about you. Like you're always knocking on the door and no one ever answers. Other people have this other stuff going on. It's very exciting. But nobody will let you in. What is that?
I have no clue. I think I'm. I don't know if I'm pushing the situation or just allowing it to come in time. I don't know.
All right, well, tell me what you're interested. Where do you. So how do you want to change your career? Where do you want to move next?
Well, I think I feel like I want to expand. I feel like I'm at the point where I think I'm wanting. As far as my design business, I'm wanting it to grow to where I'm not in my business. I'm running my business, and I can know, sort of target my energy towards other things. Like I said, I love. I actually love comic books and art and things like that. So I'm wanting to figure out a way to possibly get into that. But like I said, I want my business to be stable enough to allow me to do that.
To branch out into your own creativity a bit more. By the way, you're in the right town. San Diego hosts Comic Con every year. Yeah, I'm sure you know that. And if you want tickets, you have to buy them, like, two minutes after they go on sale. They sell out that quickly. I have yet to be able to score tickets in the last 12 years. I think it was at least 12 years ago that I actually got tickets. Yeah. In fact, Star Trek Next Generation was still on, so, I mean, that must have been like 20 years ago, come to think of it. Oh, my God. I know, because they were there, the whole cast. Okay, so you want to grow your creativity. What's going on, though, with. With your graphic design? Where is this? Why do you. Why do I keep getting the feeling like you're. It's like you're circling a fortress. You want in. You're not getting in enough. You're not. Do you have enough work?
I think it sort of comes in cycles. I think right now I've got work coming in from clients. I have a lot of clients on the East Coast. I have none on the west coast yet. But usually at certain times of the year, it's crazy. And then, you know, certain than those other, you know, times of the year where it's work a little quiet. So, like I said, I got some work coming in, but I think the biggest thing for me is just, I think just waiting on checks and waiting on certain payments from clients and things like that.
Yeah. The question is very interesting because what you're telling me and what I'm feeling are different. Right. What you're telling me is you have plenty of work. You want to have more creativity so you can do less work. Yet when I feel you, you feel like a man who is trying to break into something and feeling like he's not able to okay, so you have. Yeah, there's. There's this energy inside you of. I can't get in. I can't get in no matter what I do. So maybe what I'm sensing is you kind of trapped between two worlds or two careers. Okay. You know, like a narrow place in between. Your work is there, you're grateful for it, you don't want it, you don't like it. I don't know what's happening there. And yet you have this other stuff you want to do, but you're not breaking into that either. You're not really going in. You're not really going in to perhaps either one. You know what I'd love to see you do after this call is just, you know, take 10, 15 minutes just to go out in the sunshine. It's a beautiful day here. I'm in Encinitas, and sit in the sunshine and ask yourself, what do I really want? Where do I feel like I can't go? Because I've told myself I can't go there. Why have I trapped myself in this, thinking I can go anywhere? If I want to keep all my clients and subcontract out the work, I could do that. If I want to design my own graphic novel, all I need to do is sit down and start. What is this restriction that I continually feel sitting on me? Is it a true restriction, like I have to make a certain amount of money? Is it a restriction that's coming up because there's a part of me that says, you're not going to do it. You're not going to. You're going to fail at it, so don't start it. You got something in you that's tying you, and I want you to find it. Okay?
Okay?
That's the key. That's the key that will unlock your whole question. All right, I'm gonna let you go.
Thank you.
Thanks, Quintelle. Take care. Very interesting. Sometimes that happens. You know, it's funny. I was teaching my daughter recently how to. She's 12 now. Can you believe that? I was teaching her how to read Oracle cards, And she would ask a question, and then the cards will answer a different answer to her, a different question. And she'll say, what? Why? Why are they doing that? Because I will explain to her what the cards are saying. She says, but that's not my question. I'm like, I know. You know, energy understands your real question, the words you use, what you think you're wanting to know is often not what you really need or want. And you know, the part of being a great oracle card reader is that you can interpret what they're actually answering because the cards are trying to shift you. What they're saying is, no, that's not the real question. That's irrelevant. Or that's not what you really care about. The thing you really care about you're not addressing. And it's funny, with Quantelle I had that feeling. He's not letting himself into something and I really want him to find out what because that is a self fulfilling prophecy. It is him shutting down his own flow and he knows what that thing is he's not letting himself into. Okay, quick break. When we get back, if we have time for calls, I'll pick up one more. Something dreamy, something soft. By the way, when you flow dream, you don't have to do it to music. I just like to, because it sets the mood. All of the. The flow dreams that are in my store, by the way, have the manifesting shop@flow dreaming.com. the professionally produced ones all have a kind of upbeat music in the background. Not very dreamy, Stu. It's more filled with movement, a sense of alignment, Flow. Right, Because I'm trying to help you get into this space. Remember, Flow dreaming is not meditation. It's a very active emotional technique that creates both inside you and in your flow and in your future. So we're going to flow Dream right now by closing your eyes, taking a deep, relaxing breath. And you feel yourself just starting to drift, letting go, Relaxing the shoulders, relaxing your chest, letting your. Brow drop, your neck release. Into flow you go. You're a leaf swirling in the water. Leaf swirling, swirling. Being carried by a gentle stream, stream of energy, a stream of flow. Your life, your life is the stream. You are the leaf. You have a past, you have a present, and you have a future. And the present is continually leaping into the future. The past is continually drinking in where you have just been. That's you. That's you. The moment of the present is a precision moment, a split second, the tiniest moment of absorption. This is your experience. What you feel now determines everything ahead of you. What you feel now becomes everything behind you. And you're in this feeling state. You're in this state of deep emotional awareness. Feeling your heart open, feeling your abdomen open. And you have ideas. You know what you want.
What you want to feel.
That's what you want. The things that come because of what you want to feel, well, those things could be anything, any combination. Sometimes we have very clear ideas of what we think we need to create these feelings in us. We need this specific house, this perfect job, this perfect relationship, this kind of body. But really, as you think about it.
As you relax into it, you recall.
Maybe there's more than one thing that will make me happy. Maybe there's more than one chance. What One opportunity, one person that could create all these deep feelings of contentment, joy, security, a feeling of achieving excelling, feeling of intimacy, a feeling of vibrancy and health. That's what I really want that's what I really am. I'm going to be those things right now. And as things shift and change around me, life as you're responding to me, as I'm creating this inside myself right now, I recognize there are some things around me that perhaps I created from my past, my past way of thinking. And now that I'm changing my way of thinking, those past things, well, they don't fit. I've changed. I've become different. And those things don't fit. And if they don't fit, they will be washed away. I gladly allow them to be washed away. I want them to be washed away. They need to be washed away. They need to be washed away. And I accept that. I accept that. And sometimes it might feel like, wow, that was a surprise, or, whoops, I didn't think that was going to fall. That was falling through, or, gosh, that's not what I was asking for. I step back and I say, oh, it's just an adjustment. You're right. Those things were all there because of my past thinking. And they had to pop. They had to come up popping and be done with. Some things just disappeared without coming up and popping. But that's okay. Both work for me. All I know is that now that I'm changing and moving, I will soon be releasing and bypassing and getting way far out in front of all that other stuff. It's temporary. It's temporary. I'm moving through it. It's temporary. Oh, okay. That's wonderful. That's wonderful. I love that feeling. This is all right. It's all good. I can handle this. I accept this. I receive this. I'm on the right track. Nothing is actually wrong. It's all right. And it's getting more right. Whatever it is. I accept that. And I stay in that powerful place inside myself. I stay in that energy inside myself. This is my flow. This is everything. All my power is here. Me, my greater self, my universe, my flow, my source, my God, my whatever. All here. Doesn't get any bigger, doesn't get any more powerful. All right, I accept and I receive. Thank you. I end by saying thank you. I feel that. Thank you. Thank you. And with that, I find myself returning from my flow and opening my eyes just to give you a hint of how powerful that is. Do you know you were gone about six minutes. Goes that fast when you're in a state of flow. Anyway, learn more about it. Explore it more, please, by visiting flow dreaming.com. pick up some flow dreams. Get a good playlist of them.
