Flow Dreaming.
It's a show where we talk about the power of your mind to change your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. We talk about this feeling of hope and joy and relief, and that is what being aware of your flow does. It gives you a feeling of power again in your lives. Oh, my God. You were so on target.
You are so amazing. I can't thank you enough.
Breathe. It is the feeling that you bring forward. It is your emotional connection that really sets the tone for what is going to be happening to you and for you. And you know that feeling, when you touch it, it just spreads through you. Thank you for taking my call. I don't know why I feel like crying. I think I just feel your love. Of course. And I think I'm gonna get some ANSWERS. I'm Summer McStravik, and welcome to another episode of Flow Dreaming. Welcome to Flow Dre. Before we get started, a really quick note. If you found this show on itunes or by downloading the Flow Dreaming podcast app, it would mean so much if you took a moment to review it. That is how other people will find this show and get the same great value out of it that I hope you're getting. So my huge thanks and sparkles and Flow go to all of you who just take that few moments to go write a quick little message of telling other people. This is good. Go listen. Thanks. Now off we go to the show. That's right. Here we are for another delicious episode of Flow Dreaming. Hi, everybody. Thank you for joining me. Today's show is a good feeling show. It is about gratitude. It's been my theme of the month. It's been what I've been talking to my MI school students about exploring this one particular emotion, the emotion of receiving, the emotion of deserving, the emotion of acknowledging. Right. Gratitude is a multifaceted feeling that you can evoke because really, it contains so many smaller emotional endpoints within it. So we're going to talk about that this hour, how it really functions and acts in your life. I know gratitude has been kind of a hip emotion in the last couple of years. Everyone's talking about the power of gratitude, so we're going to take it on from a Flow Dreaming perspective. Before we go any further, though, welcome to the program Flow Dreaming. If this is your first time, it is a modality that is, man, life changing, mind blowing. I don't say that lightly. I myself have been practicing it for about 10 years. Maybe it's even more. I tend to lose track of the years after A certain number. So quite a while. Quite a while. You can look at it like an emotional fitness program, right? You have a physical fitness program, right? Or, you know, you should. You have a mental fitness program which we call our work. Whatever we do to exercise our minds every day. Almost none of us have an emotional fitness program. And we wonder why the emotional aspects of our lives tend to get so out of, out of hand. They get so skewed. And, you know, then we medicate ourselves or we have some wine or some beer or we withdraw or et cetera, et cetera. Flow dreaming is incredible for regaining a sense of power, authority. Regaining a feeling of my emotions are my best friends. I love my emotional self. I love myself. How many of you guys practice loving yourself? You know, raise your hands. You can't do that unless you have a really strong emotional self willing and able to open up, create and receive love for itself, you, for yourself. When you do that, of course, it begins to be a lot easier to open up and love other people, to forgive other people, to grow with other people, to communicate openly and honestly with other people. All kinds of, I guess you could say, side effects happen as a result of this kind of emotional fitness. And I know that's an interesting way to describe it for a lot of you because you'll listen to my other podcasts and I say it's about manifesting, right? Flow Dreaming is about creating. It is, it is. But I find that people create what they are, right? The law of attraction, all of that. For me, it comes right down to you. Create what you are. Your emotional self is guiding you every single day. If your mental self says, do this, and your emotional self says, uh, guess who wins, right? The mental self can pull things along for short bursts, right? No, I will not eat chocolate tonight. Yes, I will get to the gym for a few days. But its job isn't long term. Your emotional self is your ultimate rudder on your boat. It is your guide. It is your map. It calls the shots. It communicates with your higher self. It communicates with your universal self. It communicates with your life in the making. It communicates with your flow. So if you backtrack, if you wondered why all the other things you've tried over the years haven't really worked, you need to try this. This is the inner peace, I think, that so many of us have been missing. And there are other ways, of course, to access that inner peace. You can find it through. And by peace, I mean piece. But P E A C E is just as appropriate. Meditation yes. Can also bring you there. However, there's a lot of you guys like me out there. We're not great at meditating. It's not our number one modality. We have active minds, busy minds, perhaps imaginative minds, yappy dog minds. And when we flow dream, we allow our emotional selves to come out. We allow our minds to come along for the ride and enjoy it and do something. So it becomes a very different experience than meditation, but it can lift you into and even past, I think the same place as meditation. That said, yes, flow dreaming is also about manifesting and creating, creating your future, communicating your future, steering the future, guiding the future. It is a giant world you are stepping into with flow dreaming and welcome, welcome, welcome. You'll find some fantastic people here. I joke often that I've created my own private community, like my own tribe around me. How lucky is that to be able to create a group of people who all think and feel and have the same goals and visions. Not necessarily the smallest things, like everybody doesn't want the same job for instance. But the fact that we're all so involved in self growth and transformation and empowerment. There is a kind of fearlessness that's involved in the flow dreaming community. There's a sense of commitment, of power. Really strong people or people who want to get strong. Those are the people who really learn how to flow and flow deeply. You know, all of you who come in as controllers, like me or how I used to be, you learn to balance yourself out. Most of your stress is coming from living in a way that is not helpful to you. And we try and find all ways to address it, right? A lot of them again, you know, we turn to our antidepressants, we turn to our alcohol, we turn to our even working out at the gym, right? All the different ways we address our stress. One of the biggest ways is to start to emotionally, mentally, physically integrate through your own transformational awareness of who you are, where you're going, where your power is, fixing everything in your life, getting yourself really ship shape and then starting to reap these humongous benefits that come in. And the benefits are you are starting to get things in your life that you actually want, that you've actually been asking for. No longer is manifesting something that other people do that sounds too good to be true. No, you actually live it. I am living it. I am constantly looking backward in my life and saying, wow, I sure got that put together in the right order. Woo. That was so lucky I did that. That was such divine timing. And of Course in my mind. I know. No, I've just created all of this. I'm setting myself up over and over again for better and better things to happen for me. And in fact, they do. Okay, so that was my short little riff on what flow dreaming is. I know you're still terribly confused, huh? Go to flowdreaming.com and you will find a free. It's like a gift basket or a gift bag, I call it. It's a download of an introduction to what flow dreaming is. It's totally free. I teach you how to do it. It's about 30 minutes. You learn the whole process and then I give you a flow dream to begin practicing with. You will start to reach into your emotional self, love it up, welcome it, and start to see the overflow as things in your life change in response to you. And that is really how we manifest ongoingly, effectively, just as part of who we are. It's no longer an extra effort to manifest things. Isn't that awesome? Okay, so go to the website, check it out. The other thing before we get into gratitude today is I have probably one of the best flow dreams I think I've ever recorded. And it's on the subject of gratitude. It is brand new in the shop. It's called Super Juicy Gratitude. Depending on when you're listening to this, it may or may not be on the home page. Just use the search bar, type in gratitude. It should come up for you. It may also come up as part of a playlist. Playlists are groupings of flow dreams that I've put together specifically to address certain areas of your life. Because it does become boring to play the same things over and over. These are audios that you listen to, right? They're each, you know, from 15 to 20 minutes long, usually for short. Some of them are 10 minutes even. The playlists sort of work on different areas for a desired end game. Right? It would be like going to the gym and you only work on your, you know, your biceps. That would be kind of silly. If you want your arms to look better, you work on your biceps and your triceps and your shoulders. The same is true of playlists. If you're reworking an area of your life, one flow dream is probably going to open a door, but it's not the full thing that you're going to need. So check out those playlists and let's see the last thing. Well, you'll learn about me school later as we go along. Let's just dive in right now. Of course, as Always later in the show, you're going to practice flow dream with me and also we're going to take your wonderful calls. I love talking to you guys and putting flow in motion in your life, triggering new energies to start happening for you. I speak specialize in that as well as looking in people's minds and telling you what they're thinking. It's all just different uses of flow energy. And I see the phone banks are full, so I better get through my little discussion today about gratitude, right? Every. Every podcast, I pick up a different subject or theme and roll with it. Gratitude came to me this month. Well, actually, not even this month. I planned this months ago. June was gratitude month. One, because I was walking my me schoolers through the topic, and two, because I felt that, hey, I've never addressed it with all of you out there listening in the world. I've been practicing gratitude as part of my flow dreaming experience for years and years. Just never really called it out specifically as its own, you know, identifiable thing. When I'm moving into flow and I'm creating feelings around something in my life that I want to grow in myself, a new characteristic I want to create in myself. If I'm asking for something like, hey, I really need an opportunity in my career right now, I'm feeling it occurring for me. It's happening. I'm manifesting something. The element of gratitude is almost always present. It's a mix. It's like a watercolor of colors coming together. The feeling is, I receive this. I deserve this. This is good for me. I have earned this. Perhaps I didn't even need to earn it. I just receive it anyway. It's a feeling that says, I already have it, because obviously that's why I'm being thankful for it. One of the exercises I've given to my MI school students to think about things they are already grateful for, right? Very basic exercise. What are the things you're already grateful for? Well, my parents, maybe, or my kids, or that I live, gosh, in the United States, where it's a beautiful country. I have a lot of opportunities here. I'm grateful for my body, that I wake up with it every day. It's there for me. I'm grateful for. You can list these things, right? There's a sense of ownership that gets evoked in you. You own these things. You're not asking for them, you're not waiting to receive them. You're not hoping you've. You're good enough or that you've evolved enough or transformed enough to now have that opportunity, right? That's one of the pitfalls. A lot of personal growth people fall into that sense that, well, I'm just not there yet. I've got to work out this lesson first, which is really a delay factor for many of us. You know, like somebody's still grading us and we have to pass all these tests before we're allowed to move on. If you're feeling gratitude for things already in your life, you've already received them, you've already earned them. They exist for you, and you're acknowledging them now. You take that and you contrast it. What are the things you don't yet have that you would like to have in your life if you could feel gratitude for those things as if you already have them? What do you notice when you practice this exercise? What do you notice? Things will come up for you if you're doing it correctly. 1. Feelings of doubt. Well, it's not quite the same as the fact that I know that I wake up every morning and I'm breathing right. That's a given. I'm grateful to my body, my life, to God, to source. But when I say I'm grateful for being able to move to this new state and having a job waiting for me that's even better than the one I have, I notice that the feeling isn't quite as secure. I don't believe it as much. I can't wrap myself into it. It's harder for me to be grateful. Notice that because in the realm of flow, you want those feelings to be equal. You want to accept that as if you have already earned that, as if it was ridiculously easy for that to have occurred for you or happened for you in your life. Notice the contrast. It shows you how far out you are from actually receiving it. It's a really good little exercise to do. The other thing is when you practice feeling those things you don't yet have, you're having the gratitude for them. Notice what else comes up. Are there other things that pop up that sort of wave at you? Maybe you're feeling like, yeah, I really can. I really can feel that. Say I live in California now. I've moved to California. I've always wanted to be there. I love the work. I even have time to work from home. What else comes up? Whoa. I bet you. If you really are owning that, other little pieces spring up naturally. I love the new friends that I've created here. I love the fact that everyone in my life. Thank you. Thank you, friends, for stepping in. Thank you for surrounding me so quickly, for guiding me, for helping me as I transitioned to this new city. Thank you for making it such a short transition. I was just blown away by how easily I integrated. It wasn't at all this long process of loneliness like I was afraid of. Thank you. You'll notice that friends, little helper, friends of gratitude will come up and surround your visions, surround your feeling, which is delightful because now you're building a true view, a true vision of what you're becoming, of what you're like. And if other little things pop up, like I said, where you feel like, well, I feel grateful that I'm living in California, but I'm having a harder time feeling grateful that there are friends and people who've accepted me. That's a. A key for you, right? That is your flow. Saying here isn't here is one of the reasons why that you haven't moved yet. Because you don't feel 100% about this, because you feel insecure about this. You're afraid of this, you're worried about this. You're creating this. Even though you may be feeling grateful and happy and able to get yourself moved, there are all these other things that you're holding back with inside yourself. Feeling gratitude, in other words, becomes an exploratory medium, meaning it actually helps you see and develop and spot those pieces of you that are going into lack thinking. It's useful. You don't just create and get stuff with it. It helps you see. And that's something else, obviously, we love to do in flow dreaming. We love to find those things that we cannot see in ourselves. All the patterns that interrupt us. Right? Patterns that interrupt us. Patterns that play out that we're not aware of. Maybe you've heard these called stories or blocks or restrictions. I tend to call them resistance or ceilings or patterns because they're often connected like webs inside of our life. It's like removing a spider web. You remove one part of it, the whole thing starts to collapse in the middle. It doesn't matter which one of the connecting strands, you know, the one that's attached to the roof, the one that's attached to the rose bush, the one that's attached to the patio chair. Doesn't matter which one you start dismantling first. The pattern is revealing itself in multiple areas of your life. Through your behavior, through your feelings, through your thoughts about yourself. Disrupt one of those and watch the pattern start to collapse in the middle. Then you want to go ahead and start collapsing all the other points where it's coming up for you in your life. Gratitude will help you find those areas and move through them. So in short, gratitude is not some namby pamby little happy thing. That's just a feel good thing. It is a strong core feeling inside you. Highly useful. Sometimes I talk about how every different emotion has a specific use when you are manifesting. Yes, there's like a top five. The granddaddies, the grandmothers of the emotional tools that we like to use. Gratitude is definitely one of them, right? Because it does, like I said at the beginning, it does embody receiving. It embodies ownership. It embodies a sense of self love. Right? You have to be loving yourself and self worthy. You have to have self worth to acknowledge that you've received something. Obviously you have been good enough to have received it. It encompasses all of these within it. It's like a mega vitamin emotion. Someday I should do a. I should do a show on the top five emotions that I use. That'd be kind of fun, huh? All right, well, I'm going to scribble that down for later. By the way, all of you who've been posting on Facebook, I love your posts. I do try to get back to you about them. I sometimes ask for podcast topics. If you see one of those posts go up, please go ahead. Or if you don't, just just, you know, write something yourself. I'm always looking ahead to see what you want me to talk about and explore. Next with Flow Dreaming. Okay, I think we're ready for a quick break when we get back. Calls, calls, calls, calls. And so stay with me for more Flow Dreaming right after this.

Welcome back to Flow Dreaming. Calls, calls, calls. Hey, let's Start with Chris. You're in Hollywood. Hi, Chris. How are you? You there? There you are. Yeah. There you are. Hey there. What's up? Hello.
Hello. I just want to tell you thank you. For the last six years, I've been addicted to you. I listen to you almost every morning and every time you come out with a new record.
It took you six years to get up the courage to call me. Well, I'm glad you finally did.
Well, I'm glad I did too. So thank you for taking my call.
Or you've had no problems for six years, which would be even better.
Yeah, well, no, I wish I could say that. Well, you know, so I called today because actually I have today off. I've had the last month off. The job that I was with recently had let me go and which is fine because they paid up for this whole month and now it's kind of getting to that point now that I need to find something new. And speaking of being grateful, I was so grateful that this job came around because I was at a job prior to this that I'll tell you what, I prayed and I manifest or I, you know, flow dreamed. I did everything I could to get out of it. And this other job kind of came along and it took me away from there and I was so excited and so happy as I get into a new relationship. And unfortunately it was a startup and so it didn't really get started up. That was the first line of fire, getting rid of somebody. And now I'm in the point where I was just like, okay, well, I have all these options. I really kind of want to pursue what I want to do. I'm 37 years old and I kind of figure I just want to start doing what I came out to LA and Hollywood to do. And that's part of being in like a creative kind of team and department. And I can't figure it out because I mean, I do photography, I write. I mean, I feel like I'm a deck of all trades, but I haven't been able to focused on one thing. Yeah, and like I said, I mean, today's show is perfect because every day before I sit down and have my dinner, I just say what I'm grateful for, for the day. Because that just kind of keeps me in the mindset that, you know, something good is going to come along. I don't need to focus on anything bad that I've gone through. And not that it's bad, it's all experiences. And I'm learning from those experiences. And I am where I am now. So my question is, is just like, right now, I'm just kind of. I feel a little lost. And I'm trying to feel okay about being lost because I don't know what my next move should be. And that's where I kind of was hoping you could help me out with that.
Yes. Before I do, there's something you said that struck me. Every day you practice your gratitude, you go into that emotion, and, you know, I just want to tell everybody who's listening right now, when you are in a place of gratitude, you're basically creating more of what you already have. That's good. And sometimes we get lost in thinking, I only have to fix the bad things. Fixing the bad things is half the story. If you already have good things, just make more of that. It's much easier to just continue the good stuff you've already made. And that's what gratitude does. It says, I have a beautiful home. I have good health. I have important intimate relationships in my life. And you basically are upholding those and growing those, which is often way more effective for people than focusing 90% of their energy on fixing the one or two areas that are bothering them. So thank you for pointing that out or jogging it in my head to remind everybody. Okay.
Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, it's just one of those things. I mean, it took me forever to realize that.
Yeah.
And so when you. And when you said it today, it kind of sparked. I'm like, oh, well, I do this every day. Yeah, you're right. I do need to focus on that. And. And I feel like I have been, but it's. I guess I'm just. I'm trying not to be scared. And a lot of people that I know are just like, well, what are you gonna do? What are you gonna do?
Don't. Don't. Don't listen to them. Don't go into that.
I know, I know. I've been trying not to.
They're like. They're like sharks swimming around you in the ocean. Right. All the lack thinkers. What are you gonna do, Chris? What are you gonna do? Your money's running out, Chris. I don't know who's gonna hire you.
Yeah, I know. That's where. And I keep telling myself, okay, I'm good right now. Everything's good. And I just. I have this. Let go and just, you know, welcome whatever new experience comes in because that's going to lead me into the next experience that I need to be a part of so I can grow. And today I have a meeting with somebody. Oh, I'm sorry. Go on.
Oh, yeah, yeah. I did want to ask you what field you're in. You mentioned the creative field. I can feel that about you already. It's more a question of I wouldn't worry so much. Who wants to hire you for what particular job. I would be focused on your emotional endpoint. Yes, I'm a good writer. Yes, I'm a good photographer. Yes, I can go into video. I am looking for something where perhaps I have, you know, all of my talents are being used. Perhaps, you know, like an art director, where I have to manage video people, I have to manage designers, I have to manage the copywriters. Something where you don't feel you have to change yourself necessarily or even specialize. Perhaps specializing becomes an option for you because you do want to explore something, but that's at your discretion. But again, keeping in that theme of, hey, this is what I'm already good at. I'm good at a lot of means of expression and I know about a lot of means of expression. I am not a one trick pony. I am multidimensional, multifaceted. There's going to be someone, some company who recognizes that and says, you, I need you on my team. And that's a feeling that comes up in you. You're right. You need me on your team. You're right. I've got everything that you need. So here, what we're doing is we're shifting you away from the fear of I really should specialize. I have too many things that I don't know deep enough. Don't go into that. Right. That's a holding back, a pulling away emotion. That's you walking up to somebody and saying, I'm not good enough because, you know, I know too many things too shallowly. Don't look at it like that. I have a broad base of expertise. I am perfect for managing, assembling or interfacing between all of these expressive means. You get what I'm getting here?
No, I totally do. And it amazes me because you got into management and I thought, well, that's the next step I need to get into.
Totally.
And that's what I've actually been pursuing. I have a meeting today with somebody about maybe doing the project management for their interior design company.
Perfect. So that's exactly where I see you.
Yeah. And you know, and I. I'm just a little nervous because like I said, it was, everything's kind of coming to a head at the end of the month. Rent due la La la. You know, daily life. And I just wanted to kind of make sure I was going in the right direction. I just want to, like, all of a sudden shrink up and die.
Don't do that, Chris. No, no, no. Okay. You are already getting response from Flo giving you options in management, utilizing. Turn this weakness in your head into a strength. Right? It's your strength. You know about a lot of things. You know how to pull them together. You know what to look for in other people. You're going to be the one who has to tweak things. You can look at a photo, a layout and say, this is just crappy. We need to redo this. You know, you have all of those abilities. So play them. Play them, feel them, walk in with them. Stay in the emotional endpoint. I'm a creative guy. I'm really good at this. It's time in my life to go from production to management. That's the shift I'm making. I'm feeling very satisfied about it. Things are flying into my lap. Lots and lots of action in the next two weeks. I'm going to be applying for more positions in management and creative fields than I have done in the last two months. Flow. I'm going to give that to you. And you can do something with that. I know you will. And I'm raring to follow up. That's it.
That's it.
All you got to do. All right, Kris, thanks.
Thank you so much. And I'm so excited. I got to talk to you.
You're welcome. I fully expect you to drop me an email in a month saying I got the best new job. It's amazing. Okay, take care. Let's do another call. Hey, we got some time before break. Let's see. Mayan man in San Francisco. Mayan, California calls day. Hey.
Hi, Summer. Thanks so much for taking my call.
You're welcome. Have we spoken before?
We have. And I've been part of your members, your diamond program and your program.
Okay. Because I'm like, you're so familiar to me. I feel your energy, like, just staring at the call board. Okay, now I can place you. Okay. Awesome. How have you been?
Great, Great. Things are going well. But the reason I called today specifically was because my husband and I have been trying to start a family for a while, and it hasn't happened yet. And we're kind of getting pressure, like, from people, from parents on doing, like, other things like IVF and things like that, you know, And I just. I'm resistant to it. And I was just wondering if you could maybe look into my flow to see if that's something we need to consider or if there's anything that's really blocking, like the fears that you talked about from, you know, happening.
Yeah, I remember talking with you about this before, too. Didn't we talk about when. When did you. How. Do you mind me asking personally, how long have you guys been working at?
Like, five years.
Five years. Okay, Let me look inside you. Can you give me your husband's first name? Mark. Mark. Come in. Five years. I'm assuming you guys have gone through all the usual testing. Yeah. Do you have an indication of where the problem is?
Nope.
Everything okay? And they said we're in the unknown category. Don't know why.
Oh, don't you just love that? I know. So do you spend time. I'm just closing my eyes looking at you. Do you ever spend time talking to your body, talking to your ovaries, talking to your eggs? Hey, girls. What's going on? Would you guys like to have a baby? Hey, does any part of me want to have a baby? Which part of me wants the baby and which part of me doesn't want the baby? Let's do a little exploration. I can see you doing this, which is why I'm recommending it. Putting your hands on both of your ovaries. I'm doing it myself right now. Okay. And closing your eyes and moving into flow, which I know you know how to do. Releasing, letting go. And it's like watching a carbon copy of your body walk with you. And in this carbon copy, this energy body, again, you have your hands over your ovaries, and there's a very quiet and very sincere conversation. Who here does not want to have a baby? What part of me? If it's not you, what other part of me? Where is this holding on? Who is holding back? And there's no. There's no accusation. It's a sense of just curiosity. I really would love to know who's scared, right? Who's scared? It's like talking to a child scared to go to bed. Who's scared? Who's scared of this now? What happens when we have this possibility? You can get graphic. We got some happy little sperm going on here. Who is saying, not now? Not me. Looking yourself into that point where you could conceive or not conceive and opening yourself to the conception, it's like emotionally energetically conceiving. It's not just physically conceiving. You're emotionally energetically conceiving, and you're practicing this Prior to or immediately after or even during the physical conceiving. Right. So you're breaking this pattern now, which is we try to physically conceive and then I wait anxiously afterwards. Okay. Obviously that's not been working, so please play with that. Please try that. And notice if anything comes up that's holding you back, I feel like there could be something there. Obviously, we can't explore it all in today's call, but if anything comes up for you, run with it. Run with it. Okay. And I'm not saying it's you could be Mark, but we're exploring. Like, that's your first step. What are the emotional energetic components of this right now? This is my new mission, is to discover them because I've already run through the whole route physically. Now, if you choose to go into something like ivf, I would still work on your emotional energetic circuitry. Hey, guys. Hey, girls. We're gonna have a baby in here soon. Let's feel what that's gonna be like. Who's on board with me? Who's scared about it? Who wants to do this? Here's what I think it's gonna feel. You're the head cheerleader in your body preparing it. That's what I would do if I were you. Okay. Does that give you some help? Yeah. Best of luck, my dear. Okay, take care. Bye. We have a quick break, and when we get back, I think I'm going to be able to do another call or two, and we will do a beautiful Flow dream exploring gratitude. How does it feel to absolutely own that feeling? Gratitude? I want you to feel gratitude for things in your life you never even thought you could feel gratitude for. Wouldn't that be cool? So stay with me and right after this break, we will get to it.

Now back to the show.
So you know how right there during the break, I say my inbox is full every day. That is the God's honest truth. In fact, I strive to reply to as many people as I can. I can't always reply to everyone. So my apologies to you if I have not. However, I do read everyone. I at least take the time to read and just, you know, acknowledge what you've sent. And speaking of gratitude, it occurred to me a while back I should take a lot of the cards that I receive. You guys, you send me beautiful note cards of thanks and all kinds of things I receive in the mail. I love it. I have all beautiful little trinkets and jewelries and all kinds of stuff. So rather than do what I used to do, which is just kind of, you know, file them away, I have started putting them up. So I have a board that I've started. It's not on the wall yet, but it has begun. That is a collection, all of these cards and notes of thankfulness. Part of gratitude. The reason I bring this up is that when you express your gratitude to somebody, the person you express it to is now challenged to receive it from you. And receiving is difficult for me. It has been difficult for me. It's something that I am really actively, even right now, working on to create more of in myself. Because the better I can receive, the more I can allow others to express their gratitude. Right. It takes two. You can't be always just grateful to yourself and to life. Sometimes you need to tell other people and share with them and challenge them. Can you receive this? What else in your life do you need to be able to receive? And you'll discover a lot of the stuff you haven't been able to manifest is because you're just having a darn hard time receiving it. Right? Speaking of, I have a friend who called in totally spontaneously. Miranda. Now, Miranda, don't give away too much. You've known me since ninth grade. So what are you doing on my podcast, my dear?
I figured this is the best way.
To get a hold of you.
Yeah, I know. I'm as hard to reach by text as I am by email sometimes. What's up, honey?
Oh, well, I thought this would be.
A good time to ask you if you could look into my flow. With my new career going on and where I am, a good place for me to be, if I should stay on Kauai or if I should look into Oregon or Colorado because I'm feeling a pull. But it's really hard for me to get any determination of where to go or if I should just work on the project. What is the best possible place for me?
Yeah, you had this question before. I remember we were talking about it Last time. And the thing is, you have some options right now in Hawaii, right. You have this hydroponics. No, no, no. Aqua permaculture. Permaculture farm, which includes all of them. Yes. To design. And the feeling that you had was. But I don't know if I'm completely ready to do that yet. I feel like I need to apprentice. I feel like I need to. And then you have the consideration of what do you do with your son. Right. So this is the pros and cons of everything. Okay. So these places that you're looking at, I know money is part of the issue. I don't know why, but I just never see it as an issue with you. It's more of an issue in your own head than it really is in your life, oddly enough. But I know you. I know you. If you're set on it, you're going to make it happen. You will, you always have, you know, and all of that self doubt needs to just go bye, bye. Inside you. I can see you actually doing a shorter stint, like a two week thing, a three week thing. So whatever you're considering, that's a longer duration in say Oregon, Colorado. I don't know why Oregon feels really good right now, but I can see you doing a shorter stay and reducing the sense of either or ness. You've got this wide gap of either or in your head and you've kind of made things bigger. Like, well, it's going to be six months there. It's going to be. Explore it for a couple of weeks. It's not going to hurt to do so.
The concern is with Kai. Well, it's with, you know, Kai and I'm wondering if you know, where he should be too, because I want to know what's the best for. What's best for his interest. You know, what's best for him. Where should he be?
Yeah. Your mom, does she ever watch him? Does he have like a preschool? Does he have a school where he's. Where she can keep him consistent there?
Yeah, she's been helping me out.
Yeah. I think she could easily step in for a couple of weeks and keep him consistent. You know, he's done a lot of traveling and consistency is going to become more and more important to him, as I'm sure you've already seen.
Arizona is not a good place for him.
I don't see a permanent move there. No.
Okay.
I don't.
So home base still Hawaii and then travel a bit.
I feel a home base still in Hawaii right now as much as I would like to have you closer personally, trying to get my bias out of this. Yeah. I think Arizona doesn't feel like a permanent place for you. You know, if you would. It would just. It's just a. It's just a. What do you call it? A detour. And. And I wouldn't encourage you to take too long of a detour there because I think it's going to stall what you're really doing. Yeah, I. I see you back in Hawaii right now. I'm sorry, darling.
Okay. And then do you see employment with this person being something happening for me, a good thing.
If you don't go after it, it will wither up and drop off like a leaf coming off a tree. If you pursue it and you don't feel insecure about pursuing it and being annoying, go ahead and be annoying. If you pursue it that way, I think it will bear fruit for you. It feels good.
Okay.
It feels pretty good. Okay.
Thanks, dear.
Oh, you're so welcome. How funny to do it for everybody. But you couldn't wait, huh? All right, sweetheart. Bye. Oh, my gosh. How sweet. Yeah, so Miranda was just over at my house like a week ago. And we got halfway through that conversation and dropped it. I love it. I think we've got just about enough time for a flow dream. So, I'm sorry, Carmen, I will have to talk with you next time, or I think you're Carmen from me school. So we'll do it in one of our classes. All right, my dear, I need to give everybody a fabulous experience of gratitude today because, frankly, it's a state that for me to go into. You feel different afterwards. You feel like, oh, my day is good, my life is good. It just. It just completely redirects and realigns your emotional self. So I am so ready for that. So I hope you guys are, too. Okay, so what we're going to do is close our eyes. If you're obviously not, you know, handling power tools or driving your car, something like that, you want to close your eyes and begin to relax. If this is your first time, just note you are not going into meditation here. You are not creative visualizing anything, and you are not self hypnotizing doing self hypnosis. This is a different process. Allow it to unfold itself for you. The going in feeling can be remarkably similar because we want our body to relax and release. We don't want to carry tension in. So you can hear me. I'm taking a deep breath, and you can hold it and let it all the way Out. You can do yogic breath if you want. You can go in through your nose, out through your mouth. You can alternate nostrils, whatever feels comfortable. The aim is for your shoulders to drop, for your abdomen to release, for your neck to feel all floaty, your jaw to drop, your brow to release. Now you're going to move into something we call flow. Flow state. Think of what the feeling, the words flow state mean to you. It's a sense of nothing is obstructing you. You're like water flowing in a merry little creek, your clouds flowing across the sky. Nothing pulls you back. In fact, there's a sense of being nudged forward, of being carried. Sometimes in a kind of current of energy or light or air, there is a flow particular to you. You are within the flow. You are part of the flow. You can see your energy self, your emotional self in your flow. You move forward, you move into your life. You move into your next step. Your life is a flow of forward events, time that ticks by the seconds on the clock. You're moving, you're moving right now from one moment into the next moment. And there's no sense of jumping. There's no hiccuping. It's not like camera frames flying past. Click, click, click. It's seamless. You're seamlessly moving forward into your future. Seamless, flying, floating forward into your life, into time, into your next step. And a lot of these things you're flowing and finding yourself moving into are remarkably similar to the last thing you were in just minor, tiny adjustments, things being a little bit different, the air in the room having adjusted itself a little bit because you've been breathing in and out and disturbing it. The cars on the road moving in and out, even their flowing. Do you see them all flowing forward on the freeway, on the highway, on the surface streets? They're all flowing, these great snakes of movement and people getting from one place to another, sharing a sense of, I need to move from one place to another. They're all in a flow together. You're participating in it. Think of all these other flows that you are simultaneously embedded in right now. You have the flow the school day of picking up your children at a certain time, their expectations for you. Or you have the. The flow of your own school day. You've got to make your classes and be there and turn things in. And the teachers are expecting things of you. There's the flow of your workday. You've got to be there at a certain time. You have people, teachers expecting things from you. You have the Flow of your family life, when do you have lunch, when do you have dinner with your family? All of those things, when are you meeting your friends? You are embedded in so many flows, things that have outcomes, possibilities. They're set up. You know, you're going to be entering with them, entering into them with minor variations. You are flowing in so many different areas of your life right now, flowing right into them. And these things are being set up for you all the time. They have to have been set up, set up more than just through your actions. So many things are happening that, that appear that you never set them up, they just occur. And yet they were set up. You were in flow with them, you had a feeling of them, your heart was in them, your intention was in them. You were in them. They're reflecting you and you're feeling right now an immense sense of thankfulness. Thank you. Thank you for setting this up for me. Thank you. It's like my autonomic nervous system, right? It's like there's a part of my life that's always being set up for me. Just like my heart is always pumping, my lungs are always breathing, my nerves are always moving, my cells are always metabolizing my waste products out. I don't have to control all of this. It's just happening for me. Likewise, all these flows of my life are happening for me. Thank you. My God, that's so much that's not on my plate. That just happens for me. It's being given to me. All of this is being, being given to me. Every day I wake up, my body is functioning, it's doing the right stuff. My life is being put together. Flows of information, energy, events, people are moving in and out in this seemingly synchronous dance. Thank you. Wow. God, I am part of something big. My God, I'm part of something. Something marvelous. My God, there must be direction in here. There must be a purpose, a point, a function. Thank you for allowing me to exist in this beautiful syncopation, this beautiful synchronicity, this beautiful forward movement and growth where half of everything is already being taken care of. It leaves me the joy of simply experiencing it, the joy of nudging it, the joy of saying, wow, you know, I get to go from one thing to a next and all I have to do is nudge things and. And plan things and intend things. And the more I get in there and feel things, the more information I give my flow, the more it sets things up. My God, what a beautiful system. I am so grateful to be part of this. I am so thankful to be hooked into this, to be aligned into this, to even know about this, to have that extra level of awareness that. That so many people don't have. Thank you. I'm so inspired right now. I've got to do something with this. I am going to do something with this. Thank you. This is a gift I've been given. Yes. I am taking every moment of it and doing something with it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. And with that last thank you, you feel yourself coming back, finding yourself present again and opening your eyes. And if that felt sudden, it was. You spent eight minutes in flow without even realizing it. How amazing is that? That is the power of flow. So with that, I've gotta go. My love to you all, and I'll see you all again next week for more Flow Dreaming.
