#467 Embracing the Resistance Out of Your Life
29 Jan 2026 · 48 min
A live Flow Dreaming podcast episode (host Summer McStravick) focused on how to work with "flow" and intentionally embrace resistance rather than only fighting it. Summer shares a personal disclosure—she was diagnosed with stage-two breast cancer and recently had a mastectomy—which frames reflections on grief, opening to love, pre-action versus reaction, and trusting the flow. The episode includes several listener call-ins addressing procrastination, career transitions, money/shame, and starting a business; Summer offers coaching, short energetic/visualization interventions, and a closing group Flow Dream guided visualization about embracing the hardest resistance in your life. Promotional breaks advertise MI School, playlists (e.g., Ready to Go Big), and resources at flowdreaming.com.

Flow Dreaming. It's a show where we talk about the power of your mind to change your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. We talk about this feeling of hope and joy and relief. And that is what being aware of your flow does. It gives you a feeling of power again in your lives. Oh, my God. You were so on target.
You are so amazing. I can't thank you enough.
Breathe. It is the feeling that you bring forward. It is your emotional connection that really sets the tone for what is going to be happening to you and for you. And you know that feeling, when you touch it, it just spreads through you.
Thank you for taking my call. I don't know why I feel like crying.
I think I just feel your love. Of course. And I think I'm gonna get some ANSWERS. I'm Summer McStravik, and welcome to another episode of Flow Dreaming. Welcome to Flow Dre. Before we get started, a really quick note. If you found this show on itunes or by downloading the Flow Dreaming podcast app, it would mean so much if you took a moment to review it. That is how other people will find this show and get the same great value out of it that I hope you're getting. So my huge thanks and sparkles and flow go to all of you who just take that few moments to go write a quick little message of telling other people. This is good. Go listen. Thanks. Now, off we go to the show. Indeed, off we go to the show. Hi, Everybody. I'm Summer McStravic. I have been podcasting this show and airing it on live radio for 10 consecutive years, non stop, with a few little brief, you know, trips here and there, time off, vacations. In fact, I'm coming back after a short little break. So welcome to all of you. Thanks for being with me here today. You know, Flow Dreaming has evolved so much over the last decade from early explorations of what it is, what it means, the excitement of discovering this process, what you can do with it all the way through till today, where I continue to apply what I call the flow philosophy to every area, every aspect of our lives. Because I continue to push this model for creating into every area of my life. Meaning it's gone so far past the original use, which was straight up manifesting, straight up creation, and now I use it to my God, just remodel myself, remodel my emotional self. I've remodeled my thinking. I have used it to heal myself, heal my past, program the future. I use flow energy to read people, to read the past, to read the future. To read a consciousness, no matter where it may be existing, whether it's physical or non physical, it is all done through this basic understanding of what flow is, how you are deeply integrated into it, made of it, how it works on your behalf. It is an enormous model. So today's show is kind of unusual because I sent out a newsletter to everybody. So thank you all for showing up. By the way, if you want to get my newsletter, do visit flowdreaming.com the way you sign up for it. Actually you have to receive a free gift bag of goodies from me in order to get onto my newsletter. I know I made it so hard. Anyway, there's an area that says get my free gift bag. Basically what you get is a tutorial, how to flow dream. And then you get a flow dream to work with. So you get a couple of nice juicy audio files and that subscribes you and then you start to learn things from me in between shows like what's coming up next on podcast or what playlists and so forth that I recommend, plus my just general thoughts. And that is how many of you already learned some of the biggest news in my life and what has inspired today's podcast, which is how you embrace resistance. And it's really important because I've spoken at length over the years about how to eradicate resistance in your life, how to move around flow past resistance in your life. And I have rarely spoken on why sometimes we actually need to move through resistance, why we need to embrace it, accept it, love it up, take it in. And what brought me to this way of thinking for myself was I was diagnosed about a month ago with stage two breast cancer. And it's been a fast and furious headlong journey in the last four or five weeks. Maybe it's been a little longer now. I'm kind of losing track. About two weeks ago I had my surgery, had the mastectomy done. So if I ramble a bit today, it's because I'm really not that far post surgery. I just missed you guys and I wanted to hop on and update you all. I was so surprised at all the emails I received in response to my newsletter. I mean hundreds. Like there's probably three or four hundred of you. I have no idea how I'm going to thank you all and respond to you all. I'd probably spend a full day, which I may do because I have a lot of time in bed now. But the upside of this, more than an upside, the biggest thing, the biggest part of this for me has been that I've really been pushed into a new, I hate to say level, a new area of my thinking, right. I like to get away from words like levels or ladders or higher or lower. In flow philosophy, nobody's ahead and nobody's behind. It's simply a playing field and we're all experiencing different parts. It's like saying the batter is better than the infielder. No, the infielder will be the batter. The battery batter will be the infielder. You've got to take on each role. And I'm taking on a role right now of learning how to fully embrace and move through cancer, which for me is a kind of resistance, or could be a kind of resistance in my life. So this podcast, this radio program, it goes out to all of you who are experiencing any form of resistance, right? Cancer is, is a big one because it drops in like this beasty little animal in your life and completely takes over. It's a bull in a china shop. I've had to modify my schedule for the entire rest of the year. I had to actually reduce my workload by a full 50% and I had to do this within about two weeks. And I had to have some real heart to heart conversations with floating. I had to open myself in an extraordinary way. What do I need to know? What do I need to hear? What do I need to learn? I had to go full tilt back into student mode and re experience what that's like to simply not know, to not have the answer. And in doing that, it's really made me reconnect with a lot of my own students. I'm like, yeah, God, I know that feeling. I know how frustrating that is. I know that beginning feeling of not having it down yet. That's where I'm at. But I like to feel that I'm, you know, trespassing through it. And so today I'm going to share with you a couple of things I have learned from having this kind of resistance in my life. Remember, this can be your health condition, this can be your divorce, this can be your firing, this can be your loss of someone you love in your life. This can be anything that absolutely dumps you upside down. And, you know, you're going to have to deal with and address for months and months and months. And typically, it's not something we ask for. Now there's a whole other podcast as to why I got cancer. I'm gonna hold that one off, believe me. I've already got my newsletter written all about it. But, you know, just for A background, I think about all the other people I've known in my life, especially some of the great teachers who have also had cancer, and all the questions that always sprang up for me around them. Wayne Dyer, a lot of you guys met me through Wayne, when he and I podcasted together, had our radio show together through Hay House, through Sirius xm. Of course, he got cancer. He got leukemia. Debbie Ford, a friend of mine, I have a beautiful little necklace I've been wearing that she gave me not too long before she died from cancer. Think about Jerry Hicks, you know, of Abraham Hicks. Again, cancer. So clearly there is a role for disease in our lives. There is a reason, a rationale, a point to it, and I don't completely buy into. Well, it's your wake up call, but like I said, we'll go into that. Another podcast. Ooh, a little teaser. It's coming up today. The focus is what do you do with it? What do you do with resistance? So, you know, the first few days, I cried, cried a lot, cried spontaneously. I released, I dumped. I just let myself be in it. I let myself have those emotions, right? We people, we, those of us who flow drain, we honor our emotional selves, we give, we listen. If we ask our emotional selves to work for us all the time like we do, we also have to be responsive to our emotional selves. When it says, hey, I need to do this and I need to feel this. So I straight up honored myself. And it lasted about three days. And then it was like evaporation, you know, like the rain evaporating off the sidewalks after a storm. It just eased up and released. And I realized what had occurred for me is that I was in grief. I was grieving. And I wasn't just grieving the fact that I would be losing a breast, that I would be losing a big chunk of my life that I could, you know, in times of terms of time that I would be potentially losing my life to this disease. I was grieving everything. It was like uncorking a well. Everything that I hadn't grieved before or I hadn't fully released came up like this bit of grief was the cork in a bottle. And it made me realize, I guess we do this a lot of times when we feel anger. That explosion, it's not just what you're angry about at the moment. It's everything that's tied into that anger. It's the full bottle, full. The same was true of my grief. And when I released it and let it out, I felt immediately different. I was so open to the very opposite emotion, love. And I existed in that state for several weeks. It's still with me. But it truly did move me into a new place. I can experience an immense heart opening love now like I have never experienced before. I was catapulted and you know, part of my, I'm sure next year or two ahead is going to be how do I integrate this, how do I teach this, what can be done with this? So I grieved. And once I came out of the grief, I started to realize, you know, I know how to pre act. I know how to react. Is this year ahead for me going to be about reacting? Is it going to be about lack thinking about all the things that cancer could do to me or am I going to pre act this? Is this just another opportunity for me to put my feet where my mouth is? What will happen if I do? What will happen if instead of resisting this, resisting the diagnosis, resisting the months ahead, resisting the enforcement of all these things that I'm going to be plunged into happens if instead I embrace them? If I say, you know what Flo, I honest to God trust you. I trust you. You've given me so many good things in my life. Why would I stop trusting you now that there's this perceived bad thing? No, it's time for me to trust. It's time for me to say, okay, I embrace this too. I believe this is my next step and I don't know where it's taking me. I don't know. You can't see ahead, you can't see around the bend. I've been stating this for years. And flow in your journey is going to take you around so many bends. This is not my first, this will not be my last. We're all going to have at least several major curve balls in our life. Remember I did a show about curve balls. Well, this is just my latest one. How do I want to handle this? Because after this there'll be another. There'll be another. This is an opportunity for me to up level. This is an opportunity for me to say I embrace this. What are you giving me? Cancer? Hey. What are you giving me? Why are you here? What can I receive from you? What can I take from you? Do you know what this feeling does? It strips away all of the power of the resistance in your life. It strips away the frustration, it strips away the anger. It strips away all of the push, pull resistance that's going on. You've heard me speak before about freeing up your energy and all the ways that we dilute and trap and divert our energy. Like a battery, right? You know, you've heard about those invisible appliances that are plugged into your walls right now. Even they're turned off. Your TV's off, but it's still pulling a little juice. We have so many things like that in our life. What happens when you're able to cut back on those? Say, no, I'm taking this power back into myself. You get more power. What do you do with that power? Well, it's yours now. You can play with it, you can create with it. You can emerge with it into whatever you want. So I want all of you right now to be thinking, what are you resisting in your life? What are you pissed off at? What are you angry about? What do you wish wasn't there? Who do you wish wasn't there? What health problem are you quote, unquote, battling? Stop battling. There's no need to battle anymore. Embrace it. I love you. Right. I will say it. I love you. Cancer doesn't mean I want you to, but I love you because you're my next step. Because this is obviously part of what I'm supposed to be doing. I know, because I've spent the last decade going to all the emotional end points in myself. Here's how I want to feel. This is what I want to be. This is what I want to experience in my life. This is the joy, this is the freedom. This is the time with my family. I have all of these things. I don't know the perfect route to get there. I don't know it. I shouldn't know it. That's not my job to know. I leave that to the bigger orchestra. I leave that to my flow. You compose that for me. You look at all of my available opportunities right now, piece them together so it most closely fits how I'm feeling and who I am. My job is to stay active in who I am, how I'm feeling. Flo's job is to respond to that continuously, second by second, minute by minute, day by day, year by year, and to insert those things that I need to fulfill my desires. My job is not to question those, not to say, oh, I don't want that one. I'll take this one, but not that one. Flo says no, you asked. You always talk about going big summer. You always talk about getting beyond fear. Well, we've got a doozer for you. We're gonna help you do just that. It's doing that. It's doing so much more, you know, in the Coming months, I'll relate more and more of what's happening to me. Obviously, I can't stuff it all into one podcast. It's been interesting too, because most of you know about ME School. That's the manifesting plus empathic intuition year long program that I master with my students. And it's been fascinating for them to absorb this information, to use it as a point of contrast in their own lives. Here their teacher is saying, I've got cancer. Watch me go through it. Right? If I'm doing this and I'm still out here sharing with you and directing you and guiding you, please take a look at all the things you're resisting. I want you to compare them. I want you to contrast them. It's been really, really powerful. So you know, by extension you listening to this podcast, please do the same thing. Embrace. Get into the feeling, the emotion. I embrace. I embrace, right? That emotion strips away everything that's holding you back. Everything. So think about that. We're going to go to a quick break. When we come back, lots and lots of calls today and as usual, we'll wrap up the end of our show with a Flow Dream about embracing. I want you to feel yourself embracing that nastiest thing that you can think of that's on your plate and will transform it. Stay with me. I'll be right back after this.

We've got Maybelline in New Jersey. Hey, Maybelline.
Hi.
How are you? I'm wonderful. How are you?
Good.
Tell me what's on your mind.
Wish you the best in your healing.
Thank you.
With procrastination, I think, is a big one for me and I'm not sure why I do it.
Yeah. What are you procrastinating around? Let's start with something meaty.
Well, I'm currently unemployed and I know what I don't want to do with my life, which is go back into that administrative office type of environment. Doesn't work well for me.
Right.
And I guess I'm really unsure, like, what my next step should be. I'm thinking something with healing. I do reiki. I'm not 100% sure on that either.
Yeah. The reason I'm asking you the particular area so we're going to focus on career and work and life purpose, is that procrastination is always, always a symptom. It's never the real root of things. It's the result of some other deeper, emotional, energetic mindset going on in you. Procrastination is basically just stalling out. It's saying, I am unable to make a decision, therefore I will do nothing and I will wait and I will see what the universe hands me next.
Yeah, I feel really comfortable there.
Yeah.
I've been doing that for so long, you know, wait. It'll just show up for me. But that doesn't seem to work really well when.
Exactly. When you flow, drain, There are points where you need to slow down and listen and there are points when you need to speed up and act. But it's like something gets a little off kilter in us sometimes. You know, something happens along the way, something breaks and we reach a point where we say, no, I'm afraid to make that decision. What if I do and it's the wrong one? What if I end up where I was before? What if I make the wrong choice and nothing happens? What if I lose money? What if. Right.
That's another big one for me, the whole being wrong. You know.
That'S exactly why I'm calling it up for you, because I can feel that in you. You are. It's like you mentioned, all the office work you're so resistant to going back to that and so unsure of what else you should be doing that it felt safer to do nothing. But what happens is, as you do nothing, you start to realize, I'm going to hit a wall. I'm going to hit a wall. I see the wall coming. I'm going to hit a wall. Unemployment's running out, my savings are dwindling. I'm hitting a wall. And you lead yourself into a point of emotional panic, which will ultimately send you right back in to those office admin jobs. You say, I'll take anything. I'm desperate. I'm desperate. Right. It's a really typical route that people take. You don't want to take it?
No, I don't.
I can't do that again. Yeah. So you're doing the right thing by obviously, you know, getting clarity, getting advice. If I were you, I've got my eyes closed. I'm looking in you, I'm feeling you. You have already identified. You like healing. You like Reiki. There are more things that you like, and you should be at this point aggressively. And I know aggressive is like scary, scary sounding word, but I'm saying it because I want you to at least come 50% of the way. If I said moderate, you'd be like, I'll do a little bit, but if I say aggressive, then you'll do moderate for me. I want you to be coming up with a list of actions. Right. You go into your flow and you say flow. I feel a new career for me. I'm actually eager to get into it because you want to remind yourself, it's not that I don't want to work. I'm eager to get into it. See, right there, that just pulled a little piece of you. You're like, well, wait a minute. No, actually, I'm not eager to work. You are eager to work. Let your flow know that you're just not eager to work the work that you're thinking of working, and that's what you're giving your flow right now. So you need to start saying, I'm eager to work the work I want and that I will love. Start generating that emotion now. Flow's getting that from you. The next thing you're feeling is, and I'm actively exploring. I'm aggressively exploring. Maybe I would do this, maybe I'd like to do that, maybe this, maybe that. How about this? How about that? Now, this goes beyond just surfing the Internet for like two days going, yeah, identifying things you like. You have to always take the next step with it. And I'm going to call them and I'm going to send this resume and I'm going to. And I'm going to. Now, here's the part where your fears fly up. Well, what if I get something I don't really want? What if I get something that's not good for me? The answer to that is let it happen. Don't be afraid of that. You will get some things that don't work for you that aren't good for you. That's fine. Let it happen. You still stay in the driver's seat. You can still say no, but you want your flow to start giving you stuff. You want to be able to have these choices in front of you. You feeling me?
I am. I am, yes.
Yeah.
It makes a whole lot of sense. Yeah, yeah.
It's really no risk. See, what we've done is we've just reduced all the anxiety and all the risk out of it. You're still in the driver's seat. You can easily say no. And when you finally get to the point where you have to say yes, you will have made enough decisions along the way that you know your yes is truly a solid yes. Now, this is a mindset, an emotional, energetic mindset that you have to stay in as you move through the process. That's the trickiest thing when you do it by yourself. It's harder when you do it with a friend or an accountability partner or as part of a team or a class, it's a lot easier. So you need to find a friend or someone who can keep you in this mindset. Can you do that?
I do. I have that.
Someone good. Okay. So the last thing I want to do with you before I let you go is just zing up some energy for you. Okay. It's like a little jump start. I just saw a picture of a little cap gun, you know, like kids use. Like bam, bam, bam. Sound like my mom. Like, you just need a little boom, boom. You need a little shake up, right? Little jump start. All right, so close your eyes with me. Deep breath. And we're bringing up in you a feeling right now. I'm excited to do this and I'm eager to do this because what I'm doing is absolutely, completely different than everything else I've been doing until now. I don't even know how it's different, but it is and it feels different. I am excited about waking up and stretching and putting my feet over the side of the bed and thinking, I'm going to get up. I'm Going to take my shower. Then I'm getting to work. And I'm so excited about this. Oh, my God. There is so much potential. I look at this work, and I just think, I could do so much with this. I could go so far with this. I could be paid so well with this. It could just be exactly what I want. Wow. I just. I love this. And I look back on those days when I hardly wanted to get up, and I feel kind of bad for myself. I just think, what a waste. What a waste of those days, those months of my life. Ah. But I forgive myself for that. It's okay. It's what I had to do to get here. I forgot. I forgot what that hope feels like. But now I remember. I remember now. And I remember that I'm good enough for this. I'm remembering that I can have this, that somebody will want me to do this. Someone will see in me that I am ready and right for this. And they will pluck me out. They will pick me out and say, you are perfect. I'm remembering that about myself because I am that way. I am. Now you open your eyes.
Wow.
Now we threw a little extra. Yeah. In the end. Because that little bit, that little insecurity popped up in you. I felt it. And I had to remind you, you just. That's. That's just the result of where you've been for a while, but it's not really you. Yeah.
And I saw, like, this incredible bluish purple light in my third eye, and I knew. Oh, it's. It's not real. I can just forget about that. And resistance. Yeah. And it kind of moved me past it. That's wonderful. Thank you so much.
You're welcome. Maybelline. So that is your plan? That's your little template. Work it. You don't need to do any more than that. Just exactly that. Okay.
Thank you so much.
You're welcome. Thanks for calling. Take care.
Bye.
I almost said love you. I tell everybody I love them anymore, right? Love you. I love you. I love you. Tell everybody. I tell my. My. My daughter's, you know, school, friends, parents. And they look at me, like, really? Like, yeah, I do.
I don't know.
Cancer does that to you. I still love everybody. I love being alive. I love my work. I love everybody. Okay. Regina Santa Rosa. How are you? Hello.
Thank you for taking my call.
Oh, you're so welcome. What's up in your life? What's going on in your flow?
The flow around money and financial stability. But it's not just the lack of the flow. It's the feelings of shame, and I'm not doing it right, and there's something wrong. You know, it's so. It's both. It's like the lack of flow, but then even more so how to embrace those feelings.
Okay, let's start with shame, because that's a nice, juicy emotion. What's going on that's made you feel shame, that's made you feel bad about yourself, about your money, your work.
That I've tried really hard with things, and they just stay in my own business as a healer and a coach, and it's not produced results. So I feel like I've done something wrong.
You know, for every one thing that goes right, about nine things go wrong, Right?
Yeah, Right.
This show is about resistance. So the nine things that go wrong, so what? So what if you feel shame about that? I should feel tremendous shame. Terrible shame. Right. The first business I started, I went 30,000 in debt and had to close. Terrible shame. But I don't. You shouldn't either. I mean, just, you know, from a mental point of view, everything you've done until now has been an experience. You haven't yet fallen into the groove of the right tools, the right direction, the right information. You couple that with this feeling in you of now. I'm feeling more and more that, why should I try the next thing? Because I don't want to do it again and fail again. Right. So this is a slowing down. You're like a train. You feel to me like you're slowing down and you're gonna halt, you're gonna stop. If you haven't already. Don't do that. You can't. What happens then is you end up in a holding pattern in your life. And I see people who stay there for years. In fact, Maybelline, she's in that holding pattern. You don't need that experience. You can be an amazing coach, an efficient coach. You can have a thriving and healthy company, a thriving, healthy business. You can say inside yourself as a coach, I'm still growing and learning, and my thriving, healthy business is what is teaching me. It's growing me. So if I do something and it doesn't work out, I go, interesting. It's interesting. Work out. Hey, Flo, can you give me something that will work out? Because I really want to have that experience. I'm really bored of all of these experiences, of it not working out for me. Right.
Yeah.
So could you, like, up level that emotion from shame into boredom? So bored of this?
Yes, I can.
You're Bored. You're ready for the next step. Okay, so if I were to flow with you, and I will right now. Close your eyes with me.
Okay.
Deep breath. Releasing, relaxing. Remember, your flow is this beautiful line. It's like a line of alignment. It's like the prism of light that shoots out from a crystal. Straight, focused, beautiful. This is you. You're moving into your future. You are going into tomorrow and next month and next year. You can't avoid it, so you're going to embrace it. And you're embracing the fact. I'm a coach, I'm a healer. I clarify, I help. I'm good at this, and I deeply desire to get better at this. And to do that, I need the clients and the students that will help me get better at it. And I need the instruction and the guidance. I need to be able to follow through on those things that I learn. I need to not get distracted by the 15 different things people tell me to do. I need to just focus on those one or two, and I need to learn to do them very, very well. And I will do them over and over until I can do them very, very well. And then I'll leap into all the others. So the overwhelm that I've been feeling, all those things that I should be doing that I haven't done, all those things that I've tried a little bit that didn't work out, I look at that as a whole other paradigm. I used to do that. That's how I used to think. I had to build things. But I've completely let go of that. I release it right now in me. I feel it just whooshing out of me, just washing out of me. I don't do it like that. I'm going to do it very different. And as I do it differently, I know flow is going to reward me. And I can feel those students stepping up. I can feel those clients stepping up. And they're saying to me, help me. I've picked you because even if you don't know that you can do it, I know that you can do it. I feel it. So trust me. Trust your clients. They know you can do it. They're going to pick you. And you say, I can do that. All I need to do is make sure that they see me, make sure they can find me, make sure they can feel me and hear me and hear my authentic voice, hear my strong voice. I've stopped giving them my strong voice because of my own insecurity in there. So I'm going to find that strong voice in me again, and I'm going to reach them. I feel it. Okay, you can open your eyes. Let that go. So we could do so much more. Honestly, I really could have kept going because as I said one thing, something else would rise up in you and respond. And then another and another. You could kind of see. It was like a little chain reaction happening in there. That last little bit, giving them your strong voice. You really need to focus on that. Okay. You know what I'm talking about.
I do.
Okay. They will show up for you. They will. And all those things that have been distracting you that you're not doing, you're not doing good enough. Let go of those. You don't need all of those. And by that, I mean all the different marketing pieces and etc. Etc. You've gotten yourself a bit confused, and I think that's part of it. A little bit of overwhelm. Okay.
Thank you so much.
All right, Regina, thanks for your call. Take care. Oh, it makes me want to work with all of you guys even more longer. It's like, okay, and here's what you have to do next. And then. And then, and then I create blueprints for people's lives. Have you noticed? That's my job. That's what I've evolved into. Here is where you're going. Here's where you've been. This is what you need to release. This is what you need to add in. This is how you need to start responding to your flow. For her, it was interesting. The embracing came up, right? Embrace, embrace. If you don't embrace, you end up sagging and sinking. I could easily be doing that in my life right now. Easily. I could say, this is totally overwhelming for me. I don't. I look at my life and I say, where do I need to adjust it? And here's the real clinker, right? If I haven't built my life where I can make those adjustments when I need to, then I have built it wrong. And this is giving me an opportunity to see that. Fortunately for me, I'm discovering I've actually built my life pretty damn well because I am able to make these adjustments. I am able to step back from 50% of my work activities. I am able to now integrate all of the internal and deep healing. I am able to integrate the new information flow is giving me about health and body and healing. I am able to go into that student mode in 30% of my time. I've done well with it. This is something you gradually start to see as you move forward into this flow life, Flow way of being, you recognize I build my life. How have I built it? Have I built it in a way that gives me all the things I need from goes way beyond the job and the car and the baby and the husband or wife. Way beyond it. Quick break. When we get back, I think we have time for more calls and of course we're going to do a fabulous Flow dream. So stay with me right after this.

Now back to the show.
That little break reminded me there is a playlist I would suggest for any of you who want to embrace your resistance, to turn it on its head, to look it in the face and say, I'm not going to hate you. I'm going to love you. Because obviously you're my next step. That's the Beyond Fear playlist. Look it up. It's there@flowdreaming.com beyond fear. And it's really excellent for learning how to love up what you need to do. The other one, of course, would be Ready to Go Big. Ready to Go Big. Actually, you know what? I think I changed the name. Darn. It may not be called Beyond Fear anymore. I think I integrated it into the Ready to Go Big playlist. Yes, I did. Okay, so get that one. The Ready to Go Big playlist. It contains Beyond Fear. It also contains a couple others that will push you out of your holding zone and get you to that place where you realize, hey, I'm going to do this. I've got this. It wouldn't be in my life if it weren't my next step. That's the single biggest thing I want you to remember. It wouldn't be in my life if it wasn't my next step. Hope you wrote that down. Okay, let's go ahead and get to Evelyn in Arizona. Hey, Evelyn.
Hi. How are you?
I'm wonderful. How about you?
I'm good.
Good, good. What's up?
Oh, I was just wondering about career and finances once again, too all right.
So what's going on in your career and finances? Are you working? Do you want to work?
Well, I've got a couple things going on. I am working, but I was looking for a part time job to go along with it. But I'm also thinking the part time job just for a while so I can get my stuff together and see if I can start something up on my own.
Okay, so you have in mind a transitional plan for yourself.
Mm.
Okay, that's, that's how it looks to me. The transitional plan is I'm going to do whatever kind of work I have to do to be able to support, or I would say float my true passion, my true calling. What is your true calling?
I was thinking of opening up a coffee shop.
Oh, how fun. I used to work in a coffee shop 20 something years ago. I made a mean double cappuccino. Okay, so to open up the shop, what are your resources right now? Zero.
Yes.
Okay. Okay. So you're at the point where you're covering your daily expenses, right? Just plain living. And you're needing to grow a little pool of income, a pool of money to open up the shop. This is a case where I would go into flow. So close your eyes with me. We'll do this together. Relaxing. Feeling yourself, feeling your future, feeling your flow. It's like looking at a blank projector screen right now. An old fashioned movie reel is starting to play. You see that beam of light? That's you. It's what's happening next. And now that projector is speeding up and it's really starting to hum. We're increasing your energy right now. You are not just kind of clopping along. You are a modern projector. Now you're going fast. You're digital. It's looking beautiful. The screen is coming into absolute sharp, crystal clear focus. And what do you see yourself doing? You see yourself working and you're happy. You're liking the part time work. You're saying, I can do this, this is alright. I can definitely handle this. This is covering me. It's not only just covering me. I've got a little surplus coming in. I can feel myself. I'm tucking away those hundreds each month. There's a few more, there's a few more. There's surpluses everywhere. The surplus is piling up around your feet. It's like you're a little girl stomping in the leaves in the autumn. Except that those leaves are all that money just piling up around you. And now you're passing by A store window. And you're saying, that is my shop. There's my shop. There's my cafe. It's right there. I can feel it. I can feel myself breathing life into it. Now, you know, I need some things to get you going. And right now I'm looking at money, capital, startup expenses. I'm looking at that. And I've been feeling like, oh, that's a big block, because it's the biggest one. It seems the hardest. No, no, I'm going to pull back from that. I don't have any resistance to receiving that. There's no part of my mind that thinks how difficult that will be. All of me is embracing the challenge, embracing it. I'm embracing the feeling of who do I need to talk to? Who do I know who'd want to partner with me? Who do I know? Who could I reach out to? Who do I know who would know somebody? What bank is there? What are my options? Flow. And now you're reaching out to flow. You're saying, I can only think of so many things based on what I now know. I really need you to start offering me more. I need more options. I need more ways for this money to flow in. Because I've made a decision that it can and will flow in. I've left that point in my mind where I used to say, maybe it'll flow in. I don't know if it'll flow in. If I'm lucky, it'll flow in. There's a good chance it won't flow in. I left that. It's behind me. It's way back. It's further back in the movie. It's already been played. That was way gone. Now it's a question of, there are so many ways that this shop could open. So many ways the shop could open. And I know I'm part of them. I'm a piece of this. And I'm so curious. How will it come together if I show up for this? If I'm fully there and present, how will it come together? And I'm staying in this mindset today and tomorrow, and I'm feeling it. And flow. This is the way we're talking from now on, every day until I start to see the signs, the turning post. It's like taking a walk. For a while, I know what it looks like, but then I start to see things that are unfamiliar. I start to enter a new landscape outside of my usual. That's when I know this is working, this is working. And with that, you open your eyes. So Evelyn you know what I really sensed right in the middle of that?
Mm.
You have a lack of belief. You have got a little resistance that you will have the finances, that you'll have the ability. The I don't know how part has grown so big inside you that it's resisting the I receive part. Okay. It's got to be corrected.
Okay.
Sound good? Can you do it? Can you do it?
Well, I believe I can do it.
Excellent. All right, Take care, my dear. Good luck.
Okay, same.
Bye now. And with that, we've just got a couple of minutes to go into our flow dream. So cue up the music and let's get this going. Everyone, eyes closed, please. Remember, flow dreaming is not meditation. I don't want you to blank out. I don't want you to relax. I want your body to relax. But I want your emotional self to get really keen and focused. I want you to feel this in every fiber. I want it to just choke you in a good way. Like I'm getting choked up with emotion, with feeling. This is you communicating. And you feel yourself right now. You are looking at that thing that you've been resisting. Go ahead. Put it right there in front of you. Let's not beat around the bush. It's right there. You can find yourself in any kind of space. Maybe you're just in a beautiful, white, shimmering cloud. Cloud like space. A silvery room in heaven. And there it is, the resistance. And maybe it takes a form or a shape. Maybe it's an illness or a feeling of despair. Maybe it's depression. Maybe it's divorce. Whatever it is, let it be there. And you realize as you look at it that if you just stare at it, if you resist it, if you reject it, you're putting the. A lot of force out. It's like a constant force field of energy. You're having to push it, push it, push it, deny it, reject it. Anger. Oh, boy. No wonder we feel so worn out. Maybe we don't want to do that. So take that rejection, take that resistance right now, and put your hands right in the middle of it like you're going to peel it open, like you're going to crack it open like it's a banana skin peeling down, and just peel that resistance away. Feel that energy just flying off your fingers in other directions. And behind it there is the thing you resist. But it looks different, feels different. It's open, it's raw, it's sensitive. And now you're saying to it, you're my next step. I'm embracing you now. Now I'm embracing you. I'm going to love you. I know that might sound crazy, but I'm gonna do it. I'm going to love you. No matter how you look on the outside, no matter how bad you feel, I'm just going to love you. You're in my life. You're in my life. I haven't been able to dislodge you from my life, so I'm going to embrace you. And as you do, this thing melts. You see it shrink? See it getting smaller? Do you see it changing? You have changed the game. You've completely changed the battle. It's not a battle. You've walked over to the other side and extended your hand. And this Resistance responds. It says, now we can do something. Now we can move through this. Here is what I need to show you. Here is why I've been here. Here is why I'm present in your life. Here it is. Gosh. Where? I'm so glad that you finally walked over. Resistance is saying that to you. You think I've liked being here? You think I've liked doing this? No. But now we can move through it, and we do. Do you feel that melting? All the snow melting on the ground, all the rain evaporating in the sun. You've done it. You've done it. And with that, you open your eyes and you return. So we just did a little exercise in reconfiguring your emotional, energetic self. We did it in Flow. Something important. So my love goes to you all. I will be back again next week for another live episode of Flow Dreaming. Until then, I'll see you all next time.
