#472 How You REALLY Use Law of Attraction (What They Don’t Tell You)
8 Sept 2015 · 43 min
Summer McStravick argues that Law of Attraction works through emotion and alignment, not distant attraction. She walks through visualization, meditation, and journaling, then answers callers about money manifesting and feeling safe with abundance before guiding a Flow Dreaming practice.

Flow Dreaming. It's a show where we talk about the power of your mind to change your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. You are so amazing. I can't thank you enough. Breathe. It is the feeling that you bring forward. It is your emotional connection that really sets the tone for what is going to be happening to you and for you. And you know that feeling when you touch it, it just spreads through you. Thank you for taking my call. I don't know why I feel like crying. I think I just feel your love. Of course. And I think I'm gonna get some ANSWERS. I'm Summer McStravik, and welcome to another episode of Flow Dreaming. Welcome to Flow Dre. Before we get started, a really quick note. If you found this show on itunes or by downloading the Flow Dreaming podcast app, it would mean so much if you took a moment to review it. That is how other people will find this show and get the same great value out of it that I hope you're getting. So my huge thanks and sparkles and Flow, go to all of you who just take that few moments to go write a quick little message of telling other people. This is good. Go listen. Thanks. Now off we go to the show. Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Flow. Welcome to Flow dreaming. I'm Summer McStravic, where we explore all kinds of wacky and fun and fascinating and powerful and up leveling ideas about who you are, what you can do, how you can completely remake yourself, remodel your life, become what you want to become. I use some pretty awesome tools for this, one of which is the title of this podcast, Flow Dreaming. And that's what we pretty much do here every Tuesday for the last 10 years. So if you found the show on itunes and you say, oh, wait, I only see, like, 30 episodes, well, I gotta tell you, the other 400 are in the premium archives because it does take a bit of upkeep to support that many shows. So fortunately, it's only $3 a month, and you can go and unlock those and listen to as many as you want, download what you want to listen to. It's fabulous. Okay, we have a good topic today. It's Law of Attraction. And I haven't spoken on this in a while, and it made me think, you know, I think it's time to take a look, because Law of Attraction is one of those terms that is infinitely popular and equally misunderstood, misinterpreted. It's really a term, a phrase. Well, you know, like love, right? How many variations are there? Drives me crazy that we don't use the full category of words for love. We just lump it all together. No wonder we often get so confused in our relationships, right? It's like, well, are we talking about this kind of love or that kind of love? So we're going to pull apart Law of Attraction and especially I want to compare and contrast it to Flow Dreaming. So you have a very solid understanding of how it's alike, how it's different. So let's launch into that. Of course, we're also going to get to some calls today, like I always try to do. This podcast is taped live every Thursday as a live radio broadcast from 12 to 1pm Pacific Standard Time. And that means that I'm able to accept calls and I can demonstrate flow with you. Look into your own life, look empathically into you, your friends and partners and neighbors. We can straighten things out, tweak the energies, if you will. So we'll do a little of that and we'll also go ahead and do some flow dreaming together as we progress. So let's start with Law of Attraction and caveat. Before I go any further, I know all of you have your own interpretations of Law of Attraction coming in, right? It's like the word God. We all have a very big built up understanding. So if I irritate you, upset you, if you're saying no, you really have it wrong. Summer, just give me some grace for this hour because I'm obviously not going to speak to everyone's individual concept of Law of Attraction. I'm going to take the concept that I know, that I have learned through my many years of working with many, many beautiful and brilliant teachers on this subject. That said, it still may be different than yours. So let's just set aside what we know and start to play with ideas and ways of looking at things that we haven't looked at before, right? That is the point of growth, to see yourself embracing things you haven't accepted, thought of or understood before. So Law of Attraction, it is kind of like this phrase, this concept. I was thinking it's kind of like a phrase from the Bible, right? It's almost a holy phrase, a phrase that explains the way things work on an extremely fundamental level. So if you were to pull out the phrase, do unto others as you'd have them do unto you, right? Golden Rule. That's the phrase, that's the concept. And then you have about 100,000 people over the world even more, preaching, sermonizing, explaining, interpreting what this means. So you take one fundamental idea with a hundred thousand different ways of interpreting it, explaining it, understanding it. You can see already how this one idea has probably taken on a thousand different colors, a hundred thousand different variations. The same is true of Law of Attraction. There's this concept we all agree on, but the interpretation has mingled and spread through hundreds, if not thousands of teachers worldwide, all putting it into the paradigm of their own worldview, for one, their cultural worldview. So this is where you end up with teachers teaching the Law of Attraction, but from these wildly different viewpoints or with completely different programs or completely different tools that are used to develop this Law of Attraction in your life. The Law of Attraction, to get to the first point, requires certain tools to develop flow. Dreaming is a tool in service of a larger idea. Sort of like Law of Attraction, but I've called it flow Thinking. I probably should come up with a catchier phrase. So if you think of Law of Attraction like that, what does the general kernel, the nugget of it, really tell us? Well, it often focuses on thought, the power of thought. Think and grow rich. Right? Napoleon Hill. These ideas that what you think is what you become. The science of mind, New thought. Louise Hay. Affirmations, right? There's a lot of thought reprogramming going on. The idea being that you are what you think you are what you think, and what you think you then become. Therefore, if those are both true, then you attract what you are. Right? That's the attracting piece. That's the law. The law is that you attract what you are and you become what you are through how you're thinking, right? Can you deconstruct that? A +B equals C, right? You are what you think, what you think is what you become, and therefore C, you attract what you become. That is the law. Right? And I have no problem with it. I don't. I just want to add something to that. I want to add something that I feel is extremely fundamental. You know what? I'm going to go out and stand on it. I feel it's more fundamental, which is a big thing to say, because I realize I'm going up against some great minds. But I think there's something even more important, even more fundamental than thought, and that's emotion. And that's where we move into the concept of flow. Before we go there, let me keep sort of, you know, piecing Apart what this law of attraction is, people, again, like I said, use tools to try to make those three statements become true. Well, how do I change my thinking? How do I attract things? How do I change who I am? So all of the teachers, all of the interpreters, all of the preachers and the sermonizers, you know, if you listen to Joel Osteen, he teaches many law of attraction principles. This isn't something that's limited to just new thought or science of mind. It is a common theme that you'll find wound through many religions, all cultures. What are some of the tools that we use? So obviously religion, traditional religion, is going to use prayer, right? Prayer. I'm thinking this. If I'm putting my thought here, and then they would say, putting your heart here, which is getting close to emotion. Don't you love that? Then you're going to somehow become that. It will happen for you. It will be attracted to you. You will have earned it or deserved it. Okay, prayer. One of the tools, other tools that you might encounter in the world of loa, right? We're going to call it loa visualization, right? All of those thoughts of, you know, your mind, movies, your creative visualization. See detailed pictures, develop it, give it some solidity, right? Don't let it be just abstract terms in your head. Now you're seeing yourself in your dream house. You're seeing yourself embraced by this person and you know what they look like and they're your dream partner. Visualization, right? Take some imagination, creativity, some thought. Another technique, mindfulness meditation, right? Mindfulness meditation. Meditation, yes, can be classically used to clear the mind, to enter into a state of Zen, to enter in a state of pure connection, emptiness, you know, absolutely giving up all desire. It can also be used, if you've ever done a Google search for this. You can also meditate for money. You can meditate for, you know, a happy love life. You can meditate to get over an illness. You can meditate. You can meditate with the intention of creating, of attracting, of bringing to you. In other words, it's like thinking, but it's meditation style. Thinking, right? There's a twist. It's a little different. It's a tool. Hypnosis, another frequent tool used in law of attraction, hypnosis, being I am going to subconsciously think, not consciously think. I'm subconsciously working through thought, working through stored memory, working through the images, working through the feelings, working through the thoughts and associations that have all patterned together inside of me. That's a tool used in service of Creating things inside yourself and things in your life that you are attracting. How about tapping? Right. Thought about that as being in service of Law of Attraction. Yes. Tapping often involves a lot of healing. You're saying, I see a pattern, I'm going to tap it out, I'm going to see a pattern, I'm going to tap it out. Right. You're consciously thinking of the pattern. You're using tapping. You're using a physical, a tactile approach that you're hoping will trigger and release some emotion. Right. It's a beautiful combined sort of process. It's used for what end? Because you're trying to create something different in yourself. You're trying to create something different so that you can attract something different, so you can be something different what you think you become and then you attract what you become. Right. So tapping is your way of saying, this is how I'm changing what I'm becoming so that then I can now attract what I've become. Abraham Hicks. Classic, beautiful. Their emotional scale work. They have so many little processes and tools used in service of Law of Attraction. A lot of those are emotion based. Flow Dreaming has much in common with the Abraham Hicks model. Their toolbox for bringing Law of Attraction into your life. Loa. I already mentioned buying movies. Vision boarding, right? Vision boards, those are again classic ways. What are you doing? You're taking your thoughts, you're taking your creativity, you're actualizing it onto paper. Now it's solid, now it's not going anywhere. Now it's not floating. You see it every time you see it, you're absorbing it. You're changing your thinking by this repetitive continuous glancing at this material. I use vision boards a little differently. They're a tool that I also use in the flow drumming paradigm. I call them energy anchor boards. We have a slightly different use, a different purpose for them, but they're classic for a tool for loa. Journaling. Right? Journaling. Think of journaling as almost like tapping. It's a way of physically letting loose through the hand, you know, like free writing. I'm writing out my patterns, I'm releasing them, it's just coming out through my fingers. Well, even tapping is coming out through your fingers. Isn't that an interesting connection? But journaling, big way of us saying, here's what I'm changing, here's what I'm thinking, first of all. And now that I'm changing this thinking, it's changing who I am, what I'm becoming. And now I'm going to attract what I have Became. See, it's all fitting back into this three step process. Every one of these tools, and then there's any combination of above and brilliant teachers will have figured out new tools, new ways of accessing this, of giving you a way in, a door in. And it's up to you to figure out which of these work best for me. Which do I like, which do I respond to, which am I, you know, my personality, my character, what am I made for? That's how you figure it out. It's not that if you do three of them, they are the best and the others just suck. It's more like, well, those are your top three and someone over there has a different set of top three. They're all valid means, they're all methods and ways because they've all risen to a certain kind of validity in the world through repeated use, through thousands, millions of people, sometimes practicing them. Okay, now, flow dreaming, is it a tool that you use in service of Law of Attraction? Does it stand a little outside of Law of Attraction? Let's get into that. Ooh, I'm really enjoying the show. Okay, Flow dreaming does change you from the inside out. Flow dreaming changes what you are on a fundamental level from your energy, your spiritual self, your emotional self, your physical self, your flow self, all of it. And yes, as you change that, you attract it. But here's where one of the crucial differences come in. Attraction for me is a deeply flawed word. Attraction implies distance. I'm here, it's there. I need to somehow get it to see me. Hello. Hi, I'm over here. Come here. I've done the work. Notice me now. I don't see life like that. I don't see flow like that. Flow is an interconnected web of constantly evolving information, constantly becoming, erupting into the next thing, you included. What you want is truly not out there at a distance. I want you to get rid for a moment, suspend this idea that time is a thing, distance is a real thing. This is a material viewpoint that's a trap. And unfortunately we're born into it. We're biological beings. It's hard to see outside of it. We can conceptually grasp the idea, often for a few moments, and then it slips out of our hand. Probably physicists have the best ability to grasp these kinds of concepts, what it's like to live outside of time or space, you know, all of the things, all the ways that that would profoundly affect you. What would you be like? Well, you would be so different, not just without a physical body, you'd understand that there's no distance between anything anymore. You can't have distance. If you had distance, then it would mean you had to have time. Because it takes 1, 2, 3 minutes to go from this side of the table to that side of the table. If you're a little ant, right? But we don't have distance, therefore we don't have time. Therefore we don't attract anything. We don't need to what we are. We are. You become it. You are it. You become it. You become it. You're now in alignment with whatever it is you're seeking. No distance. It also means there's no reward or punishment involved. There's no. If I only learn this lesson, then I will get that. If I only stop sinning, then I will get that. If I'm only forgiven, then I will get that. All of these parameters that used to be there, things you had to do in order to be responded with like that and Flow dreaming. If you can become that thing, you align to that thing. And when you're in alignment with that thing, it's like everything veering off to surround you now to support what you are. It's natural. It's natural. And that's where this concept, law of attraction and slow dreaming are both sort of attempting to explain a natural phenomena which is you align to what you are. Alignment is a much stronger word in my world than attracts. Because attract for me feels like it's not here, it's over there and I've got to reel it in. Alignment is I'm either in it or I'm out of it. There's no distance. If I'm out of it, it simply means I'm in some other alignment. Right. I'm not actually just floating without any alignment to anything. No, I'm just in some other alignment. And that other alignment is one that got me a parking ticket that got me the broken eggs. When I got home from the store, I'm like, oh, I don't want to be in that alignment. Wait a minute, let's make the shift. Let's move back into the flow alignment that I feel most comfortable in. That I am, that is my essence. Let's get into that alignment. Ah, okay, I'm there. Now the world can respond to me with beautiful eggs that all have double yolks with no parking ticket. In fact, I pulled up right in front of where I was going first. First row parking. That's the alignment that I want to be in. So how does flow dreaming create this? Because yes, now it does sound just like Manifesting, Law of attraction. Essentially another word for manifesting. Okay, so you now have flow dreaming as a tool. Here's another way that it's different. Flow dreaming really doesn't give a damn about thought. Really doesn't. Thoughts are helpful because they explain things together. If you're looking for patterns inside yourself, thought. Thought is going to be the workhorse that does that for you. That goes, oh, it's because of this or that. Even in my personal sessions with my diamond clients this morning, we were upending some patterns. Do you see how this is connected to that? To that? To that? Right? Thought is what allows you to see the big picture. But you know what's deeper than thought? You know it already. You can answer this before I say it. That moment we commonly refer to as the aha moment. Oh, my God. I just saw something. I just felt something. So fundamental even notice the language we use. It's not I saw. Or excuse me, it's not I thought of something. It's I saw it, I felt it. That's the language of revelation. Revelation. I felt it. That's the emotion. The thought then goes, oh, goody. Figure it out. And then it gets to work and it goes, oh, it's because your mother did this, your dad did this, and then, you know, your stepsister was like that. And that explains why today you work for, you know, this corporation and live in this part of the world. And Thought loves figuring out stuff like that. However, Flow Dreaming works on the emotional core, right? To us, Thoughts are the monkey mind. We share that in common with Buddhist thinking. Thought's the controller. It's the critic. And what we want is Thought's little sister, Emotion. And what do big sisters or big brothers often try to do to little sisters? They try to control them, right? I know what's better for you. Hush up. Stop that. I'm in charge. Well, Flow Dreaming says, no, no, no, no, no. Thought, you are. You are so full of yourself. Talk about ego. You are the most pompous, controlling. Just. Just shut up for a second. That's what our Emotion is saying. And when you listen, you say, oh, but you always get me in trouble. But everyone said, don't cry. Everyone said, stop being such a, you know, emotional mess. Stop. Emotion was always taught for many of us that it was weak. That it was in fact the red headed stepchild. It was the one you didn't trust. It was the one that made you make impulsive decisions. It was. Mm. And we learn to be really cautious. Should we make that impulsive decision Is it gonna turn out to be a great thing or a terrible thing? And every time it's terrible, we go, oh, don't trust, don't trust, don't trust our emotional self. And eventually we stop trusting our intuitive self and it cascades right on down the line. Flow dreaming, however, says emotion is our core and that is why we so strongly have tried to regulate it. It's what society fears the most. They don't fear you all thinking society fears you feeling. Because it's waves of emotion that sway whole countries to riot, to revolt, to protest, to grow. That's why often religions have grown so big. And you know, I'm referring back to the olden days thousands of years ago. Repressive. We need to control you, what you do, how you feel, what's allowed, what's not. Emotion. So in flow dreaming, we look at that completely differently. No, our emotion is what aligns us. And you know what? We can feel it. We never have the intellectual thought, I'm in alignment now. Oh, I'm not in alignment now. There's always a trigger for that thought and that's an emotional circumstance. Something happens that we respond to, we have a feeling about. Emotion is number one, thought is number two. Physical action comes third last. So when we are in flow, we are emotionally connecting with the universe with source. That becomes the core. Different than Law of Attraction. Some Law of Attraction does incorporate some emotional tools. Yes, but generally speaking, it's more the tools that I already outlined for you. But some of them encompass more than one that have some emotional components. Well, tapping, for instance, sometimes creative visualization, your feeling, emotion, though in flow dreaming becomes the number one process that we use. And visualization becomes one of the add ons. It becomes a piece of it. Yes. Give your mind something to do. Let it have fun. Fun. Another distinction. Oh my goodness. We're going to have to go to a break soon, but I would like to get through these first. I want to get through this opening piece here. Another distinction is that flow dreaming integrates us directly with the universe. We actually be in flow. Right. Usually when people talk about Law of Attraction, you don't be in attraction. It's some other point to reach that when you are in flow, you are in perfect, beautiful alignment instead of the universe. Listening like I'm here, it's there. When you're in flow again, there's no distance. What you are feeling, what you are is what is now surrounding you. It's listening in the sense that it is instantly aligning to you. It's Instantly becoming that, right? We have a really good understanding in flow, dreaming of how the universe behaves, how it responds. This is a flow concept. We are the universe, right? We become, we reacknowledge, we recenter into us being in the universe, being part of source, being in that place, right? And once we're there, we realize there's a lot of predictability. It acts like this, it does this. How do I know this? Because I've practiced it enough to see it starting to return to me the same things over and over and over again. Okay? What this means is that as we instantly become what we feel, we embark on a journey of remaking ourselves along a new mold, right? One that we choose every time we're in flow and we are using the technique, we are changing ourselves. We're actually changing who we are. And this change accumulates inside of us as we go forward in flow, in physical, in everything. So our world begins to swirl around us in a very different way. It reshapes itself around us. Notice I'm not attracting anything. I'm actually allowing. I'm allowing the universe to reshape around me. That's an important distinction. We also use a lot of action, intuition, self trust, self healing. There's a lot of other up levelings that occur once you start this process through flow. There's a lot of smaller techniques that I have used that I've been plugging into place over the last decade. The ME school of flow. That's what we do. We start from the premise of really what I just explained, and then we enact it. We change. We sculpt ourselves to be very different people with a very different relationship to our lives, to the people we love and care about, to the people we don't love and care about. We become other people, new people, people we want to be. It's no longer an out there, someday kind of thing. It begins. It just starts. It's like, okay, it's now, let's do this. So, you know, flow dreaming really is a real lifelong concept. It becomes a way that you see the world. It creates a massive sense of power in you, right? It's not just you having to figure out, dang, what do I attract next? You don't ever ask those questions. They're irrelevant. What you become next creates your next step for you. You know that that will be in total alignment with who you are and what you're blossoming because you've already set that up. The structure has already been created. Every day now becomes about fulfillment. Fulfillment, fulfillment. What do I do with this? Because it's come to me. What do I do with this? Because it's come to me. It's so awesome. It's really, really, really, really, really amazing. So that is going to be my wrap up. Do I think it's better than Law of Attraction? Not necessarily. You know, people have created profoundly different lives through meditation, through affirmation. There's many things that have helped people create different lives. I know that for me, for the kind of people who respond, you know, if anything, if what I've been saying over the last half hour is like, oh my God, yes, yes, yes. You're probably, yes. A person who's going to find this worldview, this technique extremely in alignment with you. Pick it up and run with it. But like I said in the beginning, right. You might have a top three here and a top three there. And we're all different. So I can't say it's better, better than I will say it's different than. With a lot of similarities, a lot of overlap. Largely we're both in service of manifesting, of creating, right. Believing this fundamental belief that my life is more than a physical thing. And if I apply non physical means, I create change, right? That is essence of manifesting. Law of Attraction is in service of that principle. So there you go. I hope that was a good clear distinction and version. Yeah. So if this fascinates you, obviously you're already listening to the podcast. If you haven't been to the website, do go visit it. Check out the MI School of Flow for sure. Also try the Shop. The Shop has Flow Dreams where I can tiptoe you into this idea. The practice, highly emotion based, beautifully connective process works pretty instantly for many people with a few exceptions. Right. Because some of us have really been traumatized emotionally. We have learned to hide that, to tuck it in, to quiet it down, to not trust it means you need to do it even more. Right? You need to start taking that ownership over the most powerful part of you. No medication is going to do that for you. Probably no books or reading will do that for you. It's one of those things we have to own at some point in our life. Okay, we're gonna go to a quick break. When we get back, calls, calls, calls, calls. And hopefully I will have some time to wrap up our beautiful time together with a Flow dream. So stay with me.

Now back to the show.
Let's go to Ross from SoCal, Southern California for all of you guys around the world. Hey, Ross, you there?
Yeah, I'm here. I'm here.
What's up? What can I help you with?
Well, I talked to you in February, and I had some really fabulous manifesting since I'm really, really happy about what positive things have happened. But at the same time, I'll call it like an offset. There'll be something that my wife will do that will either wipe out the positive thing or drop it even. Drop it even lower. And you know, what I'm trying to figure out is, am I, you know, am I bringing on some things that, you know, that she's doing? Am I that powerful? Or is, you know, is her negativity, you know, that powerful, or is it just, you know, a coincidence? It's so frustrating to work so hard, things to come in.
Yeah.
Wiped out.
Then the spouse goes and deflects them all. Give me an example of something that we can work with.
My father just retired, and he got more back from his pension than he expected. So he said, you know what? I can give $17,000 gift, which was completely unheard of and great. And then within a week, my wife totaled her car.
Wait, did you say your wife? What? Her car total, then totaled. That's what I thought you said. Okay, Right. Okay. So your feeling is I was just given this fabulous bequest, and then my wife went and effectively spent it. Right. Not intentionally, but it feels like every time I reach a certain level, I am just capped off there because, whoop, out it goes again. Yeah.
Not intentional at all.
Of course not. Of course not. There are multiple answers to this question. I've received it a lot over the years. I can't go through them all, but I can give you a couple that should set your wheels spinning right now. One of them is, we do adopt. Like, I just kind of hinted at these preset levels in our life, comfort levels. I call them our ceilings. Right. And that is, oh, my goodness, we're getting a lot of money. We can finally be released from the stress that we know that is so comfortable and familiar. Even though we hate it, we know it. Right. It's like taking the evil you know versus the evil you don't know or the unknown. When we have feelings like that, you know, one of you can be feeling, yes, yes, yes. And the other is like, oh, this is making me very uncomfortable. Flow is listening. Right. Your life is listening and going, well, let's get them back in a state of comfort. They don't want to get out of the alignment they're in. Right. They don't. They don't really want to. Because why? Because they're expressing an emotion to us right now, which is, ah, this is different. Ah, I don't know. Oh, what if. Ah. And often we don't even know we're doing it. Right. It's so hidden and deep inside of us. That's one explanation. The other explanation is that, you know, even though you're in a partnership, you both have your own flow, you have your own direction, your own destiny. And in a partnership, we want that to overlap as much as possible, but it doesn't always. So your wife may be working through something that says, I always just barely have enough, and if I ever stray from that, I just don't know what to do. So we have money coming in yet, you know, I don't know. I kind of want a new car.
What you're saying makes a lot of sense for our thing that she's used to only having enough and being bailed out of mistakes and things like that.
But I want a new car, but I can't ask for a new car because I really shouldn't have a new car because, you know, that would be a bad thing. Right? So there's a lot of stuff that's swirling around in there. So almost when it's totaled, it's like a gift. It's being taken out of her hands. Right. In her world. I didn't ask for a car. I mean, I was gonna be. I was gonna be okay with, you know, using this one. Right?
Yeah.
So, yeah.
Is there anything that I. That I can do to sort of, like, ward off the whammy?
You know what I would do? I would practice in flow. Close your eyes right now. I am bountiful. I have more than I need. I have more than I need for both of us have more than my wife needs. I don't disturb her with my abundance. I don't disturb her with my abundance. Right. So now you're slyly wiggling around that you can be. You can Have a lot of money, but it's not going to disturb her equilibrium. And when she changes her equilibrium, when she reaches the point where she's like, yeah, I want some of that abundance too, and I'm not going to let go of it this time, you'd be like, honey, step in with me. Until then, I will be the container for it. I will hold it and it will not disturb you. Right. This is not the same as being selfish and creating secret bank accounts. It's an energy standpoint. So you flow on that feeling and you repeat this every day. Practice deepens it. Okay. Yeah. Thanks for your call, Ross. Very good question. Take care. All right. Oops, he didn't get to say goodbye. I think we clipped him off there. That's okay. Let's go to Marth. Oh, wait. No, wait, Alana. She's been waiting longer. I'm so sorry, Martha. Alana in Edmonton. Alana, how are you? Hey. Have we spoken?
No, we haven't.
Ah, you feel familiar to me about.
A week ago and I absolutely adore and appreciate your work. I've read your book now and I bought a couple of flow dreams and love.
Did you email me?
No.
You didn't?
No.
Well, I know you and I don't know how it will bother me for until I figure it out. What's up on your mind?
Well, this kind of goes on what your last caller was saying. In my life, I've come very close to success. I've made a lot of money and then I've lost it. I've had a couple of marriages to very wealthy men who were very cheap and didn't share it. So I've been close to money but.
Never really in it.
And I just started a new business as a life coach two months ago and I don't want to muck it up. And when I go into flow dreaming and I try to imagine this feeling of abundance, my stomach clenches and I don't know how to get into it because I've never experienced it.
I think. Yeah.
So how do I imagine something that I've never experienced?
I want you to get safe with it. Okay? So close your eyes with me right now. We're going to practice this emotional state. And of course you know how to bring that into flow. The emotional state is my abundance grows, my income grows and I feel very safe with it growing. I'm not disturbed by it growing, not afraid of it growing. If it grows, I'm not going to be fearful that it will go away, it will stay and I'M willing and I'm committed. I'm giving myself to the process of receiving this. I'm giving myself to the process of receiving it. All of me. I'm going to embrace it. I'm going to take it in. It's not going to hurt me. It's not going to scare me. And I know this feels strange because it's like, what? I never thought money would hurt me, but you're going to go into a different head space. You're going to go into a different lifestyle, and these are all things that pop up. What if my friends change? What if my family starts to get jealous and angry and they don't, you know, what if people start thinking I'm all about the money? What if I'm not a very good life coach? And what if I don't? You know, it's like all this stuff will come up, and we think it's just about, you know, the dollars, but it's not. So the income that's coming in is serving you. It's creating safety. You trust it? I trust the income coming in. I trust that I'm good at what I do. I trust that I deserve this, that the people who are giving this money are doing it because I'm actually giving them something of an immense value. Immense, immense value. See, we've. I've hit on, like, a dozen themes. Several of them sort of struck chords with you. Mm. So that's the main one, though, in your flow. I'm safe with this. I'm embracing it.
Okay.
I'm safe allowing this income to come to me. I know I've never been there before, and I know I don't know what it means. And anytime I have a little fear about it, I just set it aside, talk to it like it's a little kid's. Okay, just. Just relax. It's all going to be good. You're not going to face more than you can handle. Right. But that said, I don't want to. I don't want to create a constant breaking because I'm afraid it will be more than I can handle. Got it. You need to unpack that.
Yeah. Just to feel safe with it.
Yeah.
I don't understand why I haven't felt safe with it in the past, but I obviously haven't.
Yeah. Let it happen. Sometimes, you know, I hate that when people say things to me and my first thought is, oh, it's so not true. And I get like, ah. And then like a week later, I'm like, oh, yeah. Oh, okay. So now Whenever I'm feeling that puzzled rejection, I often go, oh, maybe that's me actually resisting something I didn't want to say or I don't want to hear or I don't want to think about, you know, so give yourself to it. And if you still come out the other side, like, I don't know. I don't know if that's. I don't know if that feels like me, then, you know, but you have to give yourself to it first. Okay. All right, my dear, I gotta let you go. Good luck. Good luck on your new business and life. Bye. All right, we have another quick break when we get back. I believe. I believe we will have to go to the Flow Dream. So. I'm sorry, Martha, Megumi, everybody else who's waiting, try me again during my next show. Okay? We'll be back right after this for a flow dream together.

All right, so are you ready to go into our beautiful Flow? Yes. Say yes. Yes. Yes. Yes, I am. What we're going to do is the Flow Dreaming technique, the tool that I described, which then transforms into a way of approaching, behaving, thinking, embracing, preacting your world. But it all starts here. You want to close your eyes and take a deep breath. Relax. You're not going to meditate. You're not using self hypnosis. You're going to bring three things together. Emotion, daydreaming, and awareness of flow. Energy and awareness that there is a path, a direction, a source. Energy. You are made of it. You are it. You are it. And you're going to let yourself sink into this feeling. Sinking into the feeling. Go on. Sinking in. What are you sinking into? Maybe you have some imagery in your mind. Sinking into the softest, biggest beanbag in the universe. Sinking into silky sheets, sinking into a soft parachute, sinking into a princess's bed. Floating, held hell, held in energy, held in flow, held in light. If there is a bottom, if you like the feeling of a floor, something solid beneath your feet, then you're standing on the surface of a great planet, a great plane of light, of energy. Solid, deep. If you like the feeling of floating, then you're gliding, flying. Perhaps you're skating, skating along the surface of some because you've noticed you've started to move. Now that you're here, you're moving. You can't help it, you're moving. You're being moved. As much as you're moving, you're not hardly exerting anything. It's more like an impulse, a direction, saying, this way, this way. This is my concept, my feeling, my way of understanding alignment. I have to see it as a form of movement, as a here to there, because that's what I know. And so I'm moving ahead like, oh, perhaps you are that skater, ice skater, roller skater, rollerblader. You're just. Doesn't matter if you've never done it before. You know how it looks, how it feels. Rocking back and forth, zoom, zoom, zoom, zoom. Flying, flying, flying, flying. Noticing you're not choosing a direction, the direction just is. It just is. It's, it's. It's there already. It's been chosen for you. It's been chosen by you. It's been chosen by your past, by everything you've ever been, every experience you've ever had has all come together to create this one essence of you in motion, with momentum, with flow, in pure and perfect alignment. There's nothing out of alignment here. Of course, there's always potential opportunities to go out of alignment as much as you wish. You can jump off and go over there. You can try that difficult thing there. Yet Flo is always saying, oh, well, you could pick that. It's the harder one and you go, okay, I want the harder one for a while. I want the one that requires more effort. Oh, it takes more effort to push on, on this path. Oh, oh, now I'm not roller skating or skate, skateboarding, whatever. I'm not doing it over a beautiful, smooth, effortless, gliding plane. Now I'm doing it over rocks and I'm. I've really slowed down and I'm crunching and picking and I'm like, why am I going so slow? It's really fatiguing. Me. And Flo is saying, hey, you know, it's not in your alignment. You're welcome to do that. But you'll notice what you're after isn't really coming very quickly. Maybe you should get back in alignment. And you say, that's right. And you feel yourself zip like you pulled right back in. There you go, you're back aligned again. Oh, get up that speed again. Let yourself be carried. It's all there for you. And there you are once again, smooth, smooth in your direction. And you're saying, that was an interesting experience. Why did I just do that? Why did I just have that? And Flo is saying you wanted the experience of contrast, right? This is what's showing you. We want you to know the difference at all times between being in your alignment and being out of it. There's a feeling state. You always know it. Sometimes you put off knowing it. You defer it. You say, just a little longer or it'll be better as soon as I. Or as soon as this other person does this, then it will. All of those are just deferring a recognition out of alignment. Let's get back in alignment. What's the fear of getting back in alignment? You think you're going to lose something? You're not going to lose anything. You're just losing something that was out of alignment. Let it realign. Don't you have trust? Do you have trust in that alignment? Do you have trust? Can you let yourself go in that line? Can you give up that need to be in control, that mind? Flo says, yes. Come with us. We know where the biggest horizons are, the biggest opportunities, the biggest everything, the most intimate everything big or small. All things of greatest value and your next step. All things. When you say, yes, that is. That is absolutely what I want. Absolutely. And you say, I'm here because I want to experience what it's like to just become and have you match me. How do I do that? And Flo is saying, so simple, so simple. How do you want to feel? How do you want to feel? Pick an area of your life, any area. Anything. A person, a situation, an encounter, a life objective. What is it? How do you want to feel? Feel it. Go ahead, be it. Become that. Are you wealthy? Are you in love? Are you healthy? Are you a wonderful parent? Did everything go right for you? Did you win something? Were you brought to tears of joy because of the way something worked out? That's what we're looking for. If you feel that with us now, then we know that that is what you are. That is what you want. It doesn't matter if it's not outside you yet. That is what you are. That is what you want. That becomes core inside of you, instantly displacing anything else. Everything else may still be there, but the new information is fresh. It's vibrant. It's real. It's now. It's in your power. Your power of now. When you say, yes, I'm getting the hang of this. I'm getting it. And you can feel flow swirling around you. Beautiful, dancing, swirling, twirling, mists. You feeling like dancing, swirling and twirling. Sometimes a straight line is a dance. It's still movement, it's still in flow. It's beautiful connection and creativity and trust. You say, I want all of those things. And Flo says, let's make them happen. What are you waiting for? Who are you waiting on? Only you can do this. Do you want to do this? And you say, yes. And as you do, the daydream begins to end and you find yourself opening your eyes. What you just experienced was an emotion based conversation, a realignment and a resetting. This is the starting path of flow dreaming. So my love goes to you all. Until we talk again, please visit the shop, say hi to me on Facebook and check out some mi school. All right, love you guys. Till next time.
