Flow Dreaming. It's a show where we talk about the power of your mind to change your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. Breathe. It is the feeling that you bring forward. It is your emotional connection that really sets the tone for what is going to be happening to you and for you. And you know that feeling when you touch it, it just spreads through you. Thank you for taking my call. I don't know why I feel like crying.
I think I just feel your love.
Of course. And I think I'm going to get some ANSWERS. I'm Summer McStravik, and welcome to another episode of Flow Dreaming. Welcome to Flow Dream. Before we get started, a really quick note. If you found this show on itunes or by downloading the Flow Dreaming podcast app, it would mean so much if you took a moment to review it. That is how other people will find this show and get the same great value out of it that I hope you're getting. So my huge thanks and sparkles and Flow go to all of you who just take that few moments to go write a quick little message of telling other people. This is good. Go listen. Thanks. Now off we go to the show. And here we are. Welcome to Flow Dreaming. Hi, everyone. It's Summer here to share another hour with you of what Flow thinking, Flow feeling. Flow living feels like. You know, it's funny. I've been going through a lot of topics lately about overcoming challenges using flow, and I have to constantly remind myself challenges are just half of it, right? I need to. I need to remind you guys the ultimate. The ultimate objection or objective, excuse me, with flow, is to find that place of ease, right? That's why we learn to move through challenges, to get into the place of ease. By its very nature, flow is telling you there is a path, there is a way of living and being where one, you get your needs met, and two, you're easily accessing, getting your needs met. It's not a tough thing. It's not a, you know, beat your head against the wall kind of thing. It's a different kind of living. It's a different expectation for living. So if you. If you recognize that as one of the primary purposes for exploring what Flow Dreaming is, then you're really on the right path. Now, this has come up because this last week I did something kind of rare for me. I realized I hadn't done it since 2014. It's been almost two. I did a live workshop and I invited everyone in for free. It was called how to solve any problem using flow and getting the universe on your side. So I did those. I did two live, almost back to back, couple days apart. Workshops on that topic got a flood of you guys. And because we were looking at the subject of problems, it reminded me, ah, we can't always focus on problems. We have to sometimes focus on the ease, the solutions. And that really dovetails in today's topic into what we're talking about, which is how to stand in your power. Because again, that brings up the idea that there are a lot of things that take us away from our power right where we down level ourselves. So that's what we're going to explore today. And a quick note to those of you guys who didn't catch the workshop live. Yes, I'll be putting out a replay link now. If you're listening to this in the archives, the replay may have been long gone, but if you're listening to it relatively close to when it was originally aired, it may still be up there for you. So to get that link, you've got to be on my newsletter list. And to sign up for that, pretty much I give you a present for doing so. I give you a free kit, and I think you hear me talk about it in some of the breaks during this podcast. But I'm teaching you how to flow dream in exchange for you getting onto my mailing list and kind of being willing to stay updated with whatever's going on, including that free workshop. So hop on it. The other big piece of news, very excited, is I have started MI School, our third year. Our third wave of students are beginning this month. Right now it is March. I will be enrolling throughout the month. It is not too late that as of today, I am getting our students connected together. Their materials are arriving in their mailboxes all over the world. We're about to embark on an extraordinary year of growth and change and really remodeling the way that we think about our lives, the way that we emotionally connect with our lives, the way that we present our expectations and therefore manifest in our lives. So it is a big undertaking. It is beautiful. Every month feels better than the last month until you reach the point where by the time you're done, you really are quite different. Inside, outside, things have shifted all around you. So if you're Interested? Do go to my website. You'll find a link there to set up a time. I actually talk with a lot of you myself. I have my students, some of my students talk with you about mi school. But I pick up quite a few of those calls. In fact, later on today, I think I'm talking with three or four more interested students. So, yes, the class is filling up. Definitely quite a few people took up a lot of the last spaces just over the course of the weekend. But it's still open, so run over there and check it out if you want to. Okay, so let's talk about our topic for today. Standing in your power. Right? Standing in flow. Standing in a place of strength. This one can be tricky for so many of us, right? I know that urge to just let things go, just wait a little longer, just put up with it a little longer. Maybe if I don't say anything, maybe if I don't confront, it will just all go away on its own. Maybe if I just keep praying, for God's sakes, it will all just resolve on its own, right? So we keep our mouth shut and we just hope the conflict goes away. I was actually kind of brought up to feel that way. That was a family pattern that I had to discover and move through. And, you know, the upshot of that pattern is you end up putting up with a lot of things in your life you should definitely not put up with. The problem is you don't even know that it's not normal to be putting up with it, right? Because it appears normal to you. It's what you've always experienced, you know, and this has everything to do from maybe the emotional abuse you experienced in your home, maybe between your parents, or maybe your parents towards you, maybe a brother and sister situation, maybe a fear that you're not allowed to say what you really think or feel. Maybe this is carried over into your present relationships where you're always sort of ducking and waiting and letting your partner assume the. The. The place of power because you're afraid if you say anything, everything will just go into a huge train wreck and you'll ultimately be very hurt. Maybe this has transferred over into your work life where instead of saying, hey, I deserve this, I did this, I need this, I created this. You're willing to let other people maybe step in and kind of scoop things from you or take a background role or, you know, wait five years to ask for a raise. These things are all indicative of someone who has never been taught how to stand in their power, you know, Relationships, especially any form of relationship, is where it really comes out. However, it can also be expressed in the way you yourself relate to your own life. Right? Relate to your flow, relate to your future, relate to the expectations of your future. Sometimes if there's a feeling of conflict inside us, I don't know what to do. I don't know how to get there. I don't know the first step. I don't know how I'll be able to. Right? That almost becomes an energy conflict, a power conflict. You with your future, you with flow, you with God. And instead of rising up and standing in it and saying, let's solve this again, the energy is, no, let's back away from this. Let's just hope it does it by itself. I can't be in that threatened state. And that's what leads me to my first point. Right. Oftentimes when we think about standing in our power, we feel that we have to get into a state where we're either threatening someone or something or being threatened by them. We've confused power with threat, power with fear, power with being hurt potentially. Right. Already in your mind, it's like, yeah, obviously I do link that together. Power does not have to feel that way. Really doesn't. If you're experiencing a conflict in your life right now, it's your flow's way of telling you that something just feels bad. Right? That's what flow does. Flo says, Flo, I say this all the time. Flow offers you resistance because it loves you and it adores you. Not because it hates you, loves you, and adores you, and it offers you the resistance as a way of saying, like saying to a child, don't touch the hot stove. Don't do that. You don't want to do that. That hurts. That doesn't feel good. That's not the direction you should go in. Ow. And if you're smart, you say, oh, okay. Thank you for telling me that. Very good to know. I'll know not to make that mistake again. Right? So conflict is always urging you to correct something. It's saying, make this better, make me better. You know? And I mean, I really. I mean every form of conflict, you ever have somebody that you want to say something, and you just keep being so pissed off at them in your mind, and you keep going around that conversation you want to have, but you don't do it. What's really going on there, Your greater self, your emotional self, your flow is saying, something is stuck, something is wrong, something is not working for you. Please, please take Care of this. It's hurting you, right? That is the purpose of conflict. It's urging you. It's begging you, resolve me, resolve me, fix me. Get us all into a better feeling state. Now, if you're not strong enough inside, if you don't feel that power inside, what you might calculate in your head that to actually mean is someone else wants something, and I'm not strong enough to say otherwise, so they're going to win and I just have to feel bad. You don't have to feel that way. That's not actually what it means. It means in the entire situation, it's bad. The other person is actually not getting their needs met. They just think they are. Because you're lying to them. Because you're not coming clean. You're not saying, hey, this is really not working for me. This situation is not what I. I want it to be. Feel or be or feel like, right? Same is true with you and Flow. You and your future. If you're saying, I don't want this job anymore, I hate this career, you know, but I'm sticking with it. What you're really saying is, you know, I'm in a space of conflict. Flow is urging me out. I'm lying to myself that it's working, but it's not. I'm faking it. See, where I'm going with this? Doesn't matter if the conflict is with you and other people or you within yourself. It's still urging you, fix me, fix me. I'm begging you. Now, the thing is, like I mentioned, many of us have been taught, avoid conflict at all costs. Be nice, be accommodating. Wait for it to work itself out. You don't want to be one of those people. And you. We all know who we mean by them. You know, the ones who get under our skin. The squeaky wheel, the. The mean people, the people that you know on and on and on. Especially we women were taught this. I'd like you to take today to think about a different way of understanding this. Right. First of all, like I already alluded to, many of us have no clue what a proper boundary is, right? So we don't know what the right thing is. We don't know how much we're allowed to push. So instead we do nothing or we just stay in a slow, simmering grind inside of us. Now, what happens when we instead are choosing a slow, simmering, grinding, seething, frustrated, anger, upset, or even just. When you get to that point where you just emotionally let go, you don't care you know, what's that called? The word is escaping me right now. Oh, resignation, Right. Ugh. Resignation. Giving up. Giving up what's actually happening, right? We're actually saying to flow. I'm powerless and I'm going to sit in this and I'm just going to keep feeling this energy and I'm going to keep feeling it over and over again. Now remember, flow and manifesting is all about what you feel is what is now being made for you. You aligning to your future through your feeling of the moment. So that slow grinding anger, that, that feeling of just despairing, resignation, Flow is picking that up and saying, of course I live to serve. If this is what you're feeling, this is what will create for you. Of course. Yes, yes. And we forget that. We forget that. So what do we do? How do you correct this? How do you get out of this energetic bind? Well, first of all, go listen to my problem solving workshop. Here are some other ideas though. First, clarity is key, right? Clarity is key. The opening awareness. What am I stuck at? What is not feeling good? Why is it not feeling good? Have I accepted that it's not feeling good? Because I don't know what my actual boundaries are, what's allowed, what's not. Here's the deal with boundaries. If it's feeling bad, it's crossed a boundary. You don't even have to know what that boundary is. If it's feeling bad, it's crossed a boundary. That's it. It's very, very, very simple. If someone you know was mean to you or is being mean to you or being unfair or unjust, it's crossed a boundary. It feels bad. Doesn't even mean the other person is bad. Just means it's feeling bad to you. It needs some resolution. That's clarity. You can get clear right this second. What is feeling bad in your life? There you go. That's where a boundary has been crossed, right? That's where there is a source of, of conflict. That is a place, an opportunity that Flo is saying to you, hey, stand in your power. Let's get in your power right here. Let's do it. So what's the next step once you understand it? If it's involving someone else, be it a person or you know, a place, a job, whatever, you have to be able to say, here is what I need, Here is what I need. And you have to be prepared. The other person may say, you know, that's wonderful. I'm glad I know it from you. But it still doesn't work. For me, you know, I've still got, you know, these constraints, or this is the job description, or, you know, this is. This is what I need out of a relationship. You've got to be prepared. It doesn't necessarily mean the other person's just gonna go, okay, wonderful, let's do it right. There still may be pushback. That's fine. But you've been clear. You stood in your power. You've expressed, this is what I need. Now from there, you can go into some other problem solving methods involving flow, involving inspired action, involving frankly, everything I teach in me school, right? And you'll be able to defuse that problem, get past that problem and move into your next set of circumstances, better circumstances, more feel good circumstances. But the expression is the critical part. And the other part of it is if it doesn't involve other people necessarily, maybe it's some conflict in yourself. You're not standing in your own power. You're afraid to even say to yourself, hey, this is what I really want. This is who I want to be. I'm afraid to go there. I'm afraid to try that. Then you have to tell your flow what the clarity is how you intend to feel. Just like you need to tell somebody else what you need. Hey, I need this because I need to feel this way. You also have to tell Flo, hey, I want to feel this way. Flo, feeling very upset right now about this relationship. That that's not working the way I want it to. Right here is how I need to feel in this relationship. I'm clear on that. That's number one, numero uno. Okay, for instance, I'm going to tell you something. Last night. Oh, my God, last night. Okay, I'm going to do one of these rare things where I'm going to tell you just a funny, funny story. I'm going to be my mom for second here. So I'm laying in bed, it's around midnight, and I wake up and there's this horrible, horrible smell. Like, what? God is that? And my little son, he's curled up against me in bed. And I raise up the covers and I'm like, oh, God, it's coming from under the covers. Smells like cat pee. Oh, my God, it's cat pee. It's cat pee. The cat. What happened? So I'm sniffing all around, you know, I'm flying awake, and I find it. The cat has peed on my son's pajama shorts, which he put on before crawling into bed with me. So we've been sleeping the last two hours with this cat pee drenched through his shorts, all over his body. Now it's all over the back of my pajamas. Now it's all over the inside of the covers of the bed. So I'm up changing him, throwing him back into his own bed, stripping off all of the covers in the bed, all the sheets, realizing that, you know, that little mattress topper thing? Well, it turns out we only have one of those. I don't have a spare. So now we have to figure out what do we do to cover up the mattress because sure don't want any cat pee or any other problems coming on tonight. So this is what kept me up last night till about 12:30. And then after all of that, thoughts came into my head. I'm laying back down, trying to get back to sleep. Oh, my web people, my tech people. I swear I'm having the biggest problems with them. I'm just not getting my needs met. I'm in conflict again. How could this be? I know how to make good choices. What's wrong with me? And I'm starting to go into that. And then I stop myself right when you lay in bed and you start to find those things. First of all, I say to myself, you know what? Thinking about this now is going to do absolutely nothing. Anything that you think of right now, you're probably going to forget as soon as you fall asleep. So this is totally pointless. Oh, okay. And that helps shut up my mind. The other thing that comes to mind is, you know what, Flo? I need to feel differently about this whole situation. I'm going to hand this off. You know, it's a bit like letting go and letting God. Except that I know that my flow is an active force and obviously God is too, but my flow is an active force. Once I give it my new emotional requirements, it runs with it. So I reverse that thinking right then and there. Laying in bed around one in the morning, all of my tech issues are solved. Everything comes together. Everything I'm experiencing is helping me up level and get even a better team assembled, get even better things going for me. Yes, this is what's happening. As soon as I did that, I fell asleep. I went from a powerless state to a powerful state. That's all I did. I went from feeling powerless to powerful. And then I let it go. All right, so that's an example. That was a rather long example, but I thought it was kind of funny. That was my night. So if I'm not making sense today, it's. Well, I've had It's been a cat pee night. Okay, so why don't we always do this? One last thing I want to mention before we head off to break, right. Why don't we stand in our power all the time? Seems pretty simple, right? What are the words that stop us? What are the feelings that stop us? Well, this is where we get into this muddier water. We often feel like I'm going to be hurt if I engage in anything that is conflict, I will be hurt, right? That's the number one thing that comes up. Notice this is lack thinking. I'll be hurt. Lack thinking, Screaming, blazing sirens running. Lack thinking. Why will you be hurt? Because you were hurt in the past whenever you engaged in conflict, whenever you stood in your power, did you lose something as a result? Did someone get angry at you? Did you experience even more negative emotion? Did your boyfriend break up with you? What? What happened? Do you want to continue to carry that expectation into your future? Do you always believe you'll be hurt if you're standing in your power? Really, really let that settle in. If that's the case, then yeah, that is what you will get. How do you get out of that though? You train yourself out of it. This isn't stuff that just goes in your head one time and you're like, ah, I get everything. I understand it intellectually now. It's all fixed in my life, right? If that were the case, then you could probably read the five best self help books in the world and before your age 20 and your life would be perfect because you would have absorbed the knowledge and perfectly changed. That's not how it goes when you are working to recreate yourself. It's an ongoing experiential process. You have to prove to yourself these new understandings that you've heard or learned. How do you prove to yourself? How do you begin to trust them? Right? You have to go through them, you have to test them. You have to be on yourself in a gentle and loving way and say, hey, I'm not going to be hurt if I engage in conflict. Because this kind of conflict is going to be loving. It's going to be gentle. I'm actually here to heal something. I am here to heal something. What if, what if that was your guiding light in every conflict you have? I'm here to heal this. I'm here to be steered by it. Ah, doesn't that feel better already? Right? Start giving that to your flow. Start giving those feelings to your flow. You don't have to be a jerk in conflict, right? That's another reason a lot of us stay out. We pull away from conflict. I don't want to seem like a jerk. I don't want to. I don't want to, you know, be the one to. Everybody will just think I'm, you know, I don't want to be that. That way. Understandable. I don't want to be a jerk either. But I can be powerful without being a jerk. I can be clear without being a jerk. I can communicate. This is what I need. Why isn't this occurring? Okay, if it's not occurring, this is what's going to happen next. Is that being a jerk or is that just stating this is what's going to happen next? I'm clear on this. Because I need to stay in a good feeling place. I need to stay on a road of healing. And if I don't say this is what will happen next, then I'm going to fall off that road of healing and I'm going to go back into a powerless position and then I'm going to start churning and generating anger and frustration again and the whole thing is going to go back to the way it was. Can you feel the strength in this different path? Very strong, very clear, very efficient, right? In flow, you don't waste energy. You waste as little energy as possible in your life. This is how successful people think and act. They don't waste energy rolling around the same things that they're out of power in in their lives. They stand in their power. They communicate it. I need to heal this. This is what I propose. Are you game? If not, here's the next thing I propose. Until we reach common ground. And if we can't, then here's what will happen instead. And that is what I will need to do. So I remain in my power, in my strength. And I have to be in that power. I have to be in that strength. Because you know what? The rest of my life needs that from me. My kids need that from me. My husband, my wife, my job. They need me to be in that place. I need to remain healthy. I need to remain out of stress. I need to remain this way. It's vital to me. That's why I am a hundred percent promised to staying in my power. And flow helps me. It's not just me. I'm not just the one thinking through everything, planning everything, having this burden set on me of, of organizing the universe. My brain could never handle that, but my flow sure can. My flow sure can. You guys getting it? So I'm kind of outlining here A little method using Flow, using your own mind, intellect, commitment. It's all wound together. All right. I hope this helps you. By the way, this is another example of the kind of topics that we practice in me school. I give my students processes and exercises that actually cause them to grow more powerful inside. They practice this every day. They utilize it in their lives. They. They insert these teachings into their life, into a current situation, and I'll say, resolve it, right? Get into a place of power. Come from the place of, I intend to heal this. And if I don't, I have to still keep getting to a better feeling spot inside myself. So here's what I'm going to have to do to reach that point, right? You're like, oh, summer, simpler said than done. It's not really. Not really. Remember, flow is a bubble bath for your mind, right? The universe loves you, adores you. It's on your side. Give it a job. Ask it to help you. But you have to be strong inside. You have to know what you need from it. You have to ask for it. You have to say, I should ask for this. This is right to ask for. All I'm doing is taking something that's making me feel bad and turning it into something that makes me feel good. I have every darn right in the world to do that. And then Flo is saying, yeah, and it's clapping for you. Keep that in mind. All right, quick break when we get back. I see calls as usual, too. We will be doing a Flow dream together, so stay with me and I'll talk to you in just a minute. Hey, it's Summer again, and yes, we're on break, but I wanted to share some important stuff with you about the hugely amazing and gorgeous MI School of Flow. Right now, it's either enrolling or it's accepting names onto the wait list. This means that I'm accepting students that I work with personally over the year ahead. And I teach you to do what I do, how to think, how I think, how to work with flow, manifest, create and use the universe the way it's meant to be used. You're going to create amazing things using flow. You'll also open and expand your empathic intuition. After doing this for a number of years, I can tell you MI schoolers make strides and hit goals way beyond what they think they're going to be able to do going in over and over. You don't have to be a superstar going in, because that's what we're going to turn you into once you get There if you're ready to go big, if you know you need to deepen your spiritual practice and your personal growth, then this is where you need to be. Your life, after all, only grows as big as you do. So MI School is online. That means you'll connect with me from all over the world. What to do next? And during waitlist times, I invite you to send me a note telling me about your interest. Okay. I look forward to hearing from you and even more to getting to know you as one of my personal students in MI School. Now let's get back to the episode. Welcome back to Flow Dreaming. Yay. We have some great calls lined up. I want you to notice what happens during these calls. What I do is one, I demonstrate how we would shift our thinking into flow thinking, how we would address our flow work with the universe in a particular situation. Sometimes I demonstrate as well how I use flow energy to read information, to sort of look ahead or to look into someone's mind to feel what the empathic awareness that I have shares with me. Meaning that when you're in Flow Dreaming, it's a very emotional process. Right? You are expressing to your flow through feelings. This is who I am. This is how I get my needs met. This is how I stay powerful. These are feeling states, right, that we're making in our lives. Sometimes you want to look into what's present out there. Well, you receive that information in terms of feelings, like what is somebody else feeling about me, me, which is often translated into words or thoughts. What is the feeling state around this, you know, potential job, for instance. And then we can look and see, well, are you on track for it or not? Or what is the place looking for? What are the feelings involved? So it's pretty interesting. So let's see. Let's start with Christine Denver. Hey, Christine. How are you? Hi. Hi. What can I help you with today?
I was kind of wondering if you can tap into maybe my ex. We were together for nine months and he went into rehab. He's an alcoholic and he's been in rehab. He just graduated six months sober.
Right? Yeah.
Kind of of broke it off after the first 30 days that he was in. And I was devastated to say.
Yeah, yeah.
I went to the darkest place that I've ever been to in my whole entire life.
Yeah.
And I've been some pretty dark places yeah.
Do you drink or use anything yourself?
I did. When I was 18, I was diagnosed as a drug addict and an alcoholic, and I lived on the streets of New York for two and a half years, and I got clean on my own and been clean ever since.
Okay, okay. And what's his first name?
Justin.
Justin. Justin. All right. The reason I asked that about you is because that's. I was kind of picking up on it from you as well. Not necessarily that, actual substances, but, you know, there's like a mindset, a feeling state of someone who has used and stopped using. It's a whole, you know, it's a whole dynamic complex, let's say. So it made sense that you guys obviously met you. You could kind of resonated, you could say with each other, he went and got clean. I feel like what happened, looking at him, you know, when he went in, he felt like he needed a complete break. He needed a do over. He needed a fresh start. You know, almost a case of throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Everything related to what he was doing had to stop, had to create some kind of distance. And even now, you know, I'm talking with him, he feels like kind of a quiet. He's got a quiet personality inside. There's a. Yeah, there's a quietude, a gentleness. You know, I think a lot of his using, I think he's aware of this, helped kind of shield him from the world, from responsibilities, from the things he felt he wasn't up to, challenges he wasn't up to because of the sensitive nature he's got. He looks at you, it's almost like there's a fear there. There's still a fear inside of him because you are attached to who he used to be. Right. Even though you're clean, you're still attached to that point of him, himself. He doesn't want to return to that point of himself. And he kind of has this fear that if he picks up anything from where he was, he might return to whatever it was that, you know, whatever part of that pattern he used to be in. So it's really. It's a case of, you know, it's almost. It's almost beyond you. You know, it's. It's. It's not. It's not a personal thing. It's more a sense of he has got to get stronger before he trusts himself to pick up anything that he used to have. You following that? Mm. Yeah. So that's. That's where he's at inside of himself. You have to Wait for him to get strong, you know, and you can send him encouraging messages if he allows you to talk with him or communicate with him. Just, you know, no pressure from me. Just sending you love. I care about you. I'm so proud of you. Keep going, you know, be in touch whenever you feel strong enough. That's it.
Well, I guess I'm more. I'm more. The way that he broke it off that, you know, he told me that he loved me, and then he cared about me and. And then, you know, I guess I was more.
You know.
Was it a lie?
Was it.
Did you use me? You know what I mean?
For like, no.
Nine months of.
No, he didn't. He didn't use you. He didn't use you. He's. He's really just behind this. It's so hard for him right now. It's like he's holding up a wall, and, you know, you're behind that wall. It's. He's. He feels like it's taking all of his strength. He does care about you, but he can't feel that way now because he's got to keep you with his old self. You understand? The way he was when he was with you is still in his mind. And it's not you. It's the way he was. He can't go back and start replicating a space that he used to be at when he was using. That is what is in his head. All right? So please be gentle with him. I think he did care about you, and I really did. I do think he loves you. He just can't afford it yet while he's getting strong. All right, Christine.
Okay. Thank you.
You're so welcome. Take care. Bye.
Bye.
So anyway, that's an example of what it's like to go in and just feel someone's flow. Right? Feeling Justin's flow, where he's in, what his emotional state is like, feeling him communicate. You know, I didn't speak the parts where normally I'm saying, hi, how are you? Kind of introducing myself to him. Just. I went right in because we have a lot of calls. How about Ashley? You're in now, the Bay Area. Lovely San Francisco. How are you?
Hi.
Hi.
I've been in a bit of a stuck in a rut, and with. I've been going through some anxiety and depression lately, and I'm just wondering. And I'm kind of in between jobs, and I'm just wondering if you can know something that can help me get out of that. Whether it's an herb or Anything that will help.
Okay, so you're what? You have two things going on here. One, you don't have work, and two, you're feeling some depression around that.
Yeah. And that. Well, depression, anxiety in general. Anxiety. I think the thing that's causing that is I have this fear of time that I'm getting too old to do the things that I want to do. So I'm just trying to figure out how to balance that out.
Okay. Okay. So the anxiety. I'm sorry, but what does that have to do with work or. Why am I thinking about work? Did you say that or am I just. Did I just hear it in my head?
No, I said that, too. I am in between jobs. I was in a stuck in a rut and I. I'm wanting to move to a different location and, you know, follow my dreams more, but I'm just having a lot of anxiety and fear over it and stuff.
Yeah, yeah. What's going on inside of you? Just kind of feeling you. Feeling your flow. It's the sense of, what if I make a wrong choice? I have a lot of things that I want to do. I hope I can do them. What if they don't work out? What if I screw them up? There's like the what ifs are just heaping on you. They're climbing all over you. It's like an ant pile of what if ifs all going on inside you. Yeah. And this is causing the anxiety, you know, the tensing up, the tightening. Underneath all of this is a feeling of trust. Right. And it. Just close your eyes with me. Okay. We're going to do a little energy work, a little flow work here. You need to go into this state of pure trust, pure flow, pure alignment. And this is how it feels. You're envisioning right now a sense that there is a sidewalk in front of you. Big, broad, beautiful sidewalk. Cleanest, brightest, widest, sidewalk you've ever seen. Like the sidewalks of heaven. And you're walking down and it's stretching off into the distance, and you have this feeling that if I follow the sidewalk, if I follow the direction presented in front of me, everything is going to be okay. Everything is going to be okay. So you look to your left, you look to your right. Do you see curbs? You're not going to fall off those curbs. Those curbs are really far away. Watch and feel how they stretch far, far away from you. You'd have to really run. You'd have to really pant for a mile at a hard run to reach those Curbs to fall off of. This means you can afford to walk a little to the left, a little to the right. You can meander a ways, getting there, but you're still going forward and you're still on the sidewalk. This means that all the decisions, everything that you're walking into, everything flow is placing in front of you. You're choosing the right things and they're happening at the right time. And you're letting go of the feeling that, no, it has to be perfect. It has to be right. Let go of that flow knows it doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be right. It's already factored in your mistakes and you're still on the right track. Feel that. Ah, that's a huge sense of relief. You're gonna be okay. What a huge, huge relief. You feel yourself moving. You feel yourself walking into the first day of work. Oh, there it is. How wonderful. My first day of work. They love me. What a wonderful job. Who'd have thought I could have had this great of a position, how it came to me so easily. Wow. And it's true. Maybe I made a few missteps or had a few, you know, close, close calls getting jobs. Who knows? Flo already factored that in. I feel okay. It knew what it was doing. I was still on that sidewalk. I was still going toward my destination. And notice I didn't build the sidewalk. It's already there for me. It's my path, and I'm able to just flow and align right to it. Right to it. Lockstep, right in alignment. And now open your eyes. Returning from flow. Do you feel that, Ashley?
For a moment, a little bit. But I feel like I belong in Los Angeles. I'm wanting to. You see me living down there or.
I don't know. I don't know. LA for me feels a little far away for you still. I actually see more. Yeah, I really see more opportunities where you're at. I don't really feel LA coming up, but I want you to practice that state of alignment. Right. I want you to practice talking to your flow that way and feeling that. Okay? It's there for you. All right, my dear, thanks so much for your call. Take care. Bye now. Thank you. You're welcome. Right. We all have that sidewalk, by the way. We all have that aligned state. And, you know, the fact that she was able to get into it just a little bit, that's because she still has this crust of anxiety all through her. Right. It's like a emotional garbage floating at the top, you have to kind of wade your way through that to get into that aligned feeling state. So she has to release the anxiety, release the what ifs, move into the state of, hey, it's all fine. And especially, did you guys catch that line? My flow has already factored in all of my wrong choices, and I'm still heading toward my destination. That's very, very powerful when you're developing that emotional trust in yourself and in your life. All right, I think we have one last. Yeah, we have a chance for one more call. Megan. Megan. San Diego, my hometown. What's up?
Hi, Summer. Hi, it's Megan. So I wanted to ask you about my dad. He's been in the hospital. He's been in the ICU for over two weeks now, and he got better for, like a day, but then he hasn't really gotten much better. And I was wondering if he can look into his flow and see if there's anything I can do to help him or if there's something he wants us to know. I'm not really sure if he wants to stay like, on Earth, or is. Is he ready to go?
Like, I'm.
I'm not sure.
Okay. What's your dad's first name? Where. What city is. What was that? Lynn. Lynn Flint. Glenn.
Lin. L I n. Lynn.
Okay. L I n. Okay. Is he in San Diego, too?
No.
Okay.
In Maryland.
Maryland. And what is he in for?
He has pneumonia in his lungs, and he had a gallbladder infection, and he's on a breathing tube right now.
And how old is he?
75.
Okay. Lin, Lin, Lin, Lin, Lin. I'm gonna go. Traveling to Maryland. Linh. Where are. You know, to be honest, he feels pretty bad. You know, he just feels. His whole body feels bad. He feels like he's been traumatized. He's just. He's telling me everything hurts. You know, I can feel that it's hard for him to breathe. Everything is hurting in his body. Hurting? Hurting. Don't they have you on pain meds? You know, the pain meds, they're. It's like they're. I don't want to say halfway effective, but it's not really covering up the fact that he just doesn't feel good, doesn't feel good all over. Do you want to stick around? I mean, do you have that opportunity? Yes, it's pneumonia, but pneumonia can be cured. Gallbladder, Right. That's fixable. What do you want? You know, he feels like he's just taking a rest from life right now. He feels you know, I think you're. I think your dad maybe has had some depression even before this or on top of this, because it's just. Yeah, his depression keeps coming up, you know, now he's just getting a break from that. He's getting a break from his depression? Does he want to go back to it? The circumstances of his life need to feel different. There needs to be something bright and sunshiny and joyful for him, and he feels that there's not. It's a grind he's just getting through. So he's ambivalent. You know, he's just. He's just. He's ambivalent. He's just not really sure what he wants. He's kind of just letting life carry him. It's almost like he's made no choice, let's put it that way. Telling him, lynn, you've made no choice, you're just letting happen what happens. Yeah, he's just letting what happens. There's no choice inside of him right now, so I'm just gonna nudge him a little bit, make a choice. You know, your daughter cares about you. She loves you. She's even. She's asking about you. She wants you. She needs you. She'd love to see you. She wants to see you happy. She wants to see you have something golden and beautiful in your life again. You're not too old. Stop that. Don't say that. He says he's too old for that. Come on. No negative Nelly on me, all right? So there I just. I was quiet. I was just giving him a little bit of a pep talk, okay? Reminding him. Come on. Time to get through this. Time to get out of bed. Come on, get back to things. You're not done yet. Ha ha ha. All right. I think I got through. All right. Thanks, Megan. I hope I could help your dad. You know, he's a. He's a. He's a wonderful man. What I felt inside his depression, though, is just really have him. Has him looped around its finger and he's just floating right now. He really needs to be. You know, it needs to be suggested to him, make a decision. You know, don't let. Don't. It's not just whatever happens, happens. You can make some new choices. All right? Thanks, honey. Thank you. Thank you. Hope I helped. Take care. Bye. If you don't know what it is, go to my website, download the free kit, you know, which teaches you how to do it. It is not meditation, it's not hypnosis. We're going to feel stuff really, really feel it in the flow state. All right, eyes closed, relaxing, breathing deeply. Deep breath all the way down into your abdomen, down to the bottom of your stomach. And you're holding it for a moment. Releasing, releasing, releasing. As you deep breathe, you let your shoulders drop, your chest rises and opens. Your neck is loose, your jaw relaxes. Let go of any tension held in there. Your brow releases and relaxes. You're allowing yourself to just let go. Let go of your room that you're sitting in the car. Let go of anything. Release. Obviously you don't have your eyes closed in your car, but you know what I mean. Let go of wherever you are. Pretend that you're going to leap behind the curtain. You're leaping behind the scenes of where you are as if there were a door and you can walk through it. Get right behind all the physical stuff you see around you. You get behind it, you get inside it. As if there were an inner layer, a place behind everything physical outside you. And this place is filled with energy. It's filled with light. It's where everything is being put together in your life, where everything is being held together. Everything you see your future time races and roaring beautifully forward, a ribbon of light, of energy. Time, your future forming. And you're feeling something here. Allow that feeling to come up, that negative thought, that negative energy, that place of conflict inside you, conflict in yourself, conflict with someone else. Go ahead, feel that. That's your flow. It's notifying you. It's like a little red flag going up saying, hey, we need to fix this. We need to fix this. And you say, you're right, we do. Flo says you can be in your power. Do you know where your power is? Can you step into it so we can fix this? Can you get into the driver's seat here? We need your guidance. What do you want? How do you want to feel? Instead you say, well, I want to feel positive. I want to feel powerful. I want to feel that this thing is being fixed, that it's going my way, that it's happening, that whatever those positive and beautiful feelings are, pour them out there, feel them right now. Think about the situation. Think about the conflict. What is it? What's the worry? What's the fear? What's the sense of lack? Can you embrace that? Can you love it instead? And say, I don't need to feel you. You know what I feel instead? I feel really good. Feel really, really good. This is solved. This is taken care of. I'm very strong with this. I can say what I need. I can enforce my needs. And yeah, this other thing may or may not respond the way I want it to. That's fine. But I'm still going to get My needs met. I'm still staying in my power. I'm not letting that go. I'm not losing that. Because the moment I do, I'll drop right back into that bad feeling state, and I cannot afford that. I refuse. So I'm staying powerful. I'm staying clear. I'm feeling that clearness, feeling that direction. I feel it all. Oh, yes, yes, yes, indeed. I'm feeling that. And now you allow yourself to just be in that state. Be in that energy, be in that emotion, Be in that strength inside you, inside your flow. Even now, as you find yourself returning and you open your eyes and you're back. And that was the fastest 5 minutes I bet you've ever experienced in flow. Getting aligned, feeling really good. All right, so that wraps up our show for this week. Please come back next week for another episode of Flow Dreaming. Until next time, my love to you all, and I'll talk to you soon. Well, look at that. Show's over.
