Slow Dreaming.
It's a show where we talk about the power of your mind to change your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. We talk about this feeling of hope and joy and relief. And that is what being aware of your flow does. It gives you a feeling of power again in your lives. Breathe. I'm Summer McStravik, and welcome to another episode. Episode of Flow Dreaming. That's right. Welcome to Flow Dreaming. Hello, everyone. I'm happy, happy to be here with you today, as always. I know I've said that every, every single show for the last 12 or 13 years, but I am still happy to be here. It's one of my favorite things that I get to do every week in my life. And that's something I planned. It's something I've created that I've kept going because it means something to me. And it's funny because this week I've been going through my archives. Oh, my God. 13 years of shows. We are numbering them all for the first time. I don't know why I never numbered my programs. They're always cataloged by date and title. But now we're numbering them and I'm really curious what the final tally is going to be. Probably 452 or 511. I'm not even sure. It's a big project. And thank God I've got some great people on my team, you know, who you are, who are helping me with this. It's very complicated. And what this has shown me, though, is I've been listening. Oh, my God. I actually listened to the first show I ever aired. And I listened. I'm swallowing and blinking hard here as I admit. Oh, it was pretty bad. It was pretty bad. In fact, I listened to the show after and the show after and it was like revisiting 2005, you know, Ghosts of youf Past. And I'm thinking, wow, that was me, you know, 12 years ago, 12 years younger. Here I was in my 30s, and, you know, never had broadcast, never had really even allowed myself out in front of people in any way before. And because of the nature of my job at the time, I suddenly had to be very present in front of people and I had to figure it out fast. And I wasn't even aware of this kind of artificiality that was like a screen in front of me. But I can hear it. I hear it in my voice. I hear it in the lilt of my. You know, like, I think I'm being an on air person and I have to talk a Certain way. And I had no idea at the time, but obviously some part of me was enforcing a bit of a force field, right, that I had to slowly break out of over the years. It's fascinating to see. So scroll forward. 2005, the shows are okay. 2006, I start to hear myself. I start to hear me. I start to feel and see my growth. And I'm certainly not going to listen to myself for all 400 or plus episodes over the last 12 years. I've lived in myself. I don't need to see it all in real time, but if I ever wanted to go back, you know, if my kids ever wanted to go back, they could hear their mom change, grow, develop, follow my interests, follow what I was fascinated by. It's almost like an online diary in a way. Those of you who keep diaries, you know, someday someone may read them and you may be grateful that they do that. They see you evolve. When you're way past all of the stuff about, oh, am I okay? Or is that some embarrassing, Or I hope when you get way past all that, it's just a catalog of you and your growth. So today, the subject that we're growing on is called Money Monkeys. I haven't done a program on money in a long time, and I thought, time to return to it. I think the reason is I put out a beautiful course earlier this year, much earlier this year. It was in the springtime called Money Flow. I think it's one of the best courses I have ever created, because money and wealth and income reciprocity, this is an energy I talk about maybe 50% of the time with people that I'm helping and all the other categories lumped together create the other 50%. And it's because money, of course, money, stability, safety is so. It's such a huge, huge part of who we are, part of living. It's the thing you have to nail down, you have to figure out. And if somehow you don't or you can't, it will haunt you. And, you know, what's another word for haunt? It will just beat you up. And I have friends right now who are also 40s, 50s, and they're being beat up by their money monkeys. And so today, you know, my goal is to try to crack that, to make you understand, to realize this is not, you know, it's not the most important thing in life. We all know that, right? What's the most important thing? People you love, whether you're happy or not, whether your health is good. I think most of us would all put those way up above money. And yet money is the thing we so often return to over and over, around and around, and then we feel all guilty and slimy for thinking about money all the time. Money is just security and that's what we're going to go into. So to go back, money Flow, if you guys are curious about it, go to my website. You'll see a banner there for Money flow. Fantastic. Really great, great series. And I'm going to be talking about it more as we go forward. So I see some of you are calling in already. Oh, I love that. And I'm barely even putting it out there that I'm live again because I keep testing. Right. The quality of the shows. Some of you guys rem. Last week I dropped a bombshell announcement about where Flow Dreaming is heading. Where we are heading with inflow radio.com right now. If you go there, it's just a very quiet little page. But a lot's gonna start happening there in the next couple of months, so keep your eyes open for that. So anyway, yes, if you want to call in and talk to me, I'm live again. Can't wait to talk to you. 760-456-7277. Another way of looking at that is 760-4567. Isn't that cool? 4567277. I don't know how to make that last part work. Anyway, you can find that right now listed up on the website flowdreaming.com on the podcast page. Every time I am podcasting live, recording my podcast live, sending out a live radio stream, essentially, you're going to be able to list that player and call in and, you know, we can talk and see what's going on in your life. So before we get to that, I want to talk a bit about money. And this is a really opportune time because, ooh, it's the holidays, right? Holidays again. This is my 13th year talking about the holidays with you guys. Come on, 13th. But the holidays are so similar. And this morning I woke up to an email that I just thought, wow, this is indicative of the holidays. It was a excoriating. I know all these big words, excoriating email meaning singeing my skin off about how evil I was and terrible. And I talk about money and I shouldn't and da, da, da, da da. It was true hate mail. And I, you know, I told my staff, hey, you guys, I know we don't get these very often, but it's a sign that we're kind of getting out there. I know this because it's happened before, but I started thinking what, what happened to trigger someone like this, like what's going on? You know, I'm. It's not about me. It's about the anxiety, it's about the monkeys on this person's back. It's about the unresolved issues surrounding security and what's just and what's fair and how the world should work. We have all kinds of stuff that swirls around us and ties us up, surrounding what we think we should get. Some people, some of us think we should get a lot more than we get. And we're angry at other people that it's not happening. And we say they're taking from us and we're finger pointing across the, across the schoolyard and saying it's them, it's them. And you can say they're another nationality. You can say they're greedy corporate bastards, you can say they're capitalists. You could. All kinds of things we can talk about. And that's not to say that some people really aren't hurting others through their, you know, fiduciary means. That's true. But what I'm looking at is what's going on inside of you, that it's hurting you so much that you're allowing this, you're allowing this kind of existential threat to you to hurt you, engage you. Some of us, on the other hand, feel like I'm not worth very much. I don't know what I should charge. I talked to somebody about that just today. What should I charge? They offered me this. Should I take it? I'm like, well, I don't know. What are you worth? Well, I don't know what I'm worth. I mean, that's what the conversation boiled down to. And I said, well, do you need the money? Yes. I said, then take the money, take what you were offered. Go from there. Let's not worry about your worth. Let's just get some cash in right now. But some of us are still stuck in what am I worth? What am I worth? What am I worth? What am I worth? And we have all of this gunk going on inside of us that is hampering our understanding of our internal worth. And you can say, well, I'd say I'm worth more. But there'll be no clients or no people would work with me. I wouldn't get any, you know, nobody'd buy anything from me. I'd be pricing myself out of the market. I have news for you, it's impossible practically to price yourself out of the market. I know people who charge $100,000 a year for private coaching, $50,000 a year for private coaching. And they are full. They are full. And you'd say, wow, well, they must be amazing. No, I mean, yes, they're amazing. They're not that amazing. They're not amazing to the point where you know you're going to walk away a millionaire after working with them, necessarily. But yes, they offer a lot, but the biggest point is they feel that their worth is that high and they have an audience for that. I have people who charge almost nothing for what they do that I have worked with. Like, what are you charging? $200 a month? Well, what are you giving? 8 hours, 10 hours, 12 hours of my time. I'm like, why don't you just go, waitress? You know? I mean, are you. What's going on here? What are you worth? So our money monkeys, you have to look at them as these. These little creatures that cling on to your back that are always arguing with you about what you are worth. Are you worth a hundred thousand? Are you worth 300? What makes the difference inside of you? And here's where you say, well, it's what the market will pay. It's what other people will pay me. I want to shatter that right now. It's not about what other people are going to pay you. People will pay you whatever they want to pay you. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Let them pay you what they want to pay you. Why are you prejudging them so much? You're kind of not, actually. If you really go into it, you're judging yourself. I won't get those kind of people who want to pay me this. I won't get that number of clients. I won't get that recognition at work and get my pay raise. I won't get. I won't get. Almost every single time you go deeper into this thought process, into this energy, it's what we're talking about, right? All your thought processes are energy processes. They're ways of thinking that you have solidified into things that become real for you, right? Think about thoughts as light, frothy little energies. But the longer and the more you think them, the more they harden up, right? Like becoming calcified. You know that. You know the gunk that gets on the edges of swimming pools, that white stuff that you can't scrub off? It's the calcification, you know, the gunk that forms around your sink. You Know knobs that you can't, you have to use like lime away or something horrible to kind of like get it off there, that's calcification. Calcification happens to your thinking as well. And you get locked in, you get hardened in to these beliefs and these are the monkeys that become heavier and heavier on your back. And I know it's tempting to go into self worth. Yes, we could definitely go down that rabbit hole too. But for the moment, for today's program, I just want you to think about it like a monkey. Something that has started to hang on to you. Where you've said, this is what I'm worth, no more, no less. I can't have now. It's not a problem if what you think you worth, your worth and what you're receiving are on par with each other, right? If you're like, no, I've got it really good. I like my job, I like my boss, I like my co workers or I like my clients and I like the income I'm receiving from it. And I like the level of stress that I get from it or don't get from it. I like the freedom or flexibility I do or don't get. Right? If you like everything, you're not having a problem. It's only those of us who have this nagging feeling like, gosh, money, money, money. I hate you, I hate you. I can't get enough of you. I hate you. I hate you and I can't get enough of you. Back and forth, ping pong, ugh. What is going on? You can already feel in that, that saying, kind of a mishmash goes on in your head. What do you think your flow, what do you think your life is responding to when you say, I love you? I hate you. I love you, I hate you. I want more of you. I'm so mad and angry and you're so unfair. I want more of you. You're so. You don't give me what I need. I want more of you. Imagine if this was a partner that you were starting to date. This person would drop you like a hot potato. They'd say, you are crazy. You don't know what you want. And you'd have to say, yeah, you're kind of right. I'm calling you, I'm calling you. And then I'm ignoring you. And then I'm ignoring you. And then I'm calling you, and then I'm ignoring you. And then I'm calling you. They'd say, you're not ready for a relationship yet. Are you saying, no, I'm not money yet, to look at it the same way, it's kind of doing the same thing with you. This is why, when I created Money Flow, my desire for it was to rehab your relationship with income and with money, to change it, starting from inside of you. Can you believe that? Money is a system of exchange, whether you call it barter, right? Barter, which is sort of the more holistic and an ancient form of exchange, which is, you know, I'm going to grow some food and you're going to weave some baskets, and I need your baskets and you need my trade. Right. That's the most basic form of money. I do something important, you do something important. Let's trade. That's it. Money is no more difficult than that. I know. That's crazy, huh? It's no more difficult than that. Right now, you're doing something and somebody is trading something to you. They may be giving it to you in the form of paycheck or paper bills, but it's the same thing. You do something for me and I give something to you. How valuable is the thing that you're giving? And you say, well, it's out of my control. That's a money monkey. It's not out of your control. Remember what I said about coaches, I know who charge 100,000 a year. It's not out of your control. If you choose to give it out of your control, it's a way of saying to yourself, I don't have to deal with this. I can explain this to myself. But if you take back that power, if you take back that control and you start to say, hey, I want to be worth this now. My artwork is worth this now. Painters, I have worked with world class painters, paintings that sell for 30,000 and above. I have worked with painters who sell their works for $300. What's the difference? The difference is someone likes it or loves it. The difference is they look at it and it opens their heart or it doesn't. There is an audience for all of these painters, but the price point changes. And some of it, yes, has to do with the marketplace, how the artist is showing up in the marketplace. If they're playing the painter's game, the art world game, or if they're not playing that game, a lot of factors go into it, but the point is it's the artist who's generally choosing what they're playing and what their worth level is and how they want to be seen. So here's a money monkey that I want you to open up to and look at inside yourself. How do you want to be seen by the world? And are you being seen that way? Are you letting yourself be seen that way? Are you holding back from being seen that way? Did you try to be seen that way? Got rejected and so you said, I'll never try and be seen that way again. Meaning you're still pulled back. Meaning the other side won. That's a money monkey. A money monkey. Something that's pulling you down, holding you down, holding you back. These things are invisible. It's an energy, it's a belief. It's a feeling about yourself that you do not need to keep. So I challenge you. I challenge you. In today's program, is there one money monkey you can let go of? Maybe it's related to self worth. Maybe it's related to the value of what you're exchanging. Maybe it's related to something having to do with what's fair and not fair. Like, you know, rich people suck and poor people are noble. Could be any of that. Maybe rich people are great and poor people suck. Ooh, that's terrible. Please, nobody extract that and put that out there. That would be a soundbite out of context. In my world, nobody sucks. It's all about how they are believing, how they are being seen and how they are showing up. Now, some people are honorable and some people are dishonorable. That's a whole other thing that's not related to money. That's related to the way that you're exchanging yourself in the world honorably or dishonorably. Can you guys see that? It's a fully different, energetic state. Honor, dishonor, very different than value. No value. So in flow dreaming, one of the things we do is we look at everything as an energy state and emotional state. We parse it down. Money monkeys today is showing you the emotional states, the energy states that are not serving you, that are not giving to you, that are holding you back and holding you down. And I am urging you, let go of them, release them. They're not helping you. I want you to write down one negative feeling you have about money. If you don't have a pen, then just think about it for a second. One negative thing. You think about money. It's hard to get. It's inconsistent. There's not enough of it to go around. If you take from. If I get it, I'm taking from someone else. Zero sum game. Think about this. Is this belief helping you? I don't care if it's realistic or not yet Is it helping you? Is it allowing you to flourish? Why are you holding it if it's not allowing you to flourish? Why would you hold anything that's not allowing you to flourish? Because it's real, Summer. It's real. Is it real? Is it real for everyone? May not be real for everyone. Maybe it's real for you. Is it universally real? Remember, we're not talking honor or dishonor. That's a whole different ball game. What's right and what's wrong, Whole different energy. We're just talking about exchange. You giving and you receiving. Think on this. Let's break through this. We're gonna go to a quick break and when we get back, oh my goodness. I see calls, calls, calls, calls, calls. We're gonna do some calls and then we're going to do a little bit of flow. Dreaming to peel back and let go of some of these money monkeys. Like I said, this is the holidays. This is the time when we are supposed to be lovingly giving, receiving and exchanging. Isn't it odd though? It's such a time when people's angst gets right up there on the surface. All of their fears start pouring out, all of their anxieties and their year end. I don't have enough start. You ever wondered why the holidays are stressful? You ever wondered if they used to be that stressful? Remember when we could just give oranges and apples and things to each other? Dances and hot ciders? Remember that? That's giving and receiving too. That's the holidays. That could be all of our holidays. Stay with me. Think about that. I know I just plopped a whole bunch of provocative stuff into your head. And we'll right back after this. We're on break. And while I give myself a second to regroup, I'd like you to consider what having private mentoring with me would be like. You see, I accept a small number of people each year for private coaching. The question is, what do you want to make? Who do you want to become? We can program and shape any area of yourself or your life. Imagine right now what you would be doing if you had no fear. Imagine how your life would look if there were no patterns and blocks repeatedly tripping you up. Imagine if you were fully healed in your heart, body and mind. Imagine if you also had a map to your success and you could follow it with ease and flow. Well, I look into you and into your life and I feel where you're going and know where the road is open and where blocked. I help you make the very Best decisions based on what's coming up for you. I'll also show you exactly what I do day to day to succeed in my personal and business life. And we can create a copycat plan for you. So if you're game, you can fill out an application on my website for private coaching. Just go to flowdreaming.com coaching and then let's talk. I mean, the time to go for it is now. So let's just get this started. Now let's get back to the show. In case you missed it, the number to call to talk to me live is the US number 1764, 56 7277. Flow Dreaming airs live on Tuesdays. So check flowdreaming.com for my current live broadcast time. Again, reach me at 1-760-456-7277. Now let's get back to the show. And welcome back. Hello. Hello. Let's go to some calls and find out what's going on in your world in flow and what we can do. For now, let's start. Oh, I haven't sol. I haven't talked to you in forever. My darling. How are you?
Hi, summer.
Hi, soul. How are you?
Good. I'm so great, and it's so great to talk to you. I love you so much.
I love you, too. And I miss you.
I miss you, too. And it's so great to hear what you're doing with the radio. I can't wait to hear all of the shows and everything. It's just so right, like, oh, I love it. You're going big, and it feels so good.
Thank you, my dear. Hey, do you hear my kitty cat in the background? She's meowing. Can you hear that? No. Okay. Well, I'm just curious. Well, thank you. Thank you. Yes, it is time for a change. It's a big shifting year for me. How about you?
Well, so the reason that I'm calling, I am starting a business, E Commerce. I'm creating a product to sell online, and it's been really fun and it feels really good. Actually, once I started working on it, I've gotten paid from unexpected sources and etc. So it feels really good. But I am looking at two suppliers from China and I'm having trouble. Well, I'm not having trouble, but I wanted your input on which one I should go with.
Okay. Okay. Okay. So for anybody listening, in case you don't know what I'm about to do, when I look in flow, other people might call it being intuitive, you know, reading Minds Flow is a two way street. Everything is energy. If it's energy, it can be read, right. It's like printed like words in a book. Everything has a blueprint to it. Even situations, even exchanges. You know all this talk I've just done about money, I'm really just talking about general themes that I read in people's energies and in the world over and over again. So I'm going to look at these two different suppliers. Tell me what I want you to think. The first one, tell me their name and tell me what they're supplying to you.
Their name, let's say, well, can I just give you like A and B or.
No, you don't want to let it out there. You'll make it a bit harder. But that's okay if you're. So I'm. What I'm doing is I'm skipping stones. So I'm skipping into you, through you, to them. So I'm feeling what you're feeling about them. So I could be a little tainted by what you're feeling unless I know a little bit more about them. Just know that so that it's up to you. Otherwise I'm going to read what you're feeling about them.
I can give you the names of the people that I've been interacting with for each company. Does that work?
Sure. And I can feel what they're feeling. I don't know if it's the whole big picture, but I'll do the best I can. And tell me, what is it? What widget or thing or thingy. Bob Whatever.
It's a. It's like a gold planner slash a gratitude journal.
Great. Okay.
Notebook.
So we're looking at printers.
Yep.
Okay.
And well, so first one, their name starts with Shenzhen. And the person that I been interacting with is Wendy.
Wendy and Shenzhen. Okay. And have you already gotten quotes from them?
Yes.
Okay.
And they're the cheaper, cheapest.
It's okay. It doesn't make a difference. Shenzhen, Wendy. I'm talking, I'm looking at Seoul. I'm shooting. Imagine, Imagine like when you see a starship, you know, like in a sci fi show and it has to bend around the warp of the. The planet to get to, you know, use the planet's boost to get to the next planet. I know this is very complicated, but this is what I'm doing with you. I'm bending around the planet of soul and I'm moving to them. Okay. What do you, what do you. I feel pretty good about them. I think they're going to do what they say they're going to do, I think their quality will be. It's not number one. I'm trying not to be influenced by knowing the price point, but I feel that they will still be solid. I think they'll be solid. I do feel that in the company, there is a lot going on. It can be chaotic at times. You know, your stuff could be a bit lost in the flow. Lost. And I mean the flow of production. So if you're really sensitive to time deadlines, I'm going to be more cautious with them just because as I feel their operation, it's very. It's like. Oh, it's. There's, like a lot going on. And so that's where I feel like there's a little bit of a personal attention. If you stay on it. If you are the squeaky, super irritating wheel every week. How's my project going? Where are we at? Where are we at? You're gonna have a better shot, but if your Hands off. Am I right? You're laughing. Okay.
Totally. Right.
Okay. Okay. All right. So I can't advise for or against. I feel the quality would be good. And being that I come from a real rich publishing background, that's saying something. But you have to be in IT and up in their business. Who's the other person?
Yep. The second person. Her name is Summer.
You're kidding. Well, I'm gonna be biased. Go with her. Go with her. All right. I know, right?
I actually thought if that was a sign, but. And the company name starts with Paidro.
Pedro. Okay. Are they Italian?
No, they're both Chinese.
Huh. I don't know. Something about this company feels more spread out. It feels more, I don't know, worldly, or they're trying to represent worldliness. They're like. They would like to have offices, other places. They feel more international, you know, that's. That's the feeling. I mean. Okay, so let's see. What is Summer? What is Hydro. Hydro. Hydro.
Hydro.
Ty. Dro. Okay. Hydro Pyro. Hello, baby. Okay.
Sorry.
It's all right. I'm just looking. They're harder to pin down. They're harder to pin down. They may be harder to access. Generally, I think Summer is going to try and do a good job of being connective, but she's left in the dark sometimes. Sometimes she has no idea what's going on. It's like this company does things their own way, their own time, their own system, but they also have this glamour that they're trying to put about themselves as being somehow International or big or something or other. Well, I know. Okay, so fine. That's how you are. Are you going to do a good job for Seoul? Will you do a good job? Should she work with you? I think they're solid. Yes. They're both solid companies. They're going to be solid. I kind of like the other company better. I don't know why I'm going. I'm leaning toward the cheaper guys. I feel that Tydro is going to be good, but they're. Gosh, I cannot put my finger on it. But the very fact that every time I try and put my finger down, it's like trying to put your finger on Mercury just slides in one direction or another, and that bothers me. And it makes me wonder if there's something that I'm not seeing or is not being shown or they don't want me to know.
Yep, you're so right. And you, as always, you just explain it better, okay.
Because I have no idea what your interaction with them has been, but I'm glad that explains it for you.
Absolutely. Yeah, I think you're exactly right. Summer wants to do a good job, but she. She has a hard time telling me. But any case, you're absolutely right. So thank you so much.
All right, so, well, I hope you're doing great and so is little baby and that you get your beautiful project out there.
Thank you so much.
I love you, too. Good talking with you. Bye, hon. You could tell I know some people who are calling. Oh, my gosh. Sol has been flow dreaming for years and years and years, and we've worked together, and she is just amazing. And I've just been wondering how she's doing with her new life, and obviously it sounds very good. Okay, who. Who else can we talk with? Oh, my God. Someone's got to make a decision. And 24 hours, I'm gonna have to take Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Hello.
Hi, Summer.
Hi. Urgency. Yes. Do you hear me? Okay.
Yes.
Great, great, great, great. And you're in me school. Hello, my dear.
I am, I am. I'm loving it. And this podcast is literally like, exactly kind of where I'm at. And I resonated so much. So it's really divine that I just looked at the clock. I was like, it's three o'. Clock, I gotta call in.
Oh, good, good, good, good, good. Okay, so what's going on?
Okay, so I've been working as a substitute teacher. All those beliefs about money are, like, really right on for me. I've always had jobs that paid me the bare minimum. And that I. I really feel like I haven't been living up to my potential. And I. And I think that it's partially that I feel like I'm not good enough. And I also feel like I won't be recognized by the people that have the authority to hire me for jobs where I could fulfill my potential.
Okay.
But so what? Everywhere I do go, I'm, like, recognized and valued, and I keep getting feedback that people are like, wow, you're great. We want you here.
Yeah.
And so I've been substituting a lot at a couple schools in particular, and one of them is asking me to come on full time. And I love the people there. I love the kids, and the work is good. It's not ultimately what I want to do. And I told her that it could only be temporary because I know that I'm going to move on to other things, like my purpose. But in the meantime, this might be a step in the right direction. But I'm not sure if I should say yes.
Hmm. Not sure what part of you is not sure? Just close your eyes with me for a second and let's look into this. What's not sure about it? What are you afraid of?
I definitely have, like, a little girl in me that's afraid of making the wrong decision, of accepting, like, you know, continuing to accept things that I don't really want and thereby, like, telling the universe that that's okay when I actually want more.
Yeah.
But this is maybe a bit more than what I'm currently doing.
So your real question is, is it good enough? Is it good enough?
Yeah.
Is it good enough that I'm leveling up? But is it. Is it or is it not good enough that I'm just accepting the old so. So that I'm used to and not changing at all? Should I wait for more? Should I wait for better? It's like dating that man that's almost amazing. You're like, I don't know, maybe he's got amazing material in him if I just keep it up. Or maybe I should just dump, look for somebody else. It's the same. It's the same feeling that I'm getting from you. You know, this job. Yeah.
That's a really good. I feel that way about the job I have right now. A lot of times I'm just like, oh, my God, I do not want to go to work tomorrow.
Yeah. So I think. I think that there is. There are areas of growth in here for you. Meaning I can feel how you would somehow yes. Level up, to use that term again with you, it is a leveling up. It's a. There's a maturation, a maturity. I think that will happen to you with this job. I don't know whether it's a long term job or not, though that is obscured. It feels like if you were to say yes, you would dig in and your question would be, how do I make this be everything I want? And you'd say, well, it's not everything I want. I can't make it. How do you maximize what it can be? And when you reach the place where you've maximized what it can be, are you gonna get stuck or will you move on? That's what you're afraid of. You're afraid of being stuck in it again. You're afraid of making a small move up and being stuck as opposed to waiting for the giant move up. It's the stuck part I think you're worried about. And that's kind of what's pulled you out of the game and kept you, like, temporary or off and on or not fully committed, right?
Yeah, I'm totally commitment folk when it comes to careers.
Yeah. So, you know, you're, you're, you don't like to disappoint people. You don't like to quit. You don't like to say no. It's difficult for you, hard, and you're avoiding that. So in a way, you're avoiding saying yes so that you can avoid saying no. Does that make sense? Does that make sense?
Yeah.
Okay. So you need to go sit inside yourself with that in flow. I'm willing to say no when I need to say no, and I'm allowing myself to say yes. Does this job pick your interest, pique your interest a little bit? Is there anything about it that makes you go, hmm, that could be fun?
Yeah. Yeah, there is. And I did. I told the woman who's the principal of the school, I really love her and I love the people I'll be working with. And I told her, you know, that I'm going to be maybe moving on to a different program in the fall. And she was so cool about it.
Yeah. This is your opportunity to get more. Yeah, you've got to get more comfortable with change. You're looking for a forever home, and you're afraid to disappoint anybody and get locked up in the wrong home. Okay. But you're not a puppy dog from, you know, the pet store, okay? You, you're learning how to let go and accept. And right now, if you're not accepting because you're afraid of letting go. You're in a stalemate. You're not going anywhere. I would take it. I would take it. I wouldn't necessarily think of it as long term, though. I don't really feel long term. And you just told me that you were only thinking for the fall, so. Val, you need to learn how to let go comfortably and know that it's not going to kill you to do so. And then it can be done in a loving and wonderful and perfect way. God, imagine if you mastered that skill in your life. That'd be amazing. Yeah.
Yeah. It would make saying yes a lot less scary, I guess.
Yes. Yes, yes. So work on that. Flow has offered it to you. Your life has offered it to you. Like, sometimes we think life is just offering us all this dumb stuff that we shouldn't do and doesn't make sense. Life and Flow is almost always offering us exactly what we need. It's just us that we say, I don't like that. I don't need that. I don't want to have to say no in a few months. You know, you gotta trust it's here for a reason. Okay, So I personally, if it were me, I would veer to yes, and I would. I would go into it knowing that I'm gonna have to say no. And that's part of the deal.
Okay, that makes sense. Like, really kind of what I was feeling like was probably the right thing, but I was feeling a little bit of fear. And that just so reflects and affirms what I was leaning towards. Something heal.
Oh, I love it. You're so welcome. All right, my dear, take care. I'll see you in class next week. Bye, hon.
Bye.
Yes. So, me school. By the way, you're hearing from MI school students. I do run a year long program where I teach you and I help you and we grow together. And sometimes you're going to hear students talking to me in between classes. You know I'm here, right? This is what I do. This is all part of the same thing. So let's see. Why don't we go to another call and then maybe we'll wrap up after that. And if I don't get to you, I apologize and. Well, we'll get to that in a second. Let's see how many. Let's see. Let's see who I get through right now. Let's try Amy. Amy, you're from Kansas City. How are you?
Yes.
Yes. You're like, yes, I am. Yes, I am. Yes, I'm from Kansas City.
This. I'll be honest, I'm really struggling. And I was in an abusive relationship. He hit me in front of our kids, and we've been gone for a while now. And, you know, I'm being advised to mediate with him because Oregon doesn't consider violence against mothers when they're considering, you know, the custody. And, and, and as far as I know, he has narcissistic personality disorder. And I have tried so hard to be peaceful with him, and I just get a lot of grief all the time from him. He's trying to provoke me. Yeah. You know, but as I'm sitting here listening to the other callers, I feel like maybe I'm asking the wrong question because I'm a psychic and a medium, and, you know, I feel like that's my purpose. And, and what's up with me being blocked from, like, really intuiting my own stuff? Because, you know, I've gone through money flow and I really have developed a better relationship with money. And, you know, even though it. It feels a little tight right now, you know, and, and, you know, some of my streams are going away, but I still feel the faith. And like, my new business, I started a website for my, you know, my psychic business, my medium business. And I am an artist, and so the art thing really caught me, and I'm like, oh, yeah, maybe I'm not charging enough for my artwork.
And in other words, I've really messed with your head here, this show. Yeah, great. You have a lot on the table. Right. So you've got this guy. Is he the dad? Is he the dad of the kids?
Yeah, he's the father of my three children.
Right. Okay. All right. Okay. So you're. You're trying to deal with a situation that you feel is unfair. You're not being seen or the situation is not being seen the way it should be seen.
Yeah.
Okay. So there's a lot of angst around that. You know, whenever imagine this emotional state, I know what's right, and other people cannot see what's right. Like, if you just feel that in your heart, it feels like a big knotted up ball of, you know, black rubber bands or something. You know what's right, but the world can't see you. It's like you're pushing against something that. That is immovable. They can't tell. And you're not. You could. The louder you scream, the more it cannot hear. Okay, that's. That's one energy that you're. You're currently sending out dealing with feeling. Okay. Then you have this other energy of I need income, I need to use my skills. You're empathic, you're intuitive. I can't say it's a rare skill because I've taught a lot of people how to be that way. But what is rare are the people who are willing to walk out and actually use that skill and help other people with that skill. Because it means getting over your own fears. Your fear of being wrong, your fear of looking stupid, your fear of a person hanging up on the line and saying, well, that was worthless. All the stuff that goes on right in your. In your heart. The people who can get past that are a much smaller crew. So you have to choose if you want to be on that crew.
I feel really confident. Yeah, I feel stuck. Like, one thing I feel the most confident about, I mean, it's been probably. I mean, I've always been psychic, even as a kid, but, you know, I've really honed this in. And even through flow dreaming and I'm over all that stuff. I'm just like, I'm ready to roll. Like, what do I do to proclaim off the ground so that I can help people?
Proclaim it. Proclaim it. Show up that way. I mean, do you have a Facebook page that says, you know, my empathic intuition Facebook page. And a website?
I have. You have all at least 20 testimonials on my Facebook page. Previous clients. I have a website, you know, I have my brand.
Ask those clients to refer you. Right. Ask people that you have pleased to tell other people about you. You can brainstorm right after this call, ways that people can hear and learn about you that cost nothing. You can do it. And if you say you can't, I don't think you're really giving yourself credit. You have to. There's something that happens when you kind of unlock your heart just like you did recognize I'm really great at this. The world should know it and reward me for it. Right. There's an energy. It's like stage lights lighting up the stage. When you turn that on inside yourself, and when the stage is lit, the audience can see. Most of us are just walking around with our stage lights. Dark audience can't see us. You energetically open like that. So we have two different things though going on with you. That's one. The other is this ex husband, boyfriend, you know, father, husband. Right, okay, right. And. And this is another place where you can turn it from powerlessness to powerful illness. You walked away from something that was abusive and difficult. You grew. If you didn't grow, you would still be there. You get gold stars all around you right now. Like if I could tape them and paste them to your forehead, I would. That's me licking my thumb, right? You grew. You have validation from the universe now that you've grown. You're not done growing because now you have to deal with all the legal crap. Right. That's going to be more growth. Not just dealing with one difficult person, but dealing with what you feel is a system that doesn't hear you or see you. Probably with the same thing your ex husband didn't do, hear you or see you. Right. So now you're just working on a bigger layer, a bigger level of that same issue. Bigger layer. So how are you going to show up to that? Are you going to show up with love and generosity, resilience and commitment, steadfastness, or you're going to show up with. It's not working. I'm so upset. Oh, he just got another thing. He just won again. What are you going to give into that? Okay, think about that. So if I'm flowing with you, what you're giving to that is steadfastness, commitment. I'm right. I'm doing everything the best I can for my kids. I'm not letting this legal system take anything away from me. Not energetically, not in my heart, not in my day to day. As long as the legal. If I let them do that to me, I am allowing myself to be, you know, second class. I'm not going to do that.
Yeah. And I think it's more about working with him now because, you know, we've already agreed to 50, 50 custody and I have an opportunity to go and stay with an artist friend and we are going on tour to sell our art at festivals and, and I can stay with him for a few months while I save my money. And we're also planning a pretty large music and art festival ourselves.
That sounds exciting. That sounds enormous. I love it.
And so I think I need to float around feeling confident that he and his new girlfriend and their new baby are confident in or, you know, are capable of caring for our three sons while I'm away for a few months and that everything is going to go smoothly when I come back and you.
Know, and come back, here's what I would do. I would go, yeah, I would go into Flo and I would feel all of my love surrounding the kids. My kids are walking in in a protected state. They're experiencing whatever the world and their Lives and their individual destinies want or need them to experience. You are there for them. You are a strong, burning, bright flame in the dark. You're not going anywhere. You are always there. You shadow them as they move into this other world with the X and the a wife and so forth. There's going to be a lot there that's very enriching for them if you can help them see it from the right angle. And as an artist, that's your job in life, helping people see things from a different angle. Okay. Right. Yeah. I'm gonna let you go, my dear Amy. You take care, okay?
Thanks so much.
You're gonna be just fine.
Thank you.
You're welcome. Bye, hon. My, my, my, how fast the hour goes. Holy macaroni. Caitlin and Misty, I see you guys waiting. I'm not gonna be able to get to you today. I'm really sorry about that. I want to spend a couple minutes in flow a little bit. Just a little capping off. I don't always flow dream in each show. Today I'm just gonna do it for one or two minutes. I just want us all to come together. I want you to come in here, close your eyes, relax, relax. Ooh, there's some loud music to relax to. I'm still learning how to run this Feel that you can relax in seconds. Doesn't take minutes, hours, days. There's a little switch you can flip in your mind, in your head, in your heart that goes from, I'm stressed out, I'm worried, I'm anxious to everything's okay and I'm alright and everything is in flow and everything is exactly how it should be in my life. The parts that are working and the parts that don't look like they're working, they're all still working perfectly in my life. See that feel that? You're in flow and your money life, Those money monkeys that we were talking about, they're trying to show themselves to you. They're trying to have you say, we're done. Let go of me. Let go of them. It's your goal. You're letting go of them one after another. I've solved you. I've seen you. I'm done with you. I'm safe, I'm secure, I'm taking care of and I can always take care of myself. All is well. All is well in me and in my life. And you hold that even now. Coming back and returning from flow. And there you go. A little teensy movement in the flow. Quick one. Some shows we spend longer in flow. And sometimes we spend a very short amount of time. I have this feeling, though, that this whole hour we've been all moving increasingly back into alignment, back into a thinking state, a state of our being, our approach that is way more in alignment than when we began the hour. At least I feel that way sometimes. When you listen by proxy, right, you're listening to other people move back into flow. It's like a force. It's like gravity. You pull back into flow, too. You don't listen to the show to hear about bad things going on in other people's lives. You listen to it because you're hearing how people are making course corrections and pulling back into where they need to go so that you can be swept into that same energy that is the point of flow Dreaming and this program. All right, so with that, I am going to say goodbye and I love you all and I sure hope the levels and sound of this program went really well today. This is our third week in our new studio and as always, every week, just like in your life, a little bit more gets worked out, it gets a little bit better, and it moves a little more forward and up.
