Summer McStravick explores emotional triggers as growth opportunities rather than problems to avoid. She offers practices to feel and transform triggers, and takes listener calls for medium readings, grief support, and guided emotional work.

Flow Dreaming.
It's a show where we talk about the power of your mind to change your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. We talk about this feeling of hope and joy and relief. And that is what being aware of your flow does. It gives you a feeling of power again in your lives. Breathe. I'm Summer McStravik and welcome to another episode of Flow Dreaming. Welcome. Hi, I'm Summer, and here I am live with you for another episode of Flow Dreaming. It's funny, you know, I've been talking for a month or more now about the new studio I'm putting together. And what this has meant is that I have had to really brush up on my own audio board skills. And last week we tried to go live and. And we got, I don't know, halfway through and it was just like, mission abort, mission abort. So hopefully we're getting ever closer to a beautiful, seamless finish. Thank you guys for bearing with me as we work out the various kinks that come along with new computers, new audio equipment, even new locations. Right. We have our own studio build out going on, so every time we get something set and perfect, we change it by the time the next week rolls around. So all part of an exciting new development you guys have been hearing about. Inflowradio.com it will be lifting off in the spring. And I just sent out an email letting you know that if you're interested in being an Inflow Radio ambassador, which means a spokesman for the station, let me know. We're going to create a really fun kind of, I don't know, community where listeners, you have a lot of involvement and say so, and we can feature you and maybe even have you call in sometimes and do our station IDs, fun stuff like that. So just be on my mailing list. Basically. You can go to flow dreaming.com or you can go to inflow radio.com and I'll be leaking little bits and pieces about what's going on as we go through it. It's kind of cool to watch a studio being built, to watch an online network being built, and I thought it'd be fun to kind of document it as it goes along. So that's another thing I'm doing on the Inflow Radio Facebook group page. So check that out and you'll get to see some fun pictures of things that we're doing and, you know, bits of offices that are big messes and stuff like that. Anyway, so that's the latest, greatest update from Flow Dreaming Inflow Radio. World. Yes, Flow Dreaming will be broadcast on Inflow Radio along with a lot of your other soon to be favorite shows. That is my goal, that you will just be like, oh, it's my favorite station in the whole world. It makes me feel so good and it infuses me with ideas. So let's get on to today's topic. By the way, yes, I would love to take your calls now. I know I've been confusing you because sometimes I've been doing surprise replays and encores. In other words, that's when I rebroadcast a show that I've already recorded. And sometimes I'm live. Well, at the moment, I'm live. However, you might be listening as podcast in which I'm not live. So you're just gonna have to figure this out. But if you want to call me, it's 760-456-7277. That's a US number, so you want to dial a 1.760-456-7277. You can also listen to this episode either through itunes or Stitcher or Tunein or even my own website. I always put it up right after I do the in case we're talking on air. This happens a lot and you are completely like, you know, you know, dear deer in the headlights going on and you have no idea what we talked about. You can go right back and listen to it afterwards. So looking forward to talking with you, hopefully later in the show. Those of you who realize I actually am live right now. Our topic. Fun, fun, fun, fun. Our topic. Triggers. Ooh, triggers, triggers, triggers, triggers. I was thinking about this topic a while back, in fact. Well, sorry, if you hear these little mouse clicks and things, it's me. My mouse is directly under the microphone right now in the little rinky dink kind of setup I have as we're moving. And I can't. You just have to hear it. So you hear me clicking along in the background. But when I first was planning the show, feeling triggered. So odd. Of course you plan shows and then all kinds of stuff comes up to sort of validate, verify and prepare you to talk about such topic that have decided on. So feeling triggered. Yes. All right, I was not exactly asking you, universe, to give me a bunch of triggers, but perhaps, perhaps that's what you exactly did. Just to give you an idea, I've had crazy technological triggers this week. My main computer, my big baby that I do everything on, my good old imac, walked in Monday morning to my office and it would not turn on dead As a doornail, you know that feeling and you have that momentarily panic, freak out, trigger, trigger. Oh my God, how am I going to get through the week? Then I get a call the very next day. Well, actually not the next day, that last night, come to think of it, because this was all yesterday. And the Apple Store says, oh, by the way, your battery replacement is here. You better get in or we're going to give it up to someone else. So I'm currently without my main computer or my phone and I feel like I'm on a tech, what do they call it, a tech diet. Have you heard about that? They're very popular, by the way, where you go without tech, you go without connectivity. So this has just happened to me and I'm trying not to be triggered by it. Triggered meaning how am I going to get things done? Flow or universe? My life is saying to me, we have other plans, we have something else in store for you. Chill out, back off. And what this is actually for me to do for the last couple of days and tomorrow and probably most of this week is to return to some of the things that are not on my main computer, right? That means the projects that don't require all my big old programs and checking ins and logins to all my main major stuff, it requires me to think about writing newsletters to you to dream up new show ideas, to dream up new flow dream ideas, to reach out and talk to new hosts who may be interested in inflowradio.com, these things that normally I may not have at the very top of my list, I'm being asked to do because all my other options have been withdrawn. So what I'm sharing with you right now is how I'm taking a trigger and I'm transforming it. And this is a skill. This is a skill that, God, I wish we had all learned when we were, you know, 10 years old, 8 years old, instead of, oh, you feel better in a minute, have a cookie or don't worry about it, everything will turn out fine, or just, you know, keep going and everything will. You know what? All the things that we were told that we tell our kids, it's a habit. Instead of saying, gosh, this is really upsetting you, why do you think this came up for you? Why do you think this is here? Like, honor it? Normally we just try and brush it under the rug or we just try and, you know, ignore it or get through it or get past it. A bit of denial, a bit of not wanting to deal with a. A bit of just letting it just go. Why not ask instead? Why is this trigger here? If I really believe that life gives me what I need when I need it, then I can't be picky and choosy. I can't just say life is only giving me the good stuff, right? It's giving me the good stuff when I need it. It's giving me that beautiful, perfect new opportunity. It's giving me that fantastic first date. It's giving me that whatever it may be that you're wishing for and hoping for, it's on your big list. It's also giving you some kind of crummy things sometimes. It's giving you people who walk in your life and they're mean, right? Funny, I was, My mom was down and she, she brought a friend of hers that she's been talking with for a long time and I've been talking with, and she's a medium too, and, and the three of us were sitting out in the backyard and we were chit chatting about how when we have done a lot of sessions for people and we've all, all three of us have done, you know, hundreds if not thousands of sessions for people, we were saying how most of our sessions center around something that is triggering someone. I mean, that's what it is. It's a trigger session. Because the person has not figured out how the trigger is fitting into their life or they've not figured out how to deal with the trigger. They simply were not taught. Imagine if you were taught how to deal with a trigger. So instead they're coming to us and they're saying, what's going on? I don't understand. Why is this happening to me? Why is this person being mean? Why is this person ignoring me? Why is this person, you know, shutting me out, not texting me? Why did this person fire me? Why is this person walking out on me? Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Triggers, triggers, triggers. Most of our triggers are in fact coming from other people. I mean, close your eyes right now, think of your latest trigger. I bet you 99% of you right now are thinking about something someone else did or didn't do most of the time, right? My example of all of my, you know, technological things kind of getting me anxious, right? Anxiety, that is a trigger. Triggers don't just mean you get mad or upset or feel wounded or hurt. Sometimes they can just raise your anxiety level, send you into a state of confusion, self doubt, feeling behind the ball. Trigger, I consider a trigger anything that brings up a Negative emotion, anything. If it makes you irritable, it's trigger. If it makes you anxious, trigger. If it makes you angry, trigger. If it makes you feel forlorn, forgotten, unhappy, lost, overlooked, trigger, trigger, trigger, trigger. Those are all negative emotions and they're all there for a reason. Sometimes we get caught up in personal development, thinking, oh, we need to clear every single negative emotion out of our life. And to a certain degree, yeah, I kind of agree with that. You know, I skew real Buddhist when it comes to that. You know, let's get rid of all suffering. But on the other hand, most of that suffering is indeed being brought to us by someone we know and love and care about, or even someone we don't know. You know, sometimes I'll, I'll even tell you guys about some of the hate mail I get or you know, some of the emails that, you know, they're so bad, they're so mean, they're so triggered. And they're sending them to me. I just, you know, I can't even, I have to laugh, otherwise I would just be sobbing. And that just comes with the territory, right? My job often is to trigger people. What do you do in personal growth? You trigger people, you know, half the time, yes, we're building self worth and we're building self awareness. But to get, you often have to uncover some things that are getting in your way, right? These certain hold backs. And that uncovery process is, you guessed it, you guys want to say it with me, Trigger, trigger, trigger, trigger, trigger. So what do you see what I'm getting at here? Can you tell me, can you take a wild guess? What are triggers for? What are triggers for? Why do we have them? We have triggers because they help us grow. If you really want to reach that state of enlightenment, if you really want to reach that state of Buddhist absolute chill perfection, if you want to be in the moment, if you want to be mindful, then you're aware of when the negative emotion comes up, where it came from, who helped you to feel it? Right, That's a great way of putting it. Who helped you to feel it? Now that person isn't the meanie weenie in your life. They're helping you feel something. Why are they helping you feel it? And maybe this person is helping you feel it because they are in fact doing a bad, bad thing, right? You know, let's say you're witnessing an act of cruelty against someone else. It's a bad, bad thing. They are triggering you to take action. They're triggering you to take a Stand to speak your truth, to protect someone. Maybe they're doing something irrational that's really upsetting you. Someone in your family is spending all their money in a terrible, terrible way and you're just freaking out and you want to step in and control it. And they're triggering you because it's making you feel powerless about someone you love. How do you handle that? Because that's exactly the kind of thing that will never lead you to never lead you to that beautiful state of no suffering. Isn't that where you want to go? No suffering? Isn't that what the happy all the time and happier, happier movement is all about? No suffering. So you need to be happy through your triggers. You need to turn your triggers around, see them for what they are. Thank you for helping me have this experience. Thank you for helping me have this trigger. Because you know what? It's one that I want to understand and work out. Look at it like this. Take a long bird's eye view. The more triggers you understand and learn to react to and even preact to in a perfect and beautiful way, the quicker they solve, the quicker they up level for you, the quicker you move through them. And you know what? Oftentimes the things that you end up moving through are things that you don't need to move through again, right? Because you already solved it the second time something like this comes around. The tenth or hundredth time it comes around, you've solved it and you've solved it and you solved it. You ever feel you ever had something happen in your life where after a while you become a lot less triggered by it? You reach a state of acceptance or you reach a state of I handled that. Or you reach a state of this isn't my problem anymore. Or my boundaries are so much stronger now, it doesn't affect me or my self worth has grown so much that I'm good, right? I'm really good. And it doesn't move me the way it used to before. It was always there, calling attention, right? Triggers are usually and often, not all the time, but usually and often. Triggers are calling attention to a deficit in us. And if you're in personal growth, we are all about solving and upgrading those deficits. Because deficits are like wounds. You know, they're sore spots, they're low spots where things collect and then they stagnate and then they get grimy and icky. We are here to lift those low spots, to figure them out. So a fun little exercise for you is to list three triggers that you have right now. Ongoing in your life. Three things that get you riled, Three things that get you riled. And then chances are there's a person or people attached to them. How are those people helping you to experience the trigger? Right, put that down in another column next to what the trigger is. Who are these people or things, and how are they helping you experience the trigger? Maybe they're not a person. Maybe it's your iPhone and your imac. Like me, I'm obviously a Mac person. Not a very good advertisement for Max right now with two of mine DOA in the shop, but nonetheless, there you go. Now, as you look at these triggers, what are they asking from you? What are they asking from you? Not the other person. You don't want to sit around asking the other person to solve them. You know what? Because they may not even be a trigger for the other person. That's even more infuriating, isn't it? The other person is going along, doing their fine old thing, acting the way they act. They're not triggered. You are. And yet you want them to solve your trigger. What is in their best interest to do that? What's in their personal, selfish interest to do that? Probably nothing. It's not their job to solve your trigger. Sometimes if they love you, they're gonna help you and work on it with you. But sometimes they're actually there to be that what I call them before a meanie weenie. I've had some major villains in life. I mean, big, big villains. Making me think of another story. Oh, today is storytelling day. Another story. A friend of mine came by that I worked with many, many years ago, and we were. God, we really just shot through several hours talking together. He was recording me for his podcast. I'll give a shout out to Mooney. And we were talking about the major villains in our past. And, you know, it was really fun because something that we both saw was how our understanding of the villain had really shifted. And, you know, one of my. One of my realizations, and this almost always happens with every big villain that I've had, big trigger maker is another way of saying it. A big trigger maker in my life is, gosh, if I hadn't gone through that, if I hadn't done that, if you hadn't been so, so, so bad, so, so, so, so mean, gone to the real depths of it with me, I never would have solved something at that level. And you know what? It's funny because solving things is pretty much what I do now, right? But how am I going to solve stuff for other People if I haven't solved it for myself. So I have been gifted with all of these triggers. Cancer, right? My breast cancer. Major trigger. Trigger of life and death. Fear. Fear. Fear. Ptsd. Emotional healing. Oh, my God. Put me on a roller coaster journey for several years. The latest trigger that I've had to resolve. Wow. It brings up negative, scary emotion. What do I do with it? Why are you here? How did you help me create this? How do I want to be with you instead? Because ultimately, I know I have the choice how I want to feel about something. And I don't mean, you know, whitewashing. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You guys say it with me. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Whitewashing. We don't do that. Whitewashing is when we bury our heads in the sand and say, this isn't happening. I'm fine. Everything is wonderful. I'm so above all of it, you know? And really, we're agonizing and we're crying into the sink at night, and our guts are all twisted. Plugged it in our heart yet? No. You go all the way in and you say to this trigger, you say to this thing, what do you need me to solve? Because I am choosing how I feel. And the only way I can do that is for me to take the power and choose myself. What do I need to do to feel differently? How do I need to look at this situation, change the situation, be in the situation, get out of the situation, accept the situation, or even just question and. And possibly put it out there that the universe, my future, my life may have something for me on the other side of this. Because I think it does. That is how you move through a trigger. Just feel it for a second. Feel it. You're moving through your triggers. All of them, one after another, cleaning them up, Right? It's like going through every room in your house, cleaning even the junk drawers, even the basement, even all the junk in that one bedroom. Clean, clean, clean. What are you left with? A house that's beautiful, inviting, lovely, comforting. Feels right. You walk through it. You don't feel any guilt. How often do you close that room, close that door to your junk room? Why? Because you feel guilty about it. Feel like I could do better, but I'm not. Clean up all the triggers. That's why they're coming to you. Clean them up. That's how you live pure. That's how you live clean. That's how you live free. It's how you live happy. All right. Ooh I see calls coming in. Fantastic. Lori Alexa, I'm talking about you. In fact, all of you. Donna Latasha, all of my coaches, everybody. I'm very, very lucky that I have such who are all on board with me. I never thank them enough. So. Oh my gosh. Maybe this is what my media diet is causing me to do. Like I said, it's like I'm reaching into all of these new things and you know, I was thinking I was. Yesterday I spent a good half hour with my son and we just watched an episode of Futurama together on the couch in the middle of the day, which I usually don't give myself the luxury of doing. So something is here for me. Do you see? Something is always for you inside the trigger. So at the same time you're trying to get rid of triggers in your life. The bigger goal, eliminate them. On the other hand, when you have them, you go, thank you. Thank you. What will I do with you? What do you need from me? How can I be different in this? What's the challenge in this? Because I trust you, right? And I trust you to bring me the good things. And I trust you with the bad things to do too. You can't be a cherry picker in the game of life. Especially not when you are a co creator. Okay, phone calls, phone calls, phone calls. Let's see how it goes with you guys on air. I think I'm gonna go with Dawn. Hi, Don. You're live. Do you hear me?
Hello, can you hear me?
Oh, yes, I can. Woo. Goodness. Hi.
Hey Summer. It's Dawn Wonder and I was one of your diamonds.
Oh my gosh. Yes.
It's been a long time, but I wanted to say congratulations. All this wonderful news that I've been reading and seeing and now hearing, I just am so happy for you and for everyone that we get to experience you Flow radio. I'm just so excited about it.
Oh, thank you. It's so good to hear from you. I love it when I hear from voices from the past. Yes. Things are changing. I mean, 15 years of flow Dreaming.
Everything that you continue to talk about with Flow dreaming, it really is right on. I just wanted everybody to know that. Just the difference it's made in my life and through my business, everything. So thank you, Summer. You're just an inspiration. And I just had to call and tell you that.
Oh, that is so sweet. So you don't have a question or do you?
Well, you know, the one question I did have was, you know, I'm seeing things, information coming in about the people that you're going to have on. Can you tell us about your format? What's coming up for the radio show?
Sure, sure. A little sneak peek. Yeah. So a lot of. I don't know, actually. I assume people always know this, but they don't, so I'll just state it again. Yes. Hay House Radio was my baby. I built it and I made it and produced all the shows. Had a very long show with Wayne Dyer for many. And what's happened is since leaving Hay House, I was able to build Flow Dreaming out into the size it needed to be to reach the world and to reach everybody who needed it. I'm coming to this point where I just don't know what it is. It just hit me and maybe I did my typical little avoiding and pushing away for a little bit, a couple of months at least. Least. And then I realized I have to have another station. I need to do a new station, a 2.0 version of what I did before. So to that end, it is a live broadcast network, meaning live shows just like this, where all of the hosts get to talk with callers, if they so choose. It'll run five days a week, seven days a week. Just depends on, you know, how many live shows that I have. And then when the live shows are done, they're going to go into a podcast archive. So really it's a combined live programming and podcast, and I'm curating it so that it will just be speaking into the areas of conscious business, health and wellness, spirit and intuition. And what's my other one? I know I'm forgetting one or two. Coaching and personal development and finally society and culture. You know, the kind of the catch all for the other shows that are kind of in our realm. But you know how like. Like, it's like if you have an interest in one of these areas, you usually have an interest in in other areas. You know what I mean? Oh, dawn, where did you go? Goodness sakes, you dropped. I wonder what happened Well, I guess maybe you had to go or maybe, maybe that's my system. Maybe the tech things are actually following me after all for my flawless, not so flawless show. Anyway, so great. Quick question and thank you. But yeah, that's where we're heading. So I just want the best curated content. So it's, it's been an overwhelmingly positive response that I've been receiving. People are coming out of the woodwork. People that I produced years ago are popping up in my inbox and it's just, it's just, it's just astounding. So I am definitely going with the flow on that. Let's go now to Gretchen. Gretchen, another fantastic diamond. Hello, my dear.
Hi, Summer. Thanks for taking my call.
Yes, how are you? It's so fun to hear you in this other context.
Yeah, I actually just, I called in, I just out of the blue and I can't believe I got through. So. Yeah, yeah, doing good. I'm planning out the year and doing some brainstorming for work and tackling my to do list and you know, as you know, my husband passed away recently, so I'm dealing with some, a lot of stuff around that and I find myself getting triggered with the grief sometimes just kind of out of the blue and.
Guys, that's a great conversation.
I've been flow dreaming.
Yeah, the trigger of grief, right, the trigger. Because grief is. Grief will trigger you too. I didn't throw that into the list of negative emotions, but there it is, right? So when, when grief comes up, it's a trigger and you cry and you process. I mean, and that's, this is really a beautiful example. You have to process, you have to move through it, you know, and the only, sometimes the only way out is through. And so the trigger of grief is what is getting you through. So, you know, it's not one of those emotions that I would say don't feel or change how you feel about it. It just allow yourself to go into it and understand, I'm not fighting this trigger. Not fighting it. Do you get it? I mean, a lot of people do fight the trigger of grief. They don't want it. It's. It hurts.
Some sometimes if I'm at work or if I'm in a, you know, around other people, sometimes it is too painful to think about and I'll distract myself.
Right. Well, you also aren't necessarily wanting to share it with other people. And if you're crying in front of them, you are bringing them into your experience. And sometimes we feel guilty about that. We feel bad like nobody else will want to feel this with me. So we shut it down on ourselves so as to shield them. So that's a question you can ask, do I need to shield them or not? You know, why. Why is suddenly someone else's discomfort or possible discomfort more important than my own discomfort? So I don't know, something to think about.
Is it possible for you to check on my husband or check on Rusty?
Okay, well, let's see. Last time I saw him. So for anybody who doesn't know what I'm doing, I use the medium of flow to both create in, co create in, make stuff in, but you can also read it. And everybody is in flow all the time. I consider it to be sort of our quantum reality. It's where our consciousness exists. Yes, it's also in your brain, but it's also outside of your brain. So you can be in a body or out of a body, but you are still there. Your consciousness is still existing. So if I'm going to go take a look at Rusty, I'm to going just saying hi to him out of his body. And the last time I looked, Gretchen's one of my private students. So you know, we work together every month. The last time I looked, he was doing amazing. So let me just see if I can do a real quick hi, how are ya? And see where he is at right now. Rusty, Rusty, Rusty. I'm a friend of Gretchen's and we're going to feel you. Where are you at? What are you up to? So this time he's not quite as exuberant. He feels more serious, he feels more thoughtful. I'm getting this feeling and it's like he's saying he's going into some new. He's starting to study, he's thinking, he's expanding his. I don't want to say it's like back to school on the other side, but it is a bit like that. You know, before he was kind of vacationing. But I can feel like he's run into some things that have really piqued his interest. He's feeling more studious, he's feeling more serious, he's feeling more grounded. And of course he loves you. He is still very much with you around you. Just the same way he told me he was before. Just that. Just the same degree of he had. He's not going back on his promise that we talked about before. He's still very aware, you know, this little gap of time. That's how. What's it been? Just a couple of weeks. It's not like a couple of weeks to him. He's not in time. There's a different. A whole different set of rules out there. So we can shift our beingness enormously in short periods of time. And likewise, we can also go into these kind of stasis periods where we don't shift at all for long periods of time. It's just up to the individual, what they're opening up to inside themselves. So that's the latest news from Rusty Land.
Okay, thank you. That's kind of like he's maybe going through another healing phase or something. On. Yeah, on the other side.
Yeah, it's a healing, but it's something where he's kind of really. You know, it's like the. The sailing, the islands is, you know, still there. But now he's. He's spending a lot more time in reflection and thoughtful inquisition, asking, wondering, learning. So we're just gonna let him be there. Okay. All right, my dear, thank you for your call. Stay well.
Sorry, I'm having a hard time hearing you sound really far away.
Oh, no, I sound. I hear you so much, Summer. Alrighty. Thank you for taking a look at him.
I really appreciate it.
No worries. You take care, my dear. Bye.
All right, love you, Summer. Bye.
Love you too. Bye. Oh, and I just was gonna go to my next caller and bloop. She disappeared. She. She. She disappeared the same time that I. That I dropped Gretchen. Oh, wait, no, someone's coming back. Hold on, hold on. Here she is. Oh, excellent. Let's go. So let's go to Jamie. Hi, Jamie, it's Summer. Do you hear me? Oh, Jamie, it's Summer. Do you hear me?
I can hear you. Can you hear me?
Yes. You're a little quiet, so I'm gonna raise your levels. Do I sound quiet? I was quiet. Okay, cool. I was quiet for Gretchen. How do I sound?
You sound better. You were a little quiet earlier, but you sound better.
Oh, wonderful.
So, okay, so this is Jamie Milestone candles, girl.
Oh, lovely, lovely. I have your candle still. It's not fully burned.
Oh, I'm so glad. Well, I'm making so many fun new ones. So 2017 in a nutshell was an s storm, if you know what I mean.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Your topic today about triggers was, like, so on point and failure and rejection and all these fun things I wrote down. When you said three, I wrote down about 30. And then all of a sudden, after. After 2018 just came and I just got to a point where I was just like, enough like enough.
Yeah.
And I stopped like going like 10 months into the future and just said, you know what? I'm gonna go two hours into the future and I'm really loving my business and I'm really feeling it and I'm gonna go peaceful and I'm gonna feel ease and I'm gonna see these opportunities and I'm not gonna completely just. I don't know where it came from. It was just the weirdest thing. And I'm actually fearful to be happy, if that makes any sense.
What? Why are you fearful of being happy? That's crazy, my dear.
Because that's just, that's just not allowed in my family DNA. I mean, come on.
Yes, yes.
So it's a very odd new feeling, but it, you know, it just keeps happening and I'm just, I just did some new concepts and they just. I found this new artist and it just, it's like rocking and I'm just like, But I'm like, oh my God, oh my God. When's the bubble gonna burst? Oh my God, oh my God. Yeah, but it's not bursting, it's not leaking, it's not even squeaking. It's just, it's maintaining. The stasis has stayed and it's kind of weird.
Well, let me, let me clue you into a specific pattern. It's the I am unable to be content because I don't trust being content pattern. Okay? Some people are built like this. You are always in a little hamster wheel of racing toward contentment. If I just do this, if I just earn this much, if I just sell this many candles, if I just get them in this many stores, if I just get my website done, if I just. Right. And you're just always just rolling, rolling, rolling along, doing things to lead you to that state of contentment. Well, what happens when contentment comes? You look at it like, what are you. Wait a second, you're not going to stay. You won't last. I can't trust you. I better get back to leading the things that are going to help me be content instead of staying in the contentment. And then we worry if we stay too long in the contentment, we're gonna lose it. It's gonna disappear, it's gonna run away from us.
It's gonna go away.
Yes, yes.
Yeah, but it's so exhausting being in that pattern. It's literally exhausting. I mean, so this contentment pattern, and I've been trying to flow in it in yoga, like my yoga teacher did. This heart opening breath Thing on Sunday, and I just started to ball like a baby.
Yeah.
And I'm like 47 years old, and I'm like, what? Like, I cried maybe like six, you know, every six months. Like, I was just like, what? Like. So I don't know if I'm talking to my angel guides more or they're just watching me more or, you know, I'm trying to really look at some sort of. Sort of spiritual answer to this shift, and I'm trying to embrace it. And I think I'm a very logical person. And I don't know if they're paying attention to me more or I'm just accepting them more or I'm accepting me more and I don't give a shit anymore. Excuse my language.
So here.
I don't know.
Do this with me. Do this with me. Close your eyes with me. Right? Let's feel a little flow together. Feeling a little flow. Just releasing, letting go. Take a deep breath, just like you do in yoga. Let your whole body relax. There's no tension, and you're just letting go. You're letting go into these feelings of how everything is going well for you. This year is already starting very differently for you. You turn the corner, what you had been experiencing, you're no longer. You're going in a new direction, New doors are opening, new opportunities are coming. Your way feels really good. And you're realizing, I can relax. If I relax, nothing bad will happen to me. If I enjoy and drink in the pleasure of all of this, if I let myself trust this, I trust this. Good things are on the move. I've earned it, and they're here with me. Flow. I'm flowing into them. It's like releasing, falling forward, dropping down, knowing that you're flying. You are caught and held in your flow, in your forward momentum for all of this here, you already turned that corner. It's done. You don't have to keep working up to turning the corner. It's been turned. Release and just let yourself feel the contentment, the joy and the support. The support is all around you. The support is crashing in like beautiful waves of light coming all around you. You support vision, help, notoriety, getting out there. It's all around you. Your company is building, your vision is building, your network is building, your retailers, whoever, however, you're just getting them out there. It's building because they want it. They want you. You are content in this. And when you work, you feel this. You feel the joyful way that you're working. You're singing. You find yourself Whistling while you work. Busy, busy lady. Loving it, enjoying it. And yet able to sign out easily, comfortably, at the end of the day. No overwork, no overdrive. You're exactly where you need to be. You feel that relief. You earned it. It's staying.
I do. It's so cool.
Yeah.
It's like you say, yoga for the mind.
I call it a form of emotional reconditioning. Right. The same way you do yoga for the body and you do yoga for the mind. But we're doing yoga for the emotions. Right? We're creating a new emotional setup. We're deciding what it is. We feel what it is. And then we keep re giving the universe. Re gifting the universe with those same emotions. Emotions that we are deciding to feel until eventually we actually get them so embedded in us that that's how we are. We've changed. Right.
That's so rad.
Yeah. Beautiful.
It's just amazing. I love it.
You keep doing it.
Thank you.
Yes. You keep doing it. Keep feeling that. Hold onto that flow, dream. Hold on to that state of being. Right. That we just walked you into. And I expect some beautiful things for me this year.
Thank you. I'm happy and I love what I do. Every time I make a candle, I smell it, and I'm just like, these smells so good. I make lots of things for people that they will feel good when they get them. And that feels good.
Yes, yes.
And it's not about the money. It's about, like. It just feels good. It's like my little way of giving back, you know, It's. It's just. It's. It's great. It's so cool.
So a little shout out. Thank you.
Thank you, thank you.
You're listening to the owner of, okay, Milestone Candles. And I think Milestone can. Milestonecandles.com they celebrate things for you. She sent one to me for my breast cancer recovery. My dear, congratulations. I'm so excited for your new radio show.
Thank you. Bye.
Take care.
Bye. All right, looks like we do have a little bit of time to go into a little bit of flow together. We'll do a short one. Just a few minutes. Close your eyes with me, and I'm going to play some pretty little music to kind of get you in the mood. All right? So here we go. You hear that? I hope you hear that. Nice. Just relax. Take a deep breath. Being in flow is not about struggle, stress. It's not about force. Being flow is allowing, letting go, being in sync, being in alignment, Yin being flow is recognizing that you are co creating. Being in flow means that you have a perfect path, a perfect destination and you're heading toward it. You're going there. You don't have to look for it, find it, struggle. It already exists. It's been there forever. It is part of you. Being in flow means recognizing that the struggles and the triggers in your life are gifts, ways for you to see how and when you fall out of flow, when you fall out of alignment, you fall away from source energy, you fall away from God, from whatever you call it. These are opportunities, little blinks of moments, of time, emotions, negativity, saying, how do you get back into your space again? How do you get back into your room, right space? How do you get back into your flow? Say thank you triggers. Thank you triggers. Thank you people. Thank you situations. From here forward, I will learn to master having you in my life. Master the experience of going through you, of feeling you master it. No longer powerless, no longer whipped around by it. I am in flow with you now. I am bringing all my triggers into flow, allowing them to smooth out, to untangle, to yield and reveal themselves to me and walk in partnership, not resistance. Thank you flower. This is what we do together. And now you feel yourself returning and you come back back from flow. Feel that. That was a tiny little example of what it means to go into that flow space, a timeless space, out of time, out of our reality. You really literally, literally daydream your way in. Daydreaming. You disconnect like this all the time. So natural. Well, take it to the next place. Utilize it the way it was gifted to you in your life to become. Rise up, learn to flow, dream. And with that, my darlings, I think we had Estella show. Thank you, thank you, all of my awesome callers, all of you guys, my awesome listeners.
