Flow Dreaming.
It's a show where we talk about the power of your mind to change your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. We talk about this feeling of hope and joy and relief. And that is what being aware of your flow does. It gives you a feeling of power again in your lives.
Breathe.
I'm Summer McStravik, and welcome to a another episode of Flow Dreaming. Hello, everyone, it's Summer. Welcome to Flow Dreaming. Oh, today is so exciting, really. I mean, just so many levels of excitement happening here. So first of all, big hats off to Brian, our new studio engineer. He counted me in. He's like, the mic is hot. You're in in 5, 4, 3, 2. And I'm like, oh, I missed this. So happy, happy. Many of you know this show from 2005, when it first began broadcasting. And I'm realizing, what is that? Thirteen years later, I am starting a new network. It's sort of like having a career when you're young and then you. You kind of get to redo the same career when you're older and more seasoned and quite a bit wiser, I might add, I hope at least. And that's the feeling that I have today as I am debuting on Inflow Radio. You guys have heard me. I've been talking about this for the last few episodes. Just kind of mentioning, hey, I'm working hard on it. Working hard on it, really. Inflow Radio birthed from this desire to get Flow Dreaming back out there, back to you, back live to reach a global audience in a really interactive way where I can talk with you again. That started me thinking, hey, where can I do this and how can it be done? And because I'm a Virgo and I have pretty perfecting, exacting standards, the question was, how can I get this done right? So Inflow Radio, obviously, is the birthed child of Flow Dreaming. Weird, right? Weird thought, but it kind of is, right? It's kind of like the company that got born from the first company, and I call them companies and quotes. They're. They're, you know, two different and separate beings, but they work together very well. So welcome, welcome, welcome to the new channel. And with that, I was thinking, you know, I would love to rebrand and rebirth this show as well. So in the coming weeks, you're going to hear some differences. One of the things is I've been on a kind of teaching binge for the last year or so with Flow Dreaming. I've been teaching, teaching, teaching subject, subject, subject. And I would like to take a Little breather from that and go explore, explore, explore. So we're going to be starting soon, a special series. The special series is going to be looking at all things sort of related to flow, related to woo, related to energy, related to intuition. But I really, really want to go far afield. I did this years back when I got into a real big science binge. Some of you may remember that that was around 2008, 9, 10. Now I'm just going to be looking at people who fascinate me. What do you do? How are you doing it? What's it like to be you? What's it like to do this thing that you do? I want to explore certain topics. You know, I mentioned, I think in a, in a past episode. I want to explore miracles. I want to hear your stories about miracles. By the way, if you've had some miracles, give me a call, right? Email me, let me know because I'm putting together a show in a couple weeks on all of our experiences with miracles. Ditto for some other ideas that fascinate me. So that's where we're going to go. We're going to shift formats and we're really just going to take this time to look into the world, you know, just see it from a different perspective, a different light through the lens of energy as we've done all along. Enough said. I would love to talk with you guys and hear what's on your mind, what's been in your heart, hear how you've been. Maybe I can help you with something. Maybe you just want to say hi and congratulations or you suck. I don't know. Whatever you want to share though, I've got my finger on the button. I can drop you in a hot second, right? So say something nice. No, no, I'm just kidding. We're aware of course this week that the, the, the, you know, the, the station, the website, it still has some bugs. Any new technology has bugs. So if you're seeing things that aren't showing up in your correct showtime, don't worry, we know about it or working on it. And these things are going to be ironed out as we move through. So let's jump right in, let's go to some calls and. Yes, yes, yes, course we're going to do some flow dreaming today as well. I need it, maybe you guys need it. But I would love a big dose of alignment and chill factor and good things and ease. I really am looking forward to that a little bit later on. So let's go ahead right now and take let's take Misty. Misty, you're from Kentucky. Welcome to. Hey, swimmer.
Congratulations.
Oh, thank you. Have we spoken before?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, you're okay. I recognize you. I'm just checking because I don't see last names, so I don't know. How are you? Have you been?
I'm hanging in there, but I have a few questions about some things going on. What you tell me about my ex husband was on the money back in December.
Oh, good. Oh, oh, good. Okay. So we talked a few months ago. Awesome. What's happening? What do you need help with? Or do you just want to say hi and. And. And I'm glad you're back. Maybe you are.
Well, I am glad you're back. I missed you. But my main concern right now is money and issues around money, like where I've been really sick and not able to work and stuff like that. I'm just wondering what you're seeing, you know, if you see anything coming up in the near future.
Ah, okay. So what's happened? Why did you. Did you quit? Did you voluntarily sort of take yourself out of work?
No, I haven't worked in like seven years because I have the severe, chronic debilitating migraines. And when my husband and I were married, he was the provider.
Right. And now. Now not okay, because I'm just looking at you. And the reason I asked that is you feel very pulled back, like. Like your energy is withheld from the world of work. There is a block there. There is a. I just. It's like. It's like. It's like everything has been dammed up. I'm seeing a big dam in my mind, you know, like the kind that hold water back from flowing downstream. You've built a dam up in yourself over the years, and this dam has been created by lots and lots of thoughts. I can't work. I don't want to work now. I don't know what to do. If I were even wanting to work, it's like brick by brick, these. These thoughts, thoughts, thoughts. So when you think about going back into work, it's not an easy, simple, like, oh, yeah, I'm just gonna, you know, go back in and get some work done. And, you know, it'll be great and flexible. It'll work around my migraines. It'll work, you know, around this debilitating. And believe me, I know migraines can be incredibly debilitating. But the emotion that you have behind it is, it's gonna be hard. It's gonna be tough. It's been so long. It's a thing. Thick wall of rejecting energy. That's what I feel right now.
So you're not the edge of a breakthrough. Does that sound.
Yep, that's what I'm saying. You're right. Or look, you're. You're facing the wall, you're facing the energy. And just like a dam that has to break, you have to punch through. You have to say, my energy is spilling over the top. It's breaking the concrete. You know how in a dam breaks? It just totally breaks. It's not like you get a little tiny break. It's like one break and the whole thing comes washing down. Okay.
Yeah. That's kind of what just happened.
Okay, so this is. You go into flow with me right now and just feel this. Right. I am wanting to work. I am wanting, wanting. I'm excited. I'm ecstatic. It feels wonderful. It's going to be a perfect fit. Everything that's happened over the last nine years doesn't matter. That period is over and ended. And now I am back in and it's working and it's great and I love it. And notice we're being kind of general. We're not being specific. We're just getting you into the energy state of. I'm really looking forward to this. I am wide open. I'm like a flower uncurling under the sun after being, you know, all bottled up for years and years. I'm ready. I want this. It's going to work. Now what? Now what? Okay. And then follow through with this in your flow and your energy. When you flow, dream this. This movement forward. I really want you. You could even see the image in your mind. The dam breaking. You are flowing through. You are flowing through this heavy concrete. You are flowing through it. The dam is breaking. Everything is clearing. Migraines, clearing. Ex husband drama. Clearing. All of that unhappiness. Everything. The sun comes out, the clouds leave. When that happens, the whole world changes. Not just one thing. This isn't just one job. This is the whole world changing for you.
Yeah, because I feel it. Back in December, in December, you told me I was gonna meet somebody too. So I'm ready for that. I'm ready for brand new everything.
Yeah. Yeah. And that's. That's what it's looking like for you. It's not just the job. It's everything. The dam breaks. You're back out there. The migraines recede. You just feel happy again, healthy again. Out there again. A chapter has completely ended and closed. And I know you're already starting to feel that way because I can feel that behind you. That is definitely behind you. But it's kind of like purgatory. You know, you're. You're kind of in between zones once hell's behind you and you're in purgatory and you're stepping into heaven. Right. That's the next phase. What does that feel like?
How do I like? Is there a flow to push it forward?
Yeah. What would I recommend? Let me. Let me think here. Something about maybe wondrous change and transition. Because that one gets you super psyched for what's coming next. Like, you don't know what's coming next. You've just been beat to hell. This is why I created this one. And you feel like something amazing is coming next. That's what I made wondrous change in transition for. I might also look at my dream job, my ideal job. Just go straight into that one. Right. Because you're really trying to cultivate that emotion, that feeling. Try both of those. Okay.
Okay. Is that new one in the shop right now?
Yep, they're both in the shop. They're both there. So just go to flow dreaming.com and you find them. You know where to go.
Yeah. I just didn't know the new one was the wondrous change in transition. Is that what you said?
Yeah, that's actually a very old one. Next on my agenda is make some darn new flow dreams. It's been a while, but not many people know about that one. It's kind of one that's not, you know, on the top of everyone's list, but it's one that you really need when you need it. So go grab it and then keep me updated. Okay.
You know it. And I'm so proud and happy that you're in slow going.
Aw. And next time I talk to you, I want to hear about your new job and how exciting it is or the new guy who is amazing and leading you into an entirely new, healthy way of living. Okay.
Okay. Sounds great.
All right, Misty. You take care, honey.
All right. Bye bye. Bye. Bye.
Bye now. That was so fun. Oh, my God, I love being back with you guys. All right, so what you can see I'm doing here, for those of you who are new for show. Yes. I do intuitive work. I go into flow state, which is basically me closing my eyes, letting myself drift. Kind of get into that. I use the technique of actually daydreaming. Right. Daydreaming has a. A multi purpose in our lives. It is not well, actually, it's not just to get you, you know, busted. Everything we do has deep importance and often multiple reasons for having it right. Sleep and dreaming. Multiple reasons for doing both. Ditto for daydreaming. We overlook it like it's a totally useless thing. Nobody, you know, it's like, ah, just your brain checking out. No, brain's checking in. You know, brain's checking that old email server, finding out what it needs to know. So there's a whole philosophy, of course, built up around this called flow, dreaming, and a way to recondition your emotional self, as well as bring information out of energy out of the universe, which is what I just did with Misty. So let's keep going here. Who else do we have? Oh, how about Ann? Ann. You're from New Jersey.
Hi.
Hi. Hi.
How are you?
Good. Have we ever spoken?
No.
Oh, nice. Lovely. Nice to see you.
We have never spoken. Thank you for taking my call.
Yeah.
So mine is kind of similar that as the last caller, kind of. I feel like I'm really stuck in all areas of my life, and it's really hard for me to move forward.
Mm.
So that's with a job, with love. Yes. Finances and debt.
Tell me where. Where this feeling of being stuck in all areas. Why?
Why do you know? I don't know. It's just. I guess I'm not real. I guess maybe fear, and that's really not me. Or just feeling comfortable.
Mm.
And.
Okay.
Usually I make changes.
Right.
And don't have a hard time.
Something has happened in the last couple of years that's made you uncomfortable with change.
Well, I was in a car accident two years ago.
Yep.
And suffered pretty severe injuries that I'm still dealing with.
Okay.
And I'm healed, but not really healed. And I keep saying to myself, well, once I get healed, then I'll move forward.
Mm. Okay.
So that's keeping me kind of stuck, I guess.
Yeah. So I. I look back at this as an issue of your safety. Okay. Oftentimes, there's many reasons why we get stuck, but a lot of times it leads back to safety. So you're cruising along in life. You're invincible. Everything is like, you know, can change and flow and move. And then you get in this bad car accident, you realize, oh, my God, I could die. I could have lost my life. Things are different. Things are hard. I need to pull back. Right. Any kind of trauma can do this. Disease, anything. So you pulled back and you're like, now I gotta fight my way out of this. I've gotta Heal. I've gotta regain ground. And now that I'm starting to regain ground and starting to heal, I'm feeling a little more gun shy about reaching forward. I don't know that I can pivot again as quickly as I used to. And maybe I just, like, stay here and stay with this because I've got it, but it's not making me happy and it's not where I want to go, but I've got it and it's safe. I can be safe. Is this ringing any bells for you?
Yes. I just feel, like, very flat and stagnated.
Yeah, yeah. So you're. You're flat and you're stagnating and you're super, super safe. So the. The thing with this kind of safety is that it's an illusion. We think that safe means hold your ground. I mean, imagine a person sitting in their chair and they're gripping the arm of their chair. They're like, you can't pull me out of this chair. I am stuck here. You can't move me. You can't move me. Well, anything that stays too long in one place stagnates, right? Starts to rot. It's like. It's like water that stops moving, starts to get icky and brackish and bad and unlivable. Needs to have a flow, needs to have oxygen. So being stuck in one position is actually incredibly unsafe. Yet we go into this reactive mode because it's a protection mode. It's like, you know, throwing your arms up across your chest, like, don't hurt me. But you can't stay that way. So you're having, for the first time, to consciously adjust yourself and get back into a state of flow and ease and openness and trust. Right. When you got in that car accident, you had a little damage with your relationship with the universe. You stop trusting it. You're like, why'd you do this to me? What did I do? Hey, wait a second. You side. You sideswipe me. You blindsided me. So now you don't have that same trust going forward with the universe that you used to. So if you reach out and you say, you know what? I am going to get a new job, I am going to grow, you know, get a new relationship or whatever it is. You're looking at the universe. You're like, I don't know if you're really going to support me because you just did that really screwed up thing to me two years ago. Can you see? It's almost like a relationship with a person.
Mm. Right?
Yeah.
Like self sabotaging, too.
Yeah. So tell me the first area that you'd completely want to change if you could change it right now, the biggest thing for you, that you'd be like, oh, thank God that's fixed.
Well, most important, my health. Because without your health. Yeah. You really don't have much.
What happened after that?
Because you need money to survive.
Yeah. What's going on with your health? What, are you still fighting?
So from the car accident, I sustained herniations and bulging both in my neck and my lumbar spine and my jaw.
Okay.
And I just live kind of in chronic pain.
Yeah.
And then I just wonder why I'm not healing. You know, I have been treating for the past two years. Am I stopping myself from healing?
So let's. Let's. Okay, let's address this first. Then chronic pain. If your body. Your body, I always say, has the. Has the final say in everything, no matter how we're thinking, feeling. If your body's like, nope, I'm not up for it, then you're not up for it. You can't even flow dream. If your body says, I'm too tired and emotionally spent, forget it. I'm shutting you down. Right. Your body, it's like, holds the last card in your hand. So that's the situation you're dealing with right now. Your body is saying, I'm in pain and I need something. And I know you've been trying to get this treated for a couple of years, but there's still something else. I need something else I want. And maybe it wants more stretching. Maybe it wants more gentle movement or yoga. Or maybe it wants, you know, hot compresses. Or maybe it wants cool, soothing compresses. Or maybe it wants you just to spend some time talking to it, listening to it, allowing it. Maybe it says you're sitting for too long in the same spot. Maybe it says there's all kinds of messages, all kinds of things. So when I look at you and your flow, I see that you've been listening to outside sources a lot about what they say to do. Show up for physical therapy. Show up for this appointment. Show up for that appointment. I see you listening to a lot of external sources, but your internal source, not as much. So what I'd love to see you do. And the next, I would make it a goal. Over the next month, every day before I go to bed, I ask my body how it's doing and what it wants from me. And I listen. And of course I'll think I'm just making this up. That's okay. But let your body respond. There's going to be a day, sometime in the next 30 when you're gonna feel something and you're gonna say, wow, I had no idea if I made that up, I didn't realize I made it up. But that's really cool. Yeah, I will give you that. We'll do that tomorrow. We'll do a long hot bath or we'll do that gentle stretching or whatever it may be, because you have 100% of my attention. My entire life right now is hinging on you feeling better. You are number one. And all this extra emotional energy I've been spending on sweating it over my job and unhappy and all of that, I'm sorry, I'm going to divert that. I'm going to spend all of my energy and thought on you and not saying, what's wrong with you? Why aren't you healing? I'm going to say, I love you. You're awesome. I'm sorry this happened to us. You've got me, You've got my full attention. Can you see what we're doing there? We're shifting your relationship right now. Right? Yeah.
Right. Because I don't. I also the time factor. I always say I don't have enough time to like, medicate or this or that. And I just run from doctor to doctor, like chiropractic or Here. There.
I see that. Yes. So you're. In a way. You don't say you have enough time, but a good, you know, doctor appointments, a three hour deal. I know. I've had tons. That's three hours of meditation that you could be doing.
Yeah, I make time for that, but I don't make time for inner. Yeah, yeah.
You're relying on those external forces instead of relying on your internal force because you trust them more. And now you're stopping short and realizing, I think maybe I need to talk to myself now.
Right.
Okay, so flip it. If you don't, you're just going to keep doing this month after month after month and six months we'll have the same conversation. If you flip it now and you just say, okay, I'm gonna try this. I've tried everything else. I'm gonna try this. Oh, I know you're gonna feel different. I know it. Okay, my dear, I'm gonna let you go.
Thank you. Is there any, like, flow, dreaming that I can. That you have that would help me?
Absolutely. Go to the shop again. Look under health, health and wellness or health and healing. I've got several of Them just devoted to healing your body. Some of them are for, like, short colds and flus. Others that were for more deep, sustained healing. Absolutely. And that's. I really want to make more of those going in the future. I have a whole series of them I actually made for cancer for myself. But, yeah, chronic pain is the next one on my agenda. I wish I had that one for you. I don't. But I have a deep healing of all the systems in your body, and I think that one would be very helpful for you. Okay.
Okay. Thank you so much for your time.
You're welcome. Thank you so much for calling me and being a guinea pig on air.
Thank you. Have a great day.
You too. Bye. Bye. Oh, I love this. Oh, gosh. Look at all of these calls. Golls calls. You guys, you're showing up. I love it. Showing up strong. Hey, who do we have? Why don't we try Valerie? Valerie, you're calling from California. Hello. Which Valerie is this?
Hey, Valerie Scowrin. I am. I did ma school.
You did me school. I know. I recognized your voice. How are you? How's life? How's everything?
Oh, everything is really awesome. And so many good things happening and coming out of me school and.
So.
Oh, and I bought a painting from Venus. Your mom.
Oh, good, good, good, good. Yes.
I'm really excited about it and I'm so happy to be on your show today. I'm really excited about it. Thank you.
You're so welcome. I hope you love my mom's paintings. By the way, her show is airing at 2:00 clock California time. That's 5:00 clock Eastern today. So tune in. And she'll also be live if you're. If you want to talk to her. So.
Yes, yes, thank you.
Great.
Okay. So here.
Okay. What's up?
Here's my question today. Okay. And recent podcast I listened to was really good of yours, but I'm not going to go into all that. I'm going to give you just the straight thing.
Okay.
So I have. My boyfriend and I have broken up. You've actually talked to him?
Okay. I think so. Didn't we talk together on a show? Okay. Yes. Yes. Okay.
Yes. Okay. All right. So we have broken up and there's a bunch of reasons why, but I'm really feeling like, okay. And then after listening to your other. One of your people that you talk to, you know, I am feeling like I don't want to give up. I do really love him and I understand a lot of things, why it happened, and I think that if we work on communication, that we can work it out, but we are not talking right now. And I was thinking, you know, maybe you could talk to him, go in, look at him and think and tell me, like, what are the chances of this? I just give up. What should I do?
Oh, okay. So what. Why did you guys break up? What happened? What was the. What was the breaking point?
It was two energies going on. He has kids with problems, and he was kind of hiding that from me. And, and they're not really open. They do not have good open communication. They kind of gloss over everything. And then in my house, I have my niece and I have a bunch of families. You know, I got my own family stuff too. But we are really. Because especially from me, school, something I've learned and I'm still powerful. We are totally setting boundaries. We are speaking up. Right. So in my house, it's boundaries, openness. Right. And in his house, it's, you know, honestly, it's. It's hiding.
And.
And so I was. I wanted to be with them and I didn't really understand that whole. I just had a feeling of like, you know, being left out and a little deception and. Right. And the. And the two things collided. Right. You know, the two energies came to a head and bam. Right?
Yeah.
He got mad and I got mad.
That was it. Yeah. So you guys, you guys run your families differently, right? You have different rules, different ways of doing things. I would first of all ask you if you recognize that maybe they don't share or they're not very open or they prefer to just like, let things go and ignore them. That's something that your boyfriend also will have inside of him that he will bring to your relationship. Okay, he does.
My relationship.
Yeah. So you instantly are really setting yourself up to be in the position of having to retrain him. You retrain him and then he retrains his family. Exactly. So you have to think very carefully about this. How much work do you want to do for this man? How much changing of him? You know, we ladies, we have to be very cautious about trying to change our men folk. And if your job is not just to have a beautiful, fun relationship with him, but to also drain him, to be open and share and not let things just go quiet and bury and stuff. Things and ignore and overlook. Right. You're making that commitment. You're like, okay, you're so worth it to me that I am willing to teach you how to have a good relationship. Right. That's what it boils down to. And Then by extension, we're gonna teach your family how to have good relationships. That's only gonna work if he's on board with it. If he's not on board with it not working, and it sounds to me like you broke up because he just wasn't on board with it.
Yes.
Tell me his first name again. I'll go take a. Take a peek. What was that?
Adele Miller. Thank you so much.
Let's not say his last name. Poor fellow. Give him some privacy. I'm sure there's a billion billion Dells out there, so. Mallory. Okay. So don't worry about it. I know. That's because in me school, you learn not to be self conscious or afraid. You learn to be standing. You're like, take it or leave it, folks. This is who I am. Okay, so, Del, Del, Del. Let's see where you're at. Dell. Dell, Dell. Valerie. Oh, poor Dell. He just feels like he got tired. He got tired of always not being right or good enough. He looks like Eeyore to me, you know? Remember Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh? Eeyore. He's got this Eeyore feel to him right now where he just feels like everything I did wasn't good enough. And it was always something and it was always this. And I just got worn out, and it was just simpler if I could just do it the way that I've been doing it. His kids, are they involved with like. I don't want to say drugs or anything, but like, just. Yes.
His son with a drug problem and his daughter.
Okay, drugs. Yep. Okay. So he's dealing with that, Right? And he had a way dealing with it. Which was. I pretend it's not really there. And I only deal with it when I really, really have to because he got worn out, this poor fellow. He's tired. He's emotionally tired. Okay? So. Yeah. So he's got his hands full with this. And in his mind, it's like, this is all I can handle. I can't handle a girlfriend on top of all of this. I just can't. Especially when she wants me to do these other things. Okay, Del, but do you still care about her? Ah, you're. You're fun. You were so fun to go out with. You were so. It was like. It was like a little bright spot. It was just. Yeah, he's. He's wistful about you right now. He's just feeling wistful. I don't feel like he's angry at you. He's wistful just like I wish it kind of were. I wish it would have worked. He needs to have a little fire in his belly, Dell. Let me tell. I'm going to tell him that. Dell, you know, you're being a little too passive for my liking. I, I. You know, if you want something, grab it, reach for it, make it happen. You know, life is short. I know you've got this, Valerie. Could be an amazing support for you. Two people supporting your kids is Instead of just one. I mean, that's. Come on, that's valuable. That's important. You can do this. You do have the energy for it. If you want it, you have it. You can do this. You could make it work again. Okay, he's listening. It's like he's sitting up straight and he's listening. All right, I'm gonna let him go. Thank you, Del, for spending that time with me. Okay. Okay, Valerie, so here's what we just did. I wasn't gonna tell Del to get back with you or anything, because I don't know which way that your relationship should go. You know, that's up to many factors. But I did want him to feel empowered, that if he wanted the relationship, he would be capable of sustaining it. Okay. Because that was missing in him right now. That's missing. That's what I mean by fire in his belly. He's. You'll know next time you talk with him. He'll just sound like he's. He's missing. He's just. Blech. Okay. Unless, of course, we made some changes, in which case he'll get stirred up. Okay, darling, I'm gonna let you go. It's so wonderful.
Thank you. So good to talk to you.

Lovely, lovely. What a gorgeous day. By the way, just gotta say I'm surrounded right now. I've got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 6, seven of my most gorgeous roses surrounding me. They're like my little rose friends and I have them all in separate little vases so that they're all getting their own showcasing. It's kind of fun. I should take a picture of it and throw it up on Facebook. Oh, by the way, Facebook, Instagram, go check out. We have a Facebook inflow radio group you can join as well as the I heart Flow Dreaming Facebook group. And, and the reason I always say go to the group is because that's where we get to talk with each other. And you can post and stuff on the regular pages it's more just like, I don't know, they call them brand pages and it's not really two way communication. So go to the groups. That's. That's where all the action and the pizzazzle is going on. Did Instagram. We try and put up some cool pictures of our studio as we kind of build it and move things along. So it's been kind of fun to watch the whole thing happen. Okay, we're gonna go around the world right now to Denmark. Hello, Tanya. Are you a former student too? Yes, I hear you.
Yes, thank God.
Yes, you are. I recognize your voice. How have you been?
Terrific. I'm a professor today. I'm married and I have two kids, a son and a daughter.
I love that you were wave two. Right? So you were like three years ago or more?
Yeah.
Wow.
Awesome. And last year we bought our dream house. So that's perfect.
Oh, I love it. Well, I'm very, very happy for you and that you've continued to blossom and just totally excel. So what's going on with you now? Do you have a question or did you just want to say hi?
Yeah, I have a question. It is about my boy because I want to kind of do some flow dreaming for him or for others. So actually my question has two parts. I want to kind of help him to learn to flow dream. And I know you have the flow dreams for kids, but I'm in Denmark, so we speak English. And the second thing is that I want to kind of help him. We're kind of facing a little difficult situation in daycare where I kind of been doing the flow dream. Instant anxiety relief. Because we were very upset that some of his pedagogues come up with things like he's repeating things and then they think that he's kind of not thriving and saying that he's not holding a fork knife, and then his fine motor skills are missing and things like that. So we were upset. And so I want to how easy the situation because we're thinking that the pedagogs kind of lack some competence. My husband is a doctor and he's kind of of obvious that they are kind of, I don't know, interpret things the wrong way.
So how old is your son?
He's three and a half years old.
Three and a half. Okay. Okay. And what's his first name?
Henrich.
Henrich.
Henrich.
Henrik. Henrik. And he's three and a half. And you're concerned that in his daycare they are misinterpreting his developmental signs, right?
Yeah, they have to make a fribing report for each child. And they have kind of marked him yellow because they think that he's not holding a fork correctly. Then his fine motor skills miss and things like that.
It's worse. They kind of.
And we're kind of upset because we. He's just a normal boy.
Yeah. I'm gonna look at him and just see how I feel about him, you know, from his perspective. All right, Henrik, here we are. I'm a friend of your mommy's and she just wants to know if you're happy, if you feel good, if you like being at your school, your daycare, your preschool. What do you think? I see him, I'm wondering if he's more quiet or shy or if he acts that way there because I'm seeing someone who's sort of pulled back. He does a lot of observing, a lot of watching. Does it sound like him?
Yeah.
Okay. Yeah. So he does a lot of watching and observing. And I think sometimes because he does this, it makes the grown ups think that he's not capable or not engaged or not able really. He's just taking his time to observe. He's fine sitting there watching someone else coloring, not necessarily coloring himself. Right. He's, he's still, he's still engaged, but he has, it doesn't have to be doing it. It's his personality right now. It's just like. Well, no, I'm, I'm still learning, I'm still watching and I'm still absorbing. I like doing it like that. What about your little fingers and hands? I'm sorry, I'm still talking to. I'm sorry. What about your, what about that? Well, it's funny because you know when you're talking to someone that's very young, he's just like. What about him? He just showed me his fingers. Like if you were asking a real three year old, he's just like, yeah, look at my fingers. Like, okay, that's not quite what I was asking. So that's going to be hard information to get. So what were you saying?
Well, the adult kind of misses eye contact, but I think it's fine here when we're at home.
Right. So they're obviously looking for, you know, signs of autism or developmental delays.
Yeah, just a normal boy, we think.
Yeah, yeah. Again, that lack of eye contact. You have a child who is by nature an observer and he's going to look at things, not necessarily at people. He's going to watch processes, he's going to watch the other kids color. He's going to watch the other kids talk. He's going to watch them play ball. It's fascinating to him. You know, this is. He would grow up and be a wonderful journalist. Anybody who has to watch and record and receive information he's got a knack for. I really feel like I would let this play out a little bit longer and see if he falls behind any real milestones going forward. If it were my son, that's what I would do personally. But for the moment, you know, I would be doing everything I can, of course, to support him, but I would just be looking to. Just look and see if you catch him doing that. Right. Look and see if you can catch him being engaged, just not in the things that the grownups want him to be engaged in. Because that's what I'm seeing largely right now on the surface. But there's room for this to grow and change and become different over the next 612 months. So keep your eyes open. Okay.
So how can I support him?
Well, first of all, I want you to do what I just said. Shift and look at him. Look and see what he's looking at. Try to notice if he's just being disengaged or if he's actually quite well engaged, just not in the things that everybody wants him to be engaged in. Okay. That would be, number one. Number two, I just can see you giving him lots of exposures, exposures to ladybugs and grass and soft pillowcases and lots of things that would be fascinating and interesting to him, to the feel of crayons in his hands. Right. Give him a lot to touch, give him a lot to observe, you know, actually kind of support that because it's part of his nature. Instead of just throwing one thing in his hand and saying, write your name, you know, I mean, I know he can at three, but, you know, letting him do more exploring. I would give him as much exploratory practice as possible because right now, that's what he wants. He's thriving in it.
Okay.
Tanya?
Yeah? How do I handle the adults at the daycare?
Oh, well, that's a whole different. That's a whole different can of worms. The adults at the daycare. Well, first of all, I don't. I'm not looking at anyone specific, but I do get an impression through you of the general tone and the mood. They want to do things according to you said checklist, and I agree with you. There's checklists there. They have to do things according to protocol. They have to do things according to what they're supposed to be doing. There's paperwork, there's standards. There's these things they have to look for. Nobody wants to be accused of missing a sign. No one wants to be accused of ignoring something. So they're. They're. You know, a lot of. A lot of preschools lean the other direction. They're willing to just let everything go and miss stuff. Yours is a little heavy on the other side. They're. They're like, well, is everybody adhering to our particular developmental rule set? Yes. No. Yes, no. Yes, no. So I would be aware, first of all, that they. That they have that tendency there. I think it's because they want to keep up their. I don't know what's the word for it? Not accreditation, but they're standing or their. You know, their. Their reputation. There's something on the line about this that. That's built into them. So because you've chosen this place, maybe because they have high standards, what comes with that is this stricter adherence to the things that will create those standards for them. So you just. It's just the nature of the place. So I would just be gentle and go with it and say, hey, you know, we're definitely keeping an eye on things. But. Yeah, okay. I gotta let you go, my darling.
Thanks.
Okay. Tanya, I'm sorry. I could keep going. I know we could talk about it for an hour, but that's enough. That's good.
You've got some stuff.
You're so welcome.
Thank you.
And I'm so glad you're doing so well. All right. Bye, my dear. Bye, Tanya.
Bye.
Bye now. Okay, we're gonna do a quick one, and then. Gosh, I guess. You know what? I don't know. We. What do I have here? What do I have? How many minutes? I'll talk to Marla for, like, a couple of minutes. Marla, we only have a short amount because I do want to do a quick flow dream. What's on your mind, my dear? Marla? Marla, how are you? Marla, Hi.
Can you hear me?
Yes.
Okay. I have been listening to your ER Burnout podcast because that's exactly, exactly where I'm at. I hadn't had a vacation in almost two years and was supposed to go on vacation on Friday and instead ended up at the medical clinic. And instead I'm recovering from vacation plans were changed and it became a state staycation.
Yes.
So. And yeah, I. I know I'm gonna go back. I'm gonna give my notice. This has been something that I've been Carrying around my resignation letter. And I know this is just like the handwriting on the wall. Okay. The universe is really knocking you on the head. You have to do this.
Yeah.
My thing is getting through the fear. When I was younger, it was easier to say, okay, I have time to bounce back. But I'm looking at 60 and the time is getting shorter for being able to bounce back. So I guess getting through that hump of the fear of the unknown.
This resignation, if you know what I mean. Yeah, the resignation. Do you have another line of work that you would like to go into? Are you just quitting and saying, I can't handle anymore, or are you saying, actually, I've got these other areas that I am roaring ready to delve into? Or are you just like, I just need to take a break for the next two years. I'm going to retire early, we're done.
Well, I don't want to take a break for the next. I mean, sure, on one hand I'd love to be able to just retire and enjoy, enjoy life, but I really am not in a position to be able to do that. I got myself to the point of exhaustion. So being in, being exciting, excited about another opportunity or any opportunity.
Yeah.
Is hard without having, you know, taking a step back from where I am right now, if you know what I. To recover totally.
So here's what I'm going to say, because I don't. Like I said, I only have like a minute or two. Being in the state you're now in, if you resign, you will probably not be working for quite some time because you will be. Like I said, you have this deeper desire. I can feel it in you. I just want to rest, I want to rebuild my energy. I'm tired, I don't want another job. So you're going to end up trying to look for another job, getting rejected, rejected, rejected. Then that's going to feed this spiral of not getting a job because you're getting rejected because really you're just tired and you don't really want these jobs that you're applying for. So I want you to go in knowing that full on, instead of I'll quit and then I'll just get something else that I can handle. You can do that, but you're going to have to get your energy state up to that level. I want to have another job. I'm looking forward to it. I feel that I can recover and recuperate fairly quickly. You know, give me a few weeks and then put me in a more gentle environment and I Can heal slowly there. That's my true objective. So your number one task is to get very clear on how you're going to be post quitting, where your energy state is going to be in. Otherwise, I don't want to see you caught not getting a job and not working because you just blindedly went into that, not realizing that your whole body just was so excited that it got to shut down for a couple of years.
Okay, yes, yes, that makes sense.
And the man in the background, he also agrees with me. I heard him say yes.
Okay, I'm sorry, excuse me. He totally agrees. That's. That is what I was looking for, the right mindset going into this. Okay.
Yes.
You need that.
All right, just don't. What I'm saying is don't fake your way through this like, I'm gonna quit and get another job. And really? You're like, no, I'm gonna quit. And I'm gonna really quit. I'm gonna. I'm not gonna be back in for two years. Okay, you. Or you gotta shift it and be like, no, I'm gonna heal in my next job because I'm looking for a very gentle environment and I think I'm ready for it and I think I deserve it. And I think the universe, damn it, owes it to me. I need a gentle environment and that's what I'm gonna get.
Perfect.
Okay, that was.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
You're so welcome, darling.
Awesome. This. And inflow radio. I'm just so happy for you. This is amazing. I'm just really happy for you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
You deserve all good things.
You're right, I do. And so do you. And so do we all. Okay, Marla, you take care and we'll talk again.
Okay, thank you.
And me school. Okay, bye. I love seeing all my me schoolers show up in force. Love you guys. Not like we don't get to talk already like two or three times a month. So I know little check ins are good. And I love that you called because I asked you to call. I put it up on Facebook. I said, my first live show in forever. Please call. So we've got like two minutes. Just close your eyes with me and Brian's gonna try and figure out how to get some music up behind me in two minutes if he possibly can in the meantime. Oh, there. Look at that. He is on the job. All right, eyes closed. Deep breath relaxing, deep breath releasing. All is well in your life. All is well. You are well. Your heart is light. Your heart is A little butterfly lifting off from a flower, flying up into the sun, caught by the breeze. How does such a little thing, a fragile little butterfly, fly miles and miles and miles. You're this butterfly, a little fragile thing, and yet strong, sustained. You're flying for miles and miles and miles in your life, in your flow, because you're lifted and you're carried. Just like that butterfly chooses the direction. You choose your direction and you allow the energies of your life to move you, move you where you need to go and hold that feeling in that state even now as you find yourself returning from flow and you open your eyes.
