Flow Dreaming.
It's a show where we talk about the power of your mind to change your world around you, to literally affect the fabric of your reality. We talk about this feeling of hope and joy and relief. And that is what being aware of your flow does. It gives you a feeling of power again in your lives.
Breathe.
I'm Summer McStravik and welcome to another episode of Flow Dreaming. Welcome to Flow Dreaming. Hi everyone. How are you doing this beautiful spring day? I have a show for you. The last few shows, you know, we've been kind of cruising off into other areas. Well, we're going to do that again for today's show. Maybe you saw I posted my content, my topics for the show. If you're ever curious about, you know where to go to find that, just go to inflowradio.com and generally you're going to find whatever my upcoming show topic is there. Or you can also go to Facebook and I'm typically posting the topic there too, either at the Inflow Radio page or at my own Flow Dreaming page where you can, you can find it. So today, in case you didn't go to either of those places is the special series. It's number 562. It's called Entering Someone's Orbit. Entering someone's orbit, right. And I was thinking this, this idea, this title came to me because I was thinking about relationships and I like to see patterns and everything, right? I'm a pattern seeker and thinking about the galaxy, thinking about relationships, thinking about the galaxy, I know they'll come together. You have these, you know, galaxies, you have these universe solar systems, the beautiful flaming sun in the center, hot and bright, creating life giving warmth. And you know, it's got this gravitational pull, it brings in all the planets around them. You know, it literally like snatches the stardust and compresses them together and brings it into orbit around this, this beautiful life giving mass. So here we have the planets circling the sun and then maybe you've got, you know, an area of empty space and then maybe there's an asteroid belt built belt out there further where there's just a lot of rocky sort of cast offs and. And then after that you can go for a long time before you hit another solar system. You know, ditto galaxy to galaxy. And I thought, you know, every one of these little solar systems is a little family, you know, it's a little family, it's a tribe, it's a group. There is some life giving, sort of nurturing source. And then there's the collection that come around that, you know, that sort of swirl around that being, creating this tribe, if you will. And if you're not in a tribe, you might be a comet, right? Or you may be stuck in an asteroid belt. You may be flying away in deep space feeling like, I don't have a tribe and I don't have that life giving, nurturing relationship. I'm going somewhere, I'm traveling. And it got me to think, you know, this is mimicking, truly, it's mimicking our lives themselves. And when you crash into someone's orbit, you're basically partaking of their fiery show, their tribe, their people for the time that you're there. Now, we're a little more flexible than planets, right? We don't get stuck for millennia until the star, you know, goes supernova. Fortunately for us, we have mobility, right? We can get up, pick up and move, we can pick up and get someplace else. But all through our lives, we're entering these other solar systems, other people swirling in around their orbits, checking them out. If every person is a sun, we're all going in multiple orbits around multiple suns, multiple people, and likewise, they're orbiting around us. What happens when you orbit around someone? What happens when the energies are kind of co. Mingling like this? Well, you know, that person that you're orbiting with, you're sort of exchanging something with. There's an exchange that goes on and typically one person has a little bit more power than the other person, so they get to be the sun because they're maybe one washing you in cosmic waves and you're just kind of deflecting them. I'm really confusing the science right now, aren't I? But the idea is you enter these people's orbits and then after a while you kind of exit them. And that's what life is, this series of looping orbits, some people's orbits, you choose to stay in for a long, long time, right? That's that long marriage, that's that, you know, mother daughter relationship, those, those two siblings, those best friends. A lot of orbits you come, you get done what needed to be done, and then you orbit right out. And we humans, you know, we have this tendency to cry and sniffle when our orbits are over, when it's time to kind of move on to another little system. We miss what we had, but we have our memories and we linger on them. So sometimes we don't miss what we had. And we just think, how the hell did I ever get in that orbit in the first place? Well, some of these orbits are More impactful than others, right? I mean, this all is kind of a big metaphor for how flow works, right? Big metaphor. Some of these orbits are more impactual. And this is when you enter someone's orbit, who really makes a pivot for you in your life? So, I mean, just think for a second here. Think about a few people in your life who changed your orbit, who changed your direction, who changed the position of your galaxy. And sometimes we remember, you know, like the classic example, that English teacher who told you, express yourself, you're a good writer, or you're a terrible writer, you should never write. And you believe that for 30 years until you wrote your first novel. Sometimes the person, the orbit is unexpected. You don't think anything of it, and then it becomes enormous. A life changer, a game changer. You piggyback on that person's orbit, you rise up and fall on that person's orbit, right? Maybe you married someone and you did extraordinarily well, and your whole life rose with that, and then you divorced and you crashed and you weren't part of that orbit, and you realized how much you were circling their orbit, not they circling yours. So the idea is that we have these pivots, these moments in our lives that kind of move us in these new directions, and we really ought to be thoughtful and choosy about who we're orbiting with, who we're allowing to be in life with us. I can think of maybe a half a dozen people whose lives I've intersected with who have made a tremendous impact on mine even when I wasn't realizing they were doing so. I mean, clearly Dr. Wayne Dyer, one of them, never expected to be co hosting and working with him for so many years. Clearly. Louise Hay Reed. A bunch of people at Hay House shot me in all new directions. You know, I fell into those orbits and went, whoa, what am I doing here? My mom, I came into her orbit, didn't I? She's still kind of leading the charge, right? I mean, that's what moms do. I'm still in her orbit. She's that sun for me. My husband, right. Met him. Didn't realize, didn't think anything of it. Just some cute guy across the, you know, the high school campus that I. I'm like, I want to meet him. Changed my orbit for my entire life. And there are others. And these people, yeah, they're the people who are important to you, but they're not just important to you, Right. They kind of epitomize epochs, right? Epochs in your life. You can look back and say, that was a 10 year chunk in that orbit, that was a 30 year chunk in that orbit. That was a three year, highly intense chunk in that orbit. And, you know, the last few episodes I've done, I've kind of pointed out a bit how I'm in between some orbits right now. And I've been feeling this for a while and I know how flow works. This is an instance. Sometimes when you're out there in interstellar space, it feels like a long journey and you can't hustle it, you can't hassle it, you can't push it along any quicker. But I can see where these solar systems that I'm traveling between, they're kind of fraying at the edges and kind of. I'm in that space, you know, I've changed friend groups, I've changed business relationships. I've launched something new. I moved houses, for God's sakes. My kids are entering, you know, older years of school now. And so the parents that we interact with are changing. And I can feel this, this looking back and I've noticed myself doing this lately. Like, God, I really miss that decade. I really miss those years. I really wish I still had that group of friends. I really, you know, and I'm mindful that I've turned my head and I'm looking back at a distant sun. I'm not going to recapture that sun. I can't go back there. It's not my trajectory. I could admire it. I can, you know, send my kisses toward it, but I can't recapture it. And knowing that I know that there's a sun that I will still move toward. And so rather than looking back, I find myself going forward. What will I fall into next? What will the shape of it be like? What will it look like? What will it feel like? Who will be there, right? Even here with you? You know, so many of you have been listening to Flow Dreaming for years and years and years, and yet there's going to be new audience flowing. In the last year, I kind of took a hiatus, right? I was here and there. I did some, you know, rebroadcasts, took time off, and now that I come back, I'm realizing, whoa, I've got myself an interstellar space with my show. It needs a reboot, it needs a refresh. Let's bring in some more listeners. Let's bring in some more people who are curious and want to become flow dreamers too. So I'm aware of the position of the galaxy. I'm In I know that sounds a very pompous sounding statement, but from an energy perspective level, and I'm curious, who may be in my life right now, Whose orbit am I circling around with? And I don't even know yet how important they're going to be for me. I don't know yet where they're going to go with me, or where I'm going to go with them, or what we're going to build together or what we will end up making or creating. I have some hunches, I've got some ideas. But I do know one thing, and this is what I want you to carry with you. Unlike the last few shows, I don't have lists and lists of things. This show, there's really just sort of one objective. Who is in your orbit and whose orbit are you in that you want to be with, that you like, that you enjoy, that you want to build something with, that you feel strong with, you feel powerful with. You've got each other's backs, you admire them, they admire you. These are the people that you want to really nurture, grow with, develop with. And whose orbits are you in that you just don't want to be in anymore, that you don't care for, that don't fit you or don't match you, or you're just kind of forced in position. And I know we're often forced in position with other people's orbits. I mean, you sign up for a class and you arrive and the teacher's there and. And you're like, well, all the other students, I'm in their orbit, I guess for the duration of the class. But I didn't really pick them. Or did you? You all have a similar interest. You all had a similar time slot open. You probably all have a similar desire for taking the class rationale. Look closely. So look at your orbits right now and be choosy. Which ones are meaningful for you? Which ones are going to perhaps bloom into something? And how do you know that? Because those are the ones that are feeling good. Those are the ones that are feeling on the uptick, on the upswing. They're going places. Reach out, reach out, right? Build those friendships, nurture those work relationships. Reach out, grow into those orbits. So we're going to keep talking about relationships and why we have them and who they're with. And I'm curious what you think and if you can sort of pinpoint in your life maybe where you're at. And I think sometimes just the knowledge itself is enough to get us past, you know, the like or dislike of where we're at. Just the knowing, oh, here's where we are and here's who I'm circling. Right. I like to circle the brightest stars I can find. That means the people who I look up to, I admire, who in some cases challenge me. Right? It's not always easy peasy. They sometimes will challenge me. Hey, Summer, why are you doing that and not this? Why are you playing small here? Why are you doing this or that? I like to be in the orbits of people that I feel love from, that I feel honesty from, that I feel admiration for. Those are great orbits, those are great people, connections, creations to grow with. So it's a kind of impartial way of evaluating who and what you've got going on in your life. And I think that's important. I think that's really important. Okay, so I would love to hear about your relationships, your orbits, who are you circling who have made enormous differences on you. I mean, just share sometimes we can just have conversations on this show sometimes, of course, I will look into you and I'll look into your life and you know, see what I can see for you and kind of help you out. Who's who am I orbiting and do I want to be with them? And what are they doing to my life right now? That's another way of phrasing it. What are they doing to my life? Oh, my God. Are they making it pleasant and beautiful and uplifting? Or are they challenging and difficult? And how long do I want to stay with this particular scene? So let's go and hit some calls. Hey, Tamara. You're from San Diego. My neck of the woods. Hello.
How are you?
I'm well. It's nice to meet you. Have we spoken before? We have, yes.
And we've met in person.
Oh, okay, good. So you're probably one of my students then? Or have been.
Yes, yes, I have been, yes.
Oh, wonderful, wonderful. One of my events. Fantastic. Oh, it's lovely to talk with you again then. What's going on?
Me too.
What's going on? Whose orbits are you in right now?
I want to know if you could see if there's any blocks that I have internally that are keeping me from attracting a mate.
So tell me, when was the last time you had a partner? Are we talking to man? Woman?
Yes, yes, yes. Man. The last time I had a significant partner was about a year ago.
Mm. A year ago. And why do you think that relationship ended? In a nutshell?
We wanted two different things. He was into bachelor lifestyle, and I want to settle down and get married, have children.
Okay, so he wasn't in a committed stage. No, he was just in a. I'm gonna have a relationship. Cause they're fun. And when they stop being fun, I'm going to move on and find another one that can be fun for A while instead of moving into that next, that next phase. Yeah. And that definitely is a mindset to be in. So do you have a pattern of people like this who don't stay, who don't stick, who don't go to the next phase?
Yes.
Yeah. And this is different. This is, this is different than just we decided we were incompatible or, you know, we, we realized that we were just two different people. I mean, this is, this is. I'm trying to really get into the center part of this, which is I'm with somebody and then I realize this person doesn't share where I'm going. Isn't, isn't going to go deep with me. They're just kind of a, you know, I don't want to say surface level, but they're not in it for the long haul and they didn't arrive even with the potential to be in it for the long haul. Okay.
Yeah.
So this makes you wonder inside of you. And I'm just sort of feeling through here, you know, you're. Let's just put it in our orbiting language today. You're bringing in a lot of bright, fiery hot little planets that circle around and then zip away. And they catch your eye, they catch your attention because maybe this is it, maybe this is the one. And then after they're around for a little bit, you realize this is not long haul. This isn't sticking or staying. What is it in me that's bringing or gravitating or co creating with these people this potential? Because you offer them something too, right? You offer each one of them a. Are you ready to make a change? Are you ready to take the next step? And I'm not even talking about whether they were compatible with you or not compatible with you. Like that's a different point. But you offer them that question of, you know what, you're right. I do want a wife, I do want kids, I do want a home. I am ready to build something and just stop being out there. You offer that like that's your gift, you know, that's all wrapped up on a plate. So it's not just that they're not giving to you the commitment they're not accepting the offer they're refusing. So you each, in other words, have this thing to kind of learn from this situation. So what I feel happening inside of you is it's kind of like repetition creates a groove. You know, the old wagon wheels in the mud analogy where you roll the wagon wheels in the mud enough and you get these deep grooves, you have a Kind of energetic, what do you call it? Knee jerk, wagon wheel groove in you, which is, this has happened to me enough times now that I'm kind of expecting it. And that means I'm trying to pull away a little bit, not go in with the expectation that this could be a life partner. Right. I've got to be self protective about this. I can't get my heart broken again. I've had enough wrong choices that now I kind of expect it. So partly this is rational and partly it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy because that's now the energy you give off, which is, hey, if you're only here for a short time period, I'm kind of expecting you're only here for a short time period. So let's go for it. Or the other feeling where I think you've been in even more, which is I'm not even going to go for it anymore. I'm just fully pulled back. I don't trust myself. I don't trust myself. I don't know if I could make a good decision. How's all this hitting you?
It feels right. Yeah. I thought I was really just being more objective and not jumping into things versus pulling back. Yeah.
Well, I would love for you to just close your eyes and feel that emotional space with me. If you feel excited, can you create that feeling? I'm excited. I want to meet someone new. I'd love to go out and meet someone who is stable, committed, charming, handsome, intelligent, funny. Fits me perfectly. Really. Feeling open and, and ready and just excited about that. So you can feel that emotion but then notice if there's like a. It's like a whiplash that happens. You feel that and then another part of you goes, uh huh, Right. Can you feel the little disbelieving part pop up too? Like sure you want it? You're not gonna get it.
I didn't when you were saying that. It felt good.
Good, good, good, good. So you wanna listen for that little snapback though because it's there, it's there. And so it's a push pull, It's a push pull. It's a tug, tug, tug. What I would recommend that you do is practice that feeling all the time. The good one we just did. I'm really looking forward to meeting someone amazing. I feel very comfortable and confident that this time can be different. I don't expect the same thing to keep happening over and over again. Things can change at any time and this is when they change for me. Right. We don't want you going forward with this kind of expectation of it not working out because, you know, it's, again, self fulfilling. What you, what you are is what you create. So you are a lovable, joyful, intelligent, warm, funny, smart gal. And you have that exact same kind of person coming in. You're a double sun cluster. You orbit each other. And that's the feeling over and over. And anybody who comes in who frankly doesn't match that feeling, they're going to get spit out pretty quickly because they're simply not going to energetically align you. You should know within a few dates, like this person is. They don't fit this feeling. They don't fit this feeling. You'd know it in a couple of dates. Okay, good.
Okay, thank you so much, Summer. I really appreciate it.
Thanks, Tamara. So good hearing from you. And your phone was a little hard to hear, but I hope everybody caught most of that conversation.
Okay. Sorry about that. Thank you.
Don't worry. Take care. All right. Bye, my dear. Oh, boy. Interesting, huh? Right? How our energies play out, how we kind of create those relationships around us. And, you know, sometimes when you're entering someone's orbit, you're not even sure how they got there, you know, I mean, think about those people. You don't even know how they really got into your life or how you got into theirs. It just seemed this kind of like a wild grab bag. The world just shook some things together and voila, now you're, now you're with this person, you know, or they're in your life. But if you peek underneath that seemingly random, you know, top layer, you can often find this more subtle organizing principle. You were ready for this. They were ready for you. It was your next step. It was their next step. It felt right. It is right. And therefore they arrive. You arrive so often. I will talk with people who have a kind of envy and I'll get to more calls here in a second. I won't forget about you, but I talk to people who have a kind of envy. I wish I was with this kind of people. I wish I was with the, you know, this richer set or these, these, these, you know, I'm an aspiring actor and I wish I was with all of the A list actors. And I wish and I wish and I wish, you know, and it's like we're craving and trying to get into these seemingly brighter orbits around us of these other people. Fact is, though, often you are attracting one another and they're not saying to themselves, I wish I could be surrounded by some really needy people who are kind of Envious of me, who want to kind of be in my surroundings. Right. They're not doing this, or. I wish I could be surrounded by people who are really not as good at this thing that I'm good at, but they want to be like me, and they're not feeling that way. So can you see how these mismatches happen? Like, I never quite get there. Yeah. Because it's taken the both of you to kind of have the same desire to be with one another. And that's what I was getting at when I was just saying to Tamra, if he doesn't embody this feeling state that you're embodying, he's going to be whipped out pretty quickly. It's like I always imagine a spinning top. Right. Spin, spin, spin, spin. Let's say you put a little feather against that spinning top. If it's not spinning the same rate as the top, boom. The top's gonna knock it out. Poof. It's gonna reject it. That's what happens when energies aren't in alignment. So let's keep going. Susan, you're up next. You have been waiting so patiently, my dear. How are you, Susan?
Hello.
Hi. How are you?
Hi, Summer. How are you?
I'm great.
I am doing all right. And I will say one thing. I have been in your orbit for quite some time. I've been listening to you for a number of years and use some of your products, and it's helped quite a bit.
Oh, thank you.
Today I am really looking at a change in my. Change in my life. You know, the corporate world is really not working for me anymore. I'm really exhausted by it. I'm recovering people pleaser. I spent years and years and years doing that. And I'm getting much better at choosing for myself and what's good for myself. And I feel right now it's really the time for me to move kind of into the slow lane and kind of strip things back to heal, to rebuild on kind of a solid foundation for myself. And. And I feel like I've. I'm kind of on that edge of one galaxy, but I haven't entered another one yet. And this in between time makes me kind of uncomfortable, and there's this kind of pull. It's like, well, go back to the old way of doing things. Go fix. Go. Go do something for somebody else. And I don't want to. And I just wanted to know what you're seeing in my flow. You know, am I on the right path with kind of taking the step, kind of off this fast lane and really taking this time for myself.
Okay, so you're leaving corporate or you've already left?
No, I haven't left yet. I probably will still continue for a time in order to pay the bills. Got to do that. But I really feel like that's not the trajectory for the next couple of decades of my life. I feel like there's something different, something better on the horizon other than the trajectory I'm currently on in this job.
So when you feel yourself leaving, when you kind of move ahead emotionally into the decades coming up, what do they feel like instead for you? Can you see a different line of work? Have you already identified it? Or is it more just a sense of I have to stop the spinning wheel so that I can see clearly beyond it?
I've got to stop the spinning wheel. But I've got a real pull to some of the healing arts, like light and sound healing.
Light and sound healing. Are you practicing those right now?
I'm learning. I'm reading.
And so from reading you're going to move into practicing? Correct.
That's what I think I want to do.
I heard that pregnant pause. Okay.
Moving from the solid corporate type environment to something that's a little more what based on society sees as maybe a little more unstable.
Right. So let's just pull back for a second. You don't have to replace one with the other in one fell swoop. You should be moving from reading to practicing next week, tomorrow night. So when you play it out in your head like there's this long career shift and I better get it right, right? I better know what the next thing is. That's kind of a slow road. It's a. Well, I'm going to read, and then I'll go to a school for it. And then I'll, you know, eventually. And what if you just start some sound healing? What if you take a weekend workshop? What if you start working on your friends? What if you start working on your dog? What if you start, you know, playing with it, enjoying it, making it be the biggest, most luscious and yummy hobby in your life, Continue to do your corporate work, but now you have a really solid contrast, whereas right now you don't have a solid contrast. You have a. I don't like what I'm doing anymore, and I think I might want to do this per minute, but I don't really know. Let's get that contrast in now. There's no need to create the stopgap of wait and see. You can really find out you could. You could know by next month. So what's the fear then of practicing now? Everyone's a beginner when they start.
It's a perfectionist tendency. It definitely is. It's also, I think, some past things I'm still healing from where there were things that happened in my life when I was younger, where I felt at a younger age I was thrown into responsibilities that weren't mine. So it was, you know, oh, you have to take care of everything. And some of that's still there that I really am working to heal from. Just like. No, no, no, no. I have what I need. I can take care of myself. I don't. I'm no longer in that space of taking care of everyone else. But it comes up. It comes up here and there. So I'm still working on that.
Here's something else I want you to see or think about or roll around in your head. So you come from a background of needing to take care of everyone else, and as you said in the beginning, people pleasing. So you go have a successful corporate career where you're basically taking care of everybody else and people pleasing and leaving yourself last. And maybe it's led to some body breakdown. Maybe it's led to a sense of I haven't nourished my own heart and soul because I've been too busy nourishing this company, because that's what I do. So before I go and leave this company and start a new line of work, which is basically me just taking care of people again, because. Right. What's light and sound healing you taking care of people again? You're, you're. You're not leaving anything. You're just kind of doing that again. You don't want to end up in a career where you're taking care of people and feeling like, God, I'm doing it again. I thought it sounded great and fun, but I'm really just taking care of people again. You want to do it differently. You want to be taking care of people because it's a delight and a joy to do so. And it doesn't pull you out of balance. It doesn't pull you away from your own self. And I think that is what you're really putting your finger on right now. That's the healing that you're talking about, and that's why you're not jumping into it. So that is an acceptable explanation. Right? Because you don't want to care. Carry one pattern right into the next. However, no, tweak with that a little bit. What better way to work out a pattern than to start just seeing if it arises, seeing if it erupts. So, hey, I want to do some reiki healing on you. I might not be doing it right. You might not feel anything, but I'm going to do it anyway. And I want to see if it brings me joy, because, yeah, technically, I'm healing you, but really I'm, you know, healing myself here. We're healing each other. I want to see if it brings me joy. And I'm not going to be a perfectionist, and I'm not going to worry about getting it right, and I'm not going to worry about if I'm even able to do it. I'm not going to just put that judgment on myself yet. But I do know that this is a path out of this pattern for me, even though it appears on the outside that I'm leaving one form of doing everything for everybody else and definitely going into another form of doing everything for everybody else, but it's not going to be the same. So what I'm trying to do here is just kind of help you see this from a different angle, you know? Mm. Can you see that?
I do.
So you don't need to think about, what am I going to do for the next three decades. You can think about what am I going to do in the next few weeks that's going to make me feel happy, that's going to feed my soul and nourish me? Maybe that's the thing that I'll end up doing for the next three decades as I start to track toward it more and more and more, because it keeps working for me, and I don't feel like. I mean, imagine yourself an overworked healer. Everybody needs something from you. You're always booked. You have no time for yourself. You're exhausted. You have nothing more to give. You couldn't say no. That would. That'd be miserable. Right? But you're not gonna do that.
Well, for me and for them.
I know, but you're not going to do that, and that's really what you're learning. It's not the thing that you're doing corporate or healing. It's not the thing you're doing. It's really how you're doing it. Okay, so play with that. It's not the thing you're doing. It's how you're doing it. That's what you're looking at right now. Okay.
Okay. All right. Thank you so much, Summer.
You are so welcome, Susan. You take care and keep. Keep your Flow Dreaming going.
Okay, I'm going to.
Excellent. And by the way, there's a playlist you should look at. It's called. What's it called? Jeez, Find My Power and speak My Truth. Or something along those lines. Okay. That's for getting really powerful inside yourself and just saying what you feel and see. Right. You say it to others, you begin to say it to yourself.
Okay, that sounds beautiful.
Okay, my dear, good luck. Lots of flow.
Thank you.
Take care.
Bye.
All right, bye. Oh, funny, funny, funny. There's a little delay between when I'd speak and she'd answer. And I was thinking, is she thinking about it or is this just my phone lines? I don't know if you guys caught that. I'm like, tick, tick, tick. Anyway, so I want to leave a little room for us to do a flow dream today, but I want to take one last caller who I haven't spoken with in a couple of weeks. I miss this fellow. He's one of our biggest super fans here at Inflow Radio. By the way, did you guys know you can become a member of Inflow Radio? There is actually a membership level called super fan. Just reminded me. You get all kinds of good stuff. Anyway, Yogi is, I'm pretty sure, a super fan. Hey, Yogi.
Well, I'm sure you've seen that I've already tasted.
What was that? Oh, your line is coming through. Mushy, mushy, mushy. Can you speak a little more clear into the phone and we'll just see if we can get it to work?
Yep. I'm already a super fan. I've already paid for the superfan thing.
Yay. Thank you. Well, how are you?
What's.
What's up? Last time we talked, you were doing action, action, action. Are you still.
Yes, I am. I am doing action, action, action.
Good.
Well, the reason I call in today's topic is a little bit too heavy for me. Wanted to see how it applies. How would you explain it in my situation? What am I going through kind of thing? Who's in my orbit?
Yeah, you've. You've lost a few orbits lately, haven't you? And you're looking. You're looking for the next one. You have your partner. That's a stable orbit. But you've been really, you know, your last workplace. You could look at a workplace as a fundamental relationship that severely impacted you. Okay. And as you left, you can look back and see how it impacted you. And now you're looking kind of loop yourself in with a new workplace. Another Orbit. And you're carrying a little leftovers from the old one. Little gun shy. You've also been tidying up relationships in your family, right? Doing some healing around that. And I think the biggest thing, probably the reason it feels heavy to you and probably some other people, too, is when we're in between these orbits that make us feel grounded and like, you know, orbits give us meaning, right? They make us feel grounded, and they give us meaning, and they make us feel wanted and needed someplace, you know, important someplace. It's like being inside the village versus being outside the village. And when we don't have that feeling, we tend to feel lost. You know, lost. Like, will I ever find a village again? You know, or am I out here foraging on my own forever?
And that's exactly how I would see it.
Yeah.
Do I belong? You're right.
Where do I belong? Where do I belong? Do I belong to anybody? Am I worth belonging? Yeah. So look, how do you get out of that? Well, look, I'm in a similar space. I just admitted it. One thing I recognize is it's like traveling from system to system. We're both in interstellar space. It looks empty. And we know that we're going to be circling some bright lights eventually, but we don't know what those are going to be or some other people are going to be circling us. It goes both directions. So I have an awareness that I'm going to ride through this transitional space, right? I'm riding through it. I have to ride through it to get to my next destination, period. And I can be active in that space. I don't have to just sit and be, you know, flippy, floppy, just hanging out. I can be very active as I'm riding through. Right. Put your thrusters on. It's all space metaphor today. But, you know, you do the action action. You get really clear on the things that make you feel good, that you love, that you enjoy. You focus on those, you grow those, you seed those. I mean, when your life is filled with something, it's hard to grow new stuff. So when your life is cleared of things, it's the perfect time to grow new stuff. It's a gift. So this is why I started Inflow Radio. I'm like, I'm interstellar. I need to do something. Let's start something. Let's seed something here. Let's see how it makes me feel. So you're in a position now where you get to plant and seed some new stuff, too.
Yep. I think I'm. I'm in that Stage at the moment where I am planting seeds, taking action.
Yes. I mean, Yogi, you may go in a completely different direction than you ever expected. Right. You may end up in a totally different, kind of a different field. Something that you wouldn't have attempted in the beginning, but it took all this time and finally you're there in your mind space to do it. We don't know what the purpose of this long gap is for you. So just think about how am I going to be? Yeah. How am I going to? Not where is the gap going to? That's the wrong question. Where is it going to end up? Where's it going to take me? It's how am I going to be in the gap? Do you get it? How am I going to be in it? That's what I'm asking. So you're focused, excited, curious, inventive, and filled with action. And that's after you've done a lot of healing. Right. You're entering this new space.
Yep.
Okay, my darling. Love you. Take care.
Of.
Bye. Bye.
I will.
Bye. Aw. Okay, so let me see. I am looking at the time here and I want to make sure I have enough time to take you guys into a flow dream. So I think I'm going to do that. I see Gretchen on hold, but I'm going to leave you there, my dear. I know we're going to speak again soon, but thank you, thank you. Because I really want to give some time to get you guys in into some flow. I know we've kind of only done them spottily the last few weeks and that's kind of part of the special series where we're going off in new directions. We're not always doing our flow dream together, but we're going to do one this time because, like Yogi brought up, when you're in this gap, when you are in, you know, outside the village, when you are between orbits, you don't have that hot burning something that's making your life feel meaningful. Like. Yes. You know, like I was saying how I would look back, I'm looking back now, and I can see there was like, you know, eight, nine great years where, you know, it was surrounded by a certain collection of friends, a certain collection of business people in my life, a certain collection. And I just go, oh, that was such a good time. And we had all these pool parties and we did all this stuff, and now I'm not doing that. That's the sun and the orbit and the life and the people that you have now exited through and Flow is change. Change is flow. Being in flow is really being a master of change, being able to recognize, ah, here's where I'm at now. What do I do in this place? What do I do? When the water recedes, a whole new world opens for me. It's a world that's empty. It's a world I can put anything in that I want. It's not all crowded and thick and full, which, yeah, is where I like things to be. Because I'm confident, comfortable, and I'm less comfortable when it's empty. And it's up to me. So let's get into the, the, the. The way of feeling here, where that's going to be okay with you. It's going to feel all right to you. Take a deep breath with me. Deep breath. Close your eyes. Relax. I want you to feel good. Released. Breathing deep. Shoulders releasing. Jaw releasing. Notice right now. How do you feel? Where are you? Did you enter someone's orbit? Did they enter yours? Are they giving you meaning? Are they giving you connection? How was that feeling? Or are you outside of that? Did you leave the galaxy? Are you en route for something new? Maybe you are. Maybe you're mourning. Maybe you're looking back. Maybe you're just unsure. Maybe you're wondering, will I ever get that new, beautiful sun in my life? The one that gives me that next era, that next decade of joy or companionship or love? Maybe that's what you want to know. What's the answer? What's the answer? The big answer, the deep answer inside of you? Is that answer saying to you, what do you think you're really at the end of everything? That's it? Or is the answer saying, sun's always coming. Another sun, another light, another blooming epoch. Maybe it's 10 more years. Maybe it's one more year. I mean, really, none of us know. We live on hope and dreams and day to day taking it for granted that we'll get more, that life will give us more. And every day, the chances are still pretty great, pretty high, pretty strong, overwhelming, overwhelmingly strong that you will be entering someone else's orbit again soon. And it will set off another era of fulfillment and love and joy and connectivity and depth and feeling, belonging. Can you feel that you've been there and you'll be there again? You may be there right now. Love the feeling. Be the feeling. Flow that feeling. And hold it even as you come back now from flow returning. And you open your eyes, And there you go. How did that feel? Pretty good? I hope it did not quite a flow dream. More like entering a feeling state, an awareness state. That's something I've been doing a lot more lately. Entering very potent states of awareness like can you see this? Can you feel this? Step outside and look in with me. Flow dreaming takes me all kinds of interesting new places. This is where it's been going lately. So this is where you are going. You are heading into a beautiful new orbit. I am heading into multiple beautiful new orbits. You are becoming orbits for other people. Know that. How can you be there? What can it be like for you? What can it be like for them? What's the potential? Feel that optimism, Feel that expectation rise up in you, in your heart. That is the fastest way to put on those booster rockets and make it through the in between times. That is it. What makes you feel good, what makes you feel happy, what gives you pleasure. Now go get Orbital. I promise I'm done with space metaphor. I won't do it again.
