When the whole world is, I don't know, freaking out feels like a dumpster fire. You've been roiling around in stormy waves for days, weeks, maybe months. It's easy to drift into doom and dread, paralysis, irritability, denial, overwhelm. You been feeling any of that lately? Many of us have. Right now we're all being tossed in the air like that rubber ball that we used to bounce off the parachute in grade school PE class. Do you remember that? But when other people are all freaking out, retracting, feeling scared, a beautiful choice presents itself. Follow them into the chaos or ground yourself, Reassert your intention and build walls of safety, protection and perfect direction around you. That's what we're going to do today. We're going to talk about this. Get you back in your own emotional, mental and spiritual space. The space that's right and good and perfect for you despite what's going on in the world. You can't do anything in the world if your own internal space is messy. So we're going to do this and I'm going to gift you a little flow drain. Safe, secure and protected. It's one I created several years ago during another tumultuous time. And we're going to share that one together. Coming up. Flow Dreaming still kinda Woo Woo is.
Just what it sounds like.
An escape into the world of woo. Also a ride into you and how to feel happier, wiser and more self aware in every way. It's your ultimate journey in the into personal growth and inner power. We'll explore ideas like how your energy self influences the kinds of opportunities you encounter, or how your personal growth can drive your business growth. Or even how that feeling of being stuck is really always coming from something else. We just have to figure out what. That's right, we're a dash of woo woo. A sprinkle of self care, a heap of problem solving and pattern busting and a giant cup of encouragement. We're going to relight so much passion, purpose, self love and confidence in you that you practically stagger. I'm Summer McStravik, your host and welcome to Flow Dreaming. Still kinda Woo Woo. Oh my friends, it's so good to see you. As I mentioned in the little introductory trailer for this season, I am back. Back after taking a long siesta, a hiatus, some time to let new ideas form, to let new, I don't know, desires kind of percolate up. And here we are. Of course I'm coming back right in the middle of kind of a storm, which is odd. It was not something I expected. We're gonna tackle that today. We're gonna, we're gonna calm ourselves. We're gonna calm ourselves, our nervous systems, we are going to calm our energy systems, and we are going to once again allow the world to understand how we are interfacing with it, not how the world is interfacing with us or onto us, which is how we often kind of default to over time. So before we jump into that, this morning I woke up, went out to my freshly planted garden, and it was just a little personal aside, I'm just telling you where my headspace is today. I, I planted this garden over the weekend. I worked my butt off. I planted like 18 tomato plants that I've hand raised from seed for the last two months inside my office. And I've carried their little seed trays inside and outside every single day and put on the lights. I mean, I babied these things right for the first time. I thought, I'll just finally do it right for once instead of just scattering stuff out there. Well, plan it all up. 24 cucumbers. I mean, yeah, way, way more plants than my, my yard can fit, frankly. Eggplant, scallions, cilantro, basil. Oh, I've got the entire Italian cookbook happening out there. I'm so proud. I'm so tired. I come inside and go to bed today. Get up there. Every single plant except the eggplant has been dug up. Not just dug up, but callously thrown across the garden. Just their little roots baking in the sun, their leaves wilted, half the vegetables covered up or destroyed, stampeded on. I just, I just stared in disbelief. This is, this is relevant because this is how many of us are feeling about our world right now. Like everything has been pulled up from the roots and really pissed. And I knew exactly what had happened. I have a dog. He's a big, big guy. He's a Shepski. He's half German shepherd, half husky. And this 90 pound bruiser was really interested when I was putting all these baby plants in because I decided to use some fish meal and kelp instead of fish emulsion because I didn't want to deal with all the spraying and all that silliness. And so I dutifully sprinkled all this great fish meal and compostable, biodegradable from the oceans into every single hole. And I think he thought that I was planting him the greatest gift from heaven. A. A whack a mole, kind of find the fish. Fun thing. And he was gonna find that Fish, even if he had to dig up 37 holes. So today he is lying on the couch. I'm sure his belly is full of dirt. And frankly, I'm kind of wishing that he's feeling crappy right now, which is terrible to say, but it's true, because I had to replant that entire garden, and I lost so many of those little babies, those tomatoes that I've been cultivating since January. And this is how a lot of us are feeling right now. We've lost some stuff, or we're afraid we're gonna lose some stuff. Maybe money in the stock market, maybe, you know, your ability to pay all your bills because things have gotten so expensive. And just when we thought things were supposed to not be expensive, then this administration has doubled down on making them more so for whatever ungodly reasons. And here we are. And the way that many of us are holding this is in a state of paralysis and fear. Fight, flight, or freeze. Which one are you in? I move between several of them myself. But when we work in energy, when we work in flow, when you really have a deep and lifelong attachment to your spirituality, you stop looking at all the daily games of humans as the next cliff to fall off of, right? Because we've all fallen off 50,000 cliffs. We fell off 2008. We fell off Covid. We fell off prior to that. Some of you are old enough to remember the Iraqi war or Vietnam, or on and on we go. We're always falling off cliffs. That's what humanity does. Sometimes we do it spectacularly well, but we soldier on, we move on through it. And there was always that question, what happened to you? What? Where were you when blah, blah, blah happened, where were you? And it's not just where were you located, what city or town or job or stage of life, it's where were you in your mind, in your heart, in your being? How much did you allow yourself to be punched around by the strong winds versus looking at them and saying, huh, I can recover from this. This isn't going to be a deal breaker. Or maybe it will, but I'll still recover from it. For instance, when you lose a job, and I know a lot of people are losing their jobs right now, and, you know, we're feeling the repercussions kind of trickle through everywhere. People haven't lost a job, but they're afraid they're going to lose their job, so they start cutting all their spending way back, which causes other people to lose their jobs. It's this cascade, right? But in reality, Most of us right now are still okay. It's been tough. It's more our fear centers that have been activated than anything else. And it's hard to see past those fear centers as I, as I record this right now. We are not in a depression or recession. No, maybe we'll go there, but we're not right now. So where were you? When is, where were you? In your heart, in your mind, in your focus? What I was just saying, perhaps you lose a job or you're afraid you will, you will get another job, you will get another job. And you might be saying, oh, but it's going to be a worse job than the one I have now because no one's going to hire me at this age. And blah, blah. There's all kinds of stuff, stuff that comes up, right? More lack thoughts, more scarcity thoughts. Who are you going to be in this phase? We always have a choice.
Always have a choice.
And if you're, if you're, if you're taking the choice that says I'm going to doom and gloom, it, the question is, okay, fine, why do you really feel that that is the most protective stance for yourself? Are you doing good by yourself and to yourself by holding those fears and feelings right now? And at first you say yes, because it makes me be defensive and I, I, you know, I like, make better choices and don't spend money or I get to go out and find other work or at first. But eventually you realize that the first impulse to do that wears away and then you're just actually ground down under fear and uncertainty and paralysis. Here's another way of approaching the feelings that are coming at us. Because I'm not going to say they're not real. They're very, very, very, very, very real right now. But another way of approaching these feelings is to say, huh, I'm experiencing this now. I will do some things that are protective and smart, but I'm also going to do some things that are protective and smart for my mind, my heart and my energy. And what those things are, is a focus, is to create a focus on how I want to feel going forward. Do I want to go to sleep afraid, anxious, worrying about money? Do I want to wake up that way in the middle of the night? Do I want to wake up in the morning dreading going into work or having to wait this out or whatever it may be? What is there? Is there a different way that I could be feeling through all of this? Again, this is a choice. The outside world is not forcing you to feel These ways you say, well, I'm being smart, I'm being irrational and responding to despair. With despair, not necessarily the people who pick themselves up, the people who move to the next phase, the people who adapt, the people who flow are the ones who are always saying to themselves, huh, I'm facing this. What do I do with it? Who do I want to be inside of this experience? I can adapt. I'm extremely adaptable. Again, I will have another job. I will have a job that I love. I will pivot into a world that I forgot about, that I used to do 30 years ago. I will discover that my community is really important to me and I never knew how much. I would absolutely love working at the local animal shelters, thrift store, whatever it may be. It's all about your intention. Where do you want to go with this? Right? Let the actual opportunities, the actual income, the actual circumstances coalesce around the intention that you're sending out. And many of us right now are sending out really negative intention. And it's so understandable because that's what we're hearing. I was just on the Internet before I started recording, and they were saying, ah, the worst stock market since, you know, 2008 or before, where finally, you know, the recession is 50, 60%. It's, oh, just, just doom, doom, doom, doom. And a part of my mind says, yeah, okay, I'm listening. And I'm not easily swayed into all this lack thinking, but yeah, this is happening. You know, this is happening. Well, do I think that I have to go down with a ship? You need to ask yourself that really fundamental question. Not everyone goes down with a ship. There are survivors. You're out there. What are you going to grab onto? Because there's going to be stuff to grab. When things leave, new things emerge, period. Always 100%. It's an absolute universal constant. When something is left behind, a new space opens and something comes in to fill it. Where are your eyes gazing on what will fill that space? If you're expecting trash, you're gonna definitely take the trash truck. But if you're expecting opportunity, if you're expecting new fields, if you're expecting transformation, either in your heart, in your money, in your outlook for life, in your career, you'll get that. What are you expecting? Now the next question is, once you've decided, hey, I'm going to pull back some of my power around this and not let the world buffet me around with fear, because chances are right now, most of us are in safe circumstances and we have food in the Pantry, not everyone, but most of us. And so I'm talking to you. If that's true and you're expecting pretty strong headwinds, what are you going to do about it? Your intention, number one. Number two, safe, secure and protected. So I'm going to play this for you. It's a flow dream, and I haven't played them during my podcast very often in recent years, but I just feel this one is so necessary. And I recorded this, gosh, so many years ago, maybe 2008 or 9. I sound like I am a much younger version of myself. But safe, secure and protected reminds you you can always ask for safety. You can always ask for protection. You can always vibe yourself, integrate yourself with being on track, in alignment, being in the very best possible position that you can actually be. Again, don't wait for life to just haphazardly give that to you or not. We are creators. So if we say I want to be safe and I want to be in the perfect lane when this traffic jam opens up, I want to be in the perfect lane, then there you are, you're in the perfect lane. So you're going to be doing in, in the weeks and months and, I don't know, years ahead, a combination of things here, and one of them is managing what you're allowing to come into you and kind of suck you into it and being very clear on what's permissible and what's not. You're also going to be practicing energetically, emotionally, inside your mind. And again, a flow dream is the best form of practice. I mean, these are literally every flow dream I make is an energy exercise, an emotional exercise, a spiritual exercise in creating more of the feelings you want in your life before and despite the world giving you any reason to have them, you make them first. You give them to yourself. You stop waiting on outside circumstances to give them to you. I know I'm getting very dramatic here in my speech, but it's because literally, I've been talking to people all month about this, just putting out one person's fearful fire after another. So I feel kind of passionate about this and for myself, too, for all of us, for our whole nation, for the whole world, frankly. So I want to give this to you. I want you to feel it. I want you to sink into it. And if you don't know what flow dreaming is, just go to my website, flowdreaming.com or download the app. I have a Flow Dreaming for Meditation and Manifesting app, and I give you free ones just like this to practice with. And then you will learn. This is not meditation. It's not self hypnosis. It's its own wonky little animal. It's fun and fabulous and just makes you feel so good when you're doing it. And it actually adds to you, the greater being of you. It adds to you so you'll learn how to do it properly. But in the meantime, I really want you to enjoy this right now. And remember, you are safe. You are secure, you are protected. You are the leader in your life. You are the one saying the direction that the whole army of you and everything you love will walk toward. You're the general, right in the very front, so you can walk wherever you want to walk. Walk to a sandy beach in Tahiti if you feel like it's. What are you gonna do? It's your call. How you want to weather this storm. Me, I'm gonna be buttoned up in a little, nice little hobbit hole. I'm gonna be safe, secure and protected. But you know, I'm gonna be out there with my tomatoes, still out in the sunshine, still out there saying hi to my neighbors, still doing all the good work that I do. And if bad things come around, I'll go into my hobbit hole. But mostly I'm thinking my tomatoes are going to survive. I'm giving them so much love right now. My garden is going to flourish and grow, even if I had to get out there twice to plant it. So with that, let's flow.
Safe, secure and protected. A flow dream. My eyes close as I let my mind disengage. I let go of everything. Everything except my desire to let go and fl. I breathe deeply, feeling my chest fill. I hold it as I count slowly to three, Then release. I let go in my forehead, all tension relaxing. My jaw loosens. My neck and shoulders drop. Letting go, I continue to breathe and feel my abdomen loosen. And I'm settled. I'm at rest. I'm ready to daydream. I feel a soft sweep of energy curl around me like a whisper of air caressing me. A hint of bells and laughter. I can feel a place so near me, where all is safe, protected and good. Where nothing that causes fear or suffering or negativity can even exist. It's here, now that I go here, to this place where safety is abundant. Where I relax and let go fully into who I am, knowing that I'm intensely secure and protected and comforted. Sometimes I need this. Sometimes I want this. Sometimes I must go here to align myself to this joy and love. And security. And remind myself that this is endless around me. It surrounds me so near I can be there in a heartbeat, in an instant. Once I remember and return my mind to this natural place where I really belong and I really exist. It's where my whole life takes on. This rosy glow of warm, guiding, protection. Doesn't matter what goes on around me, what goes on outside of me. That's not my stuff. It's not mine. I refuse it. I belong in protection. Warmth, comfort, strength, courage, fearlessness. That's where I belong. And that, now is where I go off down the road, the glittering bright road. I'm moving right now, I can feel it toward pure safety and love and understanding. And as I move, I begin to feel how in everything I do, I'm protected. In everything I do, I'm kept safe. I'm protected from wrong choices. I'm protected from bad ideas. I'm protected from negativity. And especially, I'm protected from negative people. I walk in a halo of protection. Wherever I go, where all negativity bounces off me, it's reflected. It goes right back to the sender. I'm sorry, I don't accept. I can't. I'm not like you. I don't align to that. I'm not that. I can't be that. Even if you wanted me to participate in this negativity or that fear, I can't. It's not me. So you have to take it back. Because I. I walk and I flow in this halo of protection. And this means that whatever I attempt, I'm safe. I can feel that safety. I'm being guided and I'm looked after. And whatever I do, whatever I attempt, it also means that wherever I am, wherever I am in the whole world, I know that the people and situations that are not in alignment with me, they simply don't influence me. They don't come into my life. I'm protected wherever I am, whatever I do. So I make all decisions and choices calmly, with focus, following that sense inside me of what's right and good. I don't let anyone put fear in me or try to scare me or try to make me be a certain way by the things that they say or try to do to me. I don't allow it. That's not me. That's not me. I'm safe. I'm protected. I am not where they are. I am not in that energy. I am not in that vibration. I am not aligned to them. I am a constant flowing stream of light. I flow around Them. I flow past them. I flow past all things that could offer me any kind of harm. I'm just not there for them. They become irrelevant to my life. Irrelevant, harmless. I'm untouchable. So I allow this confidence to blossom inside me like a bud, blooming, unfurling my petals to soak up the rich, warm light of the secure sunlight. I see myself like this, absorbed in my flow, taking it in this warmth, this guidance. My life and my flow. It feeds me, flows through me. And all those things that might try to take me down to their level, take me down a notch, through fear, through threats, through anything. How silly those are. Silly. I refuse you. I refuse them. I say no. Sorry, but that's not me. You're just a paper tiger, shadows in the dark. Nothing. You may be real to yourself, to itself, whatever that is outside me, but it's not real to me. I am always being diverted from harm. I am always being protected. I am always being. Being led in the right direction. I'm always being brought to a place where I can bloom, where I can be myself, where I can flow freely with comfort and security no matter what I do, say, think or act like. Of course I'm wise and I'm thoughtful. I don't put myself in silly risk situations. I know better than that. Something comes up inside me whenever I have even an inkling to go there, and that thing says to me, oh, you want to be protected? Right? Here's the right choice. And I follow it. It's so easy. So easy. This is why I can trust. This is why I can know. This is why I can allow myself to be, explore and savor and taste and try and be and become. Because all those things that could cause me harm, cause anyone harm, they don't align to me. They simply don't align because I feel the divine inside me. And I'm even a little surprised what this feels like, the divine in me. Yet it's there. I can feel it. I can tug on it. The divine in me is connected to something so great, so remarkable. It's like following a beautiful river of stars into a light so, so bright that only the most pure, harmonious and good things exist there. And I'm connected to it. This is my connection to divinity. This is how I'm guided. This is how I'm protected. This is how I'm safe. This is how the right choices and decisions and wise moves just spontaneously arise in me. Because I'm connected. I'm being fed by this source, this beauty, this godliness. This is my connection to strength. This is what resets my inner energy to a vibration or a level of being so fine, so pure, so strong that nothing that's beneath or below me can even touch me. Can't even find me, can't even see me. I spin too fast for it. Nothing under my energy of being can keep hold of me. Because I'm moving at a pace and a vibration and a heartbeat of feeling that it can't hold if it's not at my level. It can't hold me, let alone see me. So I'm never bothered or afraid. Never, never, never. I'm protected. I've given myself to this light.
This.
Purity, this goodness, this divinity. And I am protected. I am aligned to it. I am protected in all things that I do, think, feel or experience. I feel this deep sense of safety engulf me, making me disappear to anyone or anything that isn't good for me. I simply don't exist for them or it. I'm not their vibration or in their flow. Only the best, most wonderful guidance is aligned to me. And I hear and feel and drink this guidance. And I commit right now. I open myself wholly and fully. I commit to being in this place, at this level. Because this is the true me. And it's here that I am forever. Safe, secure and protected. Unshakable. So even now, as I return to my day or night, I let this feeling, this knowing follow me, settling in around my shoulders like a great white soft cloak. I'm safe, secure and protected. Always. Forever. And now. So now as I return at the count of three, down to one.
I.
Feel so strong, confident and completely at ease. Three. Two, one.
