we have to understand that not all friction is bad. The enemy is useless friction. You know what I'm talking about. It's that toxic, ego-driven attitude of "we know better than you." What we want is useful friction. That's when we're collaborative. It's the idea that, "Hey, we both have a piece of the puzzle, so let's challenge each other a bit and build a way better picture together." Now, when that useless friction wins and everyone retreats into their silos, oh boy. The results are just a total waste. You end up with two different competitive databases, battle cards that contradict each other, and even the sales team going rogue making their own stuff. It's just a chaotic mess that only helps your competitors.
