What is Competitive Intelligence?

Competitive intelligence is often mistaken for just battle cards, but it's really about building a deep strategic understanding of competitors. That means tracking product trends, patents, and market direction to anticipate what competitors will likely do next, not predict the future with certainty.
people say, well, this is just corporate profiles and battle cards, right? Is it? What else is out there?
Yeah, well, thanks for this question, and it's dear to my heart when we're talking about the CI outputs. And most of the time we hear about battle cards because it is the easiest, let's say, output. But I personally don't like focusing on battle cards because it's really tactical. And it's made to, let's say, help make deals. And let's say how to attack, how to defend, and what are the strengths and weaknesses, etc. That's, that's really important. But the goal is way more than that. It's, it's more to really understand at the deep level, uh, the competitive landscape, the competitors, their profile completely, and their products, how they compare to us. And more than that, when we have that picture of our competitive landscape and we know what they are offering and where they are up to, is to not predict the future, because I don't believe we can predict the future, but increase the data points, allowing us to see what is the most probable action. They will perform in the future. So there's way more than that. So when you're talking about battle cards, it's just tactical. At strategic level, I, I really think big picture about the competition. Let's say top 3 competitors, then top 10, and the trends, uh, and the features customers are looking for or services customers are looking for, etc., and how these competitors are responding or they are working on, if there are patents on that or anything that will show us that the market is going there, whether it's a blue ocean or a red ocean and things like that. So way more than, uh, battle cards, I would say, way more CI outputs which are more strategic than that. And this is something we really keep in mind as CI professionals. When we hear about battle cards, we always say yes, we will help you with that, But it's not, it's not everything we do in Comparavent. It's way more than that.
So I wanted to go back to the MVP. So Daniel has a question for
