Your Detox Protocol Might Be Missing This

Gary Brecka outlines a sauna detox protocol combining dry sauna with red light, glutathione supplementation, and a liter of fluid to activate liver detox pathways. He emphasizes wiping sweat off during the session to prevent reabsorption of toxins, and notes sauna clears inflammatory compounds from the brain that impair cognitive function.

So, sauna is absolutely one of my favorite ways to detox. The evidence on sauna is in. It's actually dose-dependent. So, we know that it has an impact, positive impact on cardiovascular disease. We know it has a positive impact on all-cause mortality. That data is clearly in. I don't think that it's delineated between a dry sauna versus an infrared sauna. I prefer dry sauna. This is a dry sauna. I actually put some red light, same in here too. When I get in the sauna, I take a symbiotic of glutathione. Remember, glutathione is something that resides inside of every living cell in your body. Every single cell in your body has glutathione. It's made by our liver. It's considered the master antioxidant. Certain gene mutations impair your glutathione production, and when glutathione production is low, you have significant issues detoxifying from things like heavy metals, mold, mycotoxins, even parasites and viruses. So because they— you don't clear those inflammatory pathways. So I love these, uh, single-use packs by, uh, Symbiotica. It has phosphatidylcholine, it has other carriers in there. So I'll take a glutathione, I'll try to put down about a liter of fluid during that time. And just getting a liter of fluid and sweating and, and taking glutathione packet, you know that you're getting your detoxification pathways working. So you're not just excreting creating waste out through the skin. You're also detoxifying through what's called Phase 1 and Phase 2 liver detox. The other thing that I really love, uh, about, uh, sauna is the cognitive benefits because we get histamines and cytokines and other inflammatory compounds trapped in our brain. A lot of us aren't getting enough deep sleep. We're not clearing our lymphatic channels, and sauna can actually make up for a lot of that lack of waste elimination. So if you're doing sauna, and certainly if you are detoxing from something like a mold or mycotoxin, or you've had a methylation test and you know that your detox pathways are not working, glutathione is a must-have in your stack. You can take it right before sauna. And another trick that I've learned is to actually wipe down the sweat during sauna. So you actually take those toxins that are sitting on the top of your skin that are in your pores like a little bowl, and instead of allowing them to be resorbed, you actually wipe them off. So go check out the, uh, glutathione.
