In this acoustic video, Gedalya, known as the Folk Rock Rabbi, announces his upcoming 2026 album titled Constant Running River, a nine‑song collection that explores inner confusion and the quest for deep wisdom. He highlights specific tracks such as the title‑track Constant Running River, the experimental song No Choice, and a reflective piece called A Tree Made Me Cry. Gedalya also references recent blog posts where he delves into themes of pain, numbness, and the sensation of life feeling like a dream. He muses on the paradox of feeling real versus disliking that feeling, using conversational language to connect his musical work with broader philosophical reflections.

Hey, how's everyone doing today? This is Gedalya, the Folk Rock Rabbi. I say that every time, don't I? It's Gedalya, the Folk Rock Rabbi. You know it's the Folk Rock Rabbi by now, right? Who doesn't know if it's the Folk Rock Rabbi? Raise your hand if you never heard of the Folk Rock Rabbi. Wow, a lot of people never heard of the Folk Rock Rabbi. Anyway, you know, this— I've got a new album that's coming out in 2026 called Constant Running River. Lower down the rope to the water's flow, to the deepest wisdom every man can know. The Constant Running River has got 9 songs, including Constant Running River, which is about all the confusion that just exists inside of a human being that just prevents us from kind of tapping into the well of wisdom that's they are deep inside of us. I've got also my Folk Rock Rabbi experiment, which I just put out a song that's called "No Choice." A tree made me cry, mentioning something that happened before. A few new blog posts that I'm just kind of going into some interesting ideas. It is hard to feel the pain. You get very numb. I was talking to someone the other day and they just said that they just feel like their whole life is a dream, you know, like they don't even feel real. Does that make sense to you? How could you not feel real? I mean, you're real. Maybe you just don't realize what it feels like to feel real. Because if you're feeling and you're real, so then You're feeling real, but you just maybe don't like the way it feels to feel real. Maybe that's what it is.
