What are your thoughts, Boogie Boy? It is raining and it's sad and I don't want it to rain. It's the way it goes. Guess we made the right choice. It is raining. I hate the treadmill. So we're wrapping up our workout here, and I guess running on the treadmill does have some benefit. I was able to watch an interview with Holly Holm, who, for those of you don't watch, uh, UFC, Ultimate Fighting, they, uh, she was the young lady who defeated, uh, Ronda Rousey. And they were interviewing her, and of course, you know, she wasn't supposed to win. And so you ask all the logical questions of, well, how did you get yourself up and believe that you could win, all of that? And she simply said, you know, I think everybody undersells himself. I mean, why can't it be me? Anybody can lose. Why can't I be the winner? And I thought that was really powerful. So we got some rain, we got our workout and our run in. I guess I better put the phone away before it gets wet. Today is a very important day, and the reason it's important is because yesterday I had a bad day and let things get away from me and and I let things take over and I let my emotions go and I just decided to have a bad day. And the reason today is so important is because with yesterday being a bad day, and there were lots of things I didn't even share on the video that went wrong, I can't let a trend happen. I can't let 2 days in a row be bad. So it's essential that I make sure that I do everything I can to protect myself from having a bad day today. I got started early. I made sure I got everything done early. I got my routine done early. I had breakfast early. I got coffee time in early. I'm on the road early. I'm making sure that everything I can do is designed to make sure that I have success after success after success. Small little successes lead to a successful day, and that's what I'm bound and determined to have today. Gotta have a good day today. Find myself caught behind a vehicle that's driving this way too slow, and I've been behind them now for about 5 miles on this two-lane road, and I'm just thinking to myself how frustrating it is and all of that, and I've got to guard against that. I've got to make sure that I remember, you know, it's even in 5 miles, even if I had been going faster than they were, I'm not going to go that much faster. It's just the fact that they're in front of me, and I can't let something like this determine how my day turns out. It'd be very easy just to start getting frustrated, start getting frustrated, start getting frustrated, and the next thing you know, you are frustrated. I'm not going to let it happen today. This has been a very good day. We have gotten a lot done. I guess what— I guess a A good day is whatever you decide is a good day. And, um, I guess you can decide every day is a good day if you want to, but today, by the measurement of being productive and moving forward, today's been a very good day. And then we got ready to do our walk, and lo and behold, it's raining. And that didn't stop us. We are out. All 4 of us have, uh, our umbrellas up, and we're gonna get our walk in and spend a little time together. Hopefully we won't get too wet. News alert: buy what you want the first time. I hear that it might cost you 3 times as much and you'll still end up buying what you wanted in the first place. It's getting a little aggressive out here with the wind and the rain. It's a lot of fun right now. It is anyways. Grant's hunkered down over there. I love it. He's loving it. We're loving it. Carson's loving it. Fort. We need to do this more often because this is fun. The stakes have just been raised in our walk. Even Carson's using the umbrella properly now. It is pouring. My toes are wet, but we're gonna finish this walk. Hey, Car. Yeah? Does this one rank up there with that walk in the, in the park where we got on the police pistol range by accident? Close! Not there yet, but it's close. So I know it looks like it's bright and sunny behind me, but it's actually very wet and rainy, and we have successfully finished our walk. What great determination from everyone. Tammy and Carson decided they wanted to go no matter what. That's just awesome. I know it's impossible to believe, but we're out of internet again. Tuesday evening, it's about 9 o'clock, wrapping up a really good day. We're 5 days out now to the Marathon, and today was a good day mostly because I decided it would be. Not particularly anything great happened other than the fact that I was able to keep focused and do the things that I wanted to do and make the day productive. And the things that did go wrong could have easily taken me off track like they did yesterday, but I just decided they weren't going to, and I was just going to focus on the positive. Uh, the things that I was sidetracked by, I tackled quickly and I moved on. So I feel really good about that, but I feel especially good about the fact that even though it was raining, Tammy and Carson decided they wanted to get out and do their walk today. Really proud of that progress because that's the kind of dedication that makes sure that when the chips are down, you're going to be out there and doing what you need to do. And I know that when it comes time next week to register for the Peachtree Road Race, we're all going to register and that we're all going to finish. And it's going to be a great thing. So we'll have a couple of months to get ready for that. But wrapping up a great day. Tomorrow is Wednesday. We're on a streak here with some pretty bad weather. Rain-wise, we've just had a lot of rain the past couple of days, so it's been treadmill running. And it looks like it's going to be treadmill running again tomorrow morning. Not real sure though. Maybe this front will move through a little faster. It does seem to be getting windy and colder, so maybe that means that our weather is going to change and it'll get through and we'll be able to run outside tomorrow. I sure hope so. But that's it. Day 23, 28 days, 5 days to go. Actually, tomorrow, by the time we get started, we'll be down to 4. It's getting very, very real. Looking forward to it.
