Number 8 is follow up. This is really important. This is really where people find out what you're really made of. And following up happens so infrequently that now it looks like you're really above and beyond the rest. When you get a referral, make sure that you follow up with that referral, but also make sure that you go back to the person that gave it and let them know where the, the conversation has gone, what the stage of the conversation is. Sometimes they give you a referral, you follow up, you don't get any response, but if you follow back up with the person who gave you the referral, they can push it forward and get you that first meeting that turns into a great relationship for business. So make sure you follow up, and then also make sure that you keep the person who gave you that referral in the loop. And then finally, as far as follow-up goes, It's always appropriate to send a thank you or a thank you email, a thank you card to those people you meet with. One thing you don't want to do is you don't want to send a blanket thank you to everybody that attended the meeting whether you met them or not. We see a lot of that. It really is disingenuous and it's, it's obvious. So make sure you don't do that. But those people that you do have meaningful meetings with, make sure that you follow up with them and follow up with them with a thank you of a card or an email at least.
