Welcome. I'm Alexandra J. Johnson, and of course be your host for this event. And I'm here to officially welcome you to the Pleasure Advantage. I'm thrilled to share all of this amazing information with you over the next five days. I think you're going to love it, and I have a few things that I want to share with you, and these are the few things. Number one, I want to talk about why the Pleasure Advantage. Like, why did I create the Pleasure Advantage? Two, I want to talk about how you can get the most out of this conference. Three, I want to share my five tips to get you started on your pleasure journey. And the last one is some gratitude and love. And I also have some notes because, you know, I'm a mom, and the last 13 months, I haven't had a full night of sleep, and my brain sometimes needs a little help. So I have my notes. So bear with me as we. As we go through this whole process. Okay, so first, the Pleasure Advantage. Like, why the Pleasure Advantage? And I, for me, as I said, you know, I'm a new mom, and when I had my baby boy, it was miraculous and amazing and transformative and powerful and so amazing for all of you parents, you know what I'm talking about. And at the same time, was challenging, and it was intense, and there's nothing that can prepare you for parenthood. And I just felt like I really wanted more pleasure, that there was more. There was more joy to be had, there was more delight to be had. Like, I just wanted to have more fun. Like, of course, challenge. Life can be challenging. Parenting can be challenging. Like, all. All of it can be. Can be challenging. But what if we could actually have more fun with it? So that was my inquiry, that was my desire. So I created the Pleasure Advantage and reached out to these extraordinary experts to help us with all these areas of our life. And I think pleasure is so important, and it's often missing in a lot of personal growth work. There's so much work. There's so much emphasis on being rich and being successful and beautiful and famous and super healthy and superhuman, which I love all of those things. I'm a passionate student of optimal living, and I love it. But at the same time, who doesn't want to be superhuman, right? I mean, I totally want to be super human. But at the same time, what I'm most passionate about and most interested in my own life and helping others is like, how do you feel? Like setting all these goals are great and they're amazing and they're fantastic, but if they leave you not feeling nourished and cranky and irritable and just then that's not right for you. So this has been my process, like, what makes me happy, what gives me joy? Are you feeling happy? Do you feel nourished? Do you feel pleasure pulsing through your body? Ah. And if we're not feeling that, if we're not feeling radiantly alive, then that's a sign, in my opinion, that we need to drop in, we need to slow down, we need to connect with ourselves and say, okay, what is important? What gives me pleasure? Like what? When do I feel most joyful? And then we, then we create our lives around those things versus like, this is a good idea to do or this is what they say I should do to be healthy. This is what they say I should do to run a business. This is what they say I should do for parenting, whatever. Like drop it all and find your joy. So that's why I created the Pleasure Advantage, so that, you know, to inspire you, to help you to find more joy, to find more fun, to find more play, to find more sexiness, to find all that good mojo. Alright, so the second thing is tips on how to get the most out of the conference. You know, as you know, there's the. All the interviews will be available for free for the next five days. So you can. Each interview will be available for 24 hours. So look at the list of speakers and experts and see which one resonate with you. And then make, make a priority, put it in your schedule, like, okay, I want to listen to this person's interview and listen to all the ones that you want to listen to. Don't try to do all of them, just find the little ones that you get. And if you get one big idea that you start implementing into your life, like, I feel like it's a success, you know, having more pleasure in the world, you being more joyful, ah, we win on that. And if you want to, of course, you know, take the next five days and do a pleasure retreat, go all nuts, listen to everything, do everything, if that works for you, that's cool too. And as you, you know, as we said before too, you'll be able to purchase all these interviews, so you'll be able to listen to the audios, watch the videos and read the Transcripts, whenever, wherever you want. So that's how the conference is going to, going to roll. And the third thing is I have my. Let me pull them up here. My five favorite tips for increasing your pleasure. And these are very simple. And you're gonna learn about these as well throughout the conference. But we're gonna start off with the first one is permission for pleasure. This is a big one. We have to give ourselves permission to feel good. We have to say like, my joy is important, my desires are important, and that going to give this to myself. Like we need to start with yes. Okay, so right now, declare my pleasure is important. I give myself permission to have pleasure, be a part of my daily life. So that's it. Setting the intention, the declaration, Boom, we got that. Okay, so now we have the yes. Then we move into making time for pleasure. You know, we all have busy lives, we have full lives. Things are happening. And we need to take that declaration, that intention into practice. And we need to create time in our lives for pleasure. Like schedule it. Schedule time for your pleasure. Do what is most important. And you know, there a lot of our time, a lot of our days, we can wake up and there's so many things that we want to do. But as an experiment, play with, you know, I'm going to wake up and I'm going to do something simple that gives me pleasure. It can be like just a few minutes. It can be a moment of gratitude. It could be a little dance, it could be some deep breathing, it could be going out to greet the sun. Do something pleasurable to start your day. And then just do little. Make little times for you to have more pleasure. Like go outside and eat, go for a walk. Just find different ways of doing that and make it a priority. Make time for pleasure. Okay, so then we have that, we're making time for pleasure. And one of the best things that I found to help me with this practice is to have big yeses and big nos. So what I mean by that is, what are your big nos? What do you know? Actually depletes you, doesn't feel good, doesn't give you pleasure, but you're still doing it. Maybe you're drinking too much, maybe you're eating too much, maybe you're on Facebook too much, maybe you're. Who knows, what is it? So get clear about what those things are. Don't think or analyze it too much. Just write it down. Like, what are my nos? What do I need to say no to? What do I need to create kind of constraints and rules Around. So for me, currently, like, I'm limiting my. I'm actually not checking email. I'm not checking Facebook. I'm not on Twitter. I'm just creating these rules for the next couple months to really drop deeper into myself, into my work and spend time with my family and cooking and just a variety of different things. So I have some serious, serious constraints that help me that I really enjoy doing. Okay, so you have your constraints. Then you go to your yeses. What are your big yeses? What are the things that, you know, give you energy, vitality, and light you up? Make a list of those so that if you're ever wondering, oh, what should I do for pleasure? You have your big list. So for me, I have, you know, spending time with my son, with my husband, cooking, meditating, yoga, dance, being out in nature, journaling, creating. I got a whole bunch of lists, a whole bunch of yeses. So then I have those in my journal, and I can look at it and say, oh, am I. Am I engaging in these yeses as much as I'd like to? And you just have it in front of you so that you' you know, these are important to me. And fill your time up with those things that give you pleasure and joy and drop the rest like, it doesn't. It doesn't matter. You don't need to do a lot of the stuff we do we don't need to do, and we definitely don't need to do it when we think we need to do it. So just challenge those ideas. Okay, the fourth one is create new stories. For so many of us, we have negative stories around our pleasure, and we, you know, we resist pleasure in many ways. Like, we. We can get in victim mode, and we can get into really thinking life is hard and not wanting to choose fun and all of these things, but really practice choosing and creating new stories about pleasure and about your life. You know, if you're doing something that you feel like, ugh, I don't want to do it, but it's part of daily life that needs to get done, then how can you have more fun? Like, how can you create a new story? Like, oh, I hate doing laundry. It sucks. I have so much of it. Oh, blah, blah, blah. Or, you know what? I'm gonna put some tunes on, and I'm gonna shake my booty, and I'm gonna do some gratitude and appreciate my family. Mmm, mmm, mmm. Can you feel it? Can you feel the difference? So when we do that, if we actually do those things and just reorient, shift Our perspective, shift our stories and create new empowering stories. We're gonna have more pleasure and that we don't need to totally change our lives. Just little things that we can do to up our pleasure is huge. Okay, so. Oh, also, I wanted to say on that is how do you know if something. You know, how do you know if you're in kind of a negative story about yourself or what about anything you can tune into your body. So what is your body saying when you're doing something? You know, how do you feel? Do you feel tight? Do you feel stressed? Do you feel cranky? Or do you feel joyful and light and happy and sparkly? So if you feel that, then you're on to something. If you're feeling the other, you need to make a shift. You need to create a new story, change your thoughts, change your body, change the whole game. It's all a game. We just gotta make up new games. So if you're ever feeling that, oh, change the game, create new rules so that you can win and you can be happy and choose fun no matter what. Okay, the fifth one, the fifth idea is, do you. Do I love this idea and I come back to it over and over in my own life all the time. And do your pleasure, like, what gives you pleasure and rock it. Is it gourmet food? Is it dancing? Is it bowling? Is it hiking? Is it meditating? Is it silence? Is it reading? Is it heavy metal? Is it Mozart? What is it for you? And we all know it. Like, if you get off or you, when you're done watching this video, you write, like, what gives me pleasure, like what turns me on. We all know. And the idea then is once we know, then we just do it. We let go of shoulds, we let go of, oh, this person's doing that and this person's doing that, and I should do that. If I was really a really good pleasure person, I would do that and I would have sex every hour and I would do this and wah, yes, crazy. So let go of all of that and just be you. Do you. This is a super simple idea, but literally transforms. So what else on that? Oh, try to please yourself, do you? And please yourself versus trying to please others all the time. It's exhausting. When we're trying to please others and make sure that people like us drop it, let it go and say, you know what? I'm gonna. I'm gonna experiment with this and I'm gonna please myself. I'm gonna bring the joy and bring the light and boom. Let's see what happens. You know, we've spent years, decades, trying to please other people and making sure that we're liked. And let's give that one a rest and just be authentically awesome. Just be ourselves. Okay, so that's it. I want to add one more. Just quick dance. That's the sixth tip. Dance like the next five days. Shake your booty. Shake your booty. Put some tunes on and just shake it out. It doesn't matter if you're a good dancer. It doesn't matter what you listen to. Just give yourself one dance a day and see how it feels. If you feel a little uncomfortable on the first day, maybe it'll get easier on the second, and before you know it, you're gonna be like, singing, ha ha. Yeah, I'm a rock star. Okay, that's it. I'm gonna end on that one. Those are my tips. Okay? So the last thing that I want to say is give some. Some big, big gratitude. I want to give a big shout out to all of the amazing experts who have shared their wisdom so generously. It's been so fun collaborating with you, and I thank you. Thank you, thank you. And then also the Entheos team. I love you. Thank you for all of your brilliance and your commitment and your passion and your mastery. Amazing. And my husband, who is the visionary of it all, Everything, everything is possible because of him. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And then my sweet baby boy, who is such an amazing example of pure pleasure and joy and delight in the simple things and who I. I feel so blessed. I get to call myself a mother because of him. And yes, so much gratitude and love to my baby boy. What else is there? There is lots of gratitude to all the people that help with my work and the people that help with our home and the people that help with our family so that I could actually do these interviews, that I could have the time and the space to do this. Like, thank you, thank you, thank you. And what else did I have here? Oh, you. Thank you for signing up for this conference. Thank you for being a pleasure. Revolutionary. Thank you. This is a courageous step. I think, you know, it's easier to do life hard like a lot of people are doing life hard. And to start to really be brave and stand up and say, you know, I want to do it differently. I want more joy and I want more fun, and I want to be the light. I want to be a joy bringer. I want to raise the vibration. I want to feel good. Like, that takes courage in today's world. So I thank you for being here. I thank you for being willing to explore and experiment with pleasure and to add it to your life. And I think the more of us that actually engage in our pleasure like we change the world, who doesn't want to hang out with people who are fun and having fun and bringing the light? So thank you for being a change maker and let me see if I have anything else that I wanted to share. I think that's it. Enjoy the pleasure. Party for the next five days. It's going to be awesome. Just really tune in to these teachers and write down and make notes of what resonates with you and put it into practice and experiment with it. And I got somebody calling me, put it into practice and experiment with it. And as Emerson says, all life is an experiment. The more experiments better. So be willing to go out there, do something ridiculous, do something different, be playful, be safe, silly. Be you to the fullest. And yeah, just see what turns you on. See what turns you on and makes you feel radiantly alive and do that more. A lot more. Alright, my dear ones, I thank you and I send you lots and lots of love and gratitude and happy dances and may your life be filled up with, with an abundance of pleasure, delight and joy.
