Why I Believe This Work Matters | Rock Your Goddess Life

Alexandra Johnson argues that women stepping into their power can transform families and culture. She contrasts the traditional Hero's Journey with her Heroine's Journey, which emphasizes community and joy over solitary struggle. Her coaching program Rock Your Goddess Life builds the supportive community women need to become heroines of their own lives.

So I just got done with a workout. I'm a little sweaty. It's really hot. But I was thinking about why I think this work matters so much. A lot of my work, personal work with Phil Stutz, has been that the world needs the feminine and that we both believe that women can change the world. But in order for women to change the world, they have to be willing to step into their power. They have to be willing to say yes to their dreams. And so I think this work is so important because when a woman starts to do that, she starts to own her life. become the heroine of her own life, she impacts herself, of course, but it ripples out to her family, her community, and the world. And, I think, the more women doing that is going to shift families, societies, culture, and the world. So, I'm with Phil. I think the world needs the feminine. And then, also, a lot of us have heard about the hero's journey. Joseph Campbell, amazing work. But, what we do in Rock Your Art of Life is the heroine's journey. And so, I have a little bit of a different take, the hero's journey and the heroine's journey. The Heroine's Journey is different. We have a whole map for that, and 10 stages, and we work with that in Rock Your Goddess Life. But, at the heart of it, I think that sometimes the Hero's Journey is, hey, I'm going to go up this mountain by myself. I'm just going to do it, right? And, it's, I'm just going to make it happen. The way that I see the Heroine's Journey is, yeah, I would like to do that mountain. That sounds fun. But, you know what? I want to enjoy the journey, and I don't want to do it alone. So when I envision it, I'm like the woman's climbing up the mountain. But you know what? She's got a whole bunch of women around her. She has a community around her. She's having fun. She's taking breaks. She's laughing. She's dancing. Yes, she is doing the work. She's gonna get to the mountain, but she doesn't need to suffer to get to the mountain. She can do it joyfully. And of course, there's gonna be challenges. You're gonna stub your toe, and you're gonna be like, oh, this is frustrating. Maybe fall. All fine. But we can do it in this. Within a community. So I think that is super important for women to have a community of women to be able to climb the mountain together. And there's so much I want to tell you about the heroine's journey, but I'm not going to do this because this video would literally be 2 hours. So that's why I think that this work is so important. I think that women, one, need other women, and two, women really need to own their lives. We all want to be the heroines of our own life. Right? We want to stop being a victim in certain areas of our life, and we want to step into our life and be the heroine that we know we can be. So, that is what Rock Your Goddess Life is all about: stepping into your life, becoming a heroic woman, a heroic goddess, and going on the adventure of a lifetime. And, that adventure of a lifetime is you doing what you know you are here to do, be, have, and create. So if any of this resonates, sign up for Rocky Goddess Life. We will have an awesome time. I promise your life will be impacted, things will change, and it will be amazing. And I would love to support you on your Heroine's Journey. All right, lots of love. Bye.
