3 Powerful Ways to Walk in Power Using Father God, the Word and the Holy Spirit

The contemporary church faces a power shortage because believers are kept from the Bible and Holy Spirit by Satan's deception. Using Genesis 1 and Acts 1, the host shows how the Father, Word, and Spirit work together to empower believers as witnesses. Reading, speaking, and living out God's Word with faith unleashes power to break spiritual strongholds.

Welcome to episode 311. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Well, I want to get right into this episode and we're going to talk about the power shortage that I'm seeing. Maybe I'm the only one in the body of Christ that can see the body is not operating in the power the early church operated in, and I believe that that's on purpose from the punk. I've told you multiple times that I believe that Satan is here to steal and kill and destroy, just like the Bible says, but he also deceives us and he divides us. He keeps us away from the word of God. If you've ever wondered why you just don't pick up the Bible and read it all the time, I believe it's because the Bible is where Satan does his battle. The only way he can fight you is to keep you away from the Bible and keep your eyes in this world, in the physical realm. I know you may not agree with that, but I believe it's true. I believe that if Satan can keep you out of the word of God, then you're not going to walk in faith. You are not going to act in faith. Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. It's impossible to please God without faith. But we're going to get into the Bible real quick because this is a Bible study. We're going to start at the beginning of the book Genesis 1:1. We're going to see Father God, we're going to see the Holy Spirit, and we're going to see the Word all working together in the first 3 verses of the Bible. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, Let there be light, and there was light. Now I'm going to pause right there for a minute, and I want you to picture Father God is there in verse 1, the Holy Spirit is there in verse 2, and Jesus is there in verse 3. Because in John 1:1, we've talked about this multiple times. In fact, I used to have the intro guy say, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And then John 1:14, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. So Jesus is the Word. So anytime God speaks the Word, if you can picture Jesus being there, I want you to see how God is represented as the Father, as the Spirit, and as the Word. And if we can keep that in our mind, if we can picture Father God, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit, I think it's going to be easier to conduct power down here on earth. And I want us to be able to kick Satan's teeth in every chance we get. He's a punk. He don't want you nowhere around the word because he does not want you fighting in the spirit realm. And that's where God is. That's where the word of God is. That's where the Holy Spirit is. And that's where Father God is. And that is where Satan is not going to be. Satan is coming into this world. If you can't tell all of this divisiveness, all of this fear, all of this tension, all of this just anger and angst and everything— if you can't feel that, then you're not paying attention. And the next verse I want to read is one that we've talked about multiple times. I know I've said that a lot on these episodes, but there are scriptures that I just have concentrated on that I don't believe get enough emphasis or enough play in the body of Christ, and that is John 16:7. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I depart, I will send him to you. Now I want you to picture that verse right there. Jesus was telling his disciples the night before his crucifixion, and he's saying, hey, I'm leaving, I'm out of here, but it's to your advantage. We're not going to talk about that. I just want you just let that sit there, that Jesus said, hey, I'm leaving he's going to send the Holy Spirit. We're going to go to Acts 1:4, 5, and 8. And being assembled together with them, he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which he said, you have heard from me. For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. And then skip down to verse 8. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Now I want you to put those two verses together, and I'm probably going to put them all together on the screen so that you can see John 16:7 and Acts 1:4, 5, and 8. In John 16:7, Jesus says, hey, I'm going to depart from you, but if I don't go, I won't send the Helper. But if I go, I will send him to you. In Acts, he's talking again, same Helper, same Holy Spirit. He says, hey, wait here until the Spirit comes. Now I want to go back to Genesis 1. It talks about how God created the heaven and the earth. It says that in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, and that the Spirit was hovering over the face of the earth, and it was without form and void. The point I want to make is the Spirit of God was hovering over the world. The Spirit of God was over the whole world. He is over the whole world now. I don't know why the Spirit left, or if he left, or whatever, but in the Old Testament, the Spirit of God was not over everyone or over the whole earth. He came upon a couple. We're going to talk about that in the next episode. The Holy Spirit is now here to stay, and he's everywhere. And it's fascinating. I don't think we get enough emphasis on the Holy Spirit. I think the Holy Spirit— because some people, when the Holy Spirit gets on them, they act kind of funny or act kind of weird, and I don't think that that matters how somebody acts. I just think we ought to look at the Word of God, and we ought to just read the Word of God for what it says instead of what it does not say. And the last scripture I want to talk about before we close is John 14:12, another one of those scriptures that I absolutely love that has changed my life. Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. Well, all right, well, there you go. We have Father God at the beginning, we have the Word of God at the beginning, and we have the Holy Spirit at the beginning. And I believe that in order for us the church to work in the same power, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit needs to be together for the power to be released here on earth. And I believe that the Holy Spirit is here. I believe that he's here today. He's covered the whole world. I believe that Father God is inside of us, and the word of God— we plant the word of God in us. I believe— I don't know exactly how it all happens, but if you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior Father God resides in your heart. You become a new creature. You become a child of the King. God is inside of you. The Word of God, the Bible, has power that when you speak the Word of God out— that's why Satan don't want you in it— but you speak the Word of God out, and with the Holy Spirit here, if you say it with faith, then it's going to kick spiritual walls down. It's going to tear down strongholds. It is wonderful. We need to get after it, and we need to work in the power of the Holy Spirit. We need to work in this power of this word, and we need to believe that Father God is for us and he's not against us. We're going to get into that in the next episode, but let's close right now. God, I thank you so much for your word. I thank you for your Holy Spirit. Father God, I thank you for the plan from the beginning. Of the world, you had this plan planned out and it came together perfectly. And Satan didn't have a chance. He didn't even know what hit him. But God, we thank you for your wisdom. We thank you for your power, and we thank you for the love that you had by sending your Son. God, we pray that you would just continue to lead and guide and direct us into all truth. Lord, we thank you, we love you, we ask it all in Jesus' name. Amen. Well, thank you for being a part of this, and I look forward to visiting with you in the next episode.
