Bible Study Lesson- The Kingdom Of God - The Power of the Seed and an Invitation Pt. 8

Greg Ryan explains how the Holy Spirit communicates through Scripture and why believers must do the Word, not just hear it. He launches a new 30-day online Bible study on April 1 designed for daily engagement with Scripture.
Welcome to episode 39. I think I'm going to wrap up the power of the seed, but first we've got to go to John 1:1.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Spending time in the Word of God is the best way to spend time with God. Welcome to No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe podcast. Where we will encourage, inspire, and empower you to live your best life in Christ. Here's Greg.
Welcome to episode 39. If this is your first time here, you have missed a lot. We've missed 38 other episodes, but I want to thank you for stopping by, and I hope you, uh, enjoy what you hear. But I am going to kind of try to wrap the power of the seed up today. I'm going to try to get it kind of tied all in a bow I don't know that I'm gonna be able to pull it off, but here we go. As I've taught in previous episodes, I think there's this physical realm and a spiritual realm, and God is all in the middle of the spirit realm. Now, he comes and goes in the physical realm. In fact, the Holy Spirit is here on the earth. Jesus said, "It's better if I leave." Remember, he told his disciples that, and I think it was 6, John 16:9, but he said, "It was better if I leave," or it's to your advantage if I go, because if I don't go, then the Helper will not come. But if I leave, I will send him to you. I may have just chopped that all up, but it's real similar to that. Jesus was telling his disciples, hey, it's better if I go. And that's kind of hard to wrap your mind around, but Jesus has gone and he's seated at the right hand of the Father, but the Holy Spirit is here with us. And so he is here on this physical earth, but he is a spirit, and I believe we communicate him, with him best when we read the word, or he communicates better, way to say it, he communicates better with us as we read the word, and he brings things to light in our mind and what's going on in our world. And the Holy Spirit, and that's why I'm gonna jump up and down again, we need to get in the word of God. The word is so powerful, and it is so necessary that the whole reason I started this podcast is because there's so much doubt and so much fear, so much unbelief, so much division, so much anger and strife, envy, you name it, all the works of the flesh, they're all out there and they are all the way on. And we need to take part of this back. In fact, we need to take it all back. But the only way to do that is through the word of God and it's through the spirit of, God, the Holy Spirit. We are not going to get anything accomplished shaking our fist at the devil and screaming. I know I say all the time, and I've got a t-shirt that says Satan is a punk, and I— but the truth has signed that. And until we fall in line with the truth, then all we are is shaking our fist at evil. But if we're going to take on evil, which I think we need to do, we need to start getting into this word, and we need to start making it a part of our life. And so I want to give you a quick announcement. I'm excited about this. I've, I've kind of hinted on it in different episodes, but I am going to start a Bible study, online Bible study, and I'm going to pull it off of the social media platform. So it's going to be a private membership site, and I'm going to start— it's going to be a 30-day challenge. I think I'm going to start it, and I kind of, because my sense of humor, I want to start it on April Fool's Day. Because the fool says in his heart, there is no God. So in honor of all the fools out there that don't care whether we have a Bible study or not, you and I, as iron sharpens iron, we're gonna get in there and we're gonna dig into the word of God and we're gonna go in deeper. There's no way in 10 minutes that I can get across concepts, these spiritual concepts that take, that's taking me years to develop. But the Bible study is gonna be, I think the way it's gonna, this way we're gonna do it is it's gonna be like a 30-minute Bible study, kind of like Monday. We're gonna have a little class and then there's gonna be a little bit of just very little and it's gonna be very user-friendly and very time appreciative. We're not gonna spend a lot of time. You know, you can go and spend as much time as you want after, but there's not gonna be a lot of required work. We're gonna— I've got it set up and, and you're gonna like it. If you like studying the Bible, I think you're going to be a— you're going to like being a part of this group. And I want to encourage you to check it out. I'll have, I'll have some stuff up on the website really quick, uh, probably in the next week or so. I'm still putting everything together, but I just wanted to throw that out there. That's my little public service announcement. I'm, I'm excited. In fact, If I could do that for a living, I think I would just be a full-time Bible study teacher. So there you have it, I just come out of the closet. I am a Jesus fanatic. I, I want to try to tie this seed and all of this together. We had the physical realm, we had the spiritual realm, and the two of those— we are walking in the physical realm, we're walking here on earth with our body, but our body is fighting our spirit man. And the fight is over the soul. If you recall, the mind, will, and emotion— that's your soul. That's the person inside of your body. And your spirit— you really can't feel your spirit. You, you almost gotta— I think the Apostle Paul talks about where you look at the mirror, and it may be James, where the, the person that— as you read the Bible, that it's like a mirror and you You read it, and I think that is James. Yes, it's James, and since I brought it up, I figured I'd better go ahead and read it since this is a Bible study. It's about being a doer of the word and not a hearer only. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. Be, but be doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror. For he observes himself, goes away, and im— immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. And I think that scripture, and I think that's kind of God doing for me what I couldn't do for myself because I've prayed about how I'm going to tie all this together. And I think that is a, that is a wonderful scripture to tie all of this seed and all of the, the seed time and harvest and all of the physical realm and the spirit realm. We need to plant this word inside our soul and we need to let it grow and we need to, we need to not forget what kind of person we are. We have got to know that this is a battle, and we've got to know that there's flesh and there's spirit. And if you continue to just use as your only filter what you see, what you taste, what you touch— if you use your 5 senses as your filter and everything you do is just based on those 5 senses, then you're going to pull your soul, your, your soul, your mind, will, and emotion into the physical realm. And I just personally just believe that's where Satan just kicks the snot out of us, is he pulls us into this physical realm and then we have to forget, be forgetful. We're just a hearer then, we're not a doer of the word. We are just, all we're doing is hearing it and then we're letting our 5 senses pull us back into the physical realm. But to be a doer of the word, it's gonna take a little bit of effort, it's gonna take a little bit of time to read that word, plant that word into your heart, and start pulling your mind, will, and emotion over into the spirit realm. And in the spirit realm, that's where, that's where God is, that's where the Holy Spirit is, that's where all the power is. And I've talked about that before, but what I want to do is I want to start this Bible study and I just want to dig in. And it is just going to take some time, and we're not going to get— we're not going to get there in a week, and we're not going to get there in 2 weeks. It's gonna take time, and I just wanted to start something, one, that I enjoy doing. I just enjoy being around Christian people, but I don't much care for— I don't hate social media, but I, you know, it's just to me, it's just a huge time suck, and I just can't— I mean, I just can't give myself that much time just to be in there. So I would— I want to invite you. This is my invitation. I really wasn't planning on talking about it this much, But this is my invitation to you to check it out. You can go— I'll have something posted on the website at nodoubtonlybelieve.com. It'll probably be in the tool area. This is, I think, going to be a really, uh, this is going to be a really powerful tool for you and I to where iron sharpens iron, to where we can get involved and, and get to know each other and open up the word and just dig in and encourage, inspire, and empower. Lock arms and let's kick the crap out of Satan. I am so sick of him that I can't even talk about him. He's just, he's a punk and he needs to be defeated. He has not been banished, but the way God wants us to do it, he told Jesus, "Have a seat at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool." And he has already— Jesus has already defeated Satan. Now it's our turn to let the Word of God and our actions and our words defeat him in our lives. Well, with all that said, I think I'm going to sign off on episode 39, and I'm going to put a period to the power of the seed. We're going to pick it up in our, um, membership site. But I just want to thank you if you've become a part of this. Podcast. I want to thank you for being a part of it, and I thank you for the reviews, and I thank you for the subscriptions. All of that stuff, it's encouraging. And some of the words and some of the comments on Facebook, I really want to thank you for being a part of this journey with me. And let's go kick the snot out of Satan. Let's, let's start planting the word of God, the incorruptible seed, and let's let it start growing and bearing fruit in our lives. Well, that's enough, and I will see you on the next episode.
