Greg Ryan argues God needs active service more than passive church attendance, citing 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 to show He chooses the weak and foolish to accomplish His purposes. He urges listeners to pursue their calling through daily Scripture study and practical faith.

Greg Ryan here with No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe podcast host. But I'm hitting a video. I figured, you know, what the heck, I was out here in my backyard and I just wanted to give you a quick encouragement. You know, God doesn't need any more butts in the pews. I think he needs more hands and feet in the street. And so I just want to encourage you to get out there and get after it. You know, God can use whoever. He's using me. And I want to encourage you to go to 1 Corinthians 1:26-29. And you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called, but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of this world to put to shame the things that are mighty, and the base things and the things that are despised God has chosen. And the things that are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in his presence. You and I are not going to glory in God's presence. You and I are not going to build our own kingdom and be very successful. What I want to do is help encourage you to help build God's kingdom, and I want to use the gift that God has given me, the gift of teaching, to help encourage you, empower, and inspire you to be your best in Christ. And it starts with just getting in the Word of God. And that's what I do every day on the podcast, is I just take something out of the Word of God and I just encourage you to just dig in and get some of the bread of life for yourself. Well, that's enough. I just wanted to kind of check out the new— I got a handy-dandy new tool here for following me around, and I just want to see how that worked. And I just wanted to get out there and talk to you. I take— I just want to say thank you for being a part of my life, and I want to encourage you to get after it.
