Endued with power find out the scripture that changed my Christian walk forever.

Greg Ryan shares how John 14:12 transformed his faith. Jesus promised believers can do the works He did and greater ones because He went to the Father. Ryan urges listeners to study Scripture deeply, pray persistently, and seek the Holy Spirit's power to overcome doubt and live out that promise.
Welcome to episode 188.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Spending time in the Word of God is the best way to spend time with God. Welcome to No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe podcast, where we will encourage, inspire, and empower you to live your best life in Christ. Here's Greg.
Welcome to episode 188. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Well, I am going to continue on the Endued with Power. This might be my last episode on this particular teaching because I need to move to a different spot on the mountain. I know you're probably getting tired of it, but I want to give you one more scripture and one that changed— I'm telling you, this one scripture changed how I read the Bible. It brought everything else into a forefront. And I know that's probably overdramatic, but this one scripture, when I read it, I read it and I reread it. And this is where I learned to meditate on a scripture, because I went over and over and over this scripture. I read it every day, multiple times a day, and I was trying to figure out, God, what are you saying with this scripture?. And without further ado, John 14:12, Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. That, my friend, is an incredible scripture. And I read that, I reread it because I couldn't believe it the first few times I read it. Because if you just read that, and I'm going to read it again, most assuredly I say to you, Jesus is talking to you. He's not talking to me, he's talking to you. If you are a believer of Jesus, I need you to listen to what he says to you. Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these He will do because I go to my Father. Now, no one can argue that Jesus is still here. Jesus ascended. He went and he's with his Father. He's seated at his right hand. So Jesus has fulfilled this scripture in everything. Remember we said the most powerful 3 words? It is finished. This scripture was fulfilled when Jesus died on the cross, he ascended later on after he was resurrected, and he went away. And we see— pick that up in Acts and the end of Luke where he ascends. He has gone to his Father, Jesus. And so he's telling you, if you believe in me, the works that I do you will do also, and greater works than these you will do because I go to my Father. And when you start taking personal ownership of that verse, I'm telling you, it will change your life. Because this verse right here tells me anything you see Jesus do, you can do. And if you don't believe me, let's read it one more time. I say to you, he who believes in me The works that I do, he will do also. And greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. That is incredible. And I'm telling you, you can piecemeal this thing however you want, and you can package it up, and you can kind of say, no, he really wasn't saying that, but no, he wasn't. I'm telling you, if you see Jesus do it, You can do it. You have got the exact same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead living on the inside of you. And if you are endued with power, you have the same power, and you don't need more faith. The problem we have is our unbelief. We are inundated with unbelief. If you listen to music, if If you listen to the radio, if you watch TV, if you look at how things are going, if you pick up the news and see all the negativity, you are inundated with fear and unbelief, and it negates the Word of God. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. And I'm telling you, don't believe me, but believe the Word of God. I'm telling you to ask the Holy Spirit. You have a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit, The Holy Spirit is right there where two or more are gathered. He is right there. You and I are gathered together. You're listening to my voice. I'm talking directly to you, and the Holy Spirit is there among— we are talking about the Bible, so we are together, and the Holy Spirit is right there. Ask the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, is that true? Can I do everything that Jesus did? Jesus gave us that pattern. I saw that pattern early. I couldn't hardly believe it. I'm telling you, you go from being a follower to a believer, and it's a difficult step. And we're going to go to Matthew again. It's one that I quote all the time. By the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Jesus' words. He didn't say this was going to be easy, and he didn't say that it was just all going to be given to you on a silver platter. You have got to dig into this word. You've got to dig into God. You need to seek him. And let's go to a famous scripture— maybe famous, it should be famous— Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the thoughts that I have toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all of your heart. You dig into this word, you start seeking God, you ask and keep asking, you knock and keep knocking, you seek and keep seeking, you just dig into this, you get into that, and you sell everything you got, you go all in to this word of God, this pearl of great value where you sell everything else and you just dig into this pearl. Yeah, it's a little fanatical, but you've been here on this journey for a long time if you're a multiple listener to these episodes, you know that it requires effort. You know that it requires a part of you. And God don't want just part of you, God wants all of you. When you seek me, You will find me when you search for me with all your heart. God don't want just part of it. God don't want just the clean part. God wants the whole part. He wants every part of you. God loves you. God is not mad at you. God is wanting you to take the first step, and he wants you to seek him. And I don't want to make any excuses. I don't want anybody to say Well, you know, I— no, the power of God is on the inside of us. The fear of man— and why do we fear man? It is a snare. It's because we're worried about what somebody might think. We're worried that we're going to look fanatical. And I'm telling you, I do. I look fanatical all the time. I try to be relatable. I'm telling you, I try not to be hair-on-fire fanatic, but if somebody tells me they need prayer, I'm gonna pray for them. I'm not gonna say, hey brother, I'll pray and write it down. If you and I are on the phone together, we're gonna pray. If you see me on the street and you say, brother, I need somebody, I need a— I need you to pray, we're gonna pray. Now I'm not gonna make a big scene and I'm not gonna scream and holler, but we can kind of go off to the side or whatever. But if you say we're going to pray, we're going to pray. We're going to speak out loud because faith is voice activated. Death and life's in the power of the tongue. And I see that Centurion that says all you got to do is speak the word and it'll be done. And I start commanding these things to start happening. And do I do it 100%? Heck no, I'm not even close. I don't even think— I mean, I've got a failing grade I can't even honestly tell you that it's 50%, but I'm telling you, I continue to do this. I continue to seek after God. I'm praying for this Holy Spirit outpouring, this latter rain. I am praying, and I hope that you'll start praying and you start seeking God and you start getting into his word, because I just believe that our time is limited here on earth, that we are one day closer to Jesus' return than we were yesterday. And that it is gonna happen. And if you can't look at the world and see that it's going to hell in a handcart, then I don't know what you're looking at. Because I don't even watch a lot of news, and I see all this mess going on. If you're watching the news daily, or at least 3 or 4 times a week, or you're listening to stuff on the radio, you've got to know that it's not getting better. You've got to know that we're in the latter days, we're in the last days, and that Jesus is soon coming, but he did tell us to occupy until he returns. So we are supposed to be kicking the crap out of Satan. We're not supposed to be rolling over and saying, "Oh no, we're worms. We're just, we're sinners saved by grace. Oh, I can't do anything. I'm this lonely sinner. I can't do." No, I am a saint of God. I am more than conqueror, and Satan is a punk. He is a liar. And what he does is he deceives and he twists and he tries to take the word of God and make it of no effect. Satan is a lying, deceiving punk, and you don't need to listen to him. You need to get into this word. You don't even need to listen to me. My only place is to motivate you, to get you fired up to get into this word of God and to talk to the Holy Spirit who is right there with you all the time, 24/7, 365. He's never gonna leave you nor forsake you. He's there all the time, whether you acknowledge him or don't acknowledge him, the Holy Spirit is there. And so I'm just gonna, I'm here only to encourage, empower, and inspire you to dig into this word and to dig into this God kingdom and to start building the kingdom of God so that when he returns with rewards in his hand, he'll have a little nugget to give you. And that's all I'm talking about. I'm not talking about having this huge big old crown that we can't even hardly hold our head up because it's so big, it's got so many gems or jewels. I just want a couple of little, little bitty old gems just to throw on my crown. In all honesty, I would love when we're in heaven to see your crown just full of gems and jewels, and you go back and say, Greg, I just got to say thank you for having that podcast. I want to thank you for getting me into this word. And if I— if it wasn't for that podcast, or if it wasn't for you firing me up and getting me into the word of God, I may not have had these 4 or 5 jewels or these gems, and the kingdom of God may not have grown, or I may not have had as much influence in my world without that. And that's why I'm doing— I'm not do— I'm doing it to build God's kingdom, but I'm doing it to help you build God's kingdom, because you are the hero of this story. It's not me. I'm digging around on my— in my little world, but you're digging around in your little world. And if there's enough of us getting after it in Jesus' name, we can succeed and we can kick the gates of hell down I am told that only 3% of America, the colonial Americans, entered into the Revolutionary War. 3%. And let's just say it's 9%, it's less than 10%, entered into the battle. 97 to 90% of the people did not get involved. In fact, a lot of them hindered the effort of the American Revolution And we are here today because of a small percentage. And when we get to heaven, I think it's going to be the same thing. There's very few people that have ever witnessed or ever led anybody to Christ. And I'm just here to tell you, what if you just got one? What if you just are supposed to witness to one person and then you help that person discover Jesus? All heaven is going to sing all glory, and eternity will be changed for that one person forever. And I just want to encourage you, get in the word of God. I know it's a soapbox moment. I know this whole episode was a soapbox moment, but John 14:12, if you'll get on that scripture, will change your life. I'm telling you, that's the scripture I read when I declared that I was going to walk on water. If you want to know How this fanatic was born, it was John 14:12. That is an incredible scripture. If it changed me, it's going to change you. So be careful with it, play nice with it, but I want to encourage you to get into that scripture and you just start digging on that scripture and start meditating on that and see what the Holy Spirit tells you. God, I thank you so much for everything that you've done in my life. I thank you that if this listener is still listening, Lord, I haven't run them off, I pray in Jesus' name that you would just encourage, empower, and inspire them to get in your word. And God, that you have given this enduement with power, that you have— the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a real event and it's for every believer. It is a free gift from God and you are just waiting for— to hand this gift. And what a wonderful gift. Holy Spirit, You are so wonderful. You are so kind. You are so gentle. I love you, and I pray in Jesus' name that the listener will start digging in and will start actively try— if they have not been baptized in the Holy Spirit, I pray that they would start looking into it and would start having a desire to see if there really is this baptism. Lord, we thank you. We love you. We ask it all in Jesus' name. Amen. Well, thank you for being a part of this, and I look forward to visiting with you on the next episode.
