How to Grow Your faith Youtube Bible Study

Jesus told the disciples faith grows like a mustard seed. Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing God's word, so you grow it through regular Bible reading and applying Scripture like physical laws. The enemy of faith is unbelief, which brings fear and discord.

Alright guys, I want to come in. I told you I was going to be a little late again tonight. I'm trying to move my phone around to figure all this stuff out. They've changed everything up, so it's going to be a little different in the next couple days, but I want to continue with our faith. An unbelief lesson where the disciples said, you know, we need— Jesus, give us more faith. I think that was in Matthew 17, but, you know, we need more faith. And Jesus said, you know, if you had the faith of a mustard seed, you know, you could say to the mulberry tree or the mountain, be thou removed. But I want to go to see what Paul says in Romans 12:3. He said, I say through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one. And in my New King James it says, a measure of faith, but in the King James it says, the measure of faith. And I like the measure a little better, but I read the New King James all the time. So I just want y'all to think about that each one of us, when we accept Christ, have been given, the New King James says a measure, but the King James says the measure. And the reason that's different is if you say the measure, then everybody gets the same amount of faith. The is, to me it says it's the same. So you got a scoop or you got a mustard seed or you got, but it's all the same. So I like the measure of faith. It really doesn't matter, you're given faith. And then in Romans 10:17, it says, now, so then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So you can build your faith. And then when you— and I want to go to Mark real quick. I want to go to Mark 4:30. Then he said, to what shall we liken the kingdom of God, or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed, which when it is sown on the ground is smaller than all the seeds on the earth, but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all the herbs and shoots out large branches so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade. So in Peter, in 1 Peter, I think, I think it's 1 Peter 2, we looked that up this morning, but I didn't write it down, but it calls the word of God the incorruptible seed. We're not saved by corruptible seed, but by the incorruptible seed, which is the word of God. So we are saved by the seed. We're given that measure of faith, but the thing that we fight, and I believe all of us fight this battle, is unbelief. We all have the measure of faith and we need to grow our faith, but if we had the same faith that Christ had, and we can, we do have it, but if we had no unbelief, then we would do the same things he did. I mean, we would see the exact same miracles Christ saw. We would see that Jesus, when he, We'd walk on water. In fact, I've got a story about that. But anyway, we would have the same thing, and we would believe this Bible. And I wanted to— our walk, our Christian walk, is building up our faith and destroying or eliminating our unbelief. And we've got an enemy, the punk. I mean, he brings fear, he brings, you know, discord, he brings all kinds of crap to the game. But I mean, so you're going to have a battle. You're going to be fighting all of this. And you know, you got that voice saying, that's crazy, you can't believe that. So I just want to, I just want to challenge you, encourage you that the faith come by— faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. Dig in. That's why I always say, you know, get in this Bible, because this is where the power and the strength is. When you start reading the Bible and you start building up your faith, you know, natural faith gets bigger, unbelief gets smaller. But you got to work at it. I mean, it's like working out. You got to continue to work it and apply it to your life. So I want to stop there. We're going to talk about unbelief more. I mean, I think that it's a topic most people don't talk about. Jesus told his disciples, he just flat out says, because, you know, they asked him, why couldn't we cast out that demon? And he said, It's because of your unbelief. So when you have the natural thought or the natural request to God would be, God, give me some more faith. I need more faith. No, you need to grow. I believe you need to grow the faith you have and destroy or eliminate the unbelief that comes from the enemy and comes from life. I mean, you see things. We're looking at a spirit realm, the Bible, you know, God, Anybody that worships him, God is a spirit and them that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. I mean, we're dealing with spiritual laws and spiritual truths in a physical world, in the physical realm. So the whole thing, all of this Christian walk and all this faith is trying to figure out how to take these spiritual truths and apply them to this physical world. And that's kind of what, I mean, we're going to talk about that. I mean, I'm confident I probably won't be able to just nail it down for you because if 'Cause if I did, then we'd all have it figured out. But I mean, I'm gonna just, as you read and you listen and you study, kind of get, kind of just let that marinate a little bit, let that dig around, just that you don't need more faith. You've got the measure of faith. You need to grow that faith by getting in the Word. And we need to get after our unbelief. We need to eliminate it, destroy it, come against it. That comes when you start seeing things happen with your faith and you start having victories and you're getting prayers answered and that type of thing. It just naturally, your unbelief goes away because it just happened. That's enough for today. I do appreciate it. I'm trying to figure out all this camera angle stuff, so I apologize that I'm a little janked up, but I mean, it'll get better before it gets worse. But thanks again for stopping by, and I do appreciate y'all stopping in. And leave any comments, you have any questions or anything, I read all of them. And I look forward to seeing and talking to you again tomorrow.
