My Apology, Confession, and 5 Scriptures That Changed My Life

Greg Ryan shares six scriptures that changed his spiritual life: John 14:12, Romans 12:1, 2 Timothy 1:7, Romans 8:1, John 16:7, and Revelation 12:11. He confesses his scattered approach to running multiple businesses and ministries, explains his shift toward YouTube for better listener connection, and urges people to memorize and meditate on these verses for spiritual warfare.

Welcome to episode 300. We're gonna do things a little bit different in this episode. We are 300 strong, and I wanna encourage, empower, and inspire you to just stay in the word of God. You're gonna get 3 things on this episode. You're gonna get a confession from me. You're gonna hear what I believe God wants you to hear from me as one of the kings in his kingdom. And you're gonna hear 5 scriptures that have changed my life. If you stick with me to the end, you're gonna hear all 5 of them. I'm going to put them up on the screen. But let's get started. In this episode, I want to change things up. I know that if you're a frequent flyer, you're used to hearing the intro guy. I'm going to put the intro guy on the bench for a little bit because I just think we've all heard him enough. And nothing against him, and that is a great scripture, but I want to concentrate on YouTube and the YouTube channel. And I think we just need to get right into what I need to talk about each video. And in this video, the confession that I want to make is I am very slow at the draw. I am a ready, fire, aim. I will jump in and I will get wet and I will start to drown sometimes, but I am slow to change. And obviously it's taken me 300 episodes to make this change with the intro guy, but I also wish that I would have started on YouTube. And I want to thank God for my ability to listen to other people. And my son told me, Dad, you ought to be on video. I've just made some adjustments. Now, video's a lot harder than audio, and it's taken me a minute to get all this together. And I just want to thank you if you're a part of this. I want you to hit the like button or to comment. The reason that I want to concentrate on YouTube is I can have a communication with you. I can talk to you, you can talk to me, we can comment back and forth. You can tell me, hey, I like that, or I didn't really care for that, or I had a question about this. Can't do that on just a straight podcast on iTunes or on Podcast Addict or whatever the other places that you list— Spotify. You really can't use the comment section, or I haven't figured out how to do that. And so I want to go into YouTube. I'm starting to jump into Paul said, this one thing that I do, I am so scattered. I have got a real estate business. I have got a website business. I have got a Christian clothing line business. I've got a Christian teaching business. I have a family. I am a father of four. I've got grandkids. I've got elderly in-laws and elderly parents that need my help or need me to be around. I am scattered just like you probably are. You probably don't have as many businesses going on as I do, but you've got issues in life. And I just want to encourage you that God knows right where you are. I want to remind you that if God had a refrigerator in heaven, your picture would be all over it. You are God's favorite. God wants me to tell you that he is not mad at you. He's never been mad at you. And that Satan is a punk. He is the enemy of God. He hates everything that God has made, and God has made you in his image. You are his image bearer, and God wants you to know that he loves you. He loves you with everything that he has. He loves you so much that he sent his Son to die for you. And God loved you that much. Jesus loves you as well. Jesus came and lived a perfect life, and he died a perfect death so that he could be raised on the third day, so that you and I will never have to die again. If we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will never have to see that second death. And we're going to talk about that in the next episode. But this is the confession episode. This is where I'm going to make some changes. This is where it's taken me a long time to get to. It's taken me 300 episodes to get here. And I want to help you. If you are a believer of Jesus, the one thing that I'm gonna do, and I've been doing for multiple years, is getting in the word of God and allowing the word of God to get into me. And I want to help you to do that. That's the one thing that I think God has called me to do, is to push you back to the word of God. I don't know that you've ever been out of the word of God. But if you're not taking the Word of God seriously, I've got to tell you from past experience that the only way to fight evil in your life is by using the Word of God. It's the Bible. If you look at how Jesus fought Satan in the wilderness, he said, it is written. Now I understand that Jesus is the Word and Jesus was the Word. I know that it's awfully complicated sometimes to figure all this out. But we need to use the Word of God to fight the punk. And the punk hates you and I. He hates everything about this place. He wants all of us to go to hell where he's going to go. He is a punk. We hate him. And that's enough about him. But God wants me to tell you that he's not mad at you. I want to remind you also that we have a limited time here on earth. And I've said from the beginning, I'm not here to set a date when Jesus is going to return. I'm not even sure how he's going to do it. Is it going to be a pre-trib rapture? Is it going to be a mid-trib rapture? Is it going to be a post-trib rapture? I don't know. I don't care. I'm going to make the first load. I have been looking for Jesus' return, and I want to encourage you to just keep looking because he is one day closer today to returning than he was yesterday. I know that there is a time that Father God is going to say, go get them, and that is going to be one specific day out there in the future. It may be tomorrow. I make jokes all the time saying, I don't know why I didn't come last Thursday. He missed a great opportunity. But God knows when he's coming back, and we need to occupy until he returns. We don't need to just roll over and just pray, oh God, I sure hope I can get out of here. Now, we're not trying to escape this life, but we are looking forward to the next life. We call it the afterlife. You can call it whatever you want, but there is another kingdom that you and I are a part of if you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You are not of this world, and I am not of this world, but I am still in this world, and I want to encourage, empower, and inspire you. And to do that, I have to tell you about these Bible verses that have changed my life. And I want to encourage you as you read your Bible, when God just stops me and it makes me think, and I believe that's the Holy Spirit because he wrote every word. He used someone else's hand to pen it, but the Holy Spirit is the author of the Bible, and that is why it flows. That's why there's not any mistakes. That's why I believe this is the word of God, and that's why I believe that I can use this to fight the enemy.. And with God's help, with Jesus' help, with the Holy Spirit's help, you can do it too. And the 5 scriptures— I'm going to give you a bonus scripture because Revelation 12:11, if you're a fanatic and have been here for multiple episodes, you know that that's my favorite scripture. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. That's in Revelation 12 where he's talking about the punk, where God threw the punk out of heaven, and he's coming down here, and he's probably already here and mad. We don't care because we have 3 things that overcome him: the blood of the Lamb— Jesus has already died for us— the word of our testimony— we already have that, we already know what our testimony is, we got to get better at giving it so we can undermine what Satan is doing in the lives of your friends and family and people that you come in contact with— and we do not love our lives to the death. That's a sacrificial lifestyle, and I know that you've probably done that for your family. If you're thinking about faith, family, and freedom, if you can picture those three things— it's faith, it's family, and it's freedom. I'm so sick of all the bickering and all the infighting that we're doing as a nation. That is the punk trying to put his spin on it. He is a divider from the beginning. He hates us. We just need to understand that we're in a fight, and this is a fight to the death. We're not promised tomorrow, so let's make the most of today. Now let's get into the 5 scriptures. Now I promise you that if you stayed to the end that you would hear these 5 scriptures, and I'm going to give them one after the other after the other, and I'm gonna have a little handout of the 5 scriptures that changed my life, and I'm gonna have Revelation 12:11, so I'm gonna have a bonus scripture. There's actually going to be 6. It's these encouraged me, I'm pretty sure they're going to encourage you. And let's start with John 14:12. Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do because I go to my Father. We love that scripture. You've heard that multiple times if you've been on these episodes with me, and if you've walked this journey with me, you know that John 14:12 is a very, very powerful scripture in my life. You are going to be very familiar with this this scripture. If you are a frequent flyer to this podcast, it's Romans 12:1, and this is the Apostle Paul: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Now I could keep going into Romans 12:2, but I didn't— I didn't want to add that one because that's going to come up in another episode. The next Bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:7. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Romans 8:1, there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. And the last verse that I want to share with you today is John 16:7. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I depart, I will send him to you. Now I just want to give you those 5 scriptures because I think that if you'll print those out and if you'll just read them and if you'll just meditate on those and that— just dig those around— those 5 scriptures, 6 actually, but those scriptures had a huge hand in changing my walk. Now there are multiple scriptures that I could have put down But these 6 scriptures represent a huge shift in my thinking. These scriptures help me become the person that I am. And I want to ask a quick favor of you before I close in prayer. If you have not given us a review on iTunes or wherever it is that you listen to the podcast, or if you haven't subscribed to our YouTube channel, I want to encourage you to go subscribe. Go help us find other believers like you and I that are fanatics, that just want to get into the Word of God and allow the Word of God to get into us. This is episode 300. I'm making some changes. There's going to be some noticeable differences in my podcast, but we're still going to get into the Word of God. We're still going to get after this thing. We're not going to continue to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. Look, I want to thank you. Let's pray real quick. God, I thank you so much. For this listener. I want to thank you for your Holy Spirit. I want to thank you, God, for your word, and Jesus for coming and being the word in flesh. God, we don't understand it all, but the more we dig in and the more you allow us to get the wisdom and knowledge, Lord, the more that we can appreciate and love you. Lord, we thank you, we love you, we ask it all in Jesus' name. Amen. Well, thank you for being a part of this, and I look forward to visiting with you in the next episode.
