No Doubt No Fear Only Believe reaches 100 episodes

Greg Ryan marks 100 episodes of his podcast, which started as a 30-day challenge fueled by the word "relentless." He examines three biblical moments where Jesus and Peter changed reality with just a few words: "Peace, be still" calmed a storm, "Lazarus, come forth" raised the dead, and "Come" let Peter walk on water.
Welcome to episode 100, and I've decided to switch it up a little bit.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Spending time in the Word of God is the best way to spend time with God. Welcome to No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe podcast, where we will encourage, inspire, and empower you to live your best life in Christ. Here's Greg.
Welcome to episode 100. I am fired up to be here with you. It has been a long journey. It's been about 4 months, I think, and I've gotten 100 episodes after this one under my belt. I'm gonna go in real quick, kind of a reflection, if you will. I want to really kind of want to keep it on the same theme as the unbelief and the power of your words and humbling yourself. All of those things. I'm gonna do a quick recap of what I believe the first 99 episodes meant and what we're gonna do going forward. Well, thank you. If this is your first time being here, I want to thank you for being a part of this. And if you are a frequent flyer, welcome back, you fanatic. I want to remind you that this podcast began as a challenge, and it started on episode 1. I was going to do 30 straight episodes And I put my head down and I came up with a word at the beginning of the year, and the word was relentless. And I believe I've done my best to just be relentless. And it's amazing. I just want to talk about for a minute the power that's in one word and just the thing, the energy that I've gotten from that. And looking back, I've done Made Up My Mind, the power of a made-up mind. I mean, all of those things that I've done But it started with that one word, and it started with a challenge. And I was challenged to either blog for 30 straight days or do Facebook Live or YouTube Live for 30 straight days, or podcast. And obviously I chose to podcast. But you know, when you start anything, you got— you have no idea what you're getting into. And, and that is why— and I think God has given me that ready, fire, aim mentality. I don't get tied up a lot in the details. I just jump in and then I end up in a mess normally. But I really believe that this is God-inspired. I really enjoy this. This is giving me energy. It gives me a reason to get up every day and talk to you. And I want to thank you first off for being here. I was going to do the first 30 without anybody. I'm just gonna like John the Baptist. I was going to be out in the wilderness just shouting to cactus and in little tumbling sage bushes or whatever you even call that out there in the wilderness, eating locusts and honey. I just didn't care for the first 30 days. But after that, you know, it was nice to see comments. It was nice to see— it was nice to talk to you, some of y'all. And I— it was nice to see reviews, all of that stuff. And I'm not gonna lie to you, I mean, it, it kind of bolsters me up when I hear positive things. And some of you have had suggestions on how I could improve it, and any, any suggestions are welcome. Some, some of y'all may want me to just to shut up and go do something else. And I think the easiest— if that is you, if you want me to just be quiet— I think the easiest way to get that done is just turn this thing off, don't subscribe, and don't come back. Because I have kind of like a dog on a bone. I mean, I am on this thing. I am going to see where God is taking me. You never know what God's got in store. And I'm— I went back to episode 50 to kind of see were the first 50 before I did episode 100. And I listened to episode 50 and I made some promises or some declarations about starting a YouTube channel. And I'm here to tell you that I haven't done that yet. And sometimes my alligator mouth will override my little hummingbird butt. For the sake of just explaining why I haven't got to that yet, I have just been inundated with multiple options. But that's not why I'm here today. I'm not here to tell you all the things going on in my pea brain. I'm here to give you some of the the word of God. But before I do that, I want to give you a Mark— and I give Mark Twain the credit for this quote, but I'm not sure he did it or didn't. I'm not sure he said it or didn't say it, but I'm going to give him credit for it here. And it's in the theme of the relentless and that one word. Mark Twain said, 'I'm sorry this letter is so long. I would have made it shorter, but I didn't have the time.' And there is some profound wisdom in that. And I know that's not the word of God, But there is a lot of wisdom in that. And if you've ever just ran— you've heard me ramble on and keep talking, but if you can make it concise— and that's why I kind of want to keep this in 10-minute increments, to force me to get one thought and try to just continue to stay on that one thought the whole time. And I got to tell you, it keeps me focused. And I heard a wonderful definition of focus. It's more of an acronym. Gotta give credit to John Lee Dumas for saying this, and it's, "Follow one course until success." And I think that's an excellent way to think about being focused, is just continue on one thing, be relentless until you have success. And I wanna just show you how powerful the word of God is, and I'm gonna take you first and just show you three words, and it's in Mark 4:7. 39. Then he arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, 'Peace, be still.' And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 3 words: 'Peace, be still.' The disciples thought they were dying. He's asleep in the boat. They had to wake him up. And Jesus got up, and then he gets on to them. And I've talked multiple episodes about how Jesus gets on to his disciples, and he's like, 'What are you so afraid of?' It is incredible. I love Jesus. And now the next one, I want to take you to John 11:43. Now when he had said these things, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth! Did you notice how I hit you with my deep God voice? I thought that was pretty cool. 3 words and Jesus raised the dead. That is incredible. That is powerful. How powerful is the word of God? And the last one, we're going to use one word, one word. We're going to find that one word in Matthew 11, and I'm going to start in 28. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water. So he said, come. And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. Now, those of you that have been with me know that this story is near and dear to my heart because I have declared that I'm going to walk on water. And I'm still trying to do it. So I told you I was a fanatic, and I told you that I read John 14:12, and it said, 'Assuredly I say to you, all these works that I do you will do, and greater works will you do because I go to my Father.' Well, Jesus has gone to his Father, so I just challenged myself and dug around in the Bible to find a work that Jesus did while he was here on earth in his physical body And so I challenged myself, well, doggone, why don't I walk on— Jesus walked on water. Peter walked— Peter wasn't even saved and he walked on water. So that is my mindset with one word, four letters. Peter walked on water. Come. And I want you to think about how powerful the word of God is. And that is why I jump up and down and why I use that Mark Twain quote, 3 words. 2, 2 of the prayers were 3 words, and one answer was one word, and things happened. Miracles happened. We don't have to have this huge giant faith, and we don't have to fill the world with a bunch of words. We just have to have faith in the Word of God and use it the way God has intended us to use it. Now, I do want to point out that I left out a couple of scriptures, and one that just came to my mind was found in Genesis 1, where God said, "Let there be light." And I kept that one out because, you know, that is 4 words. We're gonna— if we're gonna shorten things up, he probably could have said, "Light come," or something like that. But, you know, that was the first time, that was his first start, and so he may have been warming up, and he may not have had enough time. And of course, I am saying that tongue-in-cheek because I am amazed at the word of God. When God spoke the word, he saw it. He said it and then he saw it. Genesis 1 is one of my favorite stories, and it shows us how we get things done here on earth. If we will just speak with faith, we will see it happen. And that is why in the next episode, on episode 101, I'm going to continue with the faith and hope. I think we're going to try to conclude on the unbelief. There's still a whole lot more to, to dig out, but I think you get the picture. We have more unbelief than we want to admit, and we are giving this world and Satan too much space between our ears, and we need to stop it. And I'm talking to me too, and I have cut off a lot of the news. I, I don't watch a lot of TV anymore. I do check my phone, and I'll look at, you know, sometimes I'll look at some stories on YouTube and some thing— people that I follow, and I'll, you know, I'll get down in a rabbit hole and I'll spend 20 minutes and I'm like, what just happened? So I don't know if anybody's like that, but it's crazy how this world will just drag you into a hole and keep you there as long as you can. I know that Facebook and the YouTubes and Instagram, they're all set up so that they just keep feeding you the next one and the next one and the next one, and they're really good at what they do. But I'm not going to start talking about that. That's for the next episode. I just want to tell you thank you if you've been here. This is 100. I mean, it's exciting. I think I'm going to do, you know, every 100th episode I'm going to go back and recap. But I, I think that we've covered a lot of ground. God has changed me from the time I've started to today. And I want to remind you, he is not a respecter of persons. If you will find your word for the year. It's not too late. You don't have to wait till January of 2022. You can grab your word and just get after it, because it doesn't have to be a bunch of words. It can be one or two or three or four, just four things or three words or one word that'll motivate you to take action. Because I believe action is one of the biggest ways to destroy fear in your life. You can't destroy fear by sitting still. You got to be moving. Well, let's pray. God, I thank you so much for where you've taken me in my life. And Lord, the people that are listening to this and the people that you're speaking through using me and your word, Lord, I thank you that lives are being changed and people are being touched. And I pray right now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Holy Spirit, that you would just touch the person listening to this and you would encourage them, you would inspire them, and you would empower them with your word. Lord, give them a hunger for your word. And I thank you, Lord, and we love you, and we ask it all in Jesus' name. Amen. Well, thank you for being a part of this, and I look forward to visiting with you in the next episode.
