No Doubt No Fear Only Believe Will Continue In The Battle Six Days Every Week

Greg Ryan marks 30 episodes of his podcast by shifting from daily to six-per-week episodes, Monday through Saturday, to honor the Sabbath. He emphasizes treating the Bible as spiritual armor against deception and reflects on how God uses his flaws, including the loss of his mother in 2014, to display divine goodness.
Welcome to episode 30. I want to begin like I've begun all the other 29 before this, in the Gospel of John chapter 1, verse 1.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Spending time in the Word of God is the best way to spend time with God. Welcome to No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe podcast, where we will encourage, inspire, and empower you to live your best life in Christ. Here's Greg.
I want to thank you for being a part of it, and if this is your first time to listen, this is a summary of what happened on the other 29 episodes.
At—
in episode 1, I believe I talked about the commitment that I had made, that I— that someone had challenged me to do 30 podcasts in a row. I never thought looking back that it was going to be such a pain in the backside, but in my ready, fire, aim mentality, I said, sure, I'll do that. So here we are on day 30, and I want to encourage you that if you set your goal and if your why is big enough, it don't matter the how. We've got, we've got things going on in our lives just like you've got things going on in your life. But there is power to a made-up mind, and I had made my mind up that I'm gonna do 30 episodes. I just don't care what happens. And here we are on day 30, and one of the things, and I think it was episode 6 or whatever, where I talked about the God calculator, to where God time is different than physical time. And you know, with God, there's a, one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is a day. And so time is going to keep ticking here on earth. God is not captured in time. So God's time is different. I mean, eternity is forever. So there's no such thing as time in eternity. There's no such thing as money. I mean, I know we can't wrap our heads around that. The two things that we're going for down here, we, you know, we need— we want more time and we want— we need more money, or whatever it is you're struggling with. In heaven, there's no such thing as time and money. I don't know if you've ever thought about that, but down here we are stuck in time. Father God is not stuck in time. He sees the end from the beginning. And we've talked about all of that on previous chat— on previous episodes. But I just want to tell you where I am right now. I am fired up. I am encouraged to— that I can do this thing. I can do these podcasts. I think I've got a little bit of an understanding of what I need to do and how I need to do it. I think I'm going to change the programming just a little bit, make some tweaks as I'm going. I, I really just put my head down and did these 30, but I think what I'm gonna do— and you can tell me if it's, if it's okay, you know, with the 4 or 5 of y'all that are listening— but what I think I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put 5 episodes a week out. I'm going to do an episode Monday through Friday, and then we're going to take the weekend off because we, we need rest. And, and I felt a little bit of conviction, you know. We— there's Ten Commandments, and they're not suggestions. These are the Ten Commandments. These were put in stone. And one of the commandments, and I think it's one of the things that I— that the body of Christ just feels like that they can break, for lack of a better word, and it be okay. And that is the Sabbath. And to take a day off is so important. And to do 6— and I'm still praying about whether I'm going to do 5 or if I'm going to do 6, but right now I think I'm going to do 5 episodes. And I, as I'm talking through this microphone, I may do 6 because I think with the Monday through Friday and that weekend mentality, maybe we need to break some of that off of us, that there were 6 days and then the Sabbath. So as I'm talking and as this, as this is, is going through, I hadn't really thought about it or prayed about it, but I think what I'm going to do now that you— and you can just kind of listen how my devious mind or how it's working— I am letting you know I'm going to do 6. I changed my other mind. I'm going to do 6 because that's probably a better standard. And I believe the Jewish people— and I don't know because I haven't really studied it out, but I know the first 6 days they work and they do, they live their life and do their thing. But on the 7th day, they rest. And when it, when it says rest, I mean, they, they shut down. And, and one of the things, if you look at Chick-fil-A and you look at Hobby Lobby and some of the Christian-owned organizations, they, they kind of mirror that too. And so as I'm talking and thinking about this, hadn't really— you can tell I hadn't put a lot of prayer in it, but I knew I was going to make a tweak and a change because I had a little, you know, a little thing in the back of my mind said, you know, you're working 7 days a week and that's not biblical. So for those of you that figured that out, that that 30-day challenge went against the word of God, I want to thank you for not writing in and not cussing me or cursing me or anything like that. This is a work in progress. So where I'm going is, is now I'm going to do 6 podcasts a week, and I'm going to just encourage, inspire, and empower. And I just want to— if I can be in your ear and then to encourage you, look, pick up that Bible. It is a sword It is your only offensive weapon when you start fighting against the punk, that you have to have some of it in you. You got to have some of it on you. You got to put your armor on. We got— you got to get ready. Life is not a game. This is not the game of life. Life is a battle. And if you look at how Satan fights now, he uses people and our— it says we do not war against flesh and blood. But against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of this dark age. I mean, we, we're not fighting against people, but Satan is such a punk that he uses God's people. So you got to get your mind off of, well, I'm fighting this person, or this person doesn't believe like I believe. Look, we're all deceived in some form or fashion. So what if they're not digging? If you're not digging into the truth, you're deceived. But if they're— if they don't even believe in the Bible, well, you know they're deceived. And if I'm speaking to someone that's an agnostic or an atheist, I'm coming at you from the Bible as this is the standard. It's my standard. It's what I base my life on. If you want to laugh and if you want to joke, use your standard. I'm going to stay with the Bible. All right, I'm summarizing here, and we had 3 pillars. I try to make every episode about one of these 3, and it's pretty much always gonna be about the foundation. We're always gonna talk about the Word of God. So if you don't build your life on the Word of God, then you are building, in my opinion, in the Word of God's opinion, you're building on sand. And when the storms of life, when all this fear, when COVID-19 or the next thing that comes up comes on you, then you are gonna have doubts, you're gonna have fears, you're gonna have unbelief, you're gonna have all of these things they're gonna come upon you because you've built your life on the sand. So I wanna encourage you, open that Bible, get in there and start building, start pounding up, you know, getting down into that rock that is the Word, and just get your life on that foundation. And then the filter, the same Bible that I use as a foundation, I also, when something comes against me or something that I don't agree with comes into play, I start, I start looking at it through the filter that's the Bible. And I said, God, does that line up with your word? And if it lines up with the word of God, then I start applying it. If it doesn't line up with the word of God, then I start making changes now. And it's not instantaneous. And I, you know, you saw, and I just admitted to sin. You know, I've never said that I'm perfect, and I'm not trying to be perfect. I'm not trying to to walk around and just go walk in sin. But I make mistakes just like you make mistakes. And me talking into this microphone, you're going to see, and I don't edit it all out. I mean, I could edit it out and put a filter on it, and you think, wow, Greg is so spiritual. But no, Greg's just like you. I, I'm just a guy. I'm a— I tell people all the time that I'm just an ordinary guy that serves an extraordinary God. God is forgiving, God is kind, he is gentle. He's not sitting, he's not looking to mash me. He let me do 30, but as you heard me talking about this on this podcast, he let, but as I'm talking, I get these thoughts in my head, and I don't know if that's just me thinking or if that's God talking to me through my voice box that I put inside, and that God's put inside my head. And we've talked on a previous episode, and I'm gonna dig a little bit deeper about the 3 voices. That are inside my head. There's me that talks to me, and I've talked about this I think before, and then there's the punk that talks to me, and then there's God. And maybe while you were listening to this podcast, I don't know, maybe that was God just kind of tweaking, because I promise you, I was thinking I was going to do 5-day. I was just going Monday through Friday, and then I had that thought, you know, I worked on 6 days. I mean, that is how cool God is. And you just kind of heard how God kind of speaks to me He kind of just said, no, you're gonna do it 6 days. And I don't know that God— he would be fine with me doing it 1 day, but when I said 5, he tweaked it, I think, and said, no, you're gonna— if you're gonna do a 5, you're gonna do it 6, because I worked 6 days. So I'm gonna work. And that's another thing that I found out, and what I— what has changed is I used to do a lot of talking. You know, you can tell I talk. But I was dream, and I, you know, and I would say, well, I'm gonna do this and I'm gonna do that. But I just never got to the place because the punk kept saying, well, who are you? And he kept beating me up mentally, and he would just beat me up to a stop, all right, where I wouldn't work. Well, I'm done listening to him. As best I can, I want to listen to God, and I want to encourage and inspire and empower you to quit listening to all of that negative condemnation. Because in Romans, I think it's 8:1, you know, he says, now there is no— therefore no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. Quit listening to the condemning voice. He's a punk. He's a liar. Quit lying to yourself. If you think that's your voice, that's not your voice. That's the punk talking to you. You start telling yourself the truth, and you start finding out what the truth is in your life and start living that. The truth in my life is the Word of God. And that gets me to the third and final pillar that I've talked about, and that's the follow-through. Quit being just a hearer of the Word of God and let's start being a doer. And that's why I'm here. I think I'm just in my little, in my little bitty world and my little bitty effort, I'm trying to do the Word of God. God gave me the microphone, or I bought the microphone Whatever, however you want to look at it, I took that step, that quote leap of faith to start talking into a microphone in this empty room, but here I am. I want to encourage you that whatever God's been telling you to do, I want to encourage you to take a step, take a leap, take a, you know, just get one step at a time and you will start because here I am 30 days later. Now I have 30 podcasts that are never going to go away, or 30 episodes that are never going to go away. They're up there forever. And so I just want to— I'm going to try to wrap this up. I want to just thank you. I wanted to get this 30 out, and I wanted to tell you that I'm fired up. And if you're a part of this, I want to thank you for being a part of this. And I hope that if you've endured— because like I told you, my mom went to be with Jesus in 2014. So I, I don't have Mom to listen to my podcast anymore, but she's listening in heaven, and I hope that she's smiling. I hope that she, for the most part, is enjoying what she's hearing. But I'm really doing this podcast for an audience of one, and it's you and it's God. Because if you know God, you are one with him, and I, I really want to speak God's truth to you as best I can. And I want to use— because the Holy Spirit is perfect, and Jesus was perfect, and Father God is perfect— but they're so cool and they're so good that they use my imperfection to highlight how good they are. And if you can see God through me, I just— I've got a smile, and I've got to say, God, I maybe— maybe I did one thing right. Today. But I do, I do want to tell you that I do enjoy this. And if you, if you like what you hear, I just— come on back the next time. And I'm gonna promise I'm gonna try to get it down to 10 or 12 minutes so that I'm just not just in your ear for 15 or 20. You can go on to something else. But thank you for being a part of this. And I'm gonna have to get my sponsor back on here next time because he's, he's in my ear too. And he's wearing me out. But thank you again, and I look forward to visiting with you on day 31.
