No Doubt Only Believe Will Stand On Three Pillars

In Episode 9 of the “No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe” podcast, host Greg Ryan introduces his recurring framework of three teaching pillars that will shape future episodes. He opens with a reading of John 1:1‑14, emphasizing that the Word (Jesus) is the foundation for a Christian life. He then references Matthew 6:33, urging listeners to “seek first the kingdom of God.” Ryan explains that believers live in two realms—the visible, physical realm and the invisible spirit realm where God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit dwell. The three pillars are: (1) Foundation – building one’s life on Christ and Scripture, treating the Bible as an offensive weapon and seed that produces spiritual growth; (2) Filter – processing all sensory information through a biblical worldview, replacing worldly filters with Scripture‑based discernment; (3) Follow‑through – moving from hearing the Word to doing it, actively living out faith rather than merely attending church. He shares personal anecdotes about past mistakes, the need to forget the past, and his own journey of learning to apply a biblical filter. The episode ends with a motivational call to be “relentless” in pursuing God’s calling, a brief sponsor plug for 1211 Apparel, and a reminder to subscribe for upcoming episodes that will dive deeper into seeking God’s kingdom.

Welcome to episode 9. I'm ready to get into it. I hope you are ready. Today we are going to talk about the 3 pillars that I'm going to try to make every teaching kind of revolve around, and so far I've been doing an okay job of it. But right now, let's go to the Gospel of John chapter 1, verse 1. In the beginning was the Word, and cue intro guy.
The Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Spending time in the Word of God is the best way to spend time with God. Welcome to No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe podcast, where we will encourage, inspire, and empower you to live your best life in Christ. Here's Greg.
Welcome to episode 9. We are one episode away from double digits. And that is an accomplishment for me. And if you've listened to all 8 previous episodes, that's an accomplishment for you, and I want to thank you. But if not, click the subscribe button so that you don't miss any of this wonderfulness. Now, what I want to talk about today, um, in episode 8, I talked about how Paul forgot those things which are behind him and he strove forward. To the upward call in Christ Jesus. So, so one key to living is forgetting the past. We're all going to make mistakes. Nobody's perfect. There was one superstar, and it wasn't you or me, it was Jesus. So there was one person that walked on this earth that was perfect. And so we're not called to be perfect. We, we know we're going to— the Bible says all have sinned, all make mistakes, all miss the mark. So let's just put those things behind you And let's move forward. And going forward, the next thing— and I, and I like looking at firsts, you know, when it— when you look in the Bible, the next, the next scripture that I, I want to bring up is Matthew 6:33: Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. We, we chase after a lot of things in this, in this life. And one of the things I believe that get neglected because we're chasing after things that we can see, we neglect the things that are not seen, and that is the spirit realm. And so one of the reasons that I'm doing this podcast is to kind of open your eyes to the fact that there's another— I call it another realm. There's a physical realm and there's a spirit realm, and And the spirit realm is where God is. That's where Jesus is. That's where the Holy Spirit is. And that's really where the punk hangs out as well. The power is in the spirit realm. And what I'm trying to do is I'm trying to give you some tools to help you get engaged into the spirit realm. And that is my whole purpose. There's 3 pillars teaching pillars that I kind of base all of my teaching on. And the first pillar is the foundation. And you've seen— you hear my intro guy, and I try to have the, the intro guy come in and talk about, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, the Word became flesh. Jesus is the Word. The Bible is the key to you getting close to God. You got to know the Bible. You got to have the sword of the Spirit in you, and you got to be carrying it. You got to— that's why that's your offensive weapon. That is a seed that you can plant and you can grow in Christ. And you, when you plant the incorruptible seed, we're going to talk about that. But the foundation and built— building your, your whole world on Christ, on that foundation of Christ. If you build your house on a strong and firm foundation, you don't ever have to worry about the storms of life coming and knocking your house down. And the second pillar that I'm going to try to tie— and not all of them are going to have all the pillars, but one, every, every lesson is going to have at least one, and hopefully sometimes they'll even have all three— but the second pillar is the filter. And the filter is how you see things. You've got five senses in this physical realm, and your, your, your sight your smell, your hearing, your tasting, your touching. Those 5 senses, you bring in it, you're bringing in information all the time. And how you filter those 5 senses, what are you using as your filter? Are you using the world, the stuff that you learned? My first 29 years of learning things, I didn't have a biblical filter. So when I started, when I started, when I see something or I'd hear something, the only filter I had to run it through was the filter that that I picked up through living life. And that filter is wrong, and it's difficult. One of the reasons I had to go up to the altar all the time and clean this stuff, it was just terrible thinking. It was just thinking through the wrong patterns, doing the wrong things too many times, and not seeing the world through a biblical filter. And when I was in church and when I heard the Word of God, 'cause faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit is there with me, me. And when the word was being preached, and I knew, I, you know, I knew the word was— I knew the word was true, and I could feel the Holy Spirit going, yep, that's you. And it was every week, I'm telling you. I went up to the altar because I was so messed up. But God kind of cleaned me up. I'm still a work in progress. But the second thing is the filter. And how do you— do you see— you got to run what you see and hear and the things that going on in your life, if you run it through a biblical filter, you are going to be so much stronger and have so much more clarity and peace and love and joy. Those things, if you, if you start taking the information and running it through a biblical filter, that is going to bring peace to your life. And the third thing is the follow-through. We have got an awful lot of people sitting in the pews, kicking back, going to church, marking a little X on their calendar, and saying, "I've done it. I did church, and so I'm good." The Bible tells you to be a doer of the word and not a hearer only. So follow through. We've got to put action to the word. When the Holy Spirit gets, when he kind of gets on to me or gets on to you, You're going to have to put feet to that because the Holy Spirit is using you to fulfill his word. So I just— those three things, those three pillars are the three things that I'm gonna always and constantly talk on and teach on. But that, that is— I just wanted to kind of give you an introduction. And, and if you were wondering, if you just stumbled onto this podcast and you're going, what is this all about? Well, now you know. It's going to be those 3 pillars and the, the seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. That's Matthew 6:33. We're going to talk about that in the next episode, episode 10, and we're going to talk about the first, how if you want to, if you want to have all these other things, you seek first the kingdom of God. And the way I've got the kingdom of God translated is God's way of doing things. And so it says that if you, if you do it God's way, all these things— and that's all the things that Jesus mentioned in the previous verses— will be added to you. So God doesn't just— you just got to be holy and you got to just pray all the time and you're not going to get anything. No, That's not the way God does things. So we're going to talk about that tomorrow. I just want to get— I just wanted to come in here and do a quick podcast just to kind of give you— if you're— if you've made it this far, there is a method to my madness, and it probably is madness, but I'm, I'm going to do this. I—
my—
