In episode 10 of the “No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe” podcast, host Greg Ryan opens with a repeated affirmation that the Word of God is the foundation of the Christian life. He then promotes his sponsor, 1211 Apparel, a Bible‑based clothing line that offers “Prayer Wear and Share” to help believers fulfill the Great Commission. The main teaching centers on Matthew 6:33 – “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.” Ryan uses the analogy of a wheel whose axle represents the Word of God; if the axle (spiritual foundation) is faulty, the spokes (health, wealth, relationships) and the tire (life) cannot function properly. He explains the three parts of a person – spirit, soul, and body – and stresses that the spirit, made like Christ, is what God values. Ryan highlights the three Christian virtues Paul mentions – faith, hope, and love – as essential for a stable walk. To illustrate humility and divine provision, he reads 2 Chronicles 1 (Solomon’s prayer for wisdom) and shows how God rewards Solomon’s focus on wisdom with riches and honor. Throughout, Ryan encourages listeners to trust God’s way, build on the Word, and expect God’s blessings when they prioritize the kingdom. The episode ends with a call to subscribe, leave reviews, and a reminder of Christ’s imminent return.
Welcome to episode 10. We are officially in double digits, and I promise you I'm not going to keep counting. I will keep score just so I have something, but let's go to the Gospel of John 1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and cue the intro guy.
The Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Spending time in the word of God is the best way to spend time with God. Welcome to No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe podcast, where we will encourage, inspire, and empower you to live your best life in Christ. Here's Greg Ryan.
When I edit this, I have to listen to the intro guy every time, and I know you probably get tired of it, but I just want to cement the fact that it is all based on the Word of God, and Jesus is the Word of God, and he became flesh and dwelt among us. And that is an important, if not the most necessary, foundational pillar that we can put in. So you're going to hear it every time. Now you can fast forward or put it on 2x speed or however you want to listen, but every time you're going to hear the Word of God was God and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Well, you know that I have a sponsor, and of course I am the sponsor, but I want to introduce you— if you have this the first time you've been on this podcast, I want to introduce you to our wonderful clothing line. It's called 1211 Apparel, and it's based entirely on the Word of God. It's based on Revelation 12:11, and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. This is the most powerful clothing line in the world because it is based on the Word of God and it is designed to give glory to God. And if you've ever struggled with the Great Commission, then this clothing line, Prayer Wear and Share, as the concept will help you. Let's listen to the advertisement now and I'll be back on the other side. 1211 Apparel, the most powerful clothing line in the world because it's based on the Bible and gives glory to God. Jesus gave his followers a Great Commission before he left, and that Great Commission includes you and me. But if you have ever struggled with sharing Jesus, 1211 Apparel created Prayer Wear and Share to help. It's a free training on how to fulfill Jesus' promise of light and easy found in Matthew 11:28-30. Since 1211 Apparel is Bible-based, they start out with giving first. Give and it will come back to you. This is not a theory, it's the truth. 1211 Apparel wants to give you access to unlimited Christian tracts and free training to help you get off the pew and into the battle for the souls of your friends and family. Use our special link, nodoubtonlybelieve.com/battle, to get started today. Today we're going to talk about what I mentioned on the previous episode. It's found in Matthew 6:33. "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." This is a foundational scripture, and it's Jesus telling his believers, look, seek first the kingdom of God. If you're looking to do an area of your life, and I want you to be able to picture, and I've thought long and hard on the picture that I would try to describe to you, and I'm gonna draw it out. I don't know that I'll have it drawn out, by the time this podcast gets, um, uploaded. But it is a picture— if you can imagine a wheel with the axle in the middle, and that middle axle, it's very small, it seems insignificant, but if that center is messed up on your wheel, the whole outside, everything that you put on that wheel— and I'm picturing spokes and then the tire But the, the axle itself is what I want to concentrate on. If you are not putting God first and the teachings of Jesus— he said that the wise builder builds on the rock and the unwise builder builds on the sand. This would be like you putting something else in the center of your life as, as what you're going to build your life on. And if you are not building your life on the Word of God I'm telling you, that is the absolute— I can promise you that that is the reason for all of your difficulties. Now, it's not the only reason, but if you've got a faulty foundation, when, when the waves and when the storms of life come crashing in, as Jesus talks about, it is gonna— there's gonna be destruction. And so when you're thrown to and fro in this life, I will promise you, if you're not built— if you don't have a biblical worldview, if you're not looking at things through the Bible and trying to find your answer. And I know it's difficult, and that's why I'm here, is just to help you and ask, and ask the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit wrote the book. I did not write one, but one word in the Bible, so we can put that to bed. So I, I am nowhere near the most powerful teacher in the universe because I, I didn't put anything in that Bible. In fact, everyone that has written words in that Bible are gone. So their power remains based on what the Holy Spirit had them write. That's a whole different story, but the, the wheel I want you to see is that center axis, that is the Word of God, that is the foundation of Jesus, and then the spokes that come off of that wheel, that's where you've got health, that's where you've got wealth, and that's where you have relationships. And those spokes, now you can break those spokes down in different spokes, I think the 3 main areas of people's life are health, wealth, and relationships, if you have your spiritual foundation set. And so I wanna go back to what Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, where it says, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness." Well, if you've accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, his righteousness is in you. You have become exactly, your spirit man has become exactly like Christ. You are, a third of you is 100% just like Jesus. And the good news is, is that's the part Father God looks at when he looks down on you. He looks at your spirit man that's 100% just like Jesus. It's perfect, it's sealed with the Holy Spirit. That person, and I'll talk about this in another episode, but that person is what is perfect. And when the Bible starts talking about your spirit, That's what we're talking about. But the, the other areas of your life that righteousness has been— you have his righteousness in you, but you also have two other parts in you, which is your body and your soul. But the kingdom of God— seek first the kingdom of God— I'm gonna translate that for you as God's way of doing things. And God's way of doing things, it, you know, it says in the Bible that God's ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are higher, and they're not our thoughts. But his ways of doing things are so powerful that you just have to trust the process. And that's where faith comes in, you know. And there's another thing, and I'm— you know, forgive me for a minute while I chase this rabbit, but what, what good dog doesn't like running after a rabbit every now and then? But the 3 things Paul says after he talks about love, these 3 remain: faith, hope, and love. If you are gonna concentrate in 3 areas of your spiritual life. Concentrate on faith, hope, and love. If you grow those 3 things, you're not going to go wrong in your Christian walk. But it takes faith to believe the word of God. It's impossible to please God without faith. But you have to believe that the way— God's way of doing things is better than your way of doing things. And his way of doing things is seeking. He says seek first his way. And I just want to give you an example of King Solomon. King Solomon is David's son, and he's the one that took over after David— after David passed away, or he— King Solomon became king after King David. If you remember, and it's the, the story that I'm going to read out of is 2 Chronicles, it's in chapter 1, and it's It starts at verse 7, but I kind of want to give you a little bit of a summary before I read it. King Solomon becomes king, and he just humbles himself and tells God, hey God, I just got to tell you, I don't know what I'm doing. So when he— God says, ask me for anything and I'll give it to you. So Solomon asked in this prayer, let's pick it up with this thought. On that night, God appeared to Solomon and said to him, Ask, what shall I give you? And Solomon said to God, You have shown great mercy to David my father, and have made me king in his place. Now, O Lord God, let your promise to David my father be established, for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. Now give me wisdom and knowledge that I may go out and come in before this people, For who can judge this great people of yours? Then God said to Solomon, because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life, but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people over whom I have made you king, Wisdom and knowledge are granted to you, and I will give you riches and wealth and honor such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like. Now I apologize for reading that to you. I know it's a little awkward, but I just want you to hear it straight from the Bible, and it— I want you to think about when God says his ways are not your ways, and if you'll humble yourself— God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Solomon came to him humble and said, I, I can't do this. I— you've given me all these people and I'm supposed to lead over these people. There's no way I can do that. And I'm paraphrasing, but that's pretty much what the— what I heard Solomon say. And he didn't ask for riches, he didn't ask for money. He didn't ask for anything but wisdom so that he could help God's people. And God told Solomon, since you asked for wisdom to help my people and you didn't ask for all these other things, I'm going to give you all these other things on top of that. And nobody will ever be— nobody has ever been like you, and nobody will ever be like you. So I just want to encourage you, when you start humbling yourself before God, and you start, you know, when it says to do things my way, seek first the kingdom of God, my way of doing things, just know that if you put God first in your life, all this other stuff God will add to you. But he wants you to get this one thing right, so when he adds those things to you, then you have a great foundation to build your life on. Well, that's enough of that. I will try to put something in the show notes to give you something to look at. It may be a little It may be a little later than when I first post this. Thank you again, and if you haven't subscribed, please do so. And if you don't mind, please leave a review or a comment. I try to read them all. I'm really playing for an audience of one, but it is important for me to hear from you and to correct, because I'm telling you, this is number 10 and I'm not all that wonderful at it yet, but I'm, I'm getting better. So I thank you again for stopping by, and I want to encourage you to have a great day. And remember, God is one day closer today at his return. Thanks again.
