The Gift of Salvation: How You Can Bring Glory to Father God?

In episode 324 of the “No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe” podcast, host Greg Ryan wraps up a three‑question series that he says must be answered before a believer can truly walk by faith rather than by sight. He begins by emphasizing the need to know who God is and who we are in the body of Christ, arguing that without that foundation the question of how to bring glory to God is meaningless. Ryan then outlines the essentials of salvation: declaring Jesus as Lord and Savior, accepting His death and resurrection, and receiving God’s righteousness. He warns that merely using Jesus’ name, performing miracles, or calling oneself a Christian does not guarantee heaven, citing Matthew 7:22‑23 and the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. Repentance is presented as a simple change of mind, and he urges listeners to study the Gospel of John and abide in Scripture (John 8:31‑32, John 14:12). The core practical message is that believers bring glory to God by living out their ordinary vocations faithfully, embodying the body of Christ, and allowing God’s work to be done through them. He concludes with a prayer and a call to pursue the kingdom of God first, trusting that God’s righteousness and greater works will follow.

Welcome to episode 324. In this episode, I'm going to conclude in answering the 3 questions that I believe you need to have answered before you can learn to walk by faith and not by sight. I told you this faith topic was going to be a huge topic, and there's a lot of things to dig out. But before we get started, grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Well, when we talk about walking by faith, you know, when you become a new creation, a new creature, when you become born again as a baby. Everybody starts the same. Everybody starts as a baby in Christ. The supernatural is parent to the natural. I believe what you see in the natural happens in the supernatural. And I don't want to make your head swim or anything like that, but if you see a baby and you see it being born, and then you watch it grow, and then it starts taking on a personality, and it starts doing things on its own— and we do the exact same thing, and it takes us time before we can learn to walk by faith and not by sight. There are laws of faith, and we've got to understand those. We're going to dive deep in the laws of faith in this lesson, but not in this episode. In this episode, I'm going to answer the question, how can you bring glory to God? Since this is the final question that we need to answer, I believe it's important to think about the two previous questions: who is God and who are you in the body of Christ? And I think each one of those build on each other And the final question is how we can bring glory to God. If we don't know who God is, if we don't have Father God as the, the Most High God and the God above everything else, then it doesn't matter what the other two questions are or the answers. And if you don't know who you are in the body of Christ, then it's not going to matter about how do you bring glory to God because you don't even know who you are in Christ. So we've got to know who we are, we got to know who God is, and then I believe we can get to this last question is how can we bring glory to God? And we have to remember this is not our kingdom, that this is God's kingdom that we're building. And the Bible is clear in Matthew 6:33, it says, but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. And I hear a lot of people quote Matthew 6:33, teach on the kingdom of God, and it says, but seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. God's righteousness is the standard bearer becoming who we are in Christ, because if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you do not have the righteousness of God in Christ. You are not saved. You have not been changed. You are not a new creation. We're going to discover what happens in the next Bible verse if you do these things. Now, faith will still work for you, and that's why I want to get these 3 questions answered correctly before we get started in our faith walk. Before we start learning to walk by faith and not by sight, we have to understand that we have got to get salvation right. You have got to declare Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior. You have got to become a Christian, and whatever that means to you, what it means to me is that you become a new creature, that you accept by faith what Jesus did for you on the cross. Because we're going to talk about the faith of Jesus, we're going to talk about all this stuff, and we're going to talk about how to work this. But if we don't get this part right, it don't matter how good we get the rest of it right, that's all going to be wrong because you're going to spend eternity in hell And nobody wants that. God does not want anyone to spend eternity in hell. It is not God that's going to send you to hell. I need you to get this right. It is you that is going to deny God's Son Jesus that's going to allow you to go to hell. You are going to choose to go to hell based on your choices. You are going to say, look, I don't want nothing to do with this Jesus guy. I don't want nothing to do with the Bible guy. I think this Greg is an idiot, or whatever it is that you're saying, you might be right about this last thing, but if you don't have Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are not going to spend eternity in heaven. It's just that simple. We have to declare with our mouth and believe in our heart that God raised Christ from the dead. That's how we're saved. Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. That's why I jump up on the soapbox all the time and say, get into the Bible and allow the Bible, the word of God, to get into you. We have got to get into the Word of God. But it says, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. If you want things in your life added to you, you got to do it God's way. That's how I define the kingdom of God. And you have to have his righteousness, which is his right standing. And it— that only comes through salvation, and it only comes by believing that Jesus Christ came and died for our sin and was resurrected the third day. He was born a virgin. He lived a perfect life. He died a death that you and I deserve to die, but he did it in our place. We accept what he did on the cross, and then when we accept that by faith, the faith of God, that the same faith that raised Jesus Christ from the dead will live inside of you, and then you can use the name of Jesus to do things, do mighty things for the kingdom of God. And that's what we're going to get to in this episode, because I think you need to understand— we've talked about this multiple times— not everybody who says they're a Christian is going to make heaven. And I know that seems a little harsh, but I didn't write not one word in the Bible. Let's go to Matthew 7:22-23. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name and done many wonders in your name? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness. And that is sobering. That is God himself saying there's going to be many, not just a couple, two or three, many. We can look at the parable of the virgins where I believe it's half of the, quote, church, half of the people that declare themselves the church or Christians. Jesus is going to let the five wise virgins into heaven, and he's going to shut the door on the 5 foolish virgins. And this, I think, is an example in Matthew 7:22-23. This is teaching that same principle, is just because you can use the name of Jesus, and just because you can walk by faith, and just because you can do mighty wonders and mighty miracles in Jesus' name, that don't mean you're going to get heaven. And if you miss heaven, you've missed everything. We don't need to see miracles and many wonders here on earth and miss heaven. I'm here, I'm jumping up and down, I'm doing everything I can. If you are not sure you are a Christian, I'm almost begging you, I just want you with the Holy Spirit's help, just think on these things, think on this, and ask God, just help me with this. I don't want to miss heaven. I believe that God doesn't want any to perish. That's his will. But he says many will, and that is just the fact. Many are going to deny Christ. He's asking, I'm begging you to reconsider. Repentance means just to change your mind. It's one of those fancy-pants Christian words we've talked about. Repentance simply means to change your mind. So just change your mind on Jesus and just get into the word. Start with the Gospel of John and just ask the Holy Spirit if you still have doubts. Just ask the Holy Spirit what he wants you to know about the Gospel of John and just pray and just read it, and God will do the rest. It's a wonderful book. God is a wonderful God, and he wants you in heaven with him. He sent his only son to die for you. And I don't know why I'm jumping up and down. Whoever needs to hear that, just listen up with your spiritual ears and allow God into your heart, because we are to give glory to God. We are to be God's hands and feet. We talked in the previous episode about the body of Christ, that we are all part of the same body, but we're all different members of one body. And that just means that the body of Christ is what does the work here on earth, that you and I are the body of Christ. You and I are the ones going out. And if you are a plumber and you are a Christian and you love Jesus, just be the best plumber you can be. Treat people like you want to be treated. People will be drawn to you and to God. And the last scripture that I want to talk about is John 8:31-32. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, if you abide in my word, you are my disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. And we talked about in a previous episode where Jesus said, I am the true vine. He who abides in me and I in him will bear much fruit, for without me you can do nothing. And that's why I was saying these things kind of build on each other. If you don't have Father God right, if you're not abiding in the vine, then we start talking about abiding in his word. It's the same word of God, and it all kind of works together. We are to bring glory to God. God is not going to share his glory with anybody. And I want to remind you one last scripture the one of the ones that God had me memorize, and it's in 1 Corinthians 1:26-29. For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things that are mighty, and the base things of the world and the things that are despised. God has chosen, and the things that are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in his presence. There you have it. God's just calling you and I— I'm pretty confident if you're listening to this podcast that you are not great, you're not mighty, you're not wise. I mean, I'm not calling you dumb or stupid or weak. I'm just saying you're probably just a regular guy or gal just like me, and we are called by God. That's who God calls, and he is calling you or I so that the world can see that this just average regular Joe is proclaiming the word of God and it's changing lives. And it's not for yours and my glory, it is for the glory of God. You and I are to proclaim the word of God to give God glory. We are to build his kingdom and not our kingdom.. And the sooner that we learn that, the sooner that we will walk in faith and we will do mighty wonderful things for God. And John 14:12 is a scripture, is a Bible verse that changed my life, and it says, most assuredly, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do because I go to my Father. And that is an incredible Bible verse That's an incredible scripture, and that is what we have to look forward to in these faith walks. That is our ultimate goal, is to do the works of Jesus, not because we are Jesus, but because Jesus called us to be his ambassadors. And if we're going to do the works of God, we have got to first understand why we're doing them, who we are in Christ, and who Father God is. And I'm going to stop there. I can feel myself rambling on, and I apologize. But let's pray. God, I thank you so much for your word. God, I thank you that you are love and that you loved us first by sending your Son to die for us. God, I thank you that you then sent your Holy Spirit and that your Spirit is here with us. God, lead us, guide us, direct us into your word. Lord, help us in this faith walk. Help me to speak the words that you want spoken. Lord, we thank you. We love you. We ask it all in Jesus' name. Amen. Well, thank you for being a part of this, and I look forward to visiting with you in the next episode.
