There is No Plan B in Gods Kingdom

Greg Ryan argues Christians must commit fully to Christ with no backup plan, citing Matthew 13 and Romans 12. He urges listeners to pursue God's perfect will, become living sacrifices, and grow 1% daily through prayer and Scripture. The Great Commission and readiness for persecution are non-negotiable.
Welcome to episode 163, In the Beginning Was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Spending time in the Word of God is the best way to spend time with God. Welcome to No Doubt, No Fear, Only Believe podcast, where we will encourage, inspire, and empower you to live your best life in Christ. Here's Greg.
Welcome to episode 163. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. If you have followed me up the mountain, you will know that we have made it to the top. We have hopefully wrote out our obituary to figure out why and how we are going to hear, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." Why did God make us? We got to answer some deep questions. It's probably a little more deep than you really want to go on a podcast episode, But I think it's important. I think because we are— we love Matthew 6:33, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. God's way of doing things is seeing the end from the beginning, and I believe that we need to look at the end. When our last day, when our last breath leaves our body, what's going to be said about you and I? And I believe that the most important thing as we set our goal for that day— because none of us are getting out of this thing alive and there's no Plan B. I want you to figure out what Plan B would be. There is no Plan B. God made you for a specific purpose. Now, there is a good and acceptable and perfect will of God, so there may be 3 different paths that you can take. I think each one of us should try to get on the perfect will of God. And remember, I've talked about in a previous episode that when it says 'and,' if you have a check, if you're writing a check out and you put Greg and Mona on the check, Mona and I both have to sign or endorse that check for it to be worth anything or for the bank to cash that. And so when you read 'and,' that ties together all the ideas. So there is a good and acceptable and perfect will of God. And I believe that we walk— most of the time I think I'm walking in the good will of God, or maybe the acceptable will of God, but my goal— and I'm striving to find the perfect will of God. And what I'm doing and what I believe is where God is calling me and he is telling me to sell out. And I wanna go to that scripture because it is just lit me up. And it's in Matthew 14:44. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid, and for joy over it, he goes and sells all he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. Have you gone all in on God? Have you gone all in on God's word? And I know, I know we're not all me and we're not all radical fanatics, but you ought to be. God's saying, hey, sell out everything, everything that you've got, sell it and purchase this field of great value. Purchase this pearl. If you are looking for the quote answers and life. It is found in the Bible, and it is found in no other person except Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And there is no Plan B. If you think there is a Plan B, I need to know what it is, because I have sold out on this thing. I am all in on the Bible. I know people that listen to this, some of you, if you're just coming in here this first time, you're going to think, man, this guy is out there, and I may be, but I'm telling you, I believe this word, and I have lived my life as best I could the last 28 years based on this Bible. And I don't try to figure everything out. I like to dig into the word of God and try to figure out how I can change my life to line up with the word. I'm no longer trying to get the word to line up with my life. I am getting my life as best I can in line with this word, and I am going forward. I'm taking a step, and I'm trying to just get 1% better every day. And it's just the little things. I'm just tweaking the little things in life that just try to make a difference. And I just create different habits. I get up in the morning, I take time, I just— I'm quiet before God. And I'm not saying that to pat myself on the back. I'm just saying that that's what I'm choosing to do. And I wanna encourage you, go all in. I want you to know that there is no plan B. Jesus gave us the Great Commission and he told us to go into all the world and preach the good news. And the good news is, hey, you can make heaven. Hey, there is another way, there's another path and you can make it. And we're gonna talk about in the next episode What is salvation and what is sin? And we've talked about this before. I just want to shine the light on the fact that there's no Plan B. God told us to spread the word. Where he's not sending his angels out there to do it, he's not sending people that don't believe in him to do it. He is sending you and I, and, and we are to go out and we are to just proclaim the good news. And with everything that we do We are to speak about Jesus. Now that don't mean that you're so heavenly minded you're no earthly good. And it just fires me up. I don't know if you've ever been around people, and I don't want to get on to somebody, but if every other word is, oh bless God, oh praise God, oh bless God, you can't communicate with those people. Can you be just a little bit normal? Can you just be a regular guy or a regular gal and just go on about your life? But when something happens that you have an opportunity to react a little different. And I don't want any of y'all rolling your eyes because you've seen me driving on a busy street, because I'm still learning. I'm telling you, I am an imperfect man following after a perfect example, and all I'm trying to do is to be a little bit more like Jesus every day. And if I do that, I think I'm green and growing instead of just being ripe and rotten, thinking that I've just made it and I can sit back on my butt and think, well, hurry up, God, get back. I don't know why you didn't come back yesterday because I was ready. No, that's not our attitude. Our attitude is we need to occupy this earth, this world, until Jesus returns. Now, if Jesus is going to return, if there is a rapture before Jesus returns, I'm for it. I'm looking towards it. But if for some reason that the people that think that we're going to get out of here with that trap door and the trumpet's going to sound, if it doesn't happen and if we have to stand before a world leader that tells us that you and I cannot worship God, are you prepared? Are you prepared to stand before that person and say, look, I don't care what you do, I don't care What you threaten me with, I'm gonna follow Jesus. I'm gonna be the guy that stands up there in the face of death because I know, I know in my spirit man, I know I've sold out to this idea, this pearl of great value. I know that there is a heaven and I know that there is a hell. And if I stand before man The fear of man is a snare. If I stand before any man and tell him or deny my Lord and Savior, then I think I'm in trouble. I don't know that I was ever truly saved. And I do not think that— now, I'm not here to tell you that I'm ready to die. I mean, to live is Christ and to die is gain, that was Paul. And Paul was our fanatic times 100. Paul was so fanatical that it's amazing when you read. He wrote two-thirds of the New Testament, I believe, words-wise. But he wrote most of the New Testament, and this guy was an animal. And this guy was just hoping he would wake up in the morning, I hope today is the day I get to die. That's not me. But I'm telling you, we have to, as a warrior and as a follower of Jesus, we need to be prepared. And that is why In Romans 12:1, I— it says, Paul says, I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, present yourselves a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable, which is your reasonable service. Present yourself daily as a living sacrifice. And the problem with being a living sacrifice is you can crawl off that altar and you can kind of do your own thing, and it is really difficult to just be a dead man walking. And that is my goal. I don't do it wonderfully well. I'm getting better at it. But when you can just walk through life and not react and not care what somebody thinks or does— and I think it has to do with action. And the more I talk into this microphone and the more that I proclaim the word of God, the— I don't know if I get bolder, but I just don't care. I don't care— I mean, I do care what you think. If you're a fanatic and you come in, I do not want to mislead you. I, I'm here to encourage, empower, and inspire you. That's my only goal, is to fire you up. And if you can hear the commitment in my voice, I just want to encourage you, just get committed. This thing is for real. This thing is forever. It's for eternity, and it's for the right reasons. It is to love one another. You love God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul, and you love your neighbor as yourself. You get those two things right, you got the whole Old Testament. That's what Jesus said. The law and the prophets hang on these two. Those two things— love God, love people— you get those two right, you've got most of the Bible correct. And then you get into the rest of it and you tweak the loving God in love. What does that really mean, and how do we go about that? Well, I just want to pray. God, I thank you so much for what you're doing in me. God, I thank you for your word. I thank you for this person listening to this episode, and I pray in Jesus' name that you would just give them the fire that you've put in me. God, I pray that that would fall on them, and Lord, that they would get a hunger and they would get a thirst for your word and for your power. God, we thank you, we love you, we ask it all in Jesus' name. Amen. Well, thank you for being a part of this, and I look forward to visiting with you on the next episode.
