YouTube Bible Study Tools God Workout Calculator Feb Update

Greg Ryan built a free spreadsheet that tracks bodyweight exercises with a 1% daily increase. Starting January 1 with 20 squats, 12 push-ups, and 30 crunches, by day 365 he'd hit 446 squats, 268 push-ups, and 669 crunches. Tiny daily gains compound into massive yearly totals.

Hey, this is Greg Ryan with Jesus Mighty Men, and I want to do a real quick video on the Kingdom of God calculator that I created. It's most specifically the physical activity. It's the one that I've been doing since January 1st, and today it's February 4th of 2019, and I just want to show you how this thing works and what I originally put in, and then just show you that daily what little bitty increases can do and and the impact that it'll have in the next year. So I just want to encourage you, just if you haven't taken advantage of this calculator yet, go get it. It's free for you to use. Go get it, and it's a great way to see kind of a God outlook on any, any area in your life. This one specifically is for, uh, is for exercise. But let's just jump in this real quick, and I just want you to see Day 1, which I started in January, and you can see up here my chicken scratch, January 2019. I started with 20 bodyweight squats, 12 push-ups, and 30 crunches. And then each day what I did is I just went and did a little tick, you know, I just ticked off. I did 20, 12, and 30, and I started with a real easy exercise, something I could do just falling off a log. Easy. So 20 bodyweight squats was not a big deal, 12 push-ups, 30 crunches. So then I just went down, and each day I just ticked this off. And, and I can't remember, but I want to say it started on a Tuesday or whatever, but every, every Sabbath, every Sunday I chose to be a Sabbath. So I just circle— you'll see that I circled it when it was Sunday and whatever day that I ended up whatever day I quit, like say if the 5th, I don't remember, but if the 5th was a Saturday, then the 6th was my Sabbath. I circled that date and didn't do anything. So then I picked back up on the day that was just above it or hadn't been checked off yet. But I want to show you how quick things just kind of build up. You can see all the way, January 1st, I printed this whole thing out, but then we're going into February now, and I'm at day 35. So I think today it was 27, 16, and 40. So you can see that it's increasing each day a little bit. It's 1% increase each day, so it's not a big deal. But, and I had yesterday was Sunday, so I had my Sabbath, I checked that off. And tomorrow will be the 36th day, so you'll see tomorrow, I'm not going to have another video, but it'll be 27, 16, and 40. But what's really cool is I want to show you, after you print out the whole year, you will actually see, and on the next page you will see what the end of the year is going to look like. And I want you to keep in mind, and you can see where I started right here, each page has the starting numbers. 20, 12, and 30 is where I started. Look at day 365, 446, 268 push-ups, and 669 crunches. So I just want to show you what 1% will look like 1 year from when you start. And regardless of how small number you put up there, it is going to, it's going to grow exponentially as you increase 1% a day. It's— anybody can do this. And so I want to encourage you to go get your free copy. I'm going to continue to do this each month. I'm going to have a monthly update, but at the very end of the calculator, I think— yeah, I did, I did print it out. Total reps by the end of year 1, you will see that I started with 20, 12, and 30. And if I do every one, which I plan on doing, I'm going to do 43,042 squats 25,825 push-ups, and 64,563 squats or crunches. So hopefully within a year you will see, I haven't seen a lot of change with my, with my body or with my energy level, but over a year if I get to those numbers or when I get to those numbers, you, I'm going to see a significant increase. So That's enough for now. I just wanted to do this quick video so that you could see, and I'm going to do this kind of a monthly update just to see how I'm going and encourage you to get started. Just start where you're at, and day one's day one, and just start ticking it off. And so I want to encourage you to go get your— I'll give you a— put a link in this video, and you go get your calculator and Let's get after it together. Thanks again.
